1. நீதிமான்களே, கர்த்தருக்குள் களிகூருங்கள்; துதிசெய்வது செம்மையானவர்களுக்குத் தகும்.

1. Be glad in the Lord, O doers of righteousness; for praise is beautiful for the upright.

2. சுரமண்டலத்தினால் கர்த்தரைத் துதித்து, பத்து நரம்பு வீணையினாலும் அவரைக் கீர்த்தனம் பண்ணுங்கள்.

2. Give praise to the Lord on the corded instrument; make melody to him with instruments of music.

3. அவருக்குப் புதுப்பாட்டைப் பாடுங்கள்; ஆனந்த சத்தத்தோடே வாத்தியங்களை நேர்த்தியாய் வாசியுங்கள்.

3. Make a new song to him; playing expertly with a loud noise.

4. கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை உத்தமமும், அவருடைய செய்கையெல்லாம் சத்தியமுமாயிருக்கிறது.

4. For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his works are certain.

5. அவர் நீதியிலும் நியாயத்திலும் பிரியப்படுகிறார்; பூமி கர்த்தருடைய காருணியத்தினால் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது.

5. His delight is in righteousness and wisdom; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.

6. கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையினால் வானங்களும், அவருடைய வாயின் சுவாசத்தினால் அவைகளின் சர்வசேனையும் உண்டாக்கப்பட்டது.

6. By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the army of heaven by the breath of his mouth.

7. He makes the waters of the sea come together in a mass; he keeps the deep seas in store-houses.

8. பூமியெல்லாம் கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுவதாக; உலகத்திலுள்ள குடிகளெல்லாம் அவருக்கு அஞ்சியிருப்பதாக.

8. Let the earth be full of the fear of the Lord; let all the people of the world be in holy fear of him.

9. அவர் சொல்ல ஆகும், அவர் கட்டளையிட நிற்கும்.

9. For he gave the word, and it was done; by his order it was fixed for ever.

10. கர்த்தர் ஜாதிகளின் ஆலோசனையை விருதாவாக்கி, ஜனங்களுடைய நினைவுகளை அவமாக்குகிறார்.

10. The Lord undoes the designs of the nations; he makes the thoughts of the peoples without effect.

11. கர்த்தருடைய ஆலோசனை நித்தியகாலமாகவும், அவருடைய இருதயத்தின் நினைவுகள் தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாகவும் நிற்கும்.

11. The Lord's purpose is eternal, the designs of his heart go on through all the generations of man.

12. கர்த்தரைத் தங்களுக்குத் தெய்வமாகக்கொண்ட ஜாதியும், அவர் தமக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகத் தெரிந்துகொண்ட ஜனமும் பாக்கியமுள்ளது.

12. Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he has taken for his heritage.

13. கர்த்தர் வானத்திலிருந்து நோக்கிப்பார்த்து, எல்லா மனுபுத்திரரையும் காண்கிறார்.

13. The Lord is looking down from heaven; he sees all the sons of men;

14. தாம் வாசமாயிருக்கிற ஸ்தானத்திலிருந்து பூமியின் குடிகள் எல்லார்மேலும் கண்ணோக்கமாயிருக்கிறார்.

14. From his house he keeps watch on all who are living on the earth;

15. அவர்களுடைய இருதயங்களையெல்லாம் அவர் உருவாக்கி, அவர்கள் செய்கைகளையெல்லாம் கவனித்திருக்கிறார்.

15. He makes all their hearts; their works are clear to him.

16. எந்த ராஜாவும் தன் சேனையின் மிகுதியால் இரட்சிக்கப்படான்; சவுரியவானும் தன் பலத்தின் மிகுதியால் தப்பான்.

16. A king's salvation is not in the power of his army; a strong man does not get free by his great strength.

17. இரட்சிக்கிறதற்குக் குதிரை விருதா; அது தன் மிகுந்த வீரியத்தால் தப்புவியாது.

17. A horse is a false hope; his great power will not make any man free from danger.

18. தமக்குப் பயந்து, தமது கிருபைக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறவர்களின் ஆத்துமாக்களை மரணத்திற்கு விலக்கி விடுவிக்கவும்;

18. See, the eye of the Lord is on those in whose hearts is the fear of him, on those whose hope is in his mercy;

19. பஞ்சத்தில் அவர்களை உயிரோடே காக்கவும், கர்த்தருடைய கண் அவர்கள்மேல் நோக்கமாயிருக்கிறது.

19. To keep their souls from death; and to keep them living in time of need.

20. நம்முடைய ஆத்துமா கர்த்தருக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறது; அவரே நமக்குத் துணையும் நமக்குக் கேடகமுமானவர்.

20. Our souls are waiting for the Lord; he is our help and our salvation.

21. அவருடைய பரிசுத்த நாமத்தை நாம் நம்பியிருக்கிறபடியால், நம்முடைய இருதயம் அவருக்குள் களிகூரும்.

21. For in him our hearts have joy; in his holy name is our hope.

22. கர்த்தாவே, நாங்கள் உம்மை நம்பியிருக்கிறபடியே உமது கிருபை எங்கள்மேல் இருப்பதாக.

22. Let your mercy be on us, O Lord, as we are waiting for you.
