1. ஏழாம் வருஷத்தின் முடிவிலே விடுதலைபண்ணுவாயாக.

1. Every seven years you shall make a release.

2. விடுதலையின் விபரமாவது: பிறனுக்குக் கடன் கொடுத்தவன் எவனும், கர்த்தர் நியமித்த விடுதலை கூறப்பட்டபடியால், அந்தக் கடனைப் பிறன் கையிலாகிலும் தன் சகோதரன் கையிலாகிலும் தண்டாமல் விட்டுவிடக்கடவன்.

2. And this [is] the ordinance of the release: you shall release every private debt which your neighbor owes you, and you shall not ask payment of it from your brother; for it has been called a release to the Lord your God.

3. அந்நிய ஜாதியான் கையிலே நீ கடனைத் தண்டலாம்; உன் சகோதரனிடத்திலோ உனக்கு வரவேண்டியதை உன் கை விட்டுவிடக்கடவது.

3. Of a stranger you shall ask again whatsoever he has of yours, but to your brother you shall release his debt to you.

4. எளியவன் உனக்குள் இல்லாதிருக்கும்படியாக இப்படிச் செய்யவேண்டும்; இன்று நான் உனக்குக் கற்பிக்கிற எல்லாக் கற்பனைகளின்படியும் நீ செய்யும்படி, உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் சத்தத்தைக் கவனமாய்க் கேட்பாயானால்.,

4. For [thus] there shall not be a poor person in the midst of you, for the Lord your God will surely bless you in the land which the Lord your God gives you by inheritance, that you should inherit it.

5. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குச் சுதந்தரிக்கும்படி கொடுக்கும் தேசத்தில், உன்னை மேன்மேலும் ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.

5. And if you shall indeed hearken to the voice of the Lord your God, to keep and do all these commandments, as many as I charge you this day,

6. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குச் சொன்னபடி உன்னை ஆசீர்வதிப்பதினால், நீ அநேகம் ஜாதிகளுக்குக் கடன் கொடுப்பாய், நீயோ கடன் வாங்குவதில்லை; நீ அநேகம் ஜாதிகளை ஆளுவாய், உன்னையோ அவர்கள் ஆளுவதில்லை.

6. (for the Lord your God has blessed you in the way of which He spoke to you,) then you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; and you shall rule over many nations, but they shall not rule over you.

7. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குக் கொடுக்கும் தேசத்தின் எந்த வாசலிலும் உன் சகோதரரில் எளியவனான ஒருவன் இருந்தால், எளியவனாகிய உன் சகோதரனுக்கு உன் இருதயத்தை நீ கடினமாக்காமலும், உன் கையை மூடாமலும்,

7. And if there shall be in the midst of you a poor [man] from among your brothers, in one of your cities in the land, which the Lord your God gives you, you shall not harden your heart, neither shall you by any means close up your hand from your brother who is in need.

8. அவனுக்கு உன் கையைத் தாராளமாய்த் திறந்து, அவனுடைய அவசரத்தினிமித்தம் அவனுக்குத் தேவையானதைக் கடன்கொடுப்பாயாக.

8. You shall surely open your hands to him, and shall lend to him as much as he wants according to his need.

9. விடுதலை வருஷமாகிய ஏழாம் வருஷம் கிட்டியிருக்கிறதென்று சொல்லி, உன் இருதயத்திலே பொல்லாத நினைவுகொண்டு, உன் ஏழைச் சகோதரனுக்குக் கொடாமல் மறுத்து, அவன்மேல் வன்கண் வைக்காதபடிக்கும், அவன் உன்னைக் குறித்துக் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி அபயமிடாதபடிக்கும் எச்சரிக்கையாயிரு; அப்படிச் செய்வாயானால் அது உனக்குப் பாவமாயிருக்கும்.

9. Take heed to yourself that there be not a secret thing in your heart- an iniquity, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is approaching. And your eye shall be evil to your brother that is in need, and you shall not give to him, and he shall cry against you to the Lord, and there shall be great sin in you.

10. அவனுக்குத் தாராளமாய்க் கொடுப்பாயாக; அவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கும்போது உன் இருதயம் விசனப்படாதிருப்பதாக; அதினிமித்தமாக உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னுடைய எல்லாக் கிரியைகளிலும், நீ கையிட்டுச் செய்யும் எல்லாக் காரியங்களிலும் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.

10. You shall surely give to him, and you shall lend to him as much as he wants, according as he is in need. And you shall not grudge in your heart as you give to him, because on this account the Lord your God will bless you in all your works, and in all things on which you shall lay your hand.

11. தேசத்திலே எளியவர்கள் இல்லாதிருப்பதில்லை; ஆகையால் உன் தேசத்திலே சிறுமைப்பட்டவனும் எளியவனுமாகிய உன் சகோதரனுக்கு உன் கையைத் தாராளமாய்த் திறக்கவேண்டும் என்று நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிடுகிறேன்.

