1. கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

1. And the LORD spake unto Moses saying:

2. நீ ஆரோனோடே சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: நீ விளக்குகளை ஏற்றும்போது ஏழு விளக்குகளும் விளக்குத்தண்டிற்கு நேரே எரியவேண்டும் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

2. speak unto Aaron and say unto him: when thou puttest on the lamps see that they light all seven upon the forefront of the candlestick.

3. கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்ட பிரகாரம் ஆரோன் செய்து, விளக்குத்தண்டிற்கு நேரே ஒழுங்காக அதின் விளக்குகளை ஏற்றினான்.

3. And Aaron did even so, and put the lamps upon the forefront of the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses,

4. இந்தக் குத்துவிளக்கு, அதின் பாதமுதல் பூக்கள்வரைக்கும் பொன்னினால் அடிப்புவேலையாய்ச் செய்யப்பட்டிருந்தது; மோசேக்குக் காண்பித்த மாதிரியின்படியே அவன் குத்துவிளக்கை உண்டாக்கினான்.

4. and the work of the candlestick was of stiff gold: both the shaft and the flowers thereof. And according unto the vision which the LORD had shewed Moses even so he made the candlestick.

5. பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

5. And the LORD spake unto Moses saying:

6. நீ இஸ்ரவேல் சந்ததியாரினின்று லேவியரைப் பிரித்தெடுத்து, அவர்களைச் சுத்திகரிப்பாயாக.

6. take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.

7. அவர்களைச் சுத்திகரிக்கும்படி அவர்களுக்குச் செய்யவேண்டியதாவது: அவர்கள்மேல் சுத்திகரிக்கும் ஜலத்தைத் தெளிப்பாயாக; பின்பு அவர்கள் சர்வாங்க சவரம்பண்ணி, தங்கள் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்த்து, தங்களைச் சுத்திகரிக்கக்கடவர்கள்.

7. And this do unto them when thou cleansest them, sprinkle water of purifying upon them and make a razor to run along upon all the flesh of them, and let them wash their clothes, and then they shall be clean.

8. அப்பொழுது ஒரு காளையையும், அதற்கேற்ற எண்ணெயிலே பிசைந்த மெல்லியமாவாகிய போஜனபலியையும் கொண்டுவரக்கடவர்கள்; பாவநிவாரணபலியாக வேறொரு காளையையும் நீ வாங்கி.

8. And let them take a bullock and his meatoffering, fine flour mingled with oil: and another bullock shalt thou take to be a sinoffering.

9. லேவியரை ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்துக்கு முன் வரச்செய்து, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் சபையார் எல்லாரையும் கூடிவரப்பண்ணுவாயாக.

9. Then bring the Levites before the tabernacle of witness and gather the hole multitude of the children of Israel together.

10. நீ லேவியரைக் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் வரப்பண்ணினபோது, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் தங்கள் கைகளை லேவியர்மேல் வைக்கக்கடவர்கள்.

10. And bring the Levites before the LORD, and let the children of Israel put their hands upon the Levites.

11. லேவியர் கர்த்தருக்குரிய பணிவிடை செய்யும்பொருட்டு, ஆரோன் அவர்களை இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் காணிக்கையாகக் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக அசைவாட்டப்படும் காணிக்கையாய் நிறுத்தக்கடவன்.

11. And let Aaron heave the Levites before the LORD,(LORDE) for an heaveoffering given of the children of Israel, and then let them be appointed to wait upon the service of the LORD.

12. அதன்பின் லேவியர் தங்கள் கைகளைக் காளைகளுடைய தலையின்மேல் வைப்பார்களாக; பின்பு நீ லேவியருக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யும்பொருட்டு, கர்த்தருக்கு அவைகளில் ஒன்றைப் பாவநிவாரணபலியாகவும், மற்றொன்றைச் சர்வாங்கதகனபலியாகவும் செலுத்தி,

12. And let the Levites put their hands upon the heads of the bullocks, and then offer them: the one for a sinoffering and the other for a burntoffering unto the LORD, to make an atonement for the Levites.

13. லேவியரை ஆரோனுக்கும் அவன் குமாரனுக்கும் முன்பாக நிறுத்தி, அவர்களைக் கர்த்தருக்கு அசைவாட்டப்படும் காணிக்கையாக்கி,

13. And make the Levites stand before Aaron and his sons, and have them to be a heaveoffering unto the LORD.

14. இப்படி நீ லேவியரை இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரிலிருந்து பிரித்தெடுக்கக்கடவாய்; லேவியர் என்னுடையவர்களாயிருப்பார்கள்.

