1. தேவன் எழுந்தருளுவார், அவருடைய சத்துருக்கள் சிதறுண்டு, அவரைப் பகைக்கிறவர்கள் அவருக்கு முன்பாக ஓடிப்போவார்கள்.

1. To the chief Musician. Of David. A Psalm: a Song. Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered, and let them that hate him flee before him.

2. புகை பறக்கடிக்கப்படுவதுபோல அவர்களைப் பறக்கடிப்பீர்; மெழுகு அக்கினிக்குமுன் உருகுவதுபோல துன்மார்க்கர் தேவனுக்குமுன் அழிவார்கள்.

2. As smoke is driven, thou wilt drive them away; as wax melteth before the fire, the wicked shall perish at the presence of God.

3. நீதிமான்களோ தேவனுக்குமுன்பாக மகிழ்ந்து களிகூர்ந்து, ஆனந்த சந்தோஷமடைவார்கள்.

3. But the righteous shall rejoice: they shall exult before God and be glad with joy.

4. தேவனைப் பாடி, அவருடைய நாமத்தைக் கீர்த்தனம்பண்ணுங்கள்; வனாந்தரங்களில் ஏறிவருகிறவருக்கு வழியை ஆயத்தப்படுத்துங்கள்; அவருடைய நாமம் யேகோவா, அவருக்கு முன்பாகக் களிகூருங்கள்.

4. Sing unto God, sing forth his name; cast up a way for him that rideth in the deserts: his name is Jah; and rejoice before him.

5. தம்முடைய பரிசுத்த வாசஸ்தலத்திலிருக்கிற தேவன், திக்கற்ற பிள்ளைகளுக்குத் தகப்பனும், விதவைகளுக்கு நியாயம் விசாரிக்கிறவருமாயிருக்கிறார்.

5. A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

6. தேவன் தனிமையானவர்களுக்கு வீடுவாசல் ஏற்படுத்தி, கட்டுண்டவர்களை விடுதலையாக்குகிறார்; துரோகிகளோ வறண்ட பூமியில் தங்குவார்கள்.

6. God maketh the solitary into families; those that were bound he bringeth out into prosperity: but the rebellious dwell in a parched [land].

7. தேவனே, நீர் உம்முடைய ஜனங்களுக்கு முன்னே சென்று, அவாந்தரவெளியிலே நடந்து வருகையில். (சேலா)

7. O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness -- (Selah) --

8. பூமி அதிர்ந்தது; தேவனாகிய உமக்கு முன்பாக வானமும் பொழிந்தது; இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாயிருக்கிற தேவனுக்கு முன்பாகவே இந்தச் சீனாய்மலையும் அசைந்தது.

8. The earth trembled, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God, yon Sinai, at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

9. தேவனே, சம்பூரண மழையைப் பெய்யப்பண்ணினீர்; இளைத்துப்போன உமது சுதந்தரத்தைத் திடப்படுத்தினீர்.

9. Thou, O God, didst pour a plentiful rain upon thine inheritance, and when it was weary thou strengthenedst it.

10. உம்முடைய மந்தை அதிலே தங்கியிருந்தது; தேவனே, உம்முடைய தயையினாலே ஏழைகளைப் பராமரிக்கிறீர்.

10. Thy flock hath dwelt therein: thou hast prepared in thy goodness, for the afflicted, O God!

11. ஆண்டவர் வசனம் தந்தார்; அதைப் பிரசித்தப்படுத்துகிறவர்களின் கூட்டம் மிகுதி.

11. The Lord gives the word: great the host of the publishers.

12. சேனைகளின் ராஜாக்கள் தத்தளித்து ஓடினார்கள்; வீட்டிலிருந்த ஸ்திரீயானவள் கொள்ளைப்பொருளைப் பங்கிட்டாள்.

