1. கர்த்தரைத் துதித்து, அவருடைய நாமத்தைப் பிரஸ்தாபமாக்குங்கள், அவருடைய செய்கைகளை ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளே பிரசித்தப்படுத்துங்கள்.

1. Give thanks to ADONAI! Call on his name! Make his deeds known among the peoples.

2. அவரைப் பாடி, அவரைக் கீர்த்தனம்பண்ணுங்கள்; அவருடைய அதிசயங்களையெல்லாம் தியானித்துப் பேசுங்கள்.

2. Sing to him, sing praises to him, talk about all his wonders.

3. அவருடைய பரிசுத்த நாமத்தைக் குறித்து மேன்மைபாராட்டுங்கள்; கர்த்தரைத் தேடுகிறவர்களின் இருதயம் மகிழ்வதாக.

3. Glory in his holy name; let those seeking ADONAI have joyful hearts.

4. கர்த்தரையும் அவர் வல்லமையையும் நாடுங்கள்; அவர் சமுகத்தை நித்தமும் தேடுங்கள்.

4. Seek ADONAI and his strength; always seek his presence.

5. அவருடைய தாசனாகிய ஆபிரகாமின் சந்ததியே! அவரால் தெரிந்து கொள்ளப்பட்டவர்களாகிய யாக்கோபின் புத்திரரே!

5. Remember the wonders he has done, his signs and his spoken rulings.

6. அவர் செய்த அதிசயங்களையும், அவருடைய அற்புதங்களையும், அவர் வாக்கின் நியாயத்தீர்ப்புகளையும் நினைவுகூருங்கள்.

6. You descendants of Avraham his servant, you offspring of Ya'akov, his chosen ones,

7. அவரே நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர், அவருடைய நியாயத்தீர்ப்புகள் பூமியெங்கும் விளங்கும்.

7. he is ADONAI our God! His rulings are everywhere on earth.

8. ஆயிரந்தலைமுறைக்கென்று அவர் கட்டளையிட்ட வாக்கையும், ஆபிரகாமோடே அவர் பண்ணின உடன்படிக்கையையும்,

8. He remembers his covenant forever, the word he commanded to a thousand generations,

9. அவர் ஈசாக்குக்கு இட்ட ஆணையையும் என்றென்றைக்கும் நினைத்திருக்கிறார்.

9. the covenant he made with Avraham, the oath he swore to Yitz'chak,

10. அதை யாக்கோபுக்குப் பிரமாணமாகவும், இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு நித்தியஉடன்படிக்கையாகவும் உறுதிப்படுத்தி:

10. and established as a law for Ya'akov, for Isra'el as an everlasting covenant:

11. உங்கள் சுதந்தரபாகமான கானான் தேசத்தை உனக்குத் தருவேன் என்றார்.

11. To you I will give the land of Kena'an as your allotted heritage.'

12. அக்காலத்தில் அவர்கள் கொஞ்சத் தொகைக்குட்பட்ட சொற்ப ஜனங்களும் பரதேசிகளுமாயிருந்தார்கள்.

12. When they were but few in number, and not only few, but aliens there too,

13. அவர்கள் ஒரு ஜனத்தைவிட்டு மறு ஜனத்தண்டைக்கும், ஒரு ராஜ்யத்தைவிட்டு மறு தேசத்தாரண்டைக்கும் போனார்கள்.

13. wandering from nation to nation, from this kingdom to that people,

14. அவர்களை ஒடுக்கும்படி ஒருவருக்கும் இடங்கொடாமல், அவர்கள் நிமித்தம் ராஜாக்களைக் கடிந்து கொண்டு:

14. he allowed no one to oppress them. Yes, for their sakes he rebuked even kings:

15. நான் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினவர்களை நீங்கள் தொடாமலும், என்னுடைய தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுக்குத் தீங்கு செய்யாமலும் இருங்கள் என்றார்.

15. Don't touch my anointed ones or do my prophets harm!'

16. அவர் தேசத்திலே பஞ்சத்தை வருவித்து, ஆகாரமென்னும் ஆதரவுகோலை முற்றிலும் முறித்தார்.

16. He called down famine on the land, broke off all their food supply,

17. அவர்களுக்கு முன்னாலே ஒரு புருஷனை அனுப்பினார்; யோசேப்பு சிறையாக விற்கப்பட்டான்.

17. but sent a man ahead of them- Yosef, who was sold as a slave.

18. அவன் கால்களை விலங்குபோட்டு ஒடுக்கினார்கள்; அவன் பிராணன் இரும்பில் அடைபட்டிருந்தது.

18. They shackled his feet with chains, and they bound him in irons;

19. கர்த்தர் சொன்ன வார்த்தை நிறைவேறுமளவும் அவருடைய வசனம் அவனைப் புடமிட்டது.

19. until the time when his word proved true, God's utterance kept testing him.

20. ராஜா ஆள் அனுப்பி, அவனைக் கட்டவிழ்க்கச் சொன்னான்; ஜனங்களின் அதிபதி அவனை விடுதலைபண்ணினான்.

20. The king sent and had him released, the ruler of peoples set him free;

21. தன் பிரபுக்களை அவன் மனதின்படி கட்டவும், தன் மூப்பர்களை ஞானிகளாக்கவும்,

21. he made him lord of his household, in charge of all he owned,

22. அவனைத் தன் வீட்டுக்கு ஆண்டவனும், தன் ஆஸ்திக்கெல்லாம் அதிபதியுமாக்கினான்.

22. correcting his officers as he saw fit and teaching his counselors wisdom.

23. அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல் எகிப்திற்கு வந்தான்; யாக்கோபு காமின் தேசத்திலே பரதேசியாயிருந்தான்.

