1. கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

1. And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

2. நீ இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டுச் சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: கானான்தேசம் அதின் எல்லைகள் உட்பட உங்களுக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கிடைக்கப்போகிறது; நீங்கள் கானான்தேசத்தில் சேரும்போது,

2. 'Command the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, When ye are coming in unto the land of Canaan -- this [is] the land which falleth to you by inheritance, the land of Canaan, by its borders --

3. உங்கள் தென்புறம் சீன்வனாந்தரம் தொடங்கி ஏதோம் தேசத்தின் ஓரமட்டும் இருக்கும்; கிழக்கே இருக்கிற உப்புக்கடலின் கடைசி தொடங்கி உங்கள் தென் எல்லையாயிருக்கும்.

3. then hath the south quarter been to you from the wilderness of Zin, by the sides of Edom, yea, the south border hath been to you from the extremity of the Salt Sea, eastward;

4. உங்கள் எல்லை தெற்கிலிருந்து அக்கராபீம் மேடுகளைச் சுற்றி, சீன்வனாந்தரம் வரையில் போய், தெற்கிலே காதேஸ்பர்னேயாவுக்கும், அங்கேயிருந்து ஆத்சார் ஆதாருக்கும், அங்கேயிருந்து அஸ்மோனாவுக்கும் போய்,

4. and the border hath turned round to you from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and hath passed on to Zin, and its outgoings have been from the south to Kadesh-Barnea, and it hath gone out at Hazar-Addar, and hath passed on to Azmon;

5. அஸ்மோனாவிலிருந்து எகிப்தின் நதிவரைக்கும் சுற்றிப்போய்க் கடலில் முடியும்.

5. and the border hath turned round from Azmon to the brook of Egypt, and its outgoings have been at the sea.

6. மேற்றிசைக்குப் பெருங்கடலே உங்களுக்கு எல்லை; அதுவே உங்களுக்கு மேற்புறத்து எல்லையாயிருக்கும்.

6. 'As to the west border, even the great sea hath been to you a border; this is to you the west border.

7. உங்களுக்கு வடதிசை எல்லை பெருங்கடல் தொடங்கி, ஓர் என்னும் மலையை உங்களுக்குக் குறிப்பாக வைத்து,

7. 'And this is to you the north border: from the great sea ye mark out for yourselves mount Hor;

8. ஓர் என்னும் மலை தொடங்கி, ஆமாத்திற்குப் போகிற வழியைக் குறிப்பாக வைத்து, அங்கேயிருந்து அந்த எல்லை சேதாத்திற்குப் போய்,

8. from mount Hor ye mark out to go in to Hamath, and the outgoings of the border have been to Zedad;

9. அங்கேயிருந்து அது சிப்ரோனுக்குப் போய், ஆத்சார் ஏனானிலே முடியும்; அதுவே உங்களுக்கு வடபுறத்து எல்லையாயிருக்கும்.

9. and the border hath gone out to Ziphron, and its outgoings have been at Hazar-Enan; this is to you the north border.

10. உங்களுக்குக் கீழ்த்திசை எல்லைக்கு ஆத்சார் ஏனானிலிருந்து சேப்பாமைக் குறிப்பாக வைத்து,

10. 'And ye have marked out for yourselves for the border eastward, from Hazar-Enan to Shepham;

11. சேப்பாமிலிருந்து எல்லையானது ஆயினுக்குக் கிழக்கிலுள்ள ரிப்லாபரியந்தமும், அங்கேயிருந்து கின்னரேத் கடல் பரியந்தமும் அதின் கீழ்க்கரையோரமாய்,

11. and the border hath gone down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east of Ain, and the border hath gone down, and hath smitten against the shoulder of the sea of Chinnereth eastward;

12. அங்கேயிருந்து யோர்தான் பரியந்தமும் போய், உப்புக்கடலில் முடியும்; இந்தச் சுற்றெல்லைகளையுடைய தேசமே உங்களுக்குரிய தேசம் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

12. and the border hath gone down to the Jordan, and its outgoings have been at the Salt Sea; this is for you the land by its borders round about.'

13. அப்பொழுது மோசே இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை நோக்கி: ஒன்பதரைக் கோத்திரத்தாருக்குக் கொடுக்கும்படி கர்த்தர் கட்டளையிட்டதும், நீங்கள் சீட்டுப்போட்டுச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளவேண்டியதுமான தேசம் இதுவே.