12. Kings of armies flee; they flee, and she that tarrieth at home divideth the spoil.

13. நீங்கள் அடுப்பினடியில் கிடந்தவர்களாயிருந்தாலும், வெள்ளியால் அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்ட புறாச்சிறகுகள் போலவும், பசும்பொன் நிறமாகிய அதின் இறகுகளின் சாயலாகவும் இருப்பீர்கள்.

13. Though ye have lain among the sheepfolds, [ye shall be as] wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with green gold.

14. சர்வவல்லவர் அதில் ராஜாக்களைச் சிதறடித்தபோது, அது சல்மோன் மலையின் உறைந்த மழைபோல் வெண்மையாயிற்று.

14. When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it became snow-white as Zalmon.

15. தேவபர்வதம் பாசான் பர்வதம் போலிருக்கிறது; பாசான் பர்வதம் உயர்ந்த சிகரங்களுள்ளது.

15. [As] mount Bashan is the mount of God, a many-peaked mountain, [as] mount Bashan.

16. உயர்ந்த சிகரமுள்ள பர்வதங்களே, ஏன் துள்ளுகிறீர்கள்; இந்தப் பர்வதத்தில் வாசமாயிருக்க தேவன் விரும்பினார்; ஆம், கர்த்தர் இதிலே என்றென்றைக்கும் வாசமாயிருப்பார்.

16. Why do ye look with envy, ye many-peaked mountains, upon the mount that God hath desired for his abode? yea, Jehovah will dwell [there] for ever.

17. தேவனுடைய இரதங்கள் பதினாயிரங்களும், ஆயிரமாயிரங்களுமாயிருக்கிறது; ஆண்டவர் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலமான சீனாயிலிருந்த வண்ணமாய் அவைகளுக்குள் இருக்கிறார்.

17. The chariots of God are twenty thousand, thousands upon thousands; the Lord is among them: it is a Sinai in holiness.

18. தேவரீர் உன்னதத்திற்கு ஏறி, சிறைப்பட்டவர்களைச் சிறையாக்கிக் கொண்டுபோனீர்; தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் மனுஷருக்குள் வாசம்பண்ணும்பொருட்டு, துரோகிகளாகிய மனுஷர்களுக்காகவும் வரங்களைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டீர்.

18. Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts in Man, and even [for] the rebellious, for the dwelling [there] of Jah Elohim.

19. எந்நாளும் ஆண்டவருக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரமுண்டாவதாக; நம்மேல் பாரஞ்சுமத்தினாலும் நம்மை இரட்சிக்கிற தேவன் அவரே. (சேலா)

19. Blessed be the Lord: day by day doth he load us [with good], the *God who is our salvation. Selah.

20. நம்முடைய தேவன் இரட்சிப்பை அருளும் தேவனாயிருக்கிறார்; ஆண்டவராகிய கர்த்தரால் மரணத்திற்கு நீங்கும் வழிகளுண்டு.

20. Our *God is the *God of salvation; and with Jehovah, the Lord, are the goings forth [even] from death.

21. மெய்யாகவே தேவன் தம்முடைய சத்துருக்களின் சிரசையும், தன் அக்கிரமங்களில் துணிந்து நடக்கிறவனுடைய மயிருள்ள உச்சந்தலையையும் உடைப்பார்.

21. Verily God will smite the head of his enemies, the hairy scalp of him that goeth on still in his trespasses.

22. உன் கால்கள் சத்துருக்களின் இரத்தத்தில் பதியும்படியாகவும், உன் நாய்களின் நாவு அதை நக்கும்படியாகவும்,

22. The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring [them] again from the depth of the sea;

23. என்னுடைய ஜனத்தைப் பாசானிலிருந்து திரும்ப அழைத்து வருவேன்; அதைச் சமுத்திர ஆழங்களிலிருந்தும் திரும்ப அழைத்து வருவேன் என்று ஆண்டவர் சொன்னார்.

23. That thou mayest dip thy foot in blood: the tongue of thy dogs has its portion from enemies.

24. தேவனே, உம்முடைய நடைகளைக் கண்டார்கள்; என் தேவனும் என் ராஜாவும் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திலே நடந்து வருகிற நடைகளையே கண்டார்கள்.

