1. கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

1. And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

2. நீ ஆரோனோடே சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: நீ விளக்குகளை ஏற்றும்போது ஏழு விளக்குகளும் விளக்குத்தண்டிற்கு நேரே எரியவேண்டும் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

2. 'Speak unto Aaron, and thou hast said unto him, In thy causing the lights to go up, over-against the face of the candlestick do the seven lights give light.'

3. கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்ட பிரகாரம் ஆரோன் செய்து, விளக்குத்தண்டிற்கு நேரே ஒழுங்காக அதின் விளக்குகளை ஏற்றினான்.

3. And Aaron doth so; over-against the face of the candlestick he hath caused its lights to go up, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

4. இந்தக் குத்துவிளக்கு, அதின் பாதமுதல் பூக்கள்வரைக்கும் பொன்னினால் அடிப்புவேலையாய்ச் செய்யப்பட்டிருந்தது; மோசேக்குக் காண்பித்த மாதிரியின்படியே அவன் குத்துவிளக்கை உண்டாக்கினான்.

4. And this [is] the work of the candlestick: beaten work of gold; unto its thigh, unto its flower it [is] beaten work; as the appearance which Jehovah shewed Moses, so he hath made the candlestick.

5. பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

5. And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

6. நீ இஸ்ரவேல் சந்ததியாரினின்று லேவியரைப் பிரித்தெடுத்து, அவர்களைச் சுத்திகரிப்பாயாக.

6. 'Take the Levites from the midst of the sons of Israel, and thou hast cleansed them.

7. அவர்களைச் சுத்திகரிக்கும்படி அவர்களுக்குச் செய்யவேண்டியதாவது: அவர்கள்மேல் சுத்திகரிக்கும் ஜலத்தைத் தெளிப்பாயாக; பின்பு அவர்கள் சர்வாங்க சவரம்பண்ணி, தங்கள் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்த்து, தங்களைச் சுத்திகரிக்கக்கடவர்கள்.

7. 'And thus thou dost to them to cleanse them: sprinkle upon them waters of atonement, and they have caused a razor to pass over all their flesh, and have washed their garments, and cleansed themselves,

8. அப்பொழுது ஒரு காளையையும், அதற்கேற்ற எண்ணெயிலே பிசைந்த மெல்லியமாவாகிய போஜனபலியையும் கொண்டுவரக்கடவர்கள்; பாவநிவாரணபலியாக வேறொரு காளையையும் நீ வாங்கி.

8. and have taken a bullock, a son of the herd, and its present, flour mixed with oil, -- and a second bullock a son of the herd thou dost take for a sin-offering,

9. லேவியரை ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்துக்கு முன் வரச்செய்து, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் சபையார் எல்லாரையும் கூடிவரப்பண்ணுவாயாக.

9. and thou hast brought near the Levites before the tent of meeting, and thou hast assembled the whole company of the sons of Israel,

10. நீ லேவியரைக் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் வரப்பண்ணினபோது, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் தங்கள் கைகளை லேவியர்மேல் வைக்கக்கடவர்கள்.

10. and thou hast brought near the Levites before Jehovah, and the sons of Israel have laid their hands on the Levites,

11. லேவியர் கர்த்தருக்குரிய பணிவிடை செய்யும்பொருட்டு, ஆரோன் அவர்களை இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் காணிக்கையாகக் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக அசைவாட்டப்படும் காணிக்கையாய் நிறுத்தக்கடவன்.

11. and Aaron hath waved the Levites -- a wave-offering before Jehovah, from the sons of Israel, and they have been -- for doing the service of Jehovah.

12. அதன்பின் லேவியர் தங்கள் கைகளைக் காளைகளுடைய தலையின்மேல் வைப்பார்களாக; பின்பு நீ லேவியருக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யும்பொருட்டு, கர்த்தருக்கு அவைகளில் ஒன்றைப் பாவநிவாரணபலியாகவும், மற்றொன்றைச் சர்வாங்கதகனபலியாகவும் செலுத்தி,

12. 'And the Levites lay their hands on the head of the bullocks, and make thou the one a sin-offering, and the one a burnt-offering to Jehovah, to atone for the Levites,

13. லேவியரை ஆரோனுக்கும் அவன் குமாரனுக்கும் முன்பாக நிறுத்தி, அவர்களைக் கர்த்தருக்கு அசைவாட்டப்படும் காணிக்கையாக்கி,

13. and thou hast caused the Levites to stand before Aaron, and before his sons, and hast waved them -- a wave-offering to Jehovah;

14. இப்படி நீ லேவியரை இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரிலிருந்து பிரித்தெடுக்கக்கடவாய்; லேவியர் என்னுடையவர்களாயிருப்பார்கள்.

