1. ஏழாம் வருஷத்தின் முடிவிலே விடுதலைபண்ணுவாயாக.

1. At the end of seven year thou shalt make a free year.

2. விடுதலையின் விபரமாவது: பிறனுக்குக் கடன் கொடுத்தவன் எவனும், கர்த்தர் நியமித்த விடுதலை கூறப்பட்டபடியால், அந்தக் கடனைப் பிறன் கையிலாகிலும் தன் சகோதரன் கையிலாகிலும் தண்டாமல் விட்டுவிடக்கடவன்.

2. And this is the manner of the free year, whosoever lendeth ought with his hand unto his neighbour, may not ask again that which he hath lent, of his neighbour or of his brother: because it is called the LORD's(lordes) free year,

3. அந்நிய ஜாதியான் கையிலே நீ கடனைத் தண்டலாம்; உன் சகோதரனிடத்திலோ உனக்கு வரவேண்டியதை உன் கை விட்டுவிடக்கடவது.

3. yet of a stranger thou mayst call it home again. But that which thou hast with thy brother thine hand shall remit,

4. எளியவன் உனக்குள் இல்லாதிருக்கும்படியாக இப்படிச் செய்யவேண்டும்; இன்று நான் உனக்குக் கற்பிக்கிற எல்லாக் கற்பனைகளின்படியும் நீ செய்யும்படி, உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் சத்தத்தைக் கவனமாய்க் கேட்பாயானால்.,

4. and that in any wise, that there be no beggar among you. For the LORD shall bless the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, an heritance to possess it:

5. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குச் சுதந்தரிக்கும்படி கொடுக்கும் தேசத்தில், உன்னை மேன்மேலும் ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.

5. so that thou hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and do all these commandments which I command you this day:

6. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குச் சொன்னபடி உன்னை ஆசீர்வதிப்பதினால், நீ அநேகம் ஜாதிகளுக்குக் கடன் கொடுப்பாய், நீயோ கடன் வாங்குவதில்லை; நீ அநேகம் ஜாதிகளை ஆளுவாய், உன்னையோ அவர்கள் ஆளுவதில்லை.

6. yea and then the LORD thy God shall bless thee as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and shalt borrow of no man, and shalt reign over many nations, but none shall reign over thee.

7. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குக் கொடுக்கும் தேசத்தின் எந்த வாசலிலும் உன் சகோதரரில் எளியவனான ஒருவன் இருந்தால், எளியவனாகிய உன் சகோதரனுக்கு உன் இருதயத்தை நீ கடினமாக்காமலும், உன் கையை மூடாமலும்,

7. When one of thy brethren among you is waxed poor in any of thy cities within thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, see that thou harden not thine heart nor shut to thine hand from thy poor brother:

8. அவனுக்கு உன் கையைத் தாராளமாய்த் திறந்து, அவனுடைய அவசரத்தினிமித்தம் அவனுக்குத் தேவையானதைக் கடன்கொடுப்பாயாக.

8. But open thine hand unto him and lend him sufficient for his need which he hath.

9. விடுதலை வருஷமாகிய ஏழாம் வருஷம் கிட்டியிருக்கிறதென்று சொல்லி, உன் இருதயத்திலே பொல்லாத நினைவுகொண்டு, உன் ஏழைச் சகோதரனுக்குக் கொடாமல் மறுத்து, அவன்மேல் வன்கண் வைக்காதபடிக்கும், அவன் உன்னைக் குறித்துக் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி அபயமிடாதபடிக்கும் எச்சரிக்கையாயிரு; அப்படிச் செய்வாயானால் அது உனக்குப் பாவமாயிருக்கும்.

9. And beware that there be not a point of Belial in thine heart, that thou wouldest say: The seventh year, the year of freedom is at hand, and therefore it grieve thee to look on thy poor brother and givest him nought and he then cry unto the LORD against thee and it be sin unto thee:

10. அவனுக்குத் தாராளமாய்க் கொடுப்பாயாக; அவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கும்போது உன் இருதயம் விசனப்படாதிருப்பதாக; அதினிமித்தமாக உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னுடைய எல்லாக் கிரியைகளிலும், நீ கையிட்டுச் செய்யும் எல்லாக் காரியங்களிலும் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.

10. But give him, and let it not grieve thine heart to give. Because that for that thing, the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thy works and in all that thou puttest thine hand to.

11. தேசத்திலே எளியவர்கள் இல்லாதிருப்பதில்லை; ஆகையால் உன் தேசத்திலே சிறுமைப்பட்டவனும் எளியவனுமாகிய உன் சகோதரனுக்கு உன் கையைத் தாராளமாய்த் திறக்கவேண்டும் என்று நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிடுகிறேன்.

11. For the land shall never be without poor. Wherefore I command thee saying: open thine hand unto thy brother that is needy and poor in thy land.

