2. Please listen and answer me. Let me speak to you and tell you what upsets me.

3. அவர்கள் என்மேல் பழிசாட்டி, குரோதங்கொண்டு, என்னைப் பகைக்கிறார்கள்.

3. My enemies shout at me and threaten me. In their anger they attack me. They bring troubles crashing down on me.

4. My heart is pounding inside me. I am scared to death.

5. I am trembling with fear. I am terrified!

6. அப்பொழுது நான்: ஆ, எனக்குப் புறாவைப்போல் சிறகுகள் இருந்தால், நான்பறந்துபோய் இளைப்பாறுவேன்.

6. Oh, I wish I had wings like a dove. I would fly away and find a place to rest.

7. I would go far into the desert and stay there. Selah

8. பெருங்காற்றுக்கும் புசலுக்கும் தப்பத் தீவிரித்துக்கொள்ளுவேன் என்றேன்.

8. I would run away. I would escape from this storm of trouble.

9. ஆண்டவரே, அவர்களை அழித்து, அவர்கள் பாஷையைப் பிரிந்துபோகப்பண்ணும்; கொடுமையையும் சண்டையையும் நகரத்திலே கண்டேன்;

9. My Lord, confuse their words and stop their plans. I see much cruelty and fighting in this city.

10. அவைகள் இரவும்பகலும் அதின் மதில்கள்மேல் சுற்றித்திரிகிறது; அக்கிரமமும் வாதையும் அதின் நடுவில் இருக்கிறது;

10. Day and night, in every neighborhood, the city is filled with evil and trouble.

11. கேடுபாடுகள் அதின் நடுவில் இருக்கிறது; கொடுமையும் கபடும் அதின் வீதியைவிட்டு விலகிப்போகிறதில்லை.

11. There is so much crime in the streets. People who hurt and cheat others are everywhere.

12. என்னை நிந்தித்தவன் சத்துரு அல்ல, அப்படியிருந்தால் சகிப்பேன்; எனக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பெருமை பாராட்டினவன் என் பகைஞன் அல்ல, அப்படியிருந்தால் அவனுக்கு மறைந்திருப்பேன்.

12. If it were an enemy insulting me, I could bear it. If it were my enemies attacking me, I could hide.

13. எனக்குச் சமமான மனுஷனும், என் வழிகாட்டியும், என் தோழனுமாகிய நீயே அவன்.

13. But it is you, the one so close to me, my companion, my good friend, who does this.

14. நாம் ஒருமித்து, இன்பமான ஆலோசனைபண்ணி, கூட்டத்தோடே தேவாலயத்துக்குப் போனோம்.

14. We used to share our secrets with one another, as we walked through the crowds together in God's Temple.

15. மரணம் அவர்களைத் தொடர்ந்து பிடிப்பதாக; அவர்கள் உயிரோடே பாதாளத்தில் இறங்குவார்களாக; அவர்கள் வாசஸ்தலங்களிலும் அவர்கள் உள்ளத்திலும் பொல்லாங்கு இருக்கிறது.

15. I wish death would take my enemies by surprise! I wish the earth would open up and swallow them alive because they plan such terrible things together.

16. நானோ தேவனை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுவேன்; கர்த்தர் என்னை இரட்சிப்பார்.

16. I will call to God for help, and the Lord will save me.

17. அந்திசந்தி மத்தியான வேளைகளிலும் நான் தியானம்பண்ணி முறையிடுவேன்; அவர் என் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்பார்.

17. I speak to God morning, noon, and night. I tell him what upsets me, and he listens to me!

18. திரளான கூட்டமாய்க் கூடி என்னோடு எதிர்த்தார்கள்; அவரோ எனக்கு நேரிட்ட போரை நீக்கி, என் ஆத்துமாவைச் சமாதானத்துடன் மீட்டுவிட்டார்.

18. I have fought in many battles, but he has always rescued me and brought me back safely.

19. ஆதிமுதலாய் வீற்றிருக்கிற தேவன் கேட்டு, அவர்களுக்குப் பதிலளிப்பார்; அவர்களுக்கு மாறுதல்கள் நேரிடாததினால், அவர்கள் தேவனுக்குப் பயப்படாமற்போகிறார்கள். (சேலா)

19. God, who has always ruled as king, will hear me and punish my enemies. Selah But they will never change. They don't fear and respect God.

20. அவன் தன்னோடே சமாதானமாயிருந்தவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாய்த் தன் கையை நீட்டி தன் உடன்படிக்கையை மீறி நடந்தான்.

20. This one who was once my friend now attacks his friends. He is breaking every promise he made.

21. அவன் வாயின் சொற்கள் வெண்ணெயைப்போல மெதுவானவைகள், அவன் இருதயமோ யுத்தம்; அவன் வார்த்தைகள் எண்ணெயிலும் மிருதுவானவைகள். ஆனாலும் அவைகள் உருவின பட்டயங்கள்.

21. His words about peace are as smooth as butter, but he has only war on his mind. His words are as slick as oil, but they cut like a knife.

22. கர்த்தர்மேல் உன் பாரத்தை வைத்துவிடு, அவர் உன்னை ஆதரிப்பார்; நீதிமானை ஒருபோதும் தள்ளாடவொட்டார்.

22. Give your worries to the Lord, and he will care for you. He will never let those who are good be defeated.

23. தேவனே, நீர் அவர்களை அழிவின் குழியில் இறங்கப்பண்ணுவீர்; இரத்தப்பிரியரும் சூதுள்ள மனுஷரும் தங்கள் ஆயுளின் நாட்களில் பாதிவரையிலாகிலும் பிழைத்திருக்கமாட்டார்கள்; நானோ உம்மை நம்பியிருக்கிறேன்.

23. But, God, you will send those liars and murderers to the grave. They will die before their life is half finished! As for me, I will put my trust in you.
