1. கர்த்தரைத் துதித்து, அவருடைய நாமத்தைப் பிரஸ்தாபமாக்குங்கள், அவருடைய செய்கைகளை ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளே பிரசித்தப்படுத்துங்கள்.

1. O give thanks to the Lord. Call on His name. Make His works known among the people.

2. அவரைப் பாடி, அவரைக் கீர்த்தனம்பண்ணுங்கள்; அவருடைய அதிசயங்களையெல்லாம் தியானித்துப் பேசுங்கள்.

2. Sing to Him. Sing praises to Him. Tell of all His great works.

3. அவருடைய பரிசுத்த நாமத்தைக் குறித்து மேன்மைபாராட்டுங்கள்; கர்த்தரைத் தேடுகிறவர்களின் இருதயம் மகிழ்வதாக.

3. Honor His holy name. Let the heart of those who look to the Lord be glad.

4. கர்த்தரையும் அவர் வல்லமையையும் நாடுங்கள்; அவர் சமுகத்தை நித்தமும் தேடுங்கள்.

4. Look for the Lord and His strength. Look for His face all the time.

5. அவருடைய தாசனாகிய ஆபிரகாமின் சந்ததியே! அவரால் தெரிந்து கொள்ளப்பட்டவர்களாகிய யாக்கோபின் புத்திரரே!

5. Remember the great and powerful works that He has done. Keep in mind what He has decided and told us,

6. அவர் செய்த அதிசயங்களையும், அவருடைய அற்புதங்களையும், அவர் வாக்கின் நியாயத்தீர்ப்புகளையும் நினைவுகூருங்கள்.

6. O children of His servant Abraham, O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones!

7. அவரே நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர், அவருடைய நியாயத்தீர்ப்புகள் பூமியெங்கும் விளங்கும்.

7. He is the Lord our God. What He has decided is in all the earth.

8. ஆயிரந்தலைமுறைக்கென்று அவர் கட்டளையிட்ட வாக்கையும், ஆபிரகாமோடே அவர் பண்ணின உடன்படிக்கையையும்,

8. He has remembered His agreement forever, the promise He made to last through a thousand families-to-come,

9. அவர் ஈசாக்குக்கு இட்ட ஆணையையும் என்றென்றைக்கும் நினைத்திருக்கிறார்.

9. the agreement that He made with Abraham, and His promise to Isaac.

10. அதை யாக்கோபுக்குப் பிரமாணமாகவும், இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு நித்தியஉடன்படிக்கையாகவும் உறுதிப்படுத்தி:

10. He gave it to Jacob as a Law, to Israel as an agreement that will last forever.

11. உங்கள் சுதந்தரபாகமான கானான் தேசத்தை உனக்குத் தருவேன் என்றார்.

11. He said, 'I will give the land of Canaan to you as your share,'

12. அக்காலத்தில் அவர்கள் கொஞ்சத் தொகைக்குட்பட்ட சொற்ப ஜனங்களும் பரதேசிகளுமாயிருந்தார்கள்.

12. when they were only a few men in number and were strangers in it.

13. அவர்கள் ஒரு ஜனத்தைவிட்டு மறு ஜனத்தண்டைக்கும், ஒரு ராஜ்யத்தைவிட்டு மறு தேசத்தாரண்டைக்கும் போனார்கள்.

13. They went from nation to nation, from the people under one king to the people under another.

14. அவர்களை ஒடுக்கும்படி ஒருவருக்கும் இடங்கொடாமல், அவர்கள் நிமித்தம் ராஜாக்களைக் கடிந்து கொண்டு:

14. He did not allow anyone to hold power over them. And He spoke sharp words to kings because of them.

15. He said, 'Do not touch My chosen ones. And do not hurt those who speak for Me.'

16. அவர் தேசத்திலே பஞ்சத்தை வருவித்து, ஆகாரமென்னும் ஆதரவுகோலை முற்றிலும் முறித்தார்.

16. Then He called for a time of no food on the land. He cut off all their bread.

17. அவர்களுக்கு முன்னாலே ஒரு புருஷனை அனுப்பினார்; யோசேப்பு சிறையாக விற்கப்பட்டான்.

17. He sent a man, Joseph, before them who was sold as a servant.

18. அவன் கால்களை விலங்குபோட்டு ஒடுக்கினார்கள்; அவன் பிராணன் இரும்பில் அடைபட்டிருந்தது.

18. They hurt his feet with chains. He was put in irons,

19. கர்த்தர் சொன்ன வார்த்தை நிறைவேறுமளவும் அவருடைய வசனம் அவனைப் புடமிட்டது.

19. until what he had said would happen came to pass. The Word of the Lord tested him.

20. ராஜா ஆள் அனுப்பி, அவனைக் கட்டவிழ்க்கச் சொன்னான்; ஜனங்களின் அதிபதி அவனை விடுதலைபண்ணினான்.

20. The king sent and had him taken out of prison. The ruler of many people set him free.

21. He made him the lord of his house and ruler over all he had.

22. He could punish the rulers as he pleased. And he taught wisdom to the wise.

23. அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல் எகிப்திற்கு வந்தான்; யாக்கோபு காமின் தேசத்திலே பரதேசியாயிருந்தான்.

23. Then Israel also came into Egypt. So Jacob stayed in the land of Ham.

24. அவர் தம்முடைய ஜனங்களை மிகவும் பலுகப்பண்ணி, அவர்களுடைய சத்துருக்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் அவர்களைப் பலவான்களாக்கினார்.

