1. கர்த்தரை நான் எக்காலத்திலும் ஸ்தோத்திரிப்பேன்; அவர் துதி எப்போதும் என் வாயிலிருக்கும்.

1. Of David, when he fained him self to be made before Abimelech: which drove him away, and he departed. I will alway give thanks unto the LORD, his praise shall ever be in my mouth.

2. கர்த்தருக்குள் என் ஆத்துமா மேன்மைபாராட்டும்; சிறுமைப்பட்டவர்கள் அதைக்கேட்டு மகிழுவார்கள்.

2. My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble(poor oppressed) shall hear thereof, and be glad.

3. என்னோடே கூடக் கர்த்தரை மகிமைப்படுத்துங்கள்; நாம் ஒருமித்து அவர் நாமத்தை உயர்த்துவோமாக.

3. O praise the LORD with me, and let us magnify his name together.

4. நான் கர்த்தரைத் தேடினேன், அவர் எனக்குச் செவிகொடுத்து, என்னுடைய எல்லாப் பயத்துக்கும் என்னை நீங்கலாக்கிவிட்டார்.

4. I sought the LORD, and he heard me, yea he delivered me out of all my fear.

5. அவர்கள் அவரை நோக்கிப்பார்த்துப் பிரகாசமடைந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் முகங்கள் வெட்கப்படவில்லை.

5. They that have a eye unto him, shall be lightened, and their faces shall not be ashamed.

6. இந்த ஏழை கூப்பிட்டான், கர்த்தர் கேட்டு, அவனை அவன் இடுக்கண்களுக்கெல்லாம் நீங்கலாக்கி இரட்சித்தார்.

6. This poor man cried unto the LORD, and he heard him, yea and delivered him out of all his troubles.

7. கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் அவருக்குப் பயந்தவர்களைச் சூழப் பாளயமிறங்கி அவர்களை விடுவிக்கிறார்.
எபிரேயர் 1:14

7. The Angel of the LORD pitcheth his tent round about him(them) that fear him, and delivereth them.

8. கர்த்தர் நல்லவர் என்பதை ருசித்துப்பாருங்கள்; அவர்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாயிருக்கிற மனுஷன் பாக்கியவான்.
1 பேதுரு 2:3

8. O taste and see how friendly the LORD is, blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

9. கர்த்தருடைய பரிசுத்தவான்களே, அவருக்குப் பயந்திருங்கள்; அவருக்குப் பயந்தவர்களுக்குக் குறைவில்லை.

9. O fear the LORD, ye that be his saints: for they that fear him, lack nothing.

10. சிங்கக்குட்டிகள் தாழ்ச்சியடைந்து பட்டினியாயிருக்கும்; கர்த்தரைத் தேடுகிறவர்களுக்கோ ஒரு நன்மையுங்குறைவுபடாது.

10. The rich shall want and suffer hunger, but they which seek the LORD, shall want no manner of thing, that is good.

11. பிள்ளைகளே, வந்து எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்; கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுதலை உங்களுக்குப் போதிப்பேன்.

11. Come hither, O ye children, hearken unto me, I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

12. நன்மையைக் காணும்படி, ஜீவனை விரும்பி, நீடித்த நாட்களை அபேட்சிக்கிற மனுஷன் யார்?

12. Who so listeth to live, and would fain see good days.

13. உன் நாவைப் பொல்லாப்புக்கும், உன் உதடுகளைக் கபட்டுவசனிப்புக்கும் விலக்கிக் காத்துக்கொள்.

13. Let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile.

14. தீமையை விட்டு விலகி, நன்மை செய்; சமாதானத்தைத் தேடி, அதைத் தொடர்ந்துகொள்.

14. Let him eschew evil, and do good: Let him seek peace and ensue it.

15. கர்த்தருடைய கண்கள் நீதிமான்கள்மேல் நோக்கமாயிருக்கிறது; அவருடைய செவிகள் அவர்கள் கூப்பிடுதலுக்குத் திறந்திருக்கிறது.

15. For the eyes of the LORD are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers.

16. தீமைசெய்கிறவர்களுடைய பேரைப் பூமியில் இராமல் அற்றுப்போகப்பண்ண, கர்த்தருடைய முகம் அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாயிருக்கிறது.

16. But the face of the LORD beholdeth them that do evil, to destroy the remembrance of them out of the earth.

17. நீதிமான்கள் கூப்பிடும்போது கர்த்தர் கேட்டு, அவர்களை அவர்களுடைய எல்லா உபத்திரவங்களுக்கும் நீங்கலாக்கிவிடுகிறார்.

17. When the righteous cry, the LORD heareth them, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

18. நொறுங்குண்ட இருதயமுள்ளவர்களுக்குக் கர்த்தர் சமீபமாயிருந்து, நருங்குண்ட ஆவியுள்ளவர்களை இரட்சிக்கிறார்.

18. The LORD is nigh unto them that are contrite in heart, and will help such as be of an humble spirit.

19. நீதிமானுக்கு வரும் துன்பங்கள் அநேகமாயிருக்கும், கர்த்தர் அவைகளெல்லாவற்றிலும் நின்று அவனை விடுவிப்பார்.

19. Great are the troubles of the righteous, but the LORD delivereth them out of all.

20. அவனுடைய எலும்புகளையெல்லாம் காப்பாற்றுகிறார்; அவைகளில் ஒன்றும் முறிக்கப்படுவதில்லை.

20. He keepeth all their bones, so that not one of them is broken.

21. தீமை துன்மார்க்கனைக் கொல்லும்; நீதிமானைப் பகைக்கிறவர்கள் குற்றவாளிகளாவார்கள்.

21. But misfortune shall slay the ungodly, and they that hate the righteous shall be guilty.

22. கர்த்தர் தமது ஊழியக்காரரின் ஆத்துமாவை மீட்டுக்கொள்ளுகிறார்; அவரை நம்புகிற ஒருவன்மேலும் குற்றஞ்சுமராது.

22. The LORD delivereth the souls of his servants, and all they that put their trust in him, shall not offend.
