1. இஸ்ரவேலர் எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட இரண்டாம் வருஷம் இரண்டாம் மாதம் முதல் தேதியில், கர்த்தர் சீனாய் வனாந்தரத்திலிருக்கிற ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்திலே மோசேயை நோக்கி:

1. And Jehovah spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

2. நீங்கள் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் முழுச்சபையாயிருக்கிற அவர்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய வீட்டு வம்சங்களிலுள்ள புருஷர்களாகிய சகல தலைகளையும் பேர்பேராக எண்ணித் தொகையேற்றுங்கள்.

2. Take the sum of all the congregation of the sons of Israel, according to their families, by their fathers' house, with the number of names, every male by their heads,

3. இஸ்ரவேலிலே இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்துக்குப் புறப்படத்தக்கவர்கள் எல்லாரையும் அவர்கள் சேனைகளின்படி நீயும் ஆரோனும் எண்ணிப் பார்ப்பீர்களாக.

3. from twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel. You and Aaron shall number them by their armies.

4. ஒவ்வொரு கோத்திரத்துக்கு ஒவ்வொரு மனிதன் உங்களோடே இருப்பானாக; அவன் தன் பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்துக்குத் தலைவனாயிருக்கவேண்டும்.

4. And with you there shall be a man of every tribe, each one head of the house of his fathers.

5. உங்களோடே நிற்கவேண்டிய மனிதருடைய நாமங்களாவன: ரூபன் கோத்திரத்தில் சேதேயூருடைய குமாரன் எலிசூர்.

5. And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of Reuben, Elizur, the son of Shedeur;

6. சிமியோன் கோத்திரத்தில் சூரிஷதாயின் குமாரன் செலூமியேல்.

6. of Simeon, Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai;

7. யூதா கோத்திரத்தில் அம்மினதாபின் குமாரன் நகசோன்.

7. of Judah, Nahshon the son of Amminadab;

8. இசக்கார் கோத்திரத்தில் சூவாரின் குமாரன் நெதனெயேல்.

8. of Issachar, Nethaneel the son of Zuar;

9. செபுலோன் கோத்திரத்தில் ஏலோனின் குமாரன் எலியாப்.

9. of Zebulun, Eliab the son of Helon;

10. யோசேப்பின் குமாரராகிய எப்பிராயீம் கோத்திரத்தில் அம்மியூதின் குமாரன் எலிஷாமா; மனாசே கோத்திரத்தில் பெதாசூரின் குமாரன் கமாலியேல்.

10. of the sons of Joseph; of Ephraim, Elishama the son of Ammihud; of Manasseh, Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur;

11. பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்தில் கீதெயோனின் குமாரன் அபீதான்.

11. of Benjamin, Abidan the son of Gideoni;

12. தாண் கோத்திரத்தில் அம்மீஷதாயின் குமாரன் அகியேசேர்.

12. of Dan, Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai;

13. ஆசேர் கோத்திரத்தில் ஓகிரானின் குமாரன் பாகியேல்.

13. of Asher, Pagiel the son of Ocran;

14. காத் கோத்திரத்தில் தேகுவேலின் குமாரன் எலியாசாப்.

14. of Gad, Eliasaph the son of Reuel;

15. நப்தலி கோத்திரத்தில் ஏனானின் குமாரன் அகீரா.

15. of Naphtali, Ahira the son of Enan.

16. These were the noted ones of the congregation, rulers of the tribes of their fathers, heads of thousands in Israel.

17. அப்படியே மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் பேர்பேராகக் குறிக்கப்பட்ட இந்த மனிதரைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு,

17. And Moses and Aaron took these men who are called by name.

18. இரண்டாம் மாதம் முதல் தேதியில் சபையார் எல்லாரையும் கூடிவரச்செய்தார்கள். அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் தங்கள்தங்கள் குடும்பத்தின்படிக்கும், பிதாக்களுடைய வம்சத்தின்படிக்கும், நாமத்தொகையின்படிக்கும், இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் தலைதலையாகத் தங்கள் வம்ச உற்பத்தியைத் தெரிவித்தார்கள்.

18. And they gathered all the congregation on the first day of the second month. And they declared their pedigrees according to their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their heads.

19. இப்படிக் கர்த்தர் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, மோசே அவர்களைச் சீனாய் வனாந்தரத்தில் எண்ணிப்பார்த்தான்.

19. As Jehovah commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.

20. இஸ்ரவேலின் மூத்தகுமாரனாகிய ரூபன் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் தலைதலையாக எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

20. And the sons of Reuben, Israel's first-born son, by their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of the names, by their heads, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war:

21. ரூபன் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், நாற்பத்தாறாயிரத்து ஐந்நூறுபேர்.

21. those numbered of them, of the tribe of Reuben were forty-six thousand, five hundred.

22. சிமியோன் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் தலைதலையாக எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

22. Of the sons of Simeon, by their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' house, those that were numbered of them, according to the number of the names, by their heads, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war:

23. சிமியோன் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், ஐம்பத்தொன்பதினாயிரத்து முந்நூறுபேர்.

23. those numbered of them, of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty-nine thousand, three hundred.

24. காத் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

24. Of the sons of Gad, by their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war:

25. காத் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், நாற்பத்தையாயிரத்து அறுநூற்று ஐம்பதுபேர்.

