1. இதினால் என் இருதயம் தத்தளித்து, தன்னிடத்தைவிட்டுத் தெறிக்கிறது.

1. At this my hert is astonnied, and moued out of his place.

2. அவருடைய சத்தத்தினால் உண்டாகிற அதிர்ச்சியையும், அவர் வாயிலிருந்து புறப்படுகிற முழக்கத்தையும் கவனமாய்க் கேளுங்கள்.

2. Heare then the sounde of his voyce, and the noyse yt goeth out of his mouth.

3. அவர் வானத்தின் கீழெங்கும் அந்தத் தொனியையும், பூமியின் கடையாந்தரங்கள்மேல் அதின் மின்னலையும் செல்லவிடுகிறார்.

3. He gouerneth euery thinge vnder the heauen, and his light reacheth vnto the ende of the worlde.

4. அதற்குப்பின்பு அவர் சத்தமாய் முழங்கி, தம்முடைய மகத்துவத்தின் சத்தத்தைக் குமுறப்பண்ணுகிறார்; அவருடைய சத்தம் கேட்கப்படும்போது அதைத் தவிர்க்கமுடியாது.

4. A roaringe voyce foloweth him: for his glorious magesty geueth soch a thondre clappe, that (though a man heare it) yet maye he not perceaue it afterwarde. It geueth an horrible sownde,

5. தேவன் தம்முடைய சத்தத்தை ஆச்சரியமானவிதமாய்க் குமுறப்பண்ணுகிறார்; நாம் கிரகிக்கக்கூடாத பெரிய காரியங்களை அவர் செய்கிறார்.

5. when God sendeth out his voyce: greate thinges doth he, which we can not coprehende.

6. அவர் உறைந்த மழையையும், கல்மழையையும், தம்முடைய வல்லமையின் பெருமழையையும் பார்த்து: பூமியின்மேல் பெய்யுங்கள் என்று கட்டளையிடுகிறார்.

6. When he commaundeth the snowe, it falleth vpon the earth: As soone as he geueth the rayne a charge, Immediatly the showers haue their strength and fall downe

7. தாம் உண்டாக்கின சகல மனுஷரும் தம்மை அறியும்படிக்கு, அவர் சகல மனுஷருடைய கையையும் முத்திரித்துப்போடுகிறார்.

7. He sendeth feare vpon euery man, that they might knowe their owne workes.

8. அப்பொழுது காட்டுமிருகங்கள் தங்கள் குகைகளில் புகுந்து, தங்கள் கெபிகளில் தங்கும்.

8. The beestes crepe in to their dennes, & take their rest.

9. தெற்கேயிருந்து சூறாவளியும், வடகாற்றினால் குளிரும் வரும்.

9. Out of the south commeth the tempest, and colde out of the north.

10. தம்முடைய சுவாசத்தினால் தேவன் குளிரைக் கொடுக்கிறார்; அப்பொழுது ஜலத்தின் மேற்பரப்பானது உறைந்துபோகும்.

10. At the breth of God, the frost commeth, & the waters are shed abrode.

11. அவர் நீர்த்துளிகளை மேகத்தில் ஏற்றி, மின்னலினால் மேகத்தைச் சிதறப்பண்ணுகிறார்.

11. The cloudes do their laboure in geuynge moystnesse, the cloudes poure downe their rayne.

12. அவர் அவைகளுக்குக் கட்டளையிடுகிற யாவையும், அவைகள் பூச்சக்கரத்தில் நடப்பிக்கும்படி, அவர் அவைகளைத் தம்முடைய ஞான ஆலோசனைகளின்படியே சுற்றித் திரியப்பண்ணுகிறார்.

12. He distributeth also on euery syde, acordinge as it pleaseth him to deale out his workes, that they maye do, what so euer he commaundeth the thorow the whole worlde:

13. ஒன்றில் தண்டனையாகவும், ஒன்றில் தம்முடைய பூமிக்கு உபயோகமாகவும், ஒன்றில் கிருபையாகவும், அவைகளை வரப்பண்ணுகிறார்.

