1. கர்த்தாவே, உமது செவியைச் சாய்த்து, என் விண்ணப்பத்தைக் கேட்டருளும்; நான் சிறுமையும் எளிமையுமானவன்.

1. Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me, for I [am] poor and needy.

2. என் ஆத்துமாவைக் காத்தருளும், நான் பக்தியுள்ளவன்; என் தேவனே, உம்மை நம்பியிருக்கிற உமது அடியேனை நீர் இரட்சியும்.

2. Preserve my soul; for I [am] merciful, O thou my God, save thy servant that trusts in thee.

3. ஆண்டவரே, எனக்கு இரங்கும், நாடோறும் உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறேன்.

3. Be merciful unto me, O Lord, for I cry unto thee daily.

4. உமது அடியேனுடைய ஆத்துமாவை மகிழ்ச்சியாக்கும்; ஆண்டவரே, உம்மிடத்தில் என் ஆத்துமாவை உயர்த்துகிறேன்.

4. Rejoice the soul of thy servant, for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

5. ஆண்டவரே, நீர் நல்லவரும், மன்னிக்கிறவரும், உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிற யாவர்மேலும் கிருபை மிகுந்தவருமாயிருக்கிறீர்.

5. For thou, Lord, [art] good and ready to forgive and plenteous in mercy unto all those that call upon thee.

6. கர்த்தாவே, என் ஜெபத்திற்குச் செவிகொடுத்து, என் விண்ணப்பங்களின் சத்தத்தைத் கவனியும்.

6. Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer and attend to the voice of my supplications.

7. நான் துயரப்படுகிற நாளில் உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுவேன்; நீர் என்னைக் கேட்டருளுவீர்.

7. In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee, for thou wilt answer me.

8. ஆண்டவரே, தேவர்களுக்குள்ளே உமக்கு நிகருமில்லை; உம்முடைய கிரியைகளுக்கு ஒப்புமில்லை.

8. Among the gods [there is] none like unto thee, O Lord, neither is there any other who does thy works.

9. ஆண்டவரே, நீர் உண்டாக்கின எல்லா ஜாதிகளும் வந்து, உமக்கு முன்பாகப் பணிந்து, உமது நாமத்தை மகிமைப்படுத்துவார்கள்.

9. All the Gentiles whom thou hast made shall come and humble themselves before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.

10. தேவரீர் மகத்துவமுள்ளவரும் அதிசயங்களைச் செய்கிறவருமாயிருக்கிறீர்; நீர் ஒருவரே தேவன்.

10. For thou [art] great and doest wondrous things; thou alone [art] God.

11. கர்த்தாவே, உமது வழியை எனக்குப் போதியும், நான் உமது சத்தியத்திலே நடப்பேன்; நான் உமது நாமத்திற்குப் பயந்திருக்கும்படி என் இருதயத்தை ஒருமுகப்படுத்தும்.

11. Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth; firm up my heart that I might fear thy name.

12. என் தேவனாகிய ஆண்டவரே; உம்மை என் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் துதித்து, உமது நாமத்தை என்றென்றைக்கும் மகிமைப்படுத்துவேன்.

12. I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

13. நீர் எனக்குப் பாராட்டின உமது கிருபை பெரியது; என் ஆத்துமாவைத் தாழ்ந்த பாதாளத்திற்குத் தப்புவித்தீர்.

13. For great [is] thy mercy upon me, and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest [part of] Sheol.

14. தேவனே, அகங்காரிகள் எனக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்புகிறார்கள், கொடுமைக்காரராகிய கூட்டத்தார் என் பிராணனை வாங்கத் தேடுகிறார்கள், உம்மைத் தங்களுக்கு முன்பாக நிறுத்தி நோக்காதிருக்கிறார்கள்.

14. O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent [men] have sought after my soul and have not set thee before them.

15. ஆனாலும் ஆண்டவரே, நீர் மனவுருக்கமும், இரக்கமும், நீடிய பொறுமையும், பூரண கிருபையும், சத்தியமுமுள்ள தேவன்.

15. But thou, O Lord, [art] a merciful and gracious God, longsuffering and plenteous in mercy and truth.

16. என்மேல் நோக்கமாகி, எனக்கு இரங்கும்; உமது வல்லமையை உமது அடியானுக்கு அருளி, உமது அடியாளின் குமாரனை இரட்சியும்.

16. O look into me and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant and keep the son of thine handmaid.

17. கர்த்தாவே, நீர் எனக்குத் துணைசெய்து என்னைத் தேற்றுகிறதை என் பகைஞர் கண்டு வெட்கப்படும்படிக்கு, எனக்கு அநுகூலமாக ஒரு அடையாளத்தைக் காண்பித்தருளும்.

17. Show me a token for good that those who hate me may see [it] and be ashamed because thou, O LORD, hast helped me and comforted me.:
