1. கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

1. And the Lorde spake vnto Moyses, saying:

2. நீ ஆரோனோடே சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: நீ விளக்குகளை ஏற்றும்போது ஏழு விளக்குகளும் விளக்குத்தண்டிற்கு நேரே எரியவேண்டும் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

2. Speake vnto Aaron, and say vnto hym: When thou settest vp the lampes, the seuen lampes shal geue light towarde ye forefront of the candlesticke.

3. கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்ட பிரகாரம் ஆரோன் செய்து, விளக்குத்தண்டிற்கு நேரே ஒழுங்காக அதின் விளக்குகளை ஏற்றினான்.

3. And Aaron dyd euen so, and lyghted the lampes thereof towarde the forefront of the candlesticke, as the Lorde commaunded Moyses.

4. இந்தக் குத்துவிளக்கு, அதின் பாதமுதல் பூக்கள்வரைக்கும் பொன்னினால் அடிப்புவேலையாய்ச் செய்யப்பட்டிருந்தது; மோசேக்குக் காண்பித்த மாதிரியின்படியே அவன் குத்துவிளக்கை உண்டாக்கினான்.

4. And this was the worke of the candlesticke, euen of golde beaten out with the hammer, both the shaft and the flowres therof was beaten out with ye hammer: accordyng vnto the paterne which the Lorde had shewed Moyses, euen so he made the candlesticke.

5. பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

5. And the Lorde spake vnto Moyses, saying:

6. நீ இஸ்ரவேல் சந்ததியாரினின்று லேவியரைப் பிரித்தெடுத்து, அவர்களைச் சுத்திகரிப்பாயாக.

6. Take the Leuites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.

7. அவர்களைச் சுத்திகரிக்கும்படி அவர்களுக்குச் செய்யவேண்டியதாவது: அவர்கள்மேல் சுத்திகரிக்கும் ஜலத்தைத் தெளிப்பாயாக; பின்பு அவர்கள் சர்வாங்க சவரம்பண்ணி, தங்கள் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்த்து, தங்களைச் சுத்திகரிக்கக்கடவர்கள்.

7. And thus shalt thou do vnto them, when thou cleansest them: Sprinckle water of purifiyng vpon them, and let them shaue all their fleshe, and let them washe their clothes, and so make them selues cleane.

8. அப்பொழுது ஒரு காளையையும், அதற்கேற்ற எண்ணெயிலே பிசைந்த மெல்லியமாவாகிய போஜனபலியையும் கொண்டுவரக்கடவர்கள்; பாவநிவாரணபலியாக வேறொரு காளையையும் நீ வாங்கி.

8. Then let them take a young bullocke with his meate offeryng [euen] fine floure minged with oyle, and another young bullocke shalt thou take for a sinne offeryng.

9. லேவியரை ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்துக்கு முன் வரச்செய்து, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் சபையார் எல்லாரையும் கூடிவரப்பண்ணுவாயாக.

9. And thou shalt bryng the Leuites before the tabernacle of the congregation, thou shalt gather the whole multitude of the children of Israel together,

10. நீ லேவியரைக் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் வரப்பண்ணினபோது, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் தங்கள் கைகளை லேவியர்மேல் வைக்கக்கடவர்கள்.

10. And bryng the Leuites before the Lorde, and the children of Israel shall put their handes vpon the Leuites.

11. லேவியர் கர்த்தருக்குரிய பணிவிடை செய்யும்பொருட்டு, ஆரோன் அவர்களை இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் காணிக்கையாகக் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக அசைவாட்டப்படும் காணிக்கையாய் நிறுத்தக்கடவன்.

11. And Aaron shall waue the Leuites before the Lorde for a waue offeryng of the children of Israel, that they may execute the ministration of the seruice of the Lorde.

12. அதன்பின் லேவியர் தங்கள் கைகளைக் காளைகளுடைய தலையின்மேல் வைப்பார்களாக; பின்பு நீ லேவியருக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யும்பொருட்டு, கர்த்தருக்கு அவைகளில் ஒன்றைப் பாவநிவாரணபலியாகவும், மற்றொன்றைச் சர்வாங்கதகனபலியாகவும் செலுத்தி,

12. And the Leuites shal put their handes vpon the heades of the bullockes: and thou shalt offer the one for a sinne offeryng, and the other for a burnt offeryng vnto the Lorde, that thou mayest make an attonement for the Leuites.

13. லேவியரை ஆரோனுக்கும் அவன் குமாரனுக்கும் முன்பாக நிறுத்தி, அவர்களைக் கர்த்தருக்கு அசைவாட்டப்படும் காணிக்கையாக்கி,

13. And thou shalt set the Leuites before Aaron and his sonnes, and waue them for a waue offeryng vnto the Lorde.

14. இப்படி நீ லேவியரை இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரிலிருந்து பிரித்தெடுக்கக்கடவாய்; லேவியர் என்னுடையவர்களாயிருப்பார்கள்.

