1. பின்னும் கர்த்தர் யோபுக்கு உத்தரமாக:

1. Forsothe the Lord answeride to Joob fro the whirlewynd,

2. சர்வவல்லவரோடே வழக்காடி அவருக்குப் புத்தி படிப்பிக்கிறவன் யார்? தேவன் பேரில் குற்றம் பிடிக்கிறவன் இவைகளுக்கு உத்தரவு சொல்லக்கடவன் என்றார்.

2. and seide, Girde thou as a man thi leendis, and Y schal axe thee, and schewe thou to me.

3. அப்பொழுது யோபு கர்த்தருக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக:

3. Whether thou schalt make voide my doom, and schalt condempne me, that thou be maad iust?

4. இதோ, நான் நீசன்; நான் உமக்கு என்ன மறுஉத்தரவு சொல்லுவேன்; என் கையினால் என் வாயைப் பொத்திக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்.

4. And if thou hast an arm, as God hath, and if thou thundrist with lijk vois, `take thou fairnesse aboute thee,

5. நான் இரண்டொருதரம் பேசினேன்; இனி நான் பிரதியுத்தரம் கொடாமலும் பேசாமலும் இருப்பேன் என்றான்.

5. and be thou reisid an hiy, and be thou gloriouse, and be thou clothid `in faire clothis.

6. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் பெருங்காற்றில் இருந்து யோபுக்கு உத்தரவு அருளினார்.

6. Distrie thou proude men in thi woodnesse, and biholde thou, and make lowe ech bostere.

7. இப்போதும் புருஷனைப்போல நீ அரைகட்டிக்கொள்; நான் உன்னைக் கேட்பேன்; நீ எனக்கு உத்தரவு சொல்லு.

7. Biholde thou alle proude men, and schende thou hem; and al to-breke thou wickid men in her place.

8. நீ என் நியாயத்தை அவமாக்குவாயோ? நீ உன்னை நீதிமானாக்கிக்கொள்ளும்படிக்கு என்மேல் குற்றஞ்சுமத்துவாயோ?

8. Hide thou hem in dust togidere, and drenche doun her faces in to a diche.

9. தேவனுடைய புயத்தைப்போல் உனக்குப் புயமுண்டோ? அவரைப்போல் இடிமுழக்கமாய்ச் சத்தமிடக்கூடுமோ?

9. And Y schal knowleche, that thi riyt hond may saue thee.

10. இப்போதும் நீ முக்கியத்தாலும் மகத்துவத்தாலும் உன்னை அலங்கரித்து, மகிமையையும் கனத்தையும் தரித்துக்கொண்டு,

10. Lo! behemot, whom Y made with thee, schal as an oxe ete hey.

11. நீ உன் கோபத்தின் உக்கிரத்தை வீசி, அகந்தையுள்ளவனையெல்லாம் தேடிப்பார்த்து தாழ்த்திவிட்டு,

11. His strengthe is in hise leendis, and his vertu is in the nawle of his wombe.

12. பெருமையுள்ளவனையெல்லாம் கவனித்து, அவனைப் பணியப்பண்ணி, துன்மார்க்கரை அவர்களிருக்கிற ஸ்தலத்திலே மிதித்துவிடு.

12. He streyneth his tail as a cedre; the senewis of his `stones of gendrure ben foldid togidere.

13. நீ அவர்களை ஏகமாய்ப் புழுதியிலே புதைத்து, அவர்கள் முகங்களை அந்தரங்கத்திலே கட்டிப்போடு.

13. Hise boonys ben as the pipis of bras; the gristil of hym is as platis of yrun.

14. அப்பொழுது உன் வலதுகை உனக்கு இரட்சிப்பு உண்டுபண்ணும் என்று சொல்லி நான் உன்னைப் புகழுவேன்.

14. He is the bigynnyng of the weies of God; he, that made hym, schal sette his swerd to hym.

15. இப்போதும் பிகெமோத்தை நீ கவனித்துப்பார்; உன்னை உண்டாக்கினதுபோல அதையும் உண்டாக்கினேன்; அது மாட்டைப்போல் புல்லைத்தின்னும்.

15. Hillis beren eerbis to this behemot; alle the beestis of the feeld pleien there.

16. இதோ, அதினுடைய பெலன் அதின் இடுப்பிலும், அதின் வீரியம் அதின் வயிற்றின் நரம்புகளிலும் இருக்கிறது.

16. He slepith vndur schadewe, in the pryuete of rehed, in moiste places.

17. அது தன் வாலைக் கேதுருமரத்தைப்போல் நீட்டுகிறது; அதின் இடுப்பு நரம்புகள் பின்னிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது.

17. Schadewis hilen his schadewe; the salewis of the ryuer cumpassen hym.

18. அதின் எலும்புகள் கெட்டியான வெண்கலத்தைப்போலவும், அதின் அஸ்திகள் இருப்புக் கம்பிகளைப்போலவும் இருக்கிறது.

18. He schal soupe vp the flood, and he schal not wondre; he hath trist, that Jordan schal flowe in to his mouth.

19. அது தேவனுடைய கிரியைகளில் பிரதானமான ஒரு கிரியை, அதை உண்டாக்கினவர் அதற்கு ஒரு பட்டயத்தையும் கொடுத்தார்.

19. He schal take hem bi `the iyen of hym, as bi an hook; and bi scharpe schaftis he schal perse hise nosethirlis.

20. காட்டுமிருகங்கள் யாவும் விளையாடுகிற மலைகள் அதற்கு மேய்ச்சலை விளைவிக்கும்.

20. Whether thou schalt mowe drawe out leuyathan with an hook, and schalt bynde with a roop his tunge?

21. அது நிழலுள்ள செடிகளின் கீழும், நாணலின் மறைவிலும், உளையிலும் படுத்துக்கொள்ளும்.

21. Whethir thou schalt putte a ryng in hise nosethirlis, ethir schalt perse hyse cheke with `an hook?

22. தழைகளின் நிழல் அதைக்கவிந்து, நதியின் அலரிகள் அதைச் சூழ்ந்துகொள்ளும்.

22. Whether he schal multiplie preieris to thee, ether schal speke softe thingis to thee?

23. இதோ, நதி புரண்டு வந்தாலும் அது பயந்தோடாது; யோர்தான் நதியத்தனை தண்ணீர் அதின் முகத்தில் மோதினாலும் அது அசையாமலிருக்கும்.

23. Whether he schal make couenaunt with thee, and `thou schalt take him a seruaunt euerlastinge?

24. அதின் கண்கள் பார்த்திருக்க அதை யார் பிடிக்கக்கூடும்? மூக்கணாங்கயிறுபோட அதின் மூக்கை யார் குத்தக்கூடும்?

24. Whether thou schalt scorne hym as a brid, ethir schalt bynde hym to thin handmaidis?