14. And thou shalt separate the Levites, from among the children of Israel, that they be mine:

15. இப்படி அவர்களைச் சுத்திகரித்து, அவர்களை அசைவாட்டும் காணிக்கையாக்கக்கடவாய்; அதன்பின்பு லேவியர் ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்தில் பணிவிடை செய்யப் பிரவேசிக்கக்கடவர்கள்.

15. and after that let them go and do the service of the tabernacle of witness. Cleanse them and wave them,

16. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரிலிருந்து அவர்கள் எனக்கு முற்றிலும் கொடுக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்கள்; இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் எல்லாரிலும் கர்ப்பந்திறந்து பிறக்கிற சகல முதற்பேறுக்கும் பதிலாக அவர்களை எனக்கு எடுத்துக்கொண்டேன்.

16. for they are given unto me from among the children of Israel: for I have taken them unto me for all the firstborn that open any matrice among the children of Israel.

17. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரில் மனிதரிலும் மிருகஜீவன்களிலும் முதற்பேறானதெல்லாம் என்னுடையது; நான் எகிப்துதேசத்திலே முதற்பேறான யாவையும் சங்கரித்த நாளிலே அவைகளை எனக்கென்று பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தி,

17. For all the firstborn among the children of Israel are mine both man and beast: because the same time that I smote the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctified them for myself:

18. பின்பு லேவியரை இஸ்ரவேல் புத்தரரிலுள்ள முதற்பேறு சகலத்திற்கும் பதிலாக எடுத்துக்கொண்டு,

18. and I have taken the Levites for all the firstborn among the children of Israel,

19. லேவியர் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய பணிவிடையை ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்தில் செய்யும்படிக்கும், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யும்படிக்கும், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் தாங்களே பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தில் சேருகிறதினால் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரில் வாதையுண்டாகாதபடிக்கும், லேவியரை அவர்களிலிருந்து எடுத்து, ஆரோனுக்கும் அவன் குமாரருக்கும் தத்தமாகக் கொடுத்தேன் என்றார்.

19. and have given them unto Aaron and his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of witness and to make an atonement for the children of Israel, that there be no plague among the children of Israel, if they come nigh unto the sanctuary.

20. அப்பொழுது மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் சபையார் யாவரும் கர்த்தர் லேவியரைக்குறித்து மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியெல்லாம் லேவியருக்குச் செய்தார்கள்.

20. And Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel did unto the Levites according unto all that the LORD commanded Moses.

21. லேவியர் சுத்திகரிக்கப்பட்டு, தங்கள் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்த்தார்கள்; பின்பு ஆரோன் அவர்களைக் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக அசைவாட்டும் காணிக்கையாக நிறுத்தி, அவர்களைச் சுத்திகரிக்க அவர்களுக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்தான்.

21. And the Levites purified them selves, and washed their clothes. And Aaron waved them before the LORD, and made an atonement for them to cleanse them.

22. அதற்குப்பின்பு லேவியர் ஆரோனுக்கும் அவன் குமாரருக்கும் முன்பாக ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்தில் தங்கள் பணிவிடையைச் செய்யும்படி பிரவேசித்தார்கள்; கர்த்தர் லேவியரைக்குறித்து மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே அவர்களுக்குச் செய்தார்கள்.

22. And after that they went in to do their service in the tabernacle of witness, before Aaron and his sons. And according as the LORD had commanded Moses as concerning the Levites, even so they did unto them.

23. பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

23. And the LORD spake unto Moses saying:

24. லேவியருக்குரிய கட்டளை என்னவென்றால்: இருபத்தைந்து வயதுமுதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட வயதுள்ள யாவரும் ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்தின் பணிவிடையைச் செய்யும் சேனையிலே சேவிக்க வரவேண்டும்.

24. this shall be the manner of the Levites: from twenty five year upward they shall go in to wait upon the service in the tabernacle of witness,

25. ஐம்பது வயதுக்கு மேற்பட்டவர்கள் வேலைசெய்யாமல் திருப்பணி சேனையை விட்டு,

25. and at fifty they shall cease waiting upon the service thereof, and shall labour no more:

26. ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்தின் காவலைக்காக்கிறதற்குத் தங்கள் சகோதரரோடேகூட ஊழியஞ்செய்வதேயன்றி, வேறொரு சேவகமும் செய்யவேண்டியதில்லை; இப்படி லேவியர் செய்யவேண்டிய வேலைகளைக்குறித்துத் திட்டம்பண்ணக்கடவாய் என்றார்.

26. but shall minister unto their brethren in the tabernacle of witness, and there wait, but shall do no more service. And see that thou do after this manner unto the Levites in their waiting times.
