1. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுக்கும் தேசத்தில் நீ போய்ச் சேர்ந்து, அதைக் கட்டிக்கொண்டு அதில் வாசம்பண்ணும்போது,

1. 'And it hath been, when thou comest in unto the land which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee -- an inheritance, and thou hast possessed it, and dwelt in it,

2. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குக் கொடுக்கும் உன் தேசத்தில் நீ பயிரிடும் நிலத்தின் கனிகளிலெல்லாம் முந்தின பலனை எடுத்து, ஒரு கூடையிலே வைத்து, உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் தமது நாமம் விளங்கும்படி தெரிந்துகொண்டிருக்கும் ஸ்தானத்திற்குப் போய்,

2. that thou hast taken of the first of all the fruits of the ground which thou dost bring in out of thy land which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee, and hast put [it] in a basket, and gone unto the place which Jehovah thy God doth choose to cause His name to tabernacle there.

3. அந்நாட்களில் இருக்கும் ஆசாரியனிடத்தில் சென்று, அவனை நோக்கி: கர்த்தர் எங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்க நம்முடைய பிதாக்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்ட தேசத்தில் வந்து சேர்ந்தேன் என்று இன்று உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அறிக்கையிடுகிறேன் என்பாயாக.

3. 'And thou hast come in unto the priest who is in those days, and hast said unto him, I have declared to-day to Jehovah thy God, that I have come in unto the land which Jehovah hath sworn to our fathers to give to us;

4. அப்பொழுது ஆசாரியன் அந்தக் கூடையை உன் கையிலிருந்து வாங்கி, அதை உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் பலிபீடத்திற்கு முன்பாக வைக்கக்கடவன்.

4. and the priest hath taken the basket out of thy hand, and placed it before the altar of Jehovah thy God.

5. அப்பொழுது நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் நின்று வசனித்துச் சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: என் தகப்பன் அழிவுக்கு நேரான சீரியா தேசத்தானாயிருந்தான்; அவன் கொஞ்சம் ஜனங்களோடே எகிப்துக்குப் போய், அவ்விடத்தில் பரதேசியாய்ச் சஞ்சரித்து, அங்கே பெரிய பலத்த திரட்சியான ஜாதியானான்.

5. 'And thou hast answered and said before Jehovah thy God, A perishing Aramaean [is] my father! and he goeth down to Egypt, and sojourneth there with few men, and becometh there a nation, great, mighty, and numerous;

6. எகிப்தியர் எங்களை ஒடுக்கி, எங்களைச் சிறுமைப்படுத்தி, எங்கள்மேல் கடினமான வேலையைச் சுமத்தினபோது,

6. and the Egyptians do us evil, and afflict us, and put on us hard service;

7. எங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டோம்; கர்த்தர் எங்கள் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டு, எங்கள் சிறுமையையும் எங்கள் வருத்தத்தையும் எங்கள் ஒடுக்கத்தையும் பார்த்து,

7. and we cry unto Jehovah, God of our fathers, and Jehovah heareth our voice, and seeth our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression;

8. எங்களைப் பலத்த கையினாலும், ஓங்கிய புயத்தினாலும், மகா பயங்கரங்களினாலும், அடையாளங்களினாலும், அற்புதங்களினாலும், எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணி,

8. and Jehovah bringeth us out from Egypt, by a strong hand, and by a stretched-out arm, and by great fear, and by signs, and by wonders,

9. எங்களை இவ்விடத்துக்கு அழைத்து வந்து, பாலும் தேனும் ஓடுகிற தேசமாகிய இந்தத் தேசத்தை எங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார்.

9. and he bringeth us in unto this place, and giveth to us this land -- a land flowing with milk and honey.

10. இப்பொழுதும், இதோ, கர்த்தாவே, தேவரீர் எனக்குக் கொடுத்த நிலத்தினுடைய கனிகளின் முதற்பலனைக் கொண்டு வந்தேன் என்று சொல்லி, அதை உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் வைத்து, உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் பணிந்து,

10. 'And now, lo, I have brought in the first of the fruits of the ground which thou hast given to me, O Jehovah; -- and thou hast placed it before Jehovah thy God, and bowed thyself before Jehovah thy God,

11. நீயும் லேவியனும், உன்னிடத்தில் இருக்கிற பரதேசியும் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்கும் உன் வீட்டாருக்கும் அநுக்கிரகம்பண்ணின சகல நன்மைகளினிமித்தமும் சந்தோஷப்படுவீர்களாக.

11. and rejoiced in all the good which Jehovah thy God hath given to thee, and to thy house, thou, and the Levite, and the sojourner who [is] in thy midst.

