1. கர்த்தாவே, உமது செவியைச் சாய்த்து, என் விண்ணப்பத்தைக் கேட்டருளும்; நான் சிறுமையும் எளிமையுமானவன்.

1. [A prayer of Dauid.] Bow downe thine eare O God, and heare me: for I am poore and in miserie.

2. என் ஆத்துமாவைக் காத்தருளும், நான் பக்தியுள்ளவன்; என் தேவனே, உம்மை நம்பியிருக்கிற உமது அடியேனை நீர் இரட்சியும்.

2. Preserue thou my soule, for I am holy: my God saue thy seruaunt that putteth his trust in thee.

3. ஆண்டவரே, எனக்கு இரங்கும், நாடோறும் உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறேன்.

3. Be mercifull vnto me O God: for I do call dayly vpon thee.

4. உமது அடியேனுடைய ஆத்துமாவை மகிழ்ச்சியாக்கும்; ஆண்டவரே, உம்மிடத்தில் என் ஆத்துமாவை உயர்த்துகிறேன்.

4. Comfort the soule of thy seruaunt: for vnto thee O Lord do I lift vp my soule.

5. ஆண்டவரே, நீர் நல்லவரும், மன்னிக்கிறவரும், உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிற யாவர்மேலும் கிருபை மிகுந்தவருமாயிருக்கிறீர்.

5. For thou Lorde art good and gracious: and of great mercy vnto all them that call vpon thee.

6. கர்த்தாவே, என் ஜெபத்திற்குச் செவிகொடுத்து, என் விண்ணப்பங்களின் சத்தத்தைத் கவனியும்.

6. Geue eare O God vnto my prayer: and be attentiue vnto the voyce of my humble petitions.

7. நான் துயரப்படுகிற நாளில் உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுவேன்; நீர் என்னைக் கேட்டருளுவீர்.

7. I call vpon thee in the day of my trouble: for thou hearest me.

8. ஆண்டவரே, தேவர்களுக்குள்ளே உமக்கு நிகருமில்லை; உம்முடைய கிரியைகளுக்கு ஒப்புமில்லை.

8. Among the gods there is none like vnto thee O Lorde: there is not one that can do as thou doest.

9. ஆண்டவரே, நீர் உண்டாக்கின எல்லா ஜாதிகளும் வந்து, உமக்கு முன்பாகப் பணிந்து, உமது நாமத்தை மகிமைப்படுத்துவார்கள்.

9. All nations whom thou hast made, shall come and worship thee O Lorde: and shall glorifie thy name.

10. தேவரீர் மகத்துவமுள்ளவரும் அதிசயங்களைச் செய்கிறவருமாயிருக்கிறீர்; நீர் ஒருவரே தேவன்.

10. For thou art great and doest wonderous thinges: thou art God alone.

11. கர்த்தாவே, உமது வழியை எனக்குப் போதியும், நான் உமது சத்தியத்திலே நடப்பேன்; நான் உமது நாமத்திற்குப் பயந்திருக்கும்படி என் இருதயத்தை ஒருமுகப்படுத்தும்.

11. Teache me thy way O God, and I wyll walke in thy trueth: make my heart all one with thyne, that it may feare thy name.

12. என் தேவனாகிய ஆண்டவரே; உம்மை என் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் துதித்து, உமது நாமத்தை என்றென்றைக்கும் மகிமைப்படுத்துவேன்.

12. I wyll acknowledge thee O Lorde my God with all my heart: and I wyl glorifie thy name for euer.

13. நீர் எனக்குப் பாராட்டின உமது கிருபை பெரியது; என் ஆத்துமாவைத் தாழ்ந்த பாதாளத்திற்குத் தப்புவித்தீர்.

13. For great is thy mercy towarde me: and thou hast deliuered my soule from the lowest [part of] hell.

14. தேவனே, அகங்காரிகள் எனக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்புகிறார்கள், கொடுமைக்காரராகிய கூட்டத்தார் என் பிராணனை வாங்கத் தேடுகிறார்கள், உம்மைத் தங்களுக்கு முன்பாக நிறுத்தி நோக்காதிருக்கிறார்கள்.

14. O God, the proude are rysen against me: a companie of outragious naughtipackes haue sought after my soule, and haue not set thee before their eyes.

15. ஆனாலும் ஆண்டவரே, நீர் மனவுருக்கமும், இரக்கமும், நீடிய பொறுமையும், பூரண கிருபையும், சத்தியமுமுள்ள தேவன்.

15. But thou O Lorde art a God full of compassion and mercy: long yet thou be angry, plenteous in goodnes and trueth.

16. என்மேல் நோக்கமாகி, எனக்கு இரங்கும்; உமது வல்லமையை உமது அடியானுக்கு அருளி, உமது அடியாளின் குமாரனை இரட்சியும்.

16. Turne thy face vnto me, and haue mercy vpon me: geue thy strength vnto thy seruaunt, and helpe the sonne of thine handmayde.

17. கர்த்தாவே, நீர் எனக்குத் துணைசெய்து என்னைத் தேற்றுகிறதை என் பகைஞர் கண்டு வெட்கப்படும்படிக்கு, எனக்கு அநுகூலமாக ஒரு அடையாளத்தைக் காண்பித்தருளும்.

17. Shewe some good token of thy fauour towardes me, that they whiche hate me may see it and be ashamed: because thou God hast helped me, and comforted me.
