1. ஏழாம் வருஷத்தின் முடிவிலே விடுதலைபண்ணுவாயாக.

1. 'At the end of seven years thou dost make a release,

2. விடுதலையின் விபரமாவது: பிறனுக்குக் கடன் கொடுத்தவன் எவனும், கர்த்தர் நியமித்த விடுதலை கூறப்பட்டபடியால், அந்தக் கடனைப் பிறன் கையிலாகிலும் தன் சகோதரன் கையிலாகிலும் தண்டாமல் விட்டுவிடக்கடவன்.

2. and this [is] the matter of the release: Every owner of a loan [is] to release his hand which he doth lift up against his neighbour, he doth not exact of his neighbour and of his brother, but hath proclaimed a release to Jehovah;

3. அந்நிய ஜாதியான் கையிலே நீ கடனைத் தண்டலாம்; உன் சகோதரனிடத்திலோ உனக்கு வரவேண்டியதை உன் கை விட்டுவிடக்கடவது.

3. of the stranger thou mayest exact, and that which is thine with thy brother doth thy hand release;

4. எளியவன் உனக்குள் இல்லாதிருக்கும்படியாக இப்படிச் செய்யவேண்டும்; இன்று நான் உனக்குக் கற்பிக்கிற எல்லாக் கற்பனைகளின்படியும் நீ செய்யும்படி, உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் சத்தத்தைக் கவனமாய்க் கேட்பாயானால்.,

4. only when there is no needy one with thee, for Jehovah doth greatly bless thee in the land which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee -- an inheritance to possess it.

5. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குச் சுதந்தரிக்கும்படி கொடுக்கும் தேசத்தில், உன்னை மேன்மேலும் ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.

5. 'Only, if thou dost diligently hearken to the voice of Jehovah thy God, to observe to do all this command which I am commanding thee to-day,

6. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குச் சொன்னபடி உன்னை ஆசீர்வதிப்பதினால், நீ அநேகம் ஜாதிகளுக்குக் கடன் கொடுப்பாய், நீயோ கடன் வாங்குவதில்லை; நீ அநேகம் ஜாதிகளை ஆளுவாய், உன்னையோ அவர்கள் ஆளுவதில்லை.

6. for Jehovah thy God hath blessed thee as He hath spoken to thee; and thou hast lent [to] many nations, and thou hast not borrowed; and thou hast ruled over many nations, and over thee they do not rule.

7. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குக் கொடுக்கும் தேசத்தின் எந்த வாசலிலும் உன் சகோதரரில் எளியவனான ஒருவன் இருந்தால், எளியவனாகிய உன் சகோதரனுக்கு உன் இருதயத்தை நீ கடினமாக்காமலும், உன் கையை மூடாமலும்,

7. 'When there is with thee any needy one of one of thy brethren, in one of thy cities, in thy land which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee, thou dost not harden thy heart, nor shut thy hand from thy needy brother;

8. அவனுக்கு உன் கையைத் தாராளமாய்த் திறந்து, அவனுடைய அவசரத்தினிமித்தம் அவனுக்குத் தேவையானதைக் கடன்கொடுப்பாயாக.

8. for thou dost certainly open thy hand to him, and dost certainly lend him sufficient for his lack which he lacketh.

9. விடுதலை வருஷமாகிய ஏழாம் வருஷம் கிட்டியிருக்கிறதென்று சொல்லி, உன் இருதயத்திலே பொல்லாத நினைவுகொண்டு, உன் ஏழைச் சகோதரனுக்குக் கொடாமல் மறுத்து, அவன்மேல் வன்கண் வைக்காதபடிக்கும், அவன் உன்னைக் குறித்துக் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி அபயமிடாதபடிக்கும் எச்சரிக்கையாயிரு; அப்படிச் செய்வாயானால் அது உனக்குப் பாவமாயிருக்கும்.

9. 'Take heed to thee lest there be a word in thy heart -- worthless, saying, Near [is] the seventh year, the year of release; and thine eye is evil against thy needy brother, and thou dost not give to him, and he hath called concerning thee unto Jehovah, and it hath been in thee sin;

10. அவனுக்குத் தாராளமாய்க் கொடுப்பாயாக; அவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கும்போது உன் இருதயம் விசனப்படாதிருப்பதாக; அதினிமித்தமாக உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னுடைய எல்லாக் கிரியைகளிலும், நீ கையிட்டுச் செய்யும் எல்லாக் காரியங்களிலும் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.

10. thou dost certainly give to him, and thy heart is not sad in thy giving to him, for because of this thing doth Jehovah thy God bless thee in all thy works, and in every putting forth of thy hand;

11. தேசத்திலே எளியவர்கள் இல்லாதிருப்பதில்லை; ஆகையால் உன் தேசத்திலே சிறுமைப்பட்டவனும் எளியவனுமாகிய உன் சகோதரனுக்கு உன் கையைத் தாராளமாய்த் திறக்கவேண்டும் என்று நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிடுகிறேன்.

11. because the needy one doth not cease out of the land, therefore I am commanding thee, saying, Thou dost certainly open thy hand to thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy one, in thy land.

