1. நீதிமான்களே, கர்த்தருக்குள் களிகூருங்கள்; துதிசெய்வது செம்மையானவர்களுக்குத் தகும்.

1. Shout for joy, you upright; praise comes well from the honest.

2. சுரமண்டலத்தினால் கர்த்தரைத் துதித்து, பத்து நரம்பு வீணையினாலும் அவரைக் கீர்த்தனம் பண்ணுங்கள்.

2. Give thanks to Yahweh on the lyre, play for him on the ten-stringed lyre.

3. அவருக்குப் புதுப்பாட்டைப் பாடுங்கள்; ஆனந்த சத்தத்தோடே வாத்தியங்களை நேர்த்தியாய் வாசியுங்கள்.

3. Sing to him a new song, make sweet music for your cry of victory.

4. கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை உத்தமமும், அவருடைய செய்கையெல்லாம் சத்தியமுமாயிருக்கிறது.

4. The word of Yahweh is straightforward, all he does springs from his constancy.

5. அவர் நீதியிலும் நியாயத்திலும் பிரியப்படுகிறார்; பூமி கர்த்தருடைய காருணியத்தினால் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது.

5. He loves uprightness and justice; the faithful love of Yahweh fills the earth.

6. கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையினால் வானங்களும், அவருடைய வாயின் சுவாசத்தினால் அவைகளின் சர்வசேனையும் உண்டாக்கப்பட்டது.

6. By the word of Yahweh the heavens were made, by the breath of his mouth all their array.

7. He collects the waters of the sea like a dam, he stores away the abyss in his treasure-house.

8. பூமியெல்லாம் கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுவதாக; உலகத்திலுள்ள குடிகளெல்லாம் அவருக்கு அஞ்சியிருப்பதாக.

8. Let the whole earth fear Yahweh, let all who dwell in the world revere him;

9. அவர் சொல்ல ஆகும், அவர் கட்டளையிட நிற்கும்.

9. for, the moment he spoke, it was so, no sooner had he commanded, than there it stood!

10. கர்த்தர் ஜாதிகளின் ஆலோசனையை விருதாவாக்கி, ஜனங்களுடைய நினைவுகளை அவமாக்குகிறார்.

10. Yahweh thwarts the plans of nations, frustrates the counsels of peoples;

11. கர்த்தருடைய ஆலோசனை நித்தியகாலமாகவும், அவருடைய இருதயத்தின் நினைவுகள் தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாகவும் நிற்கும்.

11. but Yahweh's own plan stands firm for ever, his heart's counsel from age to age.

12. கர்த்தரைத் தங்களுக்குத் தெய்வமாகக்கொண்ட ஜாதியும், அவர் தமக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகத் தெரிந்துகொண்ட ஜனமும் பாக்கியமுள்ளது.

12. How blessed the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people he has chosen as his heritage.

13. கர்த்தர் வானத்திலிருந்து நோக்கிப்பார்த்து, எல்லா மனுபுத்திரரையும் காண்கிறார்.

13. From heaven Yahweh looks down, he sees all the children of Adam,

14. தாம் வாசமாயிருக்கிற ஸ்தானத்திலிருந்து பூமியின் குடிகள் எல்லார்மேலும் கண்ணோக்கமாயிருக்கிறார்.

14. from the place where he sits he watches all who dwell on the earth;

15. அவர்களுடைய இருதயங்களையெல்லாம் அவர் உருவாக்கி, அவர்கள் செய்கைகளையெல்லாம் கவனித்திருக்கிறார்.

15. he alone moulds their hearts, he understands all they do.

16. எந்த ராஜாவும் தன் சேனையின் மிகுதியால் இரட்சிக்கப்படான்; சவுரியவானும் தன் பலத்தின் மிகுதியால் தப்பான்.

16. A large army will not keep a king safe, nor his strength save a warrior's life;

17. இரட்சிக்கிறதற்குக் குதிரை விருதா; அது தன் மிகுந்த வீரியத்தால் தப்புவியாது.

17. it is delusion to rely on a horse for safety, for all its power it cannot save.

18. தமக்குப் பயந்து, தமது கிருபைக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறவர்களின் ஆத்துமாக்களை மரணத்திற்கு விலக்கி விடுவிக்கவும்;

18. But see how Yahweh watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his faithful love,

19. பஞ்சத்தில் அவர்களை உயிரோடே காக்கவும், கர்த்தருடைய கண் அவர்கள்மேல் நோக்கமாயிருக்கிறது.

19. to rescue them from death and keep them alive in famine.

20. நம்முடைய ஆத்துமா கர்த்தருக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறது; அவரே நமக்குத் துணையும் நமக்குக் கேடகமுமானவர்.

20. We are waiting for Yahweh; he is our help and our shield,

21. அவருடைய பரிசுத்த நாமத்தை நாம் நம்பியிருக்கிறபடியால், நம்முடைய இருதயம் அவருக்குள் களிகூரும்.

21. for in him our heart rejoices, in his holy name we trust.

22. கர்த்தாவே, நாங்கள் உம்மை நம்பியிருக்கிறபடியே உமது கிருபை எங்கள்மேல் இருப்பதாக.

22. Yahweh, let your faithful love rest on us, as our hope has rested in you.
