1. அல்லேலூயா, கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் நல்லவர், அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

1. Praise the Lord! O give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His loving-kindness lasts forever.

2. கர்த்தருடைய வல்லமையான செய்கைகளைச் சொல்லி, அவருடைய துதியையெல்லாம் பிரஸ்தாபப்படுத்தத்தக்கவன் யார்?

2. Who can put into words the great works of the Lord? Who can make known all His praise?

3. நியாயத்தைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களும், எக்காலத்திலும் நீதியைச் செய்கிறவர்களும் பாக்கியவான்கள்.

3. Happy are those who are faithful in being fair and who always do what is right and good!

4. கர்த்தாவே, நீர் தெரிந்துகொண்டவர்களின் நன்மையை நான் கண்டு, உம்முடைய ஜாதியின் மகிழ்ச்சியால் மகிழ்ந்து, உம்முடைய சுதந்தரத்தோடே மேன்மைபாராட்டும்படிக்கு,

4. O Lord, remember me when You show favor to Your people. Visit me also when You save them.

5. உம்முடைய ஜனங்களுக்கு நீர் பாராட்டும் கிருபையின்படி என்னை நினைத்து, உம்முடைய இரட்சிப்பினால் என்னைச் சந்தித்தருளும்.

5. So I may share in the well-being of Your chosen ones. So I may share in the joy of Your nation, and be proud of Your people.

6. எங்கள் பிதாக்களோடுங்கூட நாங்களும் பாவஞ்செய்து, அக்கிரமம் நடப்பித்து, ஆகாமியம் பண்ணினோம்.

6. We have sinned like our fathers. We have done wrong. We have been sinful in our actions.

7. எங்கள் பிதாக்கள் எகிப்திலே உம்முடைய அதிசயங்களை உணராமலும், உம்முடைய கிருபைகளின் திரட்சியை நினையாமலும் போய், சிவந்த சமுத்திர ஓரத்திலே கலகம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

7. Our fathers in Egypt did not understand Your powerful works. They did not remember how many times You showed Your loving-kindness. But they turned against You by the sea, the Red Sea.

8. ஆனாலும் அவர் தமது வல்லமையை வெளிப்படுத்தும்படி, தம்முடைய நாமத்தினிமித்தம் அவர்களை இரட்சித்தார்.

8. Yet He saved them because of the honor of His name, and to make His great power known.

9. அவர் சிவந்த சமுத்திரத்தை அதட்டினார், அது வற்றிப்போயிற்று; வெட்டாந்தரையில் நடக்கிறதுபோல அவர்களை ஆழங்களில் நடந்துபோகப்பண்ணினார்.

9. So He spoke sharp words to the Red Sea and it dried up. And He led them through the sea as through a desert.

10. பகைஞன் கைக்கு அவர்களை விலக்கி இரட்சித்து, சத்துருவின் கைக்கு அவர்களை விலக்கி மீட்டார்.

10. He saved them from the hand of those who hated them. He set them free from the hand of those who went against them.

11. அவர்கள் சத்துருக்களைத் தண்ணீர்கள் மூடிக்கொண்டது; அவர்களில் ஒருவனும் மீந்திருக்கவில்லை.

11. And the waters covered those who hated them. Not one of them was left.

12. அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் அவருடைய வார்த்தைகளை விசுவாசித்து, அவருடைய துதியைப் பாடினார்கள்.

12. Then they believed His promises. They sang His praise.

13. ஆனாலும் சீக்கிரமாய் அவருடைய கிரியைகளை மறந்தார்கள்; அவருடைய ஆலோசனைக்கு அவர்கள் காத்திராமல்,

13. But they soon forgot His works. They did not wait to hear what He wanted them to do.

14. வனாந்தரத்திலே இச்சையுள்ளவர்களாகி, அவாந்தரவெளியிலே தேவனைப் பரீட்சைபார்த்தார்கள்.
1 கொரிந்தியர் 10:6

14. They wanted many things in the desert, and they tempted God there.

15. அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் கேட்டதை அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார், அவர்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களிலோ இளைப்பை அனுப்பினார்.

15. So He gave them what they wanted, but He allowed their souls to become weak because of it.

16. பாளயத்தில் அவர்கள் மோசேயின்மேலும், கர்த்தருடைய பரிசுத்தனாகிய ஆரோனின்மேலும் பொறாமைகொண்டார்கள்.