12. உன் சதோதரனாகிய எபிரெய புருஷனாகிலும் எபிரெய ஸ்திரீயாகிலும் உனக்கு விலைப்பட்டால், ஆறு வருஷம் உன்னிடத்தில் சேவிக்கவேண்டும்; ஏழாம் வருஷத்தில் அவனை விடுதலைபண்ணி அனுப்பிவிடுவாயாக.

12. 'When thy brother is sold to thee, a Hebrew or a Hebrewess, and he hath served thee six years -- then in the seventh year thou dost send him away free from thee.

13. அவனை விடுதலைபண்ணி அனுப்பிவிடும்போது அவனை வெறுமையாய் அனுப்பிவிடாமல்,

13. And when thou dost send him away free from thee, thou dost not send him away empty;

14. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதித்ததின்படி, உன் ஆட்டுமந்தையிலும், உன் களத்திலும், உன் ஆலையிலும் எடுத்து அவனுக்குத் தாராளமாய்க் கொடுத்து அனுப்பிவிடுவாயாக.

14. thou dost certainly encircle him out of thy flock, and out of thy threshing-floor, and out of thy wine-vat; [of] that which Jehovah thy God hath blessed thee thou dost give to him,

15. நீ எகிப்துதேசத்தில் அடிமையாயிருந்ததையும், உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னை மீட்டுக்கொண்டதையும் நினைவு கூரக்கடவாய்; ஆகையால் நான் இன்று இந்தக் காரியத்தை உனக்குக் கட்டளையிடுகிறேன்.

15. and thou hast remembered that a servant thou hast been in the land of Egypt, and Jehovah thy God doth ransom thee; therefore I am commanding thee this thing to-day.

16. ஆனாலும், அவன் உன்னிடத்தில் நன்மைபெற்று, உன்னையும் உன் குடும்பத்தையும் நேசிப்பதினால்: நான் உன்னைவிட்டுப் போகமாட்டேன் என்று உன்னுடனே சொல்வானேயாகில்,

16. 'And it hath been, when he saith unto thee, I go not out from thee -- because he hath loved thee, and thy house, because [it is] good for him with thee --

17. நீ ஒரு கம்பியை எடுத்து, அவன் காதைக் கதவோடே சேர்த்துக் குத்துவாயாக; பின்பு அவன் என்றைக்கும் உனக்கு அடிமையாயிருக்கக்கடவன்; உன் அடிமைப்பெண்ணுக்கும் அப்படியே செய்யக்கடவாய்.

17. then thou hast taken the awl, and hast put [it] through his ear, and through the door, and he hath been to thee a servant age-during; and also to thy handmaid thou dost do so.

18. அவனை விடுதலையாக்கி அனுப்பிவிடுவது உனக்கு விசனமாய்க் காணப்படவேண்டாம்; இரட்டிப்பான கூலிக்கு ஈடாக ஆறு வருஷம் உன்னிடத்தில் சேவித்தானே; இப்படி உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நீ செய்யும் எல்லாவற்றிலும் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.

18. 'It is not hard in thine eyes, in thy sending him away free from thee; for the double of the hire of an hireling he hath served thee six years, and Jehovah thy God hath blessed thee in all that thou dost.

19. உன் ஆடுமாடுகளில் தலையீற்றாகிய ஆணையெல்லாம் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பரிசுத்தமாக்கக்கடவாய்; உன் மாட்டின் தலையீற்றை வேலை கொள்ளாமலும், உன் ஆட்டின் தலையீற்றை மயிர் கத்தரியாமலும் இருப்பாயாக.

19. 'Every firstling that is born in thy herd and in thy flock -- the male thou dost sanctify to Jehovah thy God; thou dost not work with the firstling of thine ox, nor shear the firstling of thy flock;

20. கர்த்தர் தெரிந்துகொள்ளும் ஸ்தலத்திலே வருஷந்தோறும் நீயும் உன் வீட்டாருமாய் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அப்படிப்பட்டவைகளைப் புசிக்கக்கடவீர்கள்.

20. before Jehovah thy God thou dost eat it year by year, in the place which Jehovah doth choose, thou and thy house.

21. அதற்கு முடம் குருடு முதலான யாதொரு பழுது இருந்தால், அதை உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பலியிட வேண்டாம்.

21. 'And when there is in it a blemish, lame, or blind, any evil blemish, thou dost not sacrifice it to Jehovah thy God;

22. அப்படிப்பட்டதை நீ உன் வாசல்களிலே, கலைமானையும், வெளிமானையும், புசிப்பதுபோலப் புசிக்கலாம்; தீட்டுப்பட்டவனும் தீட்டுப்படாதவனும் அதைப்புசிக்கலாம்.

22. within thy gates thou dost eat it, the unclean and the clean alike, as the roe, and as the hart.

23. அதின் இரத்தத்தைமாத்திரம் சாப்பிடாமல், அதைத் தண்ணீரைப்போலத் தரையிலே ஊற்றிவிடக்கடவாய்.

23. Only, its blood thou dost not eat; on the earth thou dost pour it as water.