25. those numbered of the tribe of Gad, were forty-five thousand, six hundred and fifty.

26. யூதா புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

26. Of the sons of Judah, by their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all able to go forth to war:

27. யூதா கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், எழுபத்து நாலாயிரத்து அறுநூறுபேர்.

27. those numbered of them, of the tribe of Judah, were seventy-four thousand, six hundred.

28. இசக்கார் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

28. Of the sons of Issachar, by their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war:

29. இசக்கார் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள் ஐம்பத்து நாலாயிரத்து நானூறுபேர்.

29. those numbered of them, of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty-four thousand, four hundred.

30. செபுலோன் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

30. Of the sons of Zebulun, by their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war:

31. செபுலோன் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், ஐம்பத்தேழாயிரத்து நானூறுபேர்.

31. those numbered of them, of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty-seven thousand, four hundred.

32. யோசேப்பின் குமாரரில் எப்பிராயீம் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

32. Of the sons of Joseph, of the sons of Ephraim, by their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war:

33. எப்பிராயீம் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், நாற்பதினாயிரத்து ஐந்நூறுபேர்.

33. those numbered of them, of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand, five hundred.

34. மனாசே புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

34. Of the sons of Manasseh, by their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war:

35. மனாசே கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், முப்பத்தீராயிரத்து இருநூறுபேர்.

35. those numbered of them, of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty-two thousand, two hundred.

36. பென்யமீன் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

36. Of the sons of Benjamin, by their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war:

37. பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், முப்பத்தையாயிரத்து நானூறுபேர்.

37. those numbered of them, of the tribe of Benjamin, were thirty-five thousand, four hundred.

38. தாண் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

38. Of the sons of Dan, by their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war:

39. தாண் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், அறுபத்தீராயிரத்து எழுநூறுபேர்.

39. those numbered of them, of the tribe of Dan, were sixty-two thousand, seven hundred.

40. ஆசேர் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

40. Of the sons of Asher, by their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war:

41. ஆசேர் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், நாற்பத்தோராயிரத்து ஐந்நூறுபேர்.

41. those numbered of them, of the tribe of Asher, were forty-one thousand, five hundred.

42. நப்தலி புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

42. Of the sons of Naphtali, by their generations, according to their families, by their fathers' house, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war:

43. நப்தலி கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், ஐம்பத்து மூவாயிரத்து நானூறுபேர்.

43. those were numbered of them, of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty-three thousand, four hundred.

44. எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள் இவர்களே; மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் இஸ்ரவேலுடைய பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்தில் ஒவ்வொரு வம்சத்துக்கு ஒவ்வொரு பிரபுவாகிய பன்னிரண்டுபேரும் எண்ணினார்கள்.

44. These are those who were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, and the rulers of Israel being twelve men. Each one was for the house of his fathers.

45. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்தில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல், இஸ்ரவேலில் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்கவர்களாகிய எண்ணப்பட்ட பேர்கள் எல்லாரும்,

45. And all those that were numbered of the sons of Israel, by their fathers' house, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Israel:

46. ஆறுலட்சத்து மூவாயிரத்து ஐந்நூற்று ஐம்பது பேராயிருந்தார்கள்.

46. even all those who were numbered were six hundred three thousand, five hundred and fifty.

47. லேவியர் தங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய கோத்திரத்தின்படியே, மற்றவர்களுடனே எண்ணப்படவில்லை.

47. But the Levites, according to the tribe of their fathers, were not numbered among them.

48. கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

48. For Jehovah had spoken to Moses saying,

49. நீ லேவி கோத்திரத்தாரை மாத்திரம் எண்ணாமலும், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குள்ளே அவர்கள் தொகையை ஏற்றாமலும்,

49. Only you shall not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the sons of Israel.

50. லேவியரைச் சாட்சியின் வாசஸ்தலத்திற்கும், அதினுடைய சகல பணிமுட்டுகளுக்கும், அதிலுள்ள சமஸ்த பொருள்களுக்கும் விசாரிப்புக்காரராக ஏற்படுத்து; அவர்கள் வாசஸ்தலத்தையும் அதின் சகல பணிமுட்டுகளையும் சுமப்பார்களாக; அதினிடத்தில் ஊழியம் செய்து, வாசஸ்தலத்தைச் சுற்றிலும் பாளயமிறங்கக்கடவர்கள்.

50. But you shall set the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all its vessels, and over all its things. They shall carry the tabernacle and all its vessels. And they shall serve it, and shall camp around the tabernacle.

51. And when the tabernacle sets forth, the Levites shall take it down. And when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up. And the stranger who comes near shall die.

52. And the sons of Israel shall pitch their tents, each man by his own camp, and each man by his own banner, throughout their armies.

53. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரராகிய சபையின்மேல் கடுங்கோபம் வராதபடிக்கு லேவியர் சாட்சியின் வாசஸ்தலத்தைச் சுற்றிலும் பாளயமிறங்கி, லேவியர் சாட்சியின் வாசஸ்தலத்தைக் காவல்காப்பார்களாக என்றார்.

53. But the Levites shall pitch around the tabernacle of testimony, so that there may be no wrath upon the congregation of the sons of Israel. And the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.

54. கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடி எல்லாவற்றையும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் செய்தார்கள்.

54. And the sons of Israel did according to all that Jehovah commanded Moses. So they did.
