1. பின்னும் கர்த்தர் யோபுக்கு உத்தரமாக:

1. The Lord said to Job:

2. சர்வவல்லவரோடே வழக்காடி அவருக்குப் புத்தி படிப்பிக்கிறவன் யார்? தேவன் பேரில் குற்றம் பிடிக்கிறவன் இவைகளுக்கு உத்தரவு சொல்லக்கடவன் என்றார்.

2. 'Will the person who argues with the Almighty correct him? Let the person who accuses God answer him.'

3. அப்பொழுது யோபு கர்த்தருக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக:

3. Then Job answered the Lord:

4. இதோ, நான் நீசன்; நான் உமக்கு என்ன மறுஉத்தரவு சொல்லுவேன்; என் கையினால் என் வாயைப் பொத்திக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்.

4. 'I am not worthy; I cannot answer you anything, so I will put my hand over my mouth.

5. நான் இரண்டொருதரம் பேசினேன்; இனி நான் பிரதியுத்தரம் கொடாமலும் பேசாமலும் இருப்பேன் என்றான்.

5. I spoke one time, but I will not answer again; I even spoke two times, but I will say nothing more.'

6. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் பெருங்காற்றில் இருந்து யோபுக்கு உத்தரவு அருளினார்.

6. Then the Lord spoke to Job from the storm:

7. இப்போதும் புருஷனைப்போல நீ அரைகட்டிக்கொள்; நான் உன்னைக் கேட்பேன்; நீ எனக்கு உத்தரவு சொல்லு.

7. 'Be strong, like a man! I will ask you questions, and you must answer me.

8. நீ என் நியாயத்தை அவமாக்குவாயோ? நீ உன்னை நீதிமானாக்கிக்கொள்ளும்படிக்கு என்மேல் குற்றஞ்சுமத்துவாயோ?

8. Would you say that I am unfair? Would you blame me to make yourself look right?

9. தேவனுடைய புயத்தைப்போல் உனக்குப் புயமுண்டோ? அவரைப்போல் இடிமுழக்கமாய்ச் சத்தமிடக்கூடுமோ?

9. Are you as strong as God? Can your voice thunder like his?

10. இப்போதும் நீ முக்கியத்தாலும் மகத்துவத்தாலும் உன்னை அலங்கரித்து, மகிமையையும் கனத்தையும் தரித்துக்கொண்டு,

10. If so, then decorate yourself with glory and beauty; dress in honor and greatness as if they were clothing.

11. நீ உன் கோபத்தின் உக்கிரத்தை வீசி, அகந்தையுள்ளவனையெல்லாம் தேடிப்பார்த்து தாழ்த்திவிட்டு,

11. Let your great anger punish; look at the proud and bring them down.

12. பெருமையுள்ளவனையெல்லாம் கவனித்து, அவனைப் பணியப்பண்ணி, துன்மார்க்கரை அவர்களிருக்கிற ஸ்தலத்திலே மிதித்துவிடு.

12. Look at the proud and make them humble. Crush the wicked wherever they are.

13. நீ அவர்களை ஏகமாய்ப் புழுதியிலே புதைத்து, அவர்கள் முகங்களை அந்தரங்கத்திலே கட்டிப்போடு.

13. Bury them all in the dirt together; cover their faces in the grave.

14. அப்பொழுது உன் வலதுகை உனக்கு இரட்சிப்பு உண்டுபண்ணும் என்று சொல்லி நான் உன்னைப் புகழுவேன்.

14. If you can do that, then I myself will praise you, because you are strong enough to save yourself.

15. இப்போதும் பிகெமோத்தை நீ கவனித்துப்பார்; உன்னை உண்டாக்கினதுபோல அதையும் உண்டாக்கினேன்; அது மாட்டைப்போல் புல்லைத்தின்னும்.

15. 'Look at the behemoth, which I made just as I made you. It eats grass like an ox.

16. இதோ, அதினுடைய பெலன் அதின் இடுப்பிலும், அதின் வீரியம் அதின் வயிற்றின் நரம்புகளிலும் இருக்கிறது.

16. Look at the strength it has in its body; the muscles of its stomach are powerful.

17. அது தன் வாலைக் கேதுருமரத்தைப்போல் நீட்டுகிறது; அதின் இடுப்பு நரம்புகள் பின்னிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது.

17. Its tail is like a cedar tree; the muscles of its thighs are woven together.

18. Its bones are like tubes of bronze; its legs are like bars of iron.

19. It is one of the first of God's works, but its Maker can destroy it.

20. The hills, where the wild animals play, provide food for it.

21. It lies under the lotus plants, hidden by the tall grass in the swamp.

22. தழைகளின் நிழல் அதைக்கவிந்து, நதியின் அலரிகள் அதைச் சூழ்ந்துகொள்ளும்.

22. The lotus plants hide it in their shadow; the poplar trees by the streams surround it.

23. இதோ, நதி புரண்டு வந்தாலும் அது பயந்தோடாது; யோர்தான் நதியத்தனை தண்ணீர் அதின் முகத்தில் மோதினாலும் அது அசையாமலிருக்கும்.

23. If the river floods, it will not be afraid; it is safe even if the Jordan River rushes to its mouth.

24. Can anyone blind its eyes and capture it? Can anyone put hooks in its nose?