13. And Moses commandeth the sons of Israel, saying, 'This [is] the land which ye inherit by lot, which Jehovah hath commanded to give to the nine tribes and the half of the tribe;

14. ரூபன் புத்திரர் தங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய வம்சத்தின்படியும், காத் புத்திரர் தங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய வம்சத்தின்படியும், தங்கள் சுதந்தரத்தைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டதும் அல்லாமல், மனாசேயின் பாதிக் கோத்திரத்தாரும் தங்கள் சுதந்தரத்தைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டார்கள்.

14. for the tribe of the sons of Reuben have received, by the house of their fathers; and the tribe of the children of Gad, by the house of their fathers; and the half of the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance;

15. இந்த இரண்டரைக் கோத்திரத்தாரும் சூரியோதய திசையாகிய கிழக்கே எரிகோவின் அருகேயுள்ள யோர்தானுக்கு இப்புறத்திலே தங்கள் சுகந்தரத்தைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டார்கள் என்றான்.

15. the two tribes and the half of the tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan, [near] Jericho, eastward, at the [sun] -rising.'

16. மேலும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

16. And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

17. உங்களுக்கு தேசத்தைப் பங்கிட்டுக் கொடுக்கும் மனிதரின் நாமங்களாவன: ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசாரும், நூனின் குமாரனாகிய யோசுவாவுமே.

17. 'These [are] the names of the men who give to you the inheritance of the land: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua son of Nun,

18. அன்றியும், தேசத்தைப் பங்கிடும்படி ஒவ்வொரு கோத்திரத்தில் ஒவ்வொரு தலைவனையும் தெரிந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்.

18. and one prince -- one prince -- for a tribe ye do take to give the land by inheritance.

19. அந்த மனிதருடைய நாமங்களாவன: யூதா கோத்திரத்துக்கு எப்புன்னேயின் குமாரனாகிய காலேபும்,

19. 'And these [are] the names of the men: of the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;

20. சிமியோன் புத்திரரின் கோத்திரத்துக்கு அம்மியூதின் குமாரனாகிய சாமுவேலும்,

20. and of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shemuel son of Aminihud;

21. பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்துக்குக் கிஸ்லோனின் குமாரனாகிய எலிதாதும்,

21. of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Chislon;

22. தாண் புத்திரரின் கோத்திரத்துக்கு யொக்லியின் குமாரனாகிய புக்கி என்னும் பிரபுவும்,

22. and of the tribe of the sons of Dan, the prince Bukki son of Jogli;

23. யோசேப்பின் குமாரனாகிய மனாசே புத்திரரின் கோத்திரத்துக்கு எபோதின் குமாரனாகிய அன்னியேல் என்னும் பிரபுவும்,

23. of the sons of Joseph, of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, the prince Hanniel son of Ephod;

24. எப்பிராயீம் புத்திரரின் கோத்திரத்துக்குச் சிப்தானின் குமாரனாகிய கேமுவேல் என்னும் பிரபுவும்,

24. and of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, the prince Kemuel son of Shiphtan;

25. செபுலோன் புத்திரரின் கோத்திரத்துக்குப் பர்னாகின் குமாரனாகிய எலிசாப்பான் என்னும் பிரபுவும்,

25. and of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun, the prince Elizaphan son of Parnach;

26. இசக்கார் புத்திரரின் கோத்திரத்துக்கு ஆசானின் குமாரனாகிய பல்த்தியேல் என்னும் பிரபுவும்,

26. and of the tribe of the sons of Issachar, the prince Paltiel son of Azzan;

27. ஆசேர் புத்திரரின் கோத்திரத்துக்குச் சேலோமியின் குமாரனாகிய அகியூத் என்னும் பிரபுவும்,

27. and of the tribe of the sons of Asher, the prince Ahihud son of Shelomi;

28. நப்தலி புத்திரரின் கோத்திரத்துக்கு அம்மியூதின் குமாரனாகிய, பெதாக்கேல் என்னும் பிரபுவுமே என்றார்.

28. and of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, the prince Pedahel son of Ammihud.'

29. கானான்தேசத்திலே இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குச் சுதந்தரங்களைப் பங்கிட்டுக் கொடுக்கிறதற்குக் கர்த்தர் கட்டளையிட்டவர்கள் இவர்களே.

29. These [are] those whom Jehovah hath commanded to give the sons of Israel inheritance in the land of Canaan.