14. and thou hast separated the Levites from the midst of the sons of Israel, and the Levites have become Mine;

15. இப்படி அவர்களைச் சுத்திகரித்து, அவர்களை அசைவாட்டும் காணிக்கையாக்கக்கடவாய்; அதன்பின்பு லேவியர் ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்தில் பணிவிடை செய்யப் பிரவேசிக்கக்கடவர்கள்.

15. and afterwards do the Levites come in to serve the tent of meeting, and thou hast cleansed them, and hast waved them -- a wave-offering.

16. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரிலிருந்து அவர்கள் எனக்கு முற்றிலும் கொடுக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்கள்; இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் எல்லாரிலும் கர்ப்பந்திறந்து பிறக்கிற சகல முதற்பேறுக்கும் பதிலாக அவர்களை எனக்கு எடுத்துக்கொண்டேன்.

16. 'For they are certainly given to Me out of the midst of the sons of Israel, instead of him who openeth any womb -- the first-born of all -- from the sons of Israel I have taken them to Myself;

17. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரில் மனிதரிலும் மிருகஜீவன்களிலும் முதற்பேறானதெல்லாம் என்னுடையது; நான் எகிப்துதேசத்திலே முதற்பேறான யாவையும் சங்கரித்த நாளிலே அவைகளை எனக்கென்று பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தி,

17. for Mine [is] every first-born among the sons of Israel, among man and among beast; in the day of my smiting every first-born in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for Myself;

18. பின்பு லேவியரை இஸ்ரவேல் புத்தரரிலுள்ள முதற்பேறு சகலத்திற்கும் பதிலாக எடுத்துக்கொண்டு,

18. and I take the Levites instead of every first-born among the sons of Israel:

19. லேவியர் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய பணிவிடையை ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்தில் செய்யும்படிக்கும், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யும்படிக்கும், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் தாங்களே பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தில் சேருகிறதினால் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரில் வாதையுண்டாகாதபடிக்கும், லேவியரை அவர்களிலிருந்து எடுத்து, ஆரோனுக்கும் அவன் குமாரருக்கும் தத்தமாகக் கொடுத்தேன் என்றார்.

19. 'And I give the Levites gifts to Aaron and to his sons, from the midst of the sons of Israel, to do the service of the sons of Israel in the tent of meeting, and to make atonement for the sons of Israel, and there is no plague among the sons of Israel in the sons of Israel's drawing nigh unto the sanctuary.'

20. அப்பொழுது மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் சபையார் யாவரும் கர்த்தர் லேவியரைக்குறித்து மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியெல்லாம் லேவியருக்குச் செய்தார்கள்.

20. And Moses doth -- Aaron also, and all the company of the sons of Israel -- to the Levites according to all that Jehovah hath commanded Moses concerning the Levites; so have the sons of Israel done to them.

21. லேவியர் சுத்திகரிக்கப்பட்டு, தங்கள் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்த்தார்கள்; பின்பு ஆரோன் அவர்களைக் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக அசைவாட்டும் காணிக்கையாக நிறுத்தி, அவர்களைச் சுத்திகரிக்க அவர்களுக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்தான்.

21. And the Levites cleanse themselves, and wash their garments, and Aaron waveth them a wave-offering before Jehovah, and Aaron maketh atonement for them to cleanse them,

22. அதற்குப்பின்பு லேவியர் ஆரோனுக்கும் அவன் குமாரருக்கும் முன்பாக ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்தில் தங்கள் பணிவிடையைச் செய்யும்படி பிரவேசித்தார்கள்; கர்த்தர் லேவியரைக்குறித்து மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே அவர்களுக்குச் செய்தார்கள்.

22. and afterwards have the Levites gone in to do their service in the tent of meeting, before Aaron and before his sons; as Jehovah hath commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they have done to them.

23. பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

23. And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

24. லேவியருக்குரிய கட்டளை என்னவென்றால்: இருபத்தைந்து வயதுமுதல் அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட வயதுள்ள யாவரும் ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்தின் பணிவிடையைச் செய்யும் சேனையிலே சேவிக்க வரவேண்டும்.

24. 'This [is] that which [is] the Levites': from a son of five and twenty years and upward he doth go in to serve the host in the service of the tent of meeting,

25. ஐம்பது வயதுக்கு மேற்பட்டவர்கள் வேலைசெய்யாமல் திருப்பணி சேனையை விட்டு,

25. and from a son of fifty years he doth return from the host of the service, and doth not serve any more,

26. ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்தின் காவலைக்காக்கிறதற்குத் தங்கள் சகோதரரோடேகூட ஊழியஞ்செய்வதேயன்றி, வேறொரு சேவகமும் செய்யவேண்டியதில்லை; இப்படி லேவியர் செய்யவேண்டிய வேலைகளைக்குறித்துத் திட்டம்பண்ணக்கடவாய் என்றார்.

26. and he hath ministered with his brethren in the tent of meeting, to keep the charge, and doth not do service; thus thou dost to the Levites concerning their charge.'
