1. கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

1. And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:

2. நீ இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டுச் சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: கானான்தேசம் அதின் எல்லைகள் உட்பட உங்களுக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கிடைக்கப்போகிறது; நீங்கள் கானான்தேசத்தில் சேரும்போது,

2. Command the sons of Israel, and thou shalt say unto them, When, ye, are coming into the land of Canaan, this is the land which shall fall unto you, as an inheritance, even the land of Canaan, by the boundaries thereof.

3. உங்கள் தென்புறம் சீன்வனாந்தரம் தொடங்கி ஏதோம் தேசத்தின் ஓரமட்டும் இருக்கும்; கிழக்கே இருக்கிற உப்புக்கடலின் கடைசி தொடங்கி உங்கள் தென் எல்லையாயிருக்கும்.

3. Ye shall therefore have a south corner, from the desert of Zin, on the side of Edom, so shall ye have a south boundary, from the end of the salt sea, eastward:

4. உங்கள் எல்லை தெற்கிலிருந்து அக்கராபீம் மேடுகளைச் சுற்றி, சீன்வனாந்தரம் வரையில் போய், தெற்கிலே காதேஸ்பர்னேயாவுக்கும், அங்கேயிருந்து ஆத்சார் ஆதாருக்கும், அங்கேயிருந்து அஸ்மோனாவுக்கும் போய்,

4. and the boundary shall go round for you from the south towards the cliffs of Akrabbim, then cross over towards Zin, and the extension thereof shall be from the south to Kadesh-barnea, then shall it reach out to Hazar-addar, and cross over towards Azmon;

5. அஸ்மோனாவிலிருந்து எகிப்தின் நதிவரைக்கும் சுற்றிப்போய்க் கடலில் முடியும்.

5. then shall the boundary turn round from Azmon towards the ravine of Egypt, and the extension thereof shall be towards the sea.

6. மேற்றிசைக்குப் பெருங்கடலே உங்களுக்கு எல்லை; அதுவே உங்களுக்கு மேற்புறத்து எல்லையாயிருக்கும்.

6. And, for a west boundary, ye shall have the great sea, even a boundary, this, shall serve you as west boundary.

7. உங்களுக்கு வடதிசை எல்லை பெருங்கடல் தொடங்கி, ஓர் என்னும் மலையை உங்களுக்குக் குறிப்பாக வைத்து,

7. And, this, shall serve you as a north boundary, From the great sea, ye shall draw a line for you to Mount Hor:

8. ஓர் என்னும் மலை தொடங்கி, ஆமாத்திற்குப் போகிற வழியைக் குறிப்பாக வைத்து, அங்கேயிருந்து அந்த எல்லை சேதாத்திற்குப் போய்,

8. From Mount Hor, ye shall draw a line to the entering in of Hamath, and the extension of the boundary shall be towards Zedad:

9. அங்கேயிருந்து அது சிப்ரோனுக்குப் போய், ஆத்சார் ஏனானிலே முடியும்; அதுவே உங்களுக்கு வடபுறத்து எல்லையாயிருக்கும்.

9. then shall the boundary reach out towards Ziphron, and the extension thereof, be to Hazar-enan. This, shall serve you as a north, boundary.

10. உங்களுக்குக் கீழ்த்திசை எல்லைக்கு ஆத்சார் ஏனானிலிருந்து சேப்பாமைக் குறிப்பாக வைத்து,

10. Then shall ye draw for yourselves a line, for an east boundary, from Hazar-enan towards Shepham;

11. சேப்பாமிலிருந்து எல்லையானது ஆயினுக்குக் கிழக்கிலுள்ள ரிப்லாபரியந்தமும், அங்கேயிருந்து கின்னரேத் கடல் பரியந்தமும் அதின் கீழ்க்கரையோரமாய்,

11. and the boundary shall go down from Shepham towards Riblah, on the east of Ain then shall the boundary go down and strike on the side of the Sea of Chinnereth, eastward:

12. அங்கேயிருந்து யோர்தான் பரியந்தமும் போய், உப்புக்கடலில் முடியும்; இந்தச் சுற்றெல்லைகளையுடைய தேசமே உங்களுக்குரிய தேசம் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

12. then shall the boundary go down towards the Jordan, and the extension thereof be to the salt sea. This shall be your land by the boundaries thereof round about.

13. அப்பொழுது மோசே இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை நோக்கி: ஒன்பதரைக் கோத்திரத்தாருக்குக் கொடுக்கும்படி கர்த்தர் கட்டளையிட்டதும், நீங்கள் சீட்டுப்போட்டுச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளவேண்டியதுமான தேசம் இதுவே.