14. And thus thou shalt seperate the Leuites from among the children of Israel, and the Leuites shalbe myne.

15. இப்படி அவர்களைச் சுத்திகரித்து, அவர்களை அசைவாட்டும் காணிக்கையாக்கக்கடவாய்; அதன்பின்பு லேவியர் ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்தில் பணிவிடை செய்யப் பிரவேசிக்கக்கடவர்கள்.

15. After that, shall the Leuites go in, to do the seruice of the tabernacle of the congregation: And thou shalt cleanse them, & waue them for a waue offering:

16. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரிலிருந்து அவர்கள் எனக்கு முற்றிலும் கொடுக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்கள்; இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் எல்லாரிலும் கர்ப்பந்திறந்து பிறக்கிற சகல முதற்பேறுக்கும் பதிலாக அவர்களை எனக்கு எடுத்துக்கொண்டேன்.

16. For they are geuen and deliuered vnto me from among the children of Israel for such as open euery wombe, euen for the first borne of all the children of Israel haue I taken them vnto me.

17. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரில் மனிதரிலும் மிருகஜீவன்களிலும் முதற்பேறானதெல்லாம் என்னுடையது; நான் எகிப்துதேசத்திலே முதற்பேறான யாவையும் சங்கரித்த நாளிலே அவைகளை எனக்கென்று பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தி,

17. For all the first borne of the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: since the day that I smote euery first borne in the lande of Egypt, I sanctified them for my selfe.

18. பின்பு லேவியரை இஸ்ரவேல் புத்தரரிலுள்ள முதற்பேறு சகலத்திற்கும் பதிலாக எடுத்துக்கொண்டு,

18. And I haue taken the Leuites for all the first borne of the children of Israel.

19. லேவியர் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய பணிவிடையை ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்தில் செய்யும்படிக்கும், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யும்படிக்கும், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் தாங்களே பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தில் சேருகிறதினால் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரில் வாதையுண்டாகாதபடிக்கும், லேவியரை அவர்களிலிருந்து எடுத்து, ஆரோனுக்கும் அவன் குமாரருக்கும் தத்தமாகக் கொடுத்தேன் என்றார்.

19. And haue geuen the Leuites as a gift to Aaron and his sonnes from among the children of Israel, to do the seruice of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an attonement for the children of Israel: that there be no plague among the children of Israel, if the children of Israel come nye vnto the sanctuarie.

20. அப்பொழுது மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் சபையார் யாவரும் கர்த்தர் லேவியரைக்குறித்து மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியெல்லாம் லேவியருக்குச் செய்தார்கள்.

20. And Moyses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, dyd with the Leuites: accordyng vnto all that the Lorde comaunded Moyses concernyng the Leuites, euen so did the children of Israel vnto them.

21. லேவியர் சுத்திகரிக்கப்பட்டு, தங்கள் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்த்தார்கள்; பின்பு ஆரோன் அவர்களைக் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக அசைவாட்டும் காணிக்கையாக நிறுத்தி, அவர்களைச் சுத்திகரிக்க அவர்களுக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்தான்.

21. And the Leuites were purified, and wasshed their clothes: And Aaron waued them as a waue offeryng before the Lorde, and made an attonement for them, to cleanse them.

22. அதற்குப்பின்பு லேவியர் ஆரோனுக்கும் அவன் குமாரருக்கும் முன்பாக ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்தில் தங்கள் பணிவிடையைச் செய்யும்படி பிரவேசித்தார்கள்; கர்த்தர் லேவியரைக்குறித்து மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே அவர்களுக்குச் செய்தார்கள்.

22. After that, went the Leuites in, to do their seruice in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron and his sonnes: as the Lorde had comaunded Moyses concernyng the Leuites, euen so they dyd vnto them.

23. பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

23. And the Lorde spake vnto Moyses, saying:

24. லேவியருக்குரிய கட்டளை என்னவென்றால்: இருபத்தைந்து வயதுமுதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட வயதுள்ள யாவரும் ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்தின் பணிவிடையைச் செய்யும் சேனையிலே சேவிக்க வரவேண்டும்.

24. This is it that belongeth vnto the Leuites: From twentie and fiue yeres olde and vpwarde, they shall go in to wayte vpon the seruice of the tabernacle of the congregation.

25. ஐம்பது வயதுக்கு மேற்பட்டவர்கள் வேலைசெய்யாமல் திருப்பணி சேனையை விட்டு,

25. And from the age of fiftie yeres, they shall ceasse waytyng vpon the seruice therof, and shall serue no more:

26. ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்தின் காவலைக்காக்கிறதற்குத் தங்கள் சகோதரரோடேகூட ஊழியஞ்செய்வதேயன்றி, வேறொரு சேவகமும் செய்யவேண்டியதில்லை; இப்படி லேவியர் செய்யவேண்டிய வேலைகளைக்குறித்துத் திட்டம்பண்ணக்கடவாய் என்றார்.

26. But shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation, to kepe thynges committed to their charge: but shall do no more seruice. Thus therfore shalt thou do vnto the Leuites touchyng their charge,