11. For the poor shall not fail off your land, therefore I charge you to do this thing, saying, You shall surely open your hands to your poor brother, and to him that is distressed upon your land.

12. உன் சதோதரனாகிய எபிரெய புருஷனாகிலும் எபிரெய ஸ்திரீயாகிலும் உனக்கு விலைப்பட்டால், ஆறு வருஷம் உன்னிடத்தில் சேவிக்கவேண்டும்; ஏழாம் வருஷத்தில் அவனை விடுதலைபண்ணி அனுப்பிவிடுவாயாக.

12. And if your brother [or sister], a Hebrew man or a Hebrew woman, are sold to you, he shall serve you six years, and in the seventh year you shall send him out free from you.

13. அவனை விடுதலைபண்ணி அனுப்பிவிடும்போது அவனை வெறுமையாய் அனுப்பிவிடாமல்,

13. And when you shall send him out free from you, you shall not send him out empty.

14. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதித்ததின்படி, உன் ஆட்டுமந்தையிலும், உன் களத்திலும், உன் ஆலையிலும் எடுத்து அவனுக்குத் தாராளமாய்க் கொடுத்து அனுப்பிவிடுவாயாக.

14. You shall give him provision for the way from your flock, and from your grain, and from your wine; as the Lord your God has blessed you, [so] you shall give to him.

15. நீ எகிப்துதேசத்தில் அடிமையாயிருந்ததையும், உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னை மீட்டுக்கொண்டதையும் நினைவு கூரக்கடவாய்; ஆகையால் நான் இன்று இந்தக் காரியத்தை உனக்குக் கட்டளையிடுகிறேன்.

15. And you shall remember that you [also] were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God redeemed you from there; therefore I charge you to do this thing.

16. ஆனாலும், அவன் உன்னிடத்தில் நன்மைபெற்று, உன்னையும் உன் குடும்பத்தையும் நேசிப்பதினால்: நான் உன்னைவிட்டுப் போகமாட்டேன் என்று உன்னுடனே சொல்வானேயாகில்,

16. And if he should say to you, I will not go out from you, because he continues to love you and your house, because he is well with you;

17. நீ ஒரு கம்பியை எடுத்து, அவன் காதைக் கதவோடே சேர்த்துக் குத்துவாயாக; பின்பு அவன் என்றைக்கும் உனக்கு அடிமையாயிருக்கக்கடவன்; உன் அடிமைப்பெண்ணுக்கும் அப்படியே செய்யக்கடவாய்.

17. then you shall take an awl, and bore his ear through to the door, and he shall be your servant forever; and in like manner shall you do to your male servant.

18. அவனை விடுதலையாக்கி அனுப்பிவிடுவது உனக்கு விசனமாய்க் காணப்படவேண்டாம்; இரட்டிப்பான கூலிக்கு ஈடாக ஆறு வருஷம் உன்னிடத்தில் சேவித்தானே; இப்படி உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நீ செய்யும் எல்லாவற்றிலும் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.

18. It shall not seem hard to you when they are sent out free from you, because [your servant] has served you six years according to the annual hire of a hireling; so the Lord your God shall bless you in all things whatsoever you may do.

19. உன் ஆடுமாடுகளில் தலையீற்றாகிய ஆணையெல்லாம் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பரிசுத்தமாக்கக்கடவாய்; உன் மாட்டின் தலையீற்றை வேலை கொள்ளாமலும், உன் ஆட்டின் தலையீற்றை மயிர் கத்தரியாமலும் இருப்பாயாக.

19. Every firstborn that shall be born among your cows and your sheep, you shall sanctify the males to the Lord your God; you shall not work with your firstborn calf, and you shall not shear the firstborn of your sheep.

20. கர்த்தர் தெரிந்துகொள்ளும் ஸ்தலத்திலே வருஷந்தோறும் நீயும் உன் வீட்டாருமாய் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அப்படிப்பட்டவைகளைப் புசிக்கக்கடவீர்கள்.

20. You shall eat it before the Lord year by year in the place which the Lord your God shall choose, you and your house.

21. அதற்கு முடம் குருடு முதலான யாதொரு பழுது இருந்தால், அதை உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பலியிட வேண்டாம்.

21. And if there be in it a blemish, if it is lame or blind, (an evil blemish) you shall not sacrifice it to the Lord your God.

22. அப்படிப்பட்டதை நீ உன் வாசல்களிலே, கலைமானையும், வெளிமானையும், புசிப்பதுபோலப் புசிக்கலாம்; தீட்டுப்பட்டவனும் தீட்டுப்படாதவனும் அதைப்புசிக்கலாம்.

22. You shall eat it in your cities; the unclean in you and the clean shall eat it in like manner, as the doe or the deer.

23. அதின் இரத்தத்தைமாத்திரம் சாப்பிடாமல், அதைத் தண்ணீரைப்போலத் தரையிலே ஊற்றிவிடக்கடவாய்.

23. Only you shall not eat the blood; you shall pour it out on the earth as water.
