1. தேவசபையிலே தேவன் எழுந்தருளியிருக்கிறார்; தேவர்களின் நடுவிலே அவர் நியாயம் விசாரிக்கிறார்.

1. (A psalm by Asaph.) When all of the other gods have come together, the Lord God judges them and says:

2. எதுவரைக்கும் நீங்கள் அநியாயத்தீர்ப்புச்செய்து, துன்மார்க்கருக்கு முகதாட்சிணியம்பண்ணுவீர்கள். (சேலா)

2. 'How long will you keep judging unfairly and favoring evil people?

3. ஏழைக்கும் திக்கற்றபிள்ளைக்கும் நியாயஞ்செய்து, சிறுமைப்பட்டவனுக்கும் திக்கற்றவனுக்கும் நீதி செய்யுங்கள்.

3. Be fair to the poor and to orphans. Defend the helpless and everyone in need.

4. பலவீனனையும் எளியவனையும் விடுவித்து, துன்மார்க்கரின் கைக்கு அவர்களைத் தப்புவியுங்கள்.

4. Rescue the weak and homeless from the powerful hands of heartless people.

5. அறியாமலும் உணராமலும் இருக்கிறார்கள், அந்தகாரத்திலே நடக்கிறார்கள்; தேசத்தின் அஸ்திபாரங்களெல்லாம் அசைகிறது.

5. None of you know or understand a thing. You live in darkness, while the foundations of the earth tremble.

6. நீங்கள் தேவர்கள் என்றும், நீங்களெல்லாரும் உன்னதமானவரின் மக்கள் என்றும் நான் சொல்லியிருந்தேன்.

6. I, the Most High God, say that all of you are gods and also my own children.

7. ஆனாலும் நீங்கள் மனுஷரைப்போலச் செத்து, லோகப்பிரபுக்களில் ஒருவனைப்போல விழுந்து போவீர்கள்.

7. But you will die, just like everyone else, including powerful rulers.'

8. தேவனே, எழுந்தருளும், பூமிக்கு நியாயத்தீர்ப்புச் செய்யும்; நீரே சகல ஜாதிகளையும் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொண்டிருப்பவர்.

8. Do something, God! Judge the nations of the earth; they belong to you.
