1. கர்த்தரைத் துதித்து, அவருடைய நாமத்தைப் பிரஸ்தாபமாக்குங்கள், அவருடைய செய்கைகளை ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளே பிரசித்தப்படுத்துங்கள்.

1. Give thanks to the LORD, proclaim his greatness; tell the nations what he has done.

2. அவரைப் பாடி, அவரைக் கீர்த்தனம்பண்ணுங்கள்; அவருடைய அதிசயங்களையெல்லாம் தியானித்துப் பேசுங்கள்.

2. Sing praise to the LORD; tell the wonderful things he has done.

3. அவருடைய பரிசுத்த நாமத்தைக் குறித்து மேன்மைபாராட்டுங்கள்; கர்த்தரைத் தேடுகிறவர்களின் இருதயம் மகிழ்வதாக.

3. Be glad that we belong to him; let all who worship him rejoice.

4. கர்த்தரையும் அவர் வல்லமையையும் நாடுங்கள்; அவர் சமுகத்தை நித்தமும் தேடுங்கள்.

4. Go to the LORD for help; and worship him continually.

5. அவருடைய தாசனாகிய ஆபிரகாமின் சந்ததியே! அவரால் தெரிந்து கொள்ளப்பட்டவர்களாகிய யாக்கோபின் புத்திரரே!

5. You descendants of Abraham, his servant; you descendants of Jacob, the man he chose: remember the miracles that God performed and the judgments that he gave.

6. அவர் செய்த அதிசயங்களையும், அவருடைய அற்புதங்களையும், அவர் வாக்கின் நியாயத்தீர்ப்புகளையும் நினைவுகூருங்கள்.

10. The LORD made a covenant with Jacob, one that will last forever.

11. உங்கள் சுதந்தரபாகமான கானான் தேசத்தை உனக்குத் தருவேன் என்றார்.

11. I will give you the land of Canaan,' he said. 'It will be your own possession.'

12. அக்காலத்தில் அவர்கள் கொஞ்சத் தொகைக்குட்பட்ட சொற்ப ஜனங்களும் பரதேசிகளுமாயிருந்தார்கள்.

12. God's people were few in number, strangers in the land of Canaan.

13. அவர்கள் ஒரு ஜனத்தைவிட்டு மறு ஜனத்தண்டைக்கும், ஒரு ராஜ்யத்தைவிட்டு மறு தேசத்தாரண்டைக்கும் போனார்கள்.

13. They wandered from country to country, from one kingdom to another.

14. அவர்களை ஒடுக்கும்படி ஒருவருக்கும் இடங்கொடாமல், அவர்கள் நிமித்தம் ராஜாக்களைக் கடிந்து கொண்டு:

14. But God let no one oppress them; to protect them, he warned the kings:

15. நான் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினவர்களை நீங்கள் தொடாமலும், என்னுடைய தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுக்குத் தீங்கு செய்யாமலும் இருங்கள் என்றார்.

15. Don't harm my chosen servants; do not touch my prophets.'

16. அவர் தேசத்திலே பஞ்சத்தை வருவித்து, ஆகாரமென்னும் ஆதரவுகோலை முற்றிலும் முறித்தார்.

16. The LORD sent famine to their country and took away all their food.

17. அவர்களுக்கு முன்னாலே ஒரு புருஷனை அனுப்பினார்; யோசேப்பு சிறையாக விற்கப்பட்டான்.

17. But he sent a man ahead of them, Joseph, who had been sold as a slave.

18. அவன் கால்களை விலங்குபோட்டு ஒடுக்கினார்கள்; அவன் பிராணன் இரும்பில் அடைபட்டிருந்தது.

18. His feet were kept in chains, and an iron collar was around his neck,

19. கர்த்தர் சொன்ன வார்த்தை நிறைவேறுமளவும் அவருடைய வசனம் அவனைப் புடமிட்டது.

19. until what he had predicted came true. The word of the LORD proved him right.

20. Then the king of Egypt had him released; the ruler of nations set him free.

21. He put him in charge of his government and made him ruler over all the land,

22. with power over the king's officials and authority to instruct his advisers.

23. Then Jacob went to Egypt and settled in that country.

24. அவர் தம்முடைய ஜனங்களை மிகவும் பலுகப்பண்ணி, அவர்களுடைய சத்துருக்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் அவர்களைப் பலவான்களாக்கினார்.

24. The LORD gave many children to his people and made them stronger than their enemies.

25. தம்முடைய ஜனங்களைப் பகைக்கவும், தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரரை வஞ்சனையாய் நடத்தவும், அவர்களுடைய இருதயத்தை மாற்றினார்.

