1. அல்லேலூயா, கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் நல்லவர், அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

1. Praise Jehovah! Give thanks to Jehovah, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.

2. கர்த்தருடைய வல்லமையான செய்கைகளைச் சொல்லி, அவருடைய துதியையெல்லாம் பிரஸ்தாபப்படுத்தத்தக்கவன் யார்?

2. Who can utter the mighty works of Jehovah, or cause all His praise to be heard?

3. நியாயத்தைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களும், எக்காலத்திலும் நீதியைச் செய்கிறவர்களும் பாக்கியவான்கள்.

3. Blessed are those keeping judgment, he who does righteousness in every season.

4. கர்த்தாவே, நீர் தெரிந்துகொண்டவர்களின் நன்மையை நான் கண்டு, உம்முடைய ஜாதியின் மகிழ்ச்சியால் மகிழ்ந்து, உம்முடைய சுதந்தரத்தோடே மேன்மைபாராட்டும்படிக்கு,

4. Remember me, Jehovah, with the favor of Your people; O visit me with Your salvation,

5. உம்முடைய ஜனங்களுக்கு நீர் பாராட்டும் கிருபையின்படி என்னை நினைத்து, உம்முடைய இரட்சிப்பினால் என்னைச் சந்தித்தருளும்.

5. to see the good of joy, Your elect to rejoice in the joy of Your nation, to glory with Your inheritance.

6. எங்கள் பிதாக்களோடுங்கூட நாங்களும் பாவஞ்செய்து, அக்கிரமம் நடப்பித்து, ஆகாமியம் பண்ணினோம்.

6. We have sinned with our fathers; we did iniquity; we did evil.

7. எங்கள் பிதாக்கள் எகிப்திலே உம்முடைய அதிசயங்களை உணராமலும், உம்முடைய கிருபைகளின் திரட்சியை நினையாமலும் போய், சிவந்த சமுத்திர ஓரத்திலே கலகம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

7. Our fathers did not ponder Your wonders in Egypt; they did not remember Your many mercies, and they rebelled at the sea, at the Sea of Reeds.

8. ஆனாலும் அவர் தமது வல்லமையை வெளிப்படுத்தும்படி, தம்முடைய நாமத்தினிமித்தம் அவர்களை இரட்சித்தார்.

8. But He saved them for His name's sake, to make known His might.

9. அவர் சிவந்த சமுத்திரத்தை அதட்டினார், அது வற்றிப்போயிற்று; வெட்டாந்தரையில் நடக்கிறதுபோல அவர்களை ஆழங்களில் நடந்துபோகப்பண்ணினார்.

9. And He rebuked the Sea of Reeds; and it dried up; and He made them go through the depths as through the wilderness.

10. பகைஞன் கைக்கு அவர்களை விலக்கி இரட்சித்து, சத்துருவின் கைக்கு அவர்களை விலக்கி மீட்டார்.

10. And He saved them from the hand of the one hating, and ransomed him from the hand of the enemy;

11. அவர்கள் சத்துருக்களைத் தண்ணீர்கள் மூடிக்கொண்டது; அவர்களில் ஒருவனும் மீந்திருக்கவில்லை.

11. and waters covered their enemies; not one of them was left.

12. அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் அவருடைய வார்த்தைகளை விசுவாசித்து, அவருடைய துதியைப் பாடினார்கள்.

12. Then they believed His Words; they sang His praise.

13. ஆனாலும் சீக்கிரமாய் அவருடைய கிரியைகளை மறந்தார்கள்; அவருடைய ஆலோசனைக்கு அவர்கள் காத்திராமல்,

13. They hurried and forgot His works; they did not wait for His counsel;

14. வனாந்தரத்திலே இச்சையுள்ளவர்களாகி, அவாந்தரவெளியிலே தேவனைப் பரீட்சைபார்த்தார்கள்.

14. and they greedily lusted in the wilderness, and tested God in the desert.

15. அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் கேட்டதை அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார், அவர்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களிலோ இளைப்பை அனுப்பினார்.