16. They were jealous of Moses in the place where they set up their tents. And they were jealous of Aaron, the holy one of the Lord.

17. பூமி பிளந்து தாத்தானை விழுங்கி, அபிராமின் கூட்டத்தை மூடிப்போட்டது.

17. So the earth opened up and swallowed Dathan. It closed over the group of Abiram.

18. அவர்கள் கூட்டத்தில் அக்கினி பற்றியெரிந்தது; அக்கினி ஜூவாலை துன்மார்க்கரை எரித்துப்போட்டது.

18. And a fire came among their followers. It burned up the sinful people.

19. அவர்கள் ஓரேபிலே ஒரு கன்றுக்குட்டியையுண்டாக்கி, வார்ப்பிக்கப்பட்ட விக்கிரகத்தை நமஸ்கரித்தார்கள்.

19. They made a calf at Horeb and worshiped a god of gold.

20. தங்கள் மகிமையைப் புல்லைத் தின்கிற மாட்டின் சாயலாக மாற்றினார்கள்.

20. They traded their shining-greatness for something that looked like a bull that eats grass.

21. எகிப்திலே பெரிய கிரியைகளையும், காமின் தேசத்திலே அதிசயங்களையும், சிவந்த சமுத்திரத்தண்டையிலே பயங்கரமானவைகளையும் செய்தவராகிய,

21. They forgot the God Who saved them, Who had done great things in Egypt,

22. தங்கள் இரட்சகரான தேவனை மறந்தார்கள்.

22. powerful works in the land of Ham, and works that brought fear by the Red Sea.

23. ஆகையால், அவர்களை நாசம்பண்ணுவேன் என்றார்; அப்பொழுது அவரால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட மோசே, அவர்களை அவர் அழிக்காதபடிக்கு, அவருடைய உக்கிரத்தை ஆற்றும்பொருட்டு, அவருக்கு முன்பாகத் திறப்பின் வாயிலே நின்றான்.

23. So He said that He would destroy them. But Moses, His chosen one, stood in the way to keep His anger from destroying them.

24. அவருடைய வார்த்தையை விசுவாசியாமல், இச்சிக்கப்படத்தக்க தேசத்தை அசட்டைபண்ணினார்கள்.

24. Then they hated the good land. They did not believe in His Word.

25. கர்த்தருடைய சத்தத்திற்குச் செவிகொடாமல், தங்கள் கூடாரங்களில் முறுமுறுத்தார்கள்.
1 கொரிந்தியர் 10:10

25. But they complained in their tents. They did not listen to the voice of the Lord.

26. அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் வனாந்தரத்திலே மடியவும், அவர்கள் சந்ததி ஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளே அழியவும்,

26. So He swore to them that He would let them die in the desert.

27. அவர்கள் பற்பல தேசங்களிலே சிதறடிக்கப்படவும், அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாகத் தம்முடைய கையை எடுத்தார்.

27. And He would spread out their children among the nations and divide them over all the earth.

28. அவர்கள் பாகால்பேயோரைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டு, ஜீவனில்லாதவைகளுக்கு இட்ட பலிகளைப் புசித்து,

28. They joined themselves to Baal of Peor and ate gifts given to the dead.

29. தங்கள் கிரியைகளினால் அவருக்குக் கோபம் மூட்டினார்கள்; ஆகையால் வாதை அவர்களுக்குள் புகுந்தது.

29. They made the Lord angry by their actions and a sickness broke out among them.

30. அப்பொழுது பினெகாஸ் எழுந்து நின்று நியாயஞ்செய்தான்; அதினால் வாதை நிறுத்தப்பட்டது.

30. Then Phinehas stood up and came between them, and the sickness was stopped.

31. அது தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக என்றைக்கும் அவனுக்கு நீதியாக எண்ணப்பட்டது.

31. And this made him right with God to all people forever.

32. மேரிபாவின் தண்ணீர்களிடத்திலும் அவருக்குக் கடுங்கோபம் மூட்டினார்கள்; அவர்கள் நிமித்தம் மோசேக்கும் பொல்லாப்பு வந்தது.