13. And Moses commanded the sons of Israel saying, This, is the land, which ye shall inherit by lot, which Yahweh had commanded to be given to the nine tribes and the half tribe.

14. ரூபன் புத்திரர் தங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய வம்சத்தின்படியும், காத் புத்திரர் தங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய வம்சத்தின்படியும், தங்கள் சுதந்தரத்தைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டதும் அல்லாமல், மனாசேயின் பாதிக் கோத்திரத்தாரும் தங்கள் சுதந்தரத்தைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டார்கள்.

14. For the tribe of the sons of the Reubenites by their ancestral house, and the tribe of the sons of Gad, by their ancestral house, have received, and, the half tribe of Manasseh have received, their inheritance:

15. இந்த இரண்டரைக் கோத்திரத்தாரும் சூரியோதய திசையாகிய கிழக்கே எரிகோவின் அருகேயுள்ள யோர்தானுக்கு இப்புறத்திலே தங்கள் சுகந்தரத்தைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டார்கள் என்றான்.

15. the two tribes, and the half tribe, have received their inheritance on this side Jordan near Jericho, eastwards, towards sunrise.

16. மேலும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

16. Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:

17. உங்களுக்கு தேசத்தைப் பங்கிட்டுக் கொடுக்கும் மனிதரின் நாமங்களாவன: ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசாரும், நூனின் குமாரனாகிய யோசுவாவுமே.

17. These, are the names of the men who shall receive for you the land, as an inheritance, Eleazar, the priest, and Joshua, son of Nun.

18. அன்றியும், தேசத்தைப் பங்கிடும்படி ஒவ்வொரு கோத்திரத்தில் ஒவ்வொரு தலைவனையும் தெரிந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்.

18. Also, one prince from each tribe, shall ye take to receive the land, as an inheritance.

19. அந்த மனிதருடைய நாமங்களாவன: யூதா கோத்திரத்துக்கு எப்புன்னேயின் குமாரனாகிய காலேபும்,

19. These, therefore, are the names of the men, For the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh;

20. சிமியோன் புத்திரரின் கோத்திரத்துக்கு அம்மியூதின் குமாரனாகிய சாமுவேலும்,

20. And, for the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shemuel son of Ammihud:

21. பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்துக்குக் கிஸ்லோனின் குமாரனாகிய எலிதாதும்,

21. For the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad son of Chislon;

22. தாண் புத்திரரின் கோத்திரத்துக்கு யொக்லியின் குமாரனாகிய புக்கி என்னும் பிரபுவும்,

22. And, for the tribe of the sons of Dan, a prince Bukki, son of Jogli:

23. யோசேப்பின் குமாரனாகிய மனாசே புத்திரரின் கோத்திரத்துக்கு எபோதின் குமாரனாகிய அன்னியேல் என்னும் பிரபுவும்,

23. For the sons of Joseph, For the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, a prince, Hanniel son of Ephod;

24. எப்பிராயீம் புத்திரரின் கோத்திரத்துக்குச் சிப்தானின் குமாரனாகிய கேமுவேல் என்னும் பிரபுவும்,

24. And, for the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, a prince, Kemuel, son of Shiphtan;

25. செபுலோன் புத்திரரின் கோத்திரத்துக்குப் பர்னாகின் குமாரனாகிய எலிசாப்பான் என்னும் பிரபுவும்,

25. And, for the tribe of the sons of Zebulun, a prince, Elizaphan, son of Parnach;

26. இசக்கார் புத்திரரின் கோத்திரத்துக்கு ஆசானின் குமாரனாகிய பல்த்தியேல் என்னும் பிரபுவும்,

26. And, for the tribe of the sons of Issachar, a prince, Paltiel son of Azzan;

27. ஆசேர் புத்திரரின் கோத்திரத்துக்குச் சேலோமியின் குமாரனாகிய அகியூத் என்னும் பிரபுவும்,

27. And, for the tribe of the sons of Asher, a prince, Ahihud son of Shelomi:

28. நப்தலி புத்திரரின் கோத்திரத்துக்கு அம்மியூதின் குமாரனாகிய, பெதாக்கேல் என்னும் பிரபுவுமே என்றார்.

28. And, for the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, a prince, Pedahel, son of Ammihud.

29. கானான்தேசத்திலே இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குச் சுதந்தரங்களைப் பங்கிட்டுக் கொடுக்கிறதற்குக் கர்த்தர் கட்டளையிட்டவர்கள் இவர்களே.

29. These, are they whom Yahweh hath commanded to receive for the sons of Israel their inheritance, in the land of Canaan.