15. And He gave their request to them, but sent wasting into their soul.

16. பாளயத்தில் அவர்கள் மோசேயின்மேலும், கர்த்தருடைய பரிசுத்தனாகிய ஆரோனின்மேலும் பொறாமைகொண்டார்கள்.

16. And they were jealous of Moses the saint of Jehovah in the camp of Aaron;

17. பூமி பிளந்து தாத்தானை விழுங்கி, அபிராமின் கூட்டத்தை மூடிப்போட்டது.

17. the earth opened up and swallowed Dathan; and covered the company of Abiram.

18. அவர்கள் கூட்டத்தில் அக்கினி பற்றியெரிந்தது; அக்கினி ஜூவாலை துன்மார்க்கரை எரித்துப்போட்டது.

18. And a fire burned in their company; the flame burned up the wicked.

19. அவர்கள் ஓரேபிலே ஒரு கன்றுக்குட்டியையுண்டாக்கி, வார்ப்பிக்கப்பட்ட விக்கிரகத்தை நமஸ்கரித்தார்கள்.

19. They made a calf in Horeb, and fell down before the casted image;

20. தங்கள் மகிமையைப் புல்லைத் தின்கிற மாட்டின் சாயலாக மாற்றினார்கள்.

20. and they changed their Glory into the image of an ox eating grass.

21. எகிப்திலே பெரிய கிரியைகளையும், காமின் தேசத்திலே அதிசயங்களையும், சிவந்த சமுத்திரத்தண்டையிலே பயங்கரமானவைகளையும் செய்தவராகிய,

21. They forgot God their deliverer, doing great things in Egypt;

22. தங்கள் இரட்சகரான தேவனை மறந்தார்கள்.

22. wonders in the land of Ham, awesome things by the Sea of Reeds.

23. ஆகையால், அவர்களை நாசம்பண்ணுவேன் என்றார்; அப்பொழுது அவரால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட மோசே, அவர்களை அவர் அழிக்காதபடிக்கு, அவருடைய உக்கிரத்தை ஆற்றும்பொருட்டு, அவருக்கு முன்பாகத் திறப்பின் வாயிலே நின்றான்.

23. And He said to destroy them; except Moses His elect had stood before Him in the breach, to turn away His wrath from destroying them.

24. அவருடைய வார்த்தையை விசுவாசியாமல், இச்சிக்கப்படத்தக்க தேசத்தை அசட்டைபண்ணினார்கள்.

24. They despised the pleasant land; they did not believe His Word.

25. கர்த்தருடைய சத்தத்திற்குச் செவிகொடாமல், தங்கள் கூடாரங்களில் முறுமுறுத்தார்கள்.
1 கொரிந்தியர் 10:10

25. And they murmured in their tents, not listening to the voice of Jehovah;

26. அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் வனாந்தரத்திலே மடியவும், அவர்கள் சந்ததி ஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளே அழியவும்,

26. and He lifted up His hand to them, to make them fall in the wilderness;

27. அவர்கள் பற்பல தேசங்களிலே சிதறடிக்கப்படவும், அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாகத் தம்முடைய கையை எடுத்தார்.

27. to make their seed fall also among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands.

28. அவர்கள் பாகால்பேயோரைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டு, ஜீவனில்லாதவைகளுக்கு இட்ட பலிகளைப் புசித்து,

28. They also were joined to Baal-peor, and ate the sacrifices of the ones who died;

29. தங்கள் கிரியைகளினால் அவருக்குக் கோபம் மூட்டினார்கள்; ஆகையால் வாதை அவர்களுக்குள் புகுந்தது.

29. and provoked Him with their deeds; and a plague broke out among them.

30. அப்பொழுது பினெகாஸ் எழுந்து நின்று நியாயஞ்செய்தான்; அதினால் வாதை நிறுத்தப்பட்டது.

30. Then Phinehas stood and intervened, and the plague was stayed;

31. அது தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக என்றைக்கும் அவனுக்கு நீதியாக எண்ணப்பட்டது.

31. and it was counted to him for righteousness to generation and generation, forever.

32. மேரிபாவின் தண்ணீர்களிடத்திலும் அவருக்குக் கடுங்கோபம் மூட்டினார்கள்; அவர்கள் நிமித்தம் மோசேக்கும் பொல்லாப்பு வந்தது.

