1. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுக்கும் தேசத்தில் நீ போய்ச் சேர்ந்து, அதைக் கட்டிக்கொண்டு அதில் வாசம்பண்ணும்போது,

1. Once you enter the land that GOD, your God, is giving you as an inheritance and take it over and settle down,

2. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குக் கொடுக்கும் உன் தேசத்தில் நீ பயிரிடும் நிலத்தின் கனிகளிலெல்லாம் முந்தின பலனை எடுத்து, ஒரு கூடையிலே வைத்து, உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் தமது நாமம் விளங்கும்படி தெரிந்துகொண்டிருக்கும் ஸ்தானத்திற்குப் போய்,

2. you are to take some of all the firstfruits of what you grow in the land that GOD, your God, is giving you, put them in a basket and go to the place GOD, your God, sets apart for you to worship him.

3. அந்நாட்களில் இருக்கும் ஆசாரியனிடத்தில் சென்று, அவனை நோக்கி: கர்த்தர் எங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்க நம்முடைய பிதாக்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்ட தேசத்தில் வந்து சேர்ந்தேன் என்று இன்று உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அறிக்கையிடுகிறேன் என்பாயாக.

3. At that time, go to the priest who is there and say, 'I announce to GOD, your God, today that I have entered the land that GOD promised our ancestors that he'd give to us.'

4. அப்பொழுது ஆசாரியன் அந்தக் கூடையை உன் கையிலிருந்து வாங்கி, அதை உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் பலிபீடத்திற்கு முன்பாக வைக்கக்கடவன்.

4. The priest will take the basket from you and place it on the Altar of GOD, your God.

5. அப்பொழுது நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் நின்று வசனித்துச் சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: என் தகப்பன் அழிவுக்கு நேரான சீரியா தேசத்தானாயிருந்தான்; அவன் கொஞ்சம் ஜனங்களோடே எகிப்துக்குப் போய், அவ்விடத்தில் பரதேசியாய்ச் சஞ்சரித்து, அங்கே பெரிய பலத்த திரட்சியான ஜாதியானான்.

5. And there in the Presence of GOD, your God, you will recite, A wandering Aramean was my father, he went down to Egypt and sojourned there, he and just a handful of his brothers at first, but soon they became a great nation, mighty and many.

6. எகிப்தியர் எங்களை ஒடுக்கி, எங்களைச் சிறுமைப்படுத்தி, எங்கள்மேல் கடினமான வேலையைச் சுமத்தினபோது,

6. The Egyptians abused and battered us, in a cruel and savage slavery.

7. எங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டோம்; கர்த்தர் எங்கள் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டு, எங்கள் சிறுமையையும் எங்கள் வருத்தத்தையும் எங்கள் ஒடுக்கத்தையும் பார்த்து,

7. We cried out to GOD, the God-of-Our-Fathers: He listened to our voice, he saw our destitution, our trouble, our cruel plight.

8. எங்களைப் பலத்த கையினாலும், ஓங்கிய புயத்தினாலும், மகா பயங்கரங்களினாலும், அடையாளங்களினாலும், அற்புதங்களினாலும், எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணி,

8. And GOD took us out of Egypt with his strong hand and long arm, terrible and great, with signs and miracle-wonders.

9. எங்களை இவ்விடத்துக்கு அழைத்து வந்து, பாலும் தேனும் ஓடுகிற தேசமாகிய இந்தத் தேசத்தை எங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார்.

9. And he brought us to this place, gave us this land flowing with milk and honey.

10. இப்பொழுதும், இதோ, கர்த்தாவே, தேவரீர் எனக்குக் கொடுத்த நிலத்தினுடைய கனிகளின் முதற்பலனைக் கொண்டு வந்தேன் என்று சொல்லி, அதை உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் வைத்து, உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் பணிந்து,

10. So here I am. I've brought the firstfruits of what I've grown on this ground you gave me, O GOD. Then place it in the Presence of GOD, your God. Prostrate yourselves in the Presence of GOD, your God.

11. நீயும் லேவியனும், உன்னிடத்தில் இருக்கிற பரதேசியும் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்கும் உன் வீட்டாருக்கும் அநுக்கிரகம்பண்ணின சகல நன்மைகளினிமித்தமும் சந்தோஷப்படுவீர்களாக.

11. And rejoice! Celebrate all the good things that GOD, your God, has given you and your family; you and the Levite and the foreigner who lives with you.