32. They also made the Lord angry at the waters of Meribah. And trouble came to Moses because of them.

33. அவர்கள் அவன் ஆவியை விசனப்படுத்தினதினாலே, தன் உதடுகளினால் பதறிப்பேசினான்.

33. He spoke from his lips without thinking because they went against the Spirit of God.

34. கர்த்தர் தங்களுக்குச் சொன்னபடி, அவர்கள் அந்த ஜனங்களை அழிக்கவில்லை.

34. They did not destroy the people as the Lord told them to do.

35. ஜாதிகளுடனே கலந்து, அவர்கள் கிரியைகளைக் கற்று;

35. But they mixed with the nations and learned their ways.

36. அவர்களுடைய விக்கிரகங்களைச் சேவித்தார்கள்; அவைகள் அவர்களுக்குக் கண்ணியாயிற்று.

36. They served their gods, which became a trap to them.

37. அவர்கள் தங்கள் குமாரரையும் தங்கள் குமாரத்திகளையும் பிசாசுகளுக்குப் பலியிட்டார்கள்.
1 கொரிந்தியர் 10:20

37. They even gave their sons and daughters as gifts on an altar to the demons.

38. அவர்கள் கானான் தேசத்து விக்கிரகங்களுக்குப் பலியிட்டு, தங்கள் குமாரர் குமாரத்திகளுடைய குற்றமில்லாத இரத்தத்தைச் சிந்தினார்கள்; தேசம் இரத்தத்தால் தீட்டுப்பட்டது.

38. They poured out the blood of those who were not guilty, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they gave on an altar to the gods of Canaan. And the land was poisoned with blood.

39. அவர்கள் தங்கள் கிரியைகளினால் அசுத்தமாகி, தங்கள் செய்கைகளினால் சோரம்போனார்கள்.

39. They made themselves unclean by what they did. They were not true to God in what they did.

40. அதினால் கர்த்தருடைய கோபம் தமது ஜனத்தின்மேல் மூண்டது; அவர் தமது சுதந்தரத்தை அருவருத்தார்.

40. So the Lord was angry with His people. He hated His people.

41. அவர்களை ஜாதிகளுடைய கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; அவர்களுடைய பகைஞர் அவர்களை ஆண்டார்கள்.

41. So He handed them over to the nations. And those who hated them ruled over them.

42. அவர்களுடைய சத்துருக்கள் அவர்களை ஒடுக்கினார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய கையின்கீழ்த் தாழ்த்தப்பட்டார்கள்.

42. Those who hated them held a strong power over them. And they were made to obey them.

43. அநேகந்தரம் அவர்களை விடுவித்தார்; அவர்களோ தங்கள் யோசனையினால் அவருக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கலகம்பண்ணி, தங்களுடைய அக்கிரமத்தினால் சிறுமைப்படுத்தப்பட்டார்கள்.

43. God set them free many times. But they always turned against Him and went deeper into sin.

44. அவர்கள் கூப்பிடுதலை அவர் கேட்கும்போதோ, அவர்களுக்கு உண்டான இடுக்கத்தை அவர் கண்ணோக்கி,

44. But He looked upon their trouble when He heard their cry.

45. அவர்களுக்காகத் தமது உடன்படிக்கையை நினைத்து, தமது மிகுந்த கிருபையின்படி மனஸ்தாபப்பட்டு,

45. He remembered His agreement because of them, and took pity on them by the greatness of His loving-kindness.

46. அவர்களைச் சிறைபிடித்த யாவரும் அவர்களுக்கு இரங்கும்படி செய்தார்.

46. Those who held them also saw how God took pity on them.

47. எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, நாங்கள் உமது பரிசுத்த நாமத்தைப் போற்றி, உம்மைத் துதிக்கிறதில் மேன்மைபாராட்டும்படி எங்களை இரட்சித்து, எங்களை ஜாதிகளிலிருந்து சேர்த்தருளும்.

47. O Lord our God, save us! Gather us from among the nations. And we will give thanks to Your holy name and find honor in Your praise.

48. இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அநாதியாய் என்றென்றைக்கும் ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்படத்தக்கவர். ஜனங்களெல்லாரும்: ஆமென், அல்லேலூயா, என்பார்களாக.

48. Honor and thanks be to the Lord, the God of Israel, forever and ever. Let all the people say, 'Let it be so!' Praise the Lord!