32. And they angered Him at The Waters of Provocation, and it went ill for Moses because of them;

33. அவர்கள் அவன் ஆவியை விசனப்படுத்தினதினாலே, தன் உதடுகளினால் பதறிப்பேசினான்.

33. for they provoked his spirit, and he spoke rashly with his lips.

34. கர்த்தர் தங்களுக்குச் சொன்னபடி, அவர்கள் அந்த ஜனங்களை அழிக்கவில்லை.

34. They did not destroy the peoples, as Jehovah said to them,

35. ஜாதிகளுடனே கலந்து, அவர்கள் கிரியைகளைக் கற்று;

35. but mingled with the nations, and learned their works.

36. அவர்களுடைய விக்கிரகங்களைச் சேவித்தார்கள்; அவைகள் அவர்களுக்குக் கண்ணியாயிற்று.

36. And they served their idols, and they became a snare to them.

37. அவர்கள் தங்கள் குமாரரையும் தங்கள் குமாரத்திகளையும் பிசாசுகளுக்குப் பலியிட்டார்கள்.
1 கொரிந்தியர் 10:20

37. Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons;

38. அவர்கள் கானான் தேசத்து விக்கிரகங்களுக்குப் பலியிட்டு, தங்கள் குமாரர் குமாரத்திகளுடைய குற்றமில்லாத இரத்தத்தைச் சிந்தினார்கள்; தேசம் இரத்தத்தால் தீட்டுப்பட்டது.

38. and they shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan. And the land was polluted with the blood.

39. அவர்கள் தங்கள் கிரியைகளினால் அசுத்தமாகி, தங்கள் செய்கைகளினால் சோரம்போனார்கள்.

39. And they were unclean with their works, and went whoring in their acts.

40. அதினால் கர்த்தருடைய கோபம் தமது ஜனத்தின்மேல் மூண்டது; அவர் தமது சுதந்தரத்தை அருவருத்தார்.

40. And the anger of Jehovah glowed against His people; and He detested His inheritance.

41. அவர்களை ஜாதிகளுடைய கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; அவர்களுடைய பகைஞர் அவர்களை ஆண்டார்கள்.

41. And He gave them into the hand of the nations; and those who hated them ruled over them.

42. அவர்களுடைய சத்துருக்கள் அவர்களை ஒடுக்கினார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய கையின்கீழ்த் தாழ்த்தப்பட்டார்கள்.

42. And their enemies oppressed them and they were humbled under their hand.

43. அநேகந்தரம் அவர்களை விடுவித்தார்; அவர்களோ தங்கள் யோசனையினால் அவருக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கலகம்பண்ணி, தங்களுடைய அக்கிரமத்தினால் சிறுமைப்படுத்தப்பட்டார்கள்.

43. Many times He delivered them, but they rebelled in their plans, and sank in their iniquities.

44. அவர்கள் கூப்பிடுதலை அவர் கேட்கும்போதோ, அவர்களுக்கு உண்டான இடுக்கத்தை அவர் கண்ணோக்கி,

44. And He looked on their affliction when He heard their shout;

45. அவர்களுக்காகத் தமது உடன்படிக்கையை நினைத்து, தமது மிகுந்த கிருபையின்படி மனஸ்தாபப்பட்டு,

45. He remembered His covenant for them, and breathed a sigh, according to His many mercies.

46. அவர்களைச் சிறைபிடித்த யாவரும் அவர்களுக்கு இரங்கும்படி செய்தார்.

46. And He gave them to tender mercies before all their captors.

47. எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, நாங்கள் உமது பரிசுத்த நாமத்தைப் போற்றி, உம்மைத் துதிக்கிறதில் மேன்மைபாராட்டும்படி எங்களை இரட்சித்து, எங்களை ஜாதிகளிலிருந்து சேர்த்தருளும்.

47. Save us, O Jehovah our God, and gather us from the nations, to give thanks to Your holy name, to exult in Your praise.

48. இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அநாதியாய் என்றென்றைக்கும் ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்படத்தக்கவர். ஜனங்களெல்லாரும்: ஆமென், அல்லேலூயா, என்பார்களாக.