24. And He made the number of His people grow until they were stronger than those who held power over them.

25. தம்முடைய ஜனங்களைப் பகைக்கவும், தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரரை வஞ்சனையாய் நடத்தவும், அவர்களுடைய இருதயத்தை மாற்றினார்.

25. He turned their hearts to hate His people and to make plans against His servants.

26. தம்முடைய தாசனாகிய மோசேயையும் தாம் தெரிந்துகொண்ட ஆரோனையும் அனுப்பினார்.

26. He sent Moses, His servant, and Aaron whom He had chosen.

27. இவர்கள் அவர்களுக்குள் அவருடைய அடையாளங்களையும், காமின் தேசத்திலே அற்புதங்களையும் செய்தார்கள்.

27. They did His great works for them to see, powerful works in the land of Ham.

28. அவர் இருளை அனுப்பி, அந்தகாரத்தை உண்டாக்கினார்; அவருடைய வார்த்தைகளை எதிர்ப்பாரில்லை.

28. He sent darkness and made the land dark. They did not fight against what He told them to do.

29. அவர்களுடைய தண்ணீர்களை இரத்தமாக மாற்றி, அவர்களுடைய மச்சங்களைச் சாகப்பண்ணினார்.

29. He changed their water into blood, so their fish died.

30. அவர்களுடைய தேசம் தவளைகளைத் திரளாய்ப் பிறப்பித்தது; அவர்களுடைய ராஜாக்களின் அறைவீடுகளிலும் அவைகள் வந்தது.

30. Their land became covered with frogs, even in the rooms of their kings.

31. அவர் கட்டளையிட, அவர்களுடைய எல்லைகளிலெங்கும் வண்டுகளும் பேன்களும் வந்தது.

31. He spoke and there came many flies all over their land.

32. அவர்களுடைய மழைகளைக் கல்மழையாக்கி, அவர்களுடைய தேசத்திலே ஜூவாலிக்கிற அக்கினியை வரப்பண்ணினார்.

32. He gave them hail instead of rain, and lightning like fire in their land.

33. அவர்களுடைய திராட்சச் செடிகளையும் அத்திமரங்களையும் அழித்து, அவர்களுடைய எல்லைகளிலுள்ள மரங்களையும் முறித்தார்.

33. He destroyed their vines and fig trees and the trees of their country.

34. அவர் கட்டளையிட, எண்ணிமுடியாத வெட்டுக்கிளிகளும் பச்சைப்புழுக்களும் வந்து,

34. He spoke and the locusts came. There were too many to number.

35. அவர்களுடைய தேசத்திலுள்ள சகல பூண்டுகளையும் அரித்து, அவர்களுடைய நிலத்தின் கனியைத் தின்றுபோட்டது.

35. They ate up all the plants in their country. They ate all the fruit of their land.

36. அவர்களுடைய தேசத்திலே தலைச்சன்கள் அனைத்தையும், அவர்களுடைய பெலனில் முதற்பெலனான யாவரையும் சங்கரித்தார்.

36. He killed all the first-born in their land, the first fruits of all their strength.

37. அப்பொழுது அவர்களை வெள்ளியோடும் பொன்னோடும் புறப்படப்பண்ணினார்; அவர்கள் கோத்திரங்களில் பலவீனப்பட்டவன் ஒருவனும் இருந்ததில்லை.

37. Then He brought Israel out with silver and gold. And there was not one weak person among their families.

38. எகிப்தியர் அவர்களுக்குப் பயந்ததினால், அவர்கள் புறப்பட்டபோது மகிழ்ந்தார்கள்.

38. Egypt was glad when they left. For they had become afraid of Israel.

39. அவர் மேகத்தை மறைவுக்காக விரித்து, இரவை வெளிச்சமாக்குகிறதற்காக அக்கினியையும் தந்தார்.

39. He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light at night.

40. கேட்டார்கள், அவர் காடைகளை வரப்பண்ணினார்; வான அப்பத்தினாலும் அவர்களைத் திருப்தியாக்கினார்.

40. They asked, and He brought them quails for meat. And He filled them with the bread of heaven.

41. கன்மலையைத் திறந்தார், தண்ணீர்கள் புறப்பட்டு, வறண்ட வெளிகளில் ஆறாய் ஓடிற்று.

41. He opened the rock and water flowed out. It flowed in the desert like a river.

42. அவர் தம்முடைய பரிசுத்த வாக்குத்தத்தத்தையும், தம்முடைய தாசனாகிய ஆபிரகாமையும் நினைத்து,

42. For He remembered His holy Word with Abraham His servant.

43. தம்முடைய ஜனத்தைக் களிப்போடும், தாம் தெரிந்துகொண்டவர்களைக் கெம்பீர சத்தத்தோடும் புறப்படப்பண்ணி,

43. And He brought His people out with joy, His chosen ones with singing.

44. தமது கட்டளைகளைக் காத்து நடக்கும்படிக்கும், தமது நியாயப்பிரமாணங்களைக் கைக்கொள்ளும்படிக்கும்,

44. He gave them the lands of the nations. They were given what others had worked for,

45. அவர்களுக்குப் புறஜாதிகளுடைய தேசங்களைக் கொடுத்தார்; அந்நிய ஜனங்களுடைய பிரயாசத்தின் பலனைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொண்டார்கள். அல்லேலூயா.

45. so that they might do what He told them and keep His Law. Praise the Lord!