13. whether it be to punysh eny londe, or to do good vnto them, that seke him.

14. யோபே, இதற்குச் செவிகொடும்; தரித்துநின்று தேவனுடைய ஆச்சரியமான கிரியைகளைத் தியானித்துப்பாரும்.

14. Herken vnto this (o Iob) stonde still, and considre the wonderous workes of God.

15. தேவன் அவைகளைத் திட்டம்பண்ணி, தம்முடைய மேகத்தின் மின்னலைப் பிரகாசிக்கப்பண்ணும் விதத்தை அறிவீரோ?

15. Art thou of coucel with God, when he doth these thinges? When he causeth the light to come forth of his cloudes?

16. மேகங்கள் தொங்கும்படி வைக்கும் நிறையையும், பூரண ஞானமுள்ளவரின் அற்புதமான செய்கைகளையும்,

16. Art thou of his coucell, when he spredeth out the cloudes? Hast thou the perfecte knowlege of his wonders?

17. தென்றலினால் அவர் பூமியை அமையப்பண்ணும்போது, உம்முடைய வஸ்திரங்கள் உஷ்ணமாயிருக்கும் வகையையும் அறிவீரோ?

17. and how thy clothes are warme, whe the lode is still thorow the south wynde?

18. வார்க்கப்பட்ட கண்ணாடியைப்போல் கெட்டியான ஆகாயமண்டலங்களை நீர் அவரோடேகூட இருந்து விரித்தீரோ?

18. hast thou helped him to spred out the heauen, which is to loke vpo, as it were cast of cleare metall?

19. அவருக்கு நாம் சொல்லத்தக்கதை எங்களுக்குப் போதியும்; அந்தகாரத்தினிமித்தம் முறைதப்பிப் பேசுகிறோம்.

19. Teach vs what we shal saye vnto hi, for we are vnmete because of darcknes.

20. நான் பேசத்துணிந்தேன் என்று யாதாமொருவன் அவருக்கு முன்பாகச் சொல்லத்தகுமோ? ஒருவன் பேசத்துணிந்தால் அவன் விழுங்கப்பட்டுப்போவானே.

20. Shal it be tolde him, what I saye? Shulde a man speake, or shulde he kepe it backe?

21. இப்போதும் காற்று வீசி ஆகாய மண்டலங்களிலுள்ள மப்பு நீங்கப்பண்ணியிருக்கிறசமயத்தில் வடக்கேயிருந்து பொன்மயமான காந்தி வருகிறபோது,

21. For euery ma seith not the light, yt he kepeth cleare in the cloudes, which he clenseth whan he maketh the wynde to blowe.

22. ஆகாயமண்டலத்திலே பிரகாசிக்கிற சூரியனை முதலாய் ஒருவரும் நோக்கிப் பார்க்கக்கூடாதே; தேவனிடத்திலோ பயங்கரமான மகத்துவமுண்டு.

22. Golde is brought out of the north, but the prayse and honoure off Gods feare commeth fro God himself.

23. சர்வவல்லவரை நாம் கண்டுபிடிக்கக்கூடாது; அவர் வல்லமையிலும் நியாயத்திலும் பெருத்தவர்; அவர் மகா நீதிபரர்; அவர் ஒடுக்கமாட்டார்.

23. It is not we that can fynde out the allmightie: for in power, equite and rigtuousnesse he is hyer then can be expressed.

24. ஆகையால் மனுஷர் அவருக்குப் பயப்படவேண்டும்; தங்கள் எண்ணத்தில் ஞானிகளாயிருக்கிற எவர்களையும் அவர் மதிக்கமாட்டார் என்றான்.

24. Seinge then that euery body feareth him, why shulde not all wyse men also stode in feare of hi?