12. தசமபாகம் செலுத்தும் வருஷமாகிய மூன்றாம் வருஷத்திலே, நீ உன் வரத்திலெல்லாம் பத்தில் ஒன்றை எடுத்து, லேவியனும் பரதேசியும் திக்கற்ற பிள்ளையும் விதவையும் உன் வாசல்களில் புசித்துத் திருப்தியாகும்படி அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்துத் தீர்ந்தபின்பு,

12. Every third year, the year of the tithe, give a tenth of your produce to the Levite, the foreigner, the orphan, and the widow so that they may eat their fill in your cities.

13. நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் போய் அவரை நோக்கி: தேவரீர் எனக்குக் கொடுத்த எல்லாக் கட்டளைகளின்படியும், நான் பரிசுத்தமான பொருள்களை என் வீட்டிலிருந்து எடுத்து வந்து, லேவியனுக்கும், பரதேசிக்கும், திக்கற்ற பிள்ளைக்கும், விதவைக்கும் கொடுத்தேன்; உம்முடைய கட்டளைகளில் ஒன்றையும் நான் மீறவும் இல்லை மறக்கவும் இல்லை.

13. And then, in the Presence of GOD, your God, say this: I have brought the sacred share, I've given it to the Levite, foreigner, orphan, and widow. What you commanded, I've done. I haven't detoured around your commands, I haven't forgotten a single one.

14. நான் துக்கங்கொண்டாடும்போது அதில் புசிக்கவும் இல்லை, தீட்டான காரியத்துக்கு அதில் ஒன்றும் எடுக்கவும் இல்லை; இழவுக்காரியத்துக்காக அதில் ஒன்றும் படைக்கவும் இல்லை; நான் என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் சத்தத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து, தேவரீர் எனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடி சகலமும் செய்தேன்.

14. I haven't eaten from the sacred share while mourning, I haven't removed any of it while ritually unclean, I haven't used it in funeral feasts. I have listened obediently to the Voice of GOD, my God, I have lived the way you commanded me.

15. நீர் உமது பரிசுத்த வாசஸ்தலமாகிய பரலோகத்திலிருந்து நோக்கிப் பார்த்து, உமது ஜனங்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலரையும், நீர் எங்கள் பிதாக்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்டபடியே, எங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த பாலும் தேனும் ஓடுகிற தேசத்தையும் ஆசீர்வதியும் என்று சொல்வாயாக.

15. Look down from your holy house in Heaven! Bless your people Israel and the ground you gave us, just as you promised our ancestors you would, this land flowing with milk and honey.

16. இந்தக் கட்டளைகளின்படியும் நியாயங்களின்படியும் நீ செய்யும் பொருட்டு, இன்று உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குக் கட்டைளையிடுகிறார்; ஆகையால் உன் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் உன் முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும் அவைகளைக் காத்து நடக்கக்கடவாய்.

16. This very day GOD, your God, commands you to follow these rules and regulations, to live them out with everything you have in you.

17. கர்த்தர் எனக்கு தேவனாயிருப்பார் என்றும், நான் அவர் வழிகளில் நடந்து, அவர் கட்டளைகளையும், அவர் கற்பனைகளையும், அவர் நியாயங்களையும் கைக்கொண்டு, அவர் சத்தத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிவேன் என்றும் நீ இன்று அவருக்கு வாக்குக்கொடுத்தாய்.

17. You've renewed your vows today that GOD is your God, that you'll live the way he shows you; do what he tells you in the rules, regulations, and commandments; and listen obediently to him.

18. கர்த்தரும் உனக்கு வாக்குக்கொடுத்து உனக்குச் சொல்லியிருக்கிறபடி: நீ என்னுடைய கட்டளைகளையெல்லாம் கைக்கொண்டால், எனக்குச் சொந்த ஜனமாயிருப்பாய் என்றும்,

18. And today GOD has reaffirmed that you are dearly held treasure just as he promised, a people entrusted with keeping his commandments,

19. நான் உண்டுபண்ணின எல்லா ஜாதிகளைப்பார்க்கிலும், புகழ்ச்சியிலும், கீர்த்தியிலும், மகிமையிலும் உன்னைச் சிறந்திருக்கும்படி செய்வேன் என்றும், நான் சொன்னபடியே, நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரான எனக்குப் பரிசுத்த ஜனமாயிருப்பாய் என்றும், அவர் இன்று உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றான்.

19. a people set high above all other nations that he's made, high in praise, fame, and honor: you're a people holy to GOD, your God. That's what he has promised.