23. Then Isra'el too came into Egypt, Ya'akov lived as an alien in the land of Ham.

24. அவர் தம்முடைய ஜனங்களை மிகவும் பலுகப்பண்ணி, அவர்களுடைய சத்துருக்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் அவர்களைப் பலவான்களாக்கினார்.

24. There God made his people very fruitful, made them too numerous for their foes,

25. தம்முடைய ஜனங்களைப் பகைக்கவும், தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரரை வஞ்சனையாய் நடத்தவும், அவர்களுடைய இருதயத்தை மாற்றினார்.

25. whose hearts he turned to hate his people, and treat his servants unfairly.

26. தம்முடைய தாசனாகிய மோசேயையும் தாம் தெரிந்துகொண்ட ஆரோனையும் அனுப்பினார்.

26. He sent his servant Moshe and Aharon, whom he had chosen.

27. இவர்கள் அவர்களுக்குள் அவருடைய அடையாளங்களையும், காமின் தேசத்திலே அற்புதங்களையும் செய்தார்கள்.

27. They worked his signs among them, his wonders in the land of Ham.

28. அவர் இருளை அனுப்பி, அந்தகாரத்தை உண்டாக்கினார்; அவருடைய வார்த்தைகளை எதிர்ப்பாரில்லை.

28. He sent darkness, and the land grew dark; they did not defy his word.

29. அவர்களுடைய தண்ணீர்களை இரத்தமாக மாற்றி, அவர்களுடைய மச்சங்களைச் சாகப்பண்ணினார்.

29. He turned their water into blood and caused their fish to die.

30. அவர்களுடைய தேசம் தவளைகளைத் திரளாய்ப் பிறப்பித்தது; அவர்களுடைய ராஜாக்களின் அறைவீடுகளிலும் அவைகள் வந்தது.

30. Their land swarmed with frogs, even in the royal chambers.

31. அவர் கட்டளையிட, அவர்களுடைய எல்லைகளிலெங்கும் வண்டுகளும் பேன்களும் வந்தது.

31. He spoke, and there came swarms of insects and lice throughout their land.

32. அவர்களுடைய மழைகளைக் கல்மழையாக்கி, அவர்களுடைய தேசத்திலே ஜூவாலிக்கிற அக்கினியை வரப்பண்ணினார்.

32. He gave them hail instead of rain, with fiery [[lightning]] throughout their land.

33. அவர்களுடைய திராட்சச் செடிகளையும் அத்திமரங்களையும் அழித்து, அவர்களுடைய எல்லைகளிலுள்ள மரங்களையும் முறித்தார்.

33. He struck their vines and fig trees, shattering trees all over their country.

34. அவர் கட்டளையிட, எண்ணிமுடியாத வெட்டுக்கிளிகளும் பச்சைப்புழுக்களும் வந்து,

34. He spoke, and locusts came, also grasshoppers without number;

35. அவர்களுடைய தேசத்திலுள்ள சகல பூண்டுகளையும் அரித்து, அவர்களுடைய நிலத்தின் கனியைத் தின்றுபோட்டது.

35. they ate up everything green in their land, devoured the fruit of their ground.

36. அவர்களுடைய தேசத்திலே தலைச்சன்கள் அனைத்தையும், அவர்களுடைய பெலனில் முதற்பெலனான யாவரையும் சங்கரித்தார்.

36. He struck down all the firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their strength.

37. அப்பொழுது அவர்களை வெள்ளியோடும் பொன்னோடும் புறப்படப்பண்ணினார்; அவர்கள் கோத்திரங்களில் பலவீனப்பட்டவன் ஒருவனும் இருந்ததில்லை.

37. Then he led his people out, laden with silver and gold; among his tribes not one stumbled.

38. எகிப்தியர் அவர்களுக்குப் பயந்ததினால், அவர்கள் புறப்பட்டபோது மகிழ்ந்தார்கள்.

38. Egypt was happy to have them leave, because fear of [[Isra'el]] had seized them.

39. He spread out a cloud to screen them off and fire to give them light at night.

40. கேட்டார்கள், அவர் காடைகளை வரப்பண்ணினார்; வான அப்பத்தினாலும் அவர்களைத் திருப்தியாக்கினார்.

40. When they asked, he brought them quails and satisfied them with food from heaven.

41. கன்மலையைத் திறந்தார், தண்ணீர்கள் புறப்பட்டு, வறண்ட வெளிகளில் ஆறாய் ஓடிற்று.

41. He split a rock, and water gushed out, flowing as a river over the dry ground,

42. அவர் தம்முடைய பரிசுத்த வாக்குத்தத்தத்தையும், தம்முடைய தாசனாகிய ஆபிரகாமையும் நினைத்து,

42. for he remembered his holy promise to his servant Avraham.

43. தம்முடைய ஜனத்தைக் களிப்போடும், தாம் தெரிந்துகொண்டவர்களைக் கெம்பீர சத்தத்தோடும் புறப்படப்பண்ணி,

43. He led out his people with joy, his chosen ones with singing.

44. தமது கட்டளைகளைக் காத்து நடக்கும்படிக்கும், தமது நியாயப்பிரமாணங்களைக் கைக்கொள்ளும்படிக்கும்,

44. Then he gave them the lands of the nations, and they possessed what peoples had toiled to produce,

45. அவர்களுக்குப் புறஜாதிகளுடைய தேசங்களைக் கொடுத்தார்; அந்நிய ஜனங்களுடைய பிரயாசத்தின் பலனைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொண்டார்கள். அல்லேலூயா.

45. in order to obey his laws and follow his teachings. [Halleluyah]!