25. He made the Egyptians hate his people and treat his servants with deceit.

26. தம்முடைய தாசனாகிய மோசேயையும் தாம் தெரிந்துகொண்ட ஆரோனையும் அனுப்பினார்.

26. Then he sent his servant Moses, and Aaron, whom he had chosen.

27. இவர்கள் அவர்களுக்குள் அவருடைய அடையாளங்களையும், காமின் தேசத்திலே அற்புதங்களையும் செய்தார்கள்.

27. They did God's mighty acts and performed miracles in Egypt.

28. அவர் இருளை அனுப்பி, அந்தகாரத்தை உண்டாக்கினார்; அவருடைய வார்த்தைகளை எதிர்ப்பாரில்லை.

28. God sent darkness on the country, but the Egyptians did not obey his command.

29. அவர்களுடைய தண்ணீர்களை இரத்தமாக மாற்றி, அவர்களுடைய மச்சங்களைச் சாகப்பண்ணினார்.

29. He turned their rivers into blood and killed all their fish.

30. அவர்களுடைய தேசம் தவளைகளைத் திரளாய்ப் பிறப்பித்தது; அவர்களுடைய ராஜாக்களின் அறைவீடுகளிலும் அவைகள் வந்தது.

30. Their country was overrun with frogs; even the palace was filled with them.

31. அவர் கட்டளையிட, அவர்களுடைய எல்லைகளிலெங்கும் வண்டுகளும் பேன்களும் வந்தது.

31. God commanded, and flies and gnats swarmed throughout the whole country.

32. அவர்களுடைய மழைகளைக் கல்மழையாக்கி, அவர்களுடைய தேசத்திலே ஜூவாலிக்கிற அக்கினியை வரப்பண்ணினார்.

32. He sent hail and lightning on their land instead of rain;

33. அவர்களுடைய திராட்சச் செடிகளையும் அத்திமரங்களையும் அழித்து, அவர்களுடைய எல்லைகளிலுள்ள மரங்களையும் முறித்தார்.

33. he destroyed their grapevines and fig trees and broke down all the trees.

34. அவர் கட்டளையிட, எண்ணிமுடியாத வெட்டுக்கிளிகளும் பச்சைப்புழுக்களும் வந்து,

34. He commanded, and the locusts came, countless millions of them;

35. அவர்களுடைய தேசத்திலுள்ள சகல பூண்டுகளையும் அரித்து, அவர்களுடைய நிலத்தின் கனியைத் தின்றுபோட்டது.

35. they ate all the plants in the land; they ate all the crops.

36. அவர்களுடைய தேசத்திலே தலைச்சன்கள் அனைத்தையும், அவர்களுடைய பெலனில் முதற்பெலனான யாவரையும் சங்கரித்தார்.

36. He killed the first-born sons of all the families of Egypt.

37. அப்பொழுது அவர்களை வெள்ளியோடும் பொன்னோடும் புறப்படப்பண்ணினார்; அவர்கள் கோத்திரங்களில் பலவீனப்பட்டவன் ஒருவனும் இருந்ததில்லை.

37. Then he led the Israelites out; they carried silver and gold, and all of them were healthy and strong.

38. எகிப்தியர் அவர்களுக்குப் பயந்ததினால், அவர்கள் புறப்பட்டபோது மகிழ்ந்தார்கள்.

38. The Egyptians were afraid of them and were glad when they left.

39. God put a cloud over his people and a fire at night to give them light.

40. They asked, and he sent quails; he gave them food from heaven to satisfy them.

41. He opened a rock, and water gushed out, flowing through the desert like a river.

42. அவர் தம்முடைய பரிசுத்த வாக்குத்தத்தத்தையும், தம்முடைய தாசனாகிய ஆபிரகாமையும் நினைத்து,

42. He remembered his sacred promise to Abraham his servant.

43. தம்முடைய ஜனத்தைக் களிப்போடும், தாம் தெரிந்துகொண்டவர்களைக் கெம்பீர சத்தத்தோடும் புறப்படப்பண்ணி,

43. So he led his chosen people out, and they sang and shouted for joy.

44. தமது கட்டளைகளைக் காத்து நடக்கும்படிக்கும், தமது நியாயப்பிரமாணங்களைக் கைக்கொள்ளும்படிக்கும்,

44. He gave them the lands of other peoples and let them take over their fields,

45. அவர்களுக்குப் புறஜாதிகளுடைய தேசங்களைக் கொடுத்தார்; அந்நிய ஜனங்களுடைய பிரயாசத்தின் பலனைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொண்டார்கள். அல்லேலூயா.

45. so that his people would obey his laws and keep all his commands. Praise the LORD!