12. உன் சதோதரனாகிய எபிரெய புருஷனாகிலும் எபிரெய ஸ்திரீயாகிலும் உனக்கு விலைப்பட்டால், ஆறு வருஷம் உன்னிடத்தில் சேவிக்கவேண்டும்; ஏழாம் வருஷத்தில் அவனை விடுதலைபண்ணி அனுப்பிவிடுவாயாக.

12. If thy brother an Hebrew sell himself to thee, or an Hebrewess, he shall serve thee six year and the seventh year thou shalt let him go free from thee.

13. அவனை விடுதலைபண்ணி அனுப்பிவிடும்போது அவனை வெறுமையாய் அனுப்பிவிடாமல்,

13. And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him go away empty:

14. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதித்ததின்படி, உன் ஆட்டுமந்தையிலும், உன் களத்திலும், உன் ஆலையிலும் எடுத்து அவனுக்குத் தாராளமாய்க் கொடுத்து அனுப்பிவிடுவாயாக.

14. but shalt give him of thy sheep and of thy corn and of thy wine, and give him of that wherewith the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.

15. நீ எகிப்துதேசத்தில் அடிமையாயிருந்ததையும், உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னை மீட்டுக்கொண்டதையும் நினைவு கூரக்கடவாய்; ஆகையால் நான் இன்று இந்தக் காரியத்தை உனக்குக் கட்டளையிடுகிறேன்.

15. And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and the LORD thy God delivered thee thence: wherefore I command thee this thing today.

16. ஆனாலும், அவன் உன்னிடத்தில் நன்மைபெற்று, உன்னையும் உன் குடும்பத்தையும் நேசிப்பதினால்: நான் உன்னைவிட்டுப் போகமாட்டேன் என்று உன்னுடனே சொல்வானேயாகில்,

16. But and if he say unto thee, I will not go away from thee, because he loveth thee and thine house and is well at ease with thee.

17. நீ ஒரு கம்பியை எடுத்து, அவன் காதைக் கதவோடே சேர்த்துக் குத்துவாயாக; பின்பு அவன் என்றைக்கும் உனக்கு அடிமையாயிருக்கக்கடவன்; உன் அடிமைப்பெண்ணுக்கும் அப்படியே செய்யக்கடவாய்.

17. Then take an awl and nail his ear to the door therewith and let him be thy servant forever, and unto thy maidservant thou shalt do likewise.

18. அவனை விடுதலையாக்கி அனுப்பிவிடுவது உனக்கு விசனமாய்க் காணப்படவேண்டாம்; இரட்டிப்பான கூலிக்கு ஈடாக ஆறு வருஷம் உன்னிடத்தில் சேவித்தானே; இப்படி உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நீ செய்யும் எல்லாவற்றிலும் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.

18. And let it not grieve thine eyes to let him go out from thee, for he hath been worth a double hired servant to thee in his service six years. And the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all that thou doest.

19. உன் ஆடுமாடுகளில் தலையீற்றாகிய ஆணையெல்லாம் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பரிசுத்தமாக்கக்கடவாய்; உன் மாட்டின் தலையீற்றை வேலை கொள்ளாமலும், உன் ஆட்டின் தலையீற்றை மயிர் கத்தரியாமலும் இருப்பாயாக.

19. All the firstborn that come of thine oxen and of thy sheep that are males, thou shalt hallow unto the LORD thy God. Thou shalt do no service with the firstborn of thy sheep:

20. கர்த்தர் தெரிந்துகொள்ளும் ஸ்தலத்திலே வருஷந்தோறும் நீயும் உன் வீட்டாருமாய் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அப்படிப்பட்டவைகளைப் புசிக்கக்கடவீர்கள்.

20. but shalt eat them before the LORD thy God year by year in the place which the LORD hath chosen both thou and thine household.

21. அதற்கு முடம் குருடு முதலான யாதொரு பழுது இருந்தால், அதை உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பலியிட வேண்டாம்.

21. If there be any deformity therein, whether it be lame or blind or whatsoever evil favouredness it hath, thou shalt not offer it unto the LORD thy God:

22. அப்படிப்பட்டதை நீ உன் வாசல்களிலே, கலைமானையும், வெளிமானையும், புசிப்பதுபோலப் புசிக்கலாம்; தீட்டுப்பட்டவனும் தீட்டுப்படாதவனும் அதைப்புசிக்கலாம்.

22. But shalt eat it in thine own city, the unclean and the clean indifferently, as the roe and the hart.

23. அதின் இரத்தத்தைமாத்திரம் சாப்பிடாமல், அதைத் தண்ணீரைப்போலத் தரையிலே ஊற்றிவிடக்கடவாய்.

23. Only eat not the blood thereof, but pour it upon the ground as water.