12. தசமபாகம் செலுத்தும் வருஷமாகிய மூன்றாம் வருஷத்திலே, நீ உன் வரத்திலெல்லாம் பத்தில் ஒன்றை எடுத்து, லேவியனும் பரதேசியும் திக்கற்ற பிள்ளையும் விதவையும் உன் வாசல்களில் புசித்துத் திருப்தியாகும்படி அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்துத் தீர்ந்தபின்பு,

12. 'When thou dost complete to tithe all the tithe of thine increase in the third year, the year of the tithe, then thou hast given to the Levite, to the sojourner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, and they have eaten within thy gates, and been satisfied,

13. நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் போய் அவரை நோக்கி: தேவரீர் எனக்குக் கொடுத்த எல்லாக் கட்டளைகளின்படியும், நான் பரிசுத்தமான பொருள்களை என் வீட்டிலிருந்து எடுத்து வந்து, லேவியனுக்கும், பரதேசிக்கும், திக்கற்ற பிள்ளைக்கும், விதவைக்கும் கொடுத்தேன்; உம்முடைய கட்டளைகளில் ஒன்றையும் நான் மீறவும் இல்லை மறக்கவும் இல்லை.

13. and thou hast said before Jehovah thy God, I have put away the separated thing out of the house, and also have given it to the Levite, and to the sojourner, and to the orphan, and to the widow, according to all Thy command which Thou hast commanded me; I have not passed over from Thy commands, nor have I forgotten.

14. நான் துக்கங்கொண்டாடும்போது அதில் புசிக்கவும் இல்லை, தீட்டான காரியத்துக்கு அதில் ஒன்றும் எடுக்கவும் இல்லை; இழவுக்காரியத்துக்காக அதில் ஒன்றும் படைக்கவும் இல்லை; நான் என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் சத்தத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து, தேவரீர் எனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடி சகலமும் செய்தேன்.

14. I have not eaten in mine affliction of it, nor have I put away of it for uncleanness, nor have I given of it for the dead; I have hearkened to the voice of Jehovah my God; I have done according to all that Thou hast commanded me;

15. நீர் உமது பரிசுத்த வாசஸ்தலமாகிய பரலோகத்திலிருந்து நோக்கிப் பார்த்து, உமது ஜனங்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலரையும், நீர் எங்கள் பிதாக்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்டபடியே, எங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த பாலும் தேனும் ஓடுகிற தேசத்தையும் ஆசீர்வதியும் என்று சொல்வாயாக.

15. look from Thy holy habitation, from the heavens, and bless Thy people Israel, and the ground which Thou hast given to us, as Thou hast sworn to our fathers -- a land flowing [with] milk and honey.

16. இந்தக் கட்டளைகளின்படியும் நியாயங்களின்படியும் நீ செய்யும் பொருட்டு, இன்று உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குக் கட்டைளையிடுகிறார்; ஆகையால் உன் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் உன் முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும் அவைகளைக் காத்து நடக்கக்கடவாய்.

16. 'This day Jehovah thy God is commanding thee to do these statutes and judgments; and thou hast hearkened and done them with all thy heart, and with all thy soul,

17. கர்த்தர் எனக்கு தேவனாயிருப்பார் என்றும், நான் அவர் வழிகளில் நடந்து, அவர் கட்டளைகளையும், அவர் கற்பனைகளையும், அவர் நியாயங்களையும் கைக்கொண்டு, அவர் சத்தத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிவேன் என்றும் நீ இன்று அவருக்கு வாக்குக்கொடுத்தாய்.

17. Jehovah thou hast caused to promise to-day to become thy God, and to walk in His ways, and to keep His statutes, and His commands, and His judgments, and to hearken to His voice.

18. கர்த்தரும் உனக்கு வாக்குக்கொடுத்து உனக்குச் சொல்லியிருக்கிறபடி: நீ என்னுடைய கட்டளைகளையெல்லாம் கைக்கொண்டால், எனக்குச் சொந்த ஜனமாயிருப்பாய் என்றும்,

18. 'And Jehovah hath caused thee to promise to-day to become His people, a peculiar treasure, as He hath spoken to thee, and to keep all His commands;

19. நான் உண்டுபண்ணின எல்லா ஜாதிகளைப்பார்க்கிலும், புகழ்ச்சியிலும், கீர்த்தியிலும், மகிமையிலும் உன்னைச் சிறந்திருக்கும்படி செய்வேன் என்றும், நான் சொன்னபடியே, நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரான எனக்குப் பரிசுத்த ஜனமாயிருப்பாய் என்றும், அவர் இன்று உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றான்.

19. so as to make thee uppermost above all the nations whom He hath made for a praise, and for a name, and for beauty, and for thy being a holy people to Jehovah thy God, as He hath spoken.