24. They have seen thy goings, O God, the goings of my *God, my King, in the sanctuary.

25. முன்னாகப் பாடுகிறவர்களும், பின்னாக வீணைகளை வாசிக்கிறவர்களும், சுற்றிலும் தம்புரு வாசிக்கிற கன்னிகைகளும் நடந்தார்கள்.

25. The singers went before, the players on stringed instruments after, in the midst of maidens playing on tabrets.

26. இஸ்ரவேலின் ஊற்றிலிருந்து தோன்றினவர்களே, சபைகளின் நடுவே ஆண்டவராகிய தேவனை ஸ்தோத்திரியுங்கள்.

26. In the congregations bless ye God, the Lord, -- [ye] from the fountain of Israel.

27. அங்கே அவர்களை ஆளுகிற சின்ன பென்யமீனும், யூதாவின் பிரபுக்களும், அவர்கள் கூட்டமும், செபுலோனின் பிரபுக்களும், நப்தலியின் பிரபுக்களும் உண்டு.

27. There is little Benjamin, their ruler; the princes of Judah, their company; the princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.

28. உன் தேவன் உனக்குப் பலத்தைக் கட்டளையிட்டார்; தேவனே, நீர் எங்கள் நிமித்தம் உண்டு பண்ணினதைத் திடப்படுத்தும்.

28. Thy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.

29. எருசலேமிலுள்ள உம்முடைய ஆலயத்தினிமித்தம், ராஜாக்கள் உமக்குக் காணிக்கைகளைக் கொண்டு வருவார்கள்.

29. Because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee.

30. நாணலிலுள்ள மிருககூட்டத்தையும், ஜனங்களாகிய கன்றுகளோடுகூட ரிஷப கூட்டத்தையும் அதட்டும்; ஒவ்வொருவனும் வெள்ளிப்பணங்களைக் கொண்டுவந்து பணிந்துகொள்ளுவான்; யுத்தங்களில் பிரியப்படுகிற ஜனங்களைச் சிதறடிப்பார்.

30. Rebuke the beast of the reeds, the assembly of the strong, with the calves of the peoples: [every one] submitteth himself with pieces of silver. Scatter the peoples that delight in war.

31. பிரபுக்கள் எகிப்திலிருந்து வருவார்கள்; எத்தியோப்பியா தேவனை நோக்கி கையெடுக்கத் தீவிரிக்கும்.

31. Great ones shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall quickly stretch out her hands unto God.

32. பூமியின் ராஜ்யங்களே, தேவனைப் பாடி, ஆண்டவரைக் கீர்த்தனம்பண்ணுங்கள். (சேலா)

32. Ye kingdoms of the earth, sing unto God; sing psalms of the Lord, (Selah,)

33. ஆதிமுதலாயிருக்கிற வானாதி வானங்களின்மேல் எழுந்தருளியிருக்கிறவரைப் பாடுங்கள்; இதோ, தமது சத்தத்தைப் பலத்த சத்தமாய் முழங்கப்பண்ணுகிறார்.

33. Of him that rideth upon the heavens, the heavens which are of old: lo, he uttereth his voice, a mighty voice.

34. தேவனுடைய வல்லமையைப் பிரசித்தப்படுத்துங்கள்; அவருடைய மகிமை இஸ்ரவேலின்மேலும், அவருடைய வல்லமை மேகமண்டலங்களிலும் உள்ளது.

34. Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.

35. தேவனே, உமது பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலங்களிலிருந்து பயங்கரமாய் விளங்குகிறீர்; இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவன் தம்முடைய ஜனங்களுக்குப் பெலனையும் சத்துவத்தையும் அருளுகிறவர்; தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரமுண்டாவதாக.

35. Terrible art thou, O God, out of thy sanctuaries, -- the *God of Israel! He it is that giveth strength and might unto the people. Blessed be God!
