1. தேவனே, நீர் எங்களை என்றென்றைக்கும் ஏன் தள்ளிவிடுகிறீர்? உமது மேய்ச்சலின் ஆடுகள்மேல் உமது கோபம் ஏன் புகைகிறது?

1. An Instruction of Asaph. Why, O God, hast Thou cast off for ever? Thine anger smoketh against the flock of Thy pasture.

2. Remember Thy company. Thou didst purchase of old, Thou didst redeem the rod of Thy inheritance, This mount Zion -- Thou didst dwell in it.

3. நெடுங்காலமாகப் பாழாய்க்கிடக்கிற ஸ்தலங்களில் உம்முடைய பாதங்களை எழுந்தருளப்பண்ணும்; பரிசுத்தஸ்தலத்திலே சத்துரு அனைத்தையும் கெடுத்துப்போட்டான்.

3. Lift up Thy steps to the perpetual desolations, Everything the enemy did wickedly in the sanctuary.

4. உம்முடைய சத்துருக்கள் உம்முடைய ஆலயங்களுக்குள்ளே கெர்ச்சித்து, தங்கள் கொடிகளை அடையாளங்களாக நாட்டுகிறார்கள்.

4. Roared have thine adversaries, In the midst of Thy meeting-places, They have set their ensigns as ensigns.

5. கோடரிகளை ஓங்கிச் சோலையிலே மரங்களை வெட்டுகிறவன் பேர்பெற்றவனானான்.

5. He is known as one bringing in on high Against a thicket of wood -- axes.

6. இப்பொழுதோ அவர்கள் அதின் சித்திரவேலைகள் முழுவதையும் வாச்சிகளாலும் சம்மட்டிகளாலும் தகர்த்துப்போடுகிறார்கள்.

6. And now, its carvings together With axe and hatchet they break down,

7. உமது பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தை அக்கினிக்கு இரையாக்கி, உமது நாமத்தின் வாசஸ்தலத்தைத் தரைமட்டும் இடித்து, அசுத்தப்படுத்தினார்கள்.

7. They have sent into fire Thy sanctuary, to the earth they polluted the tabernacle of Thy name,

8. அவர்களை ஏகமாய் நிர்த்தூளியாக்குவோம் என்று தங்கள் இருதயத்தில் சொல்லி, தேசத்திலுள்ள ஆலயங்களையெல்லாம் சுட்டெரித்துப்போட்டார்கள்.

8. They said in their hearts, 'Let us oppress them together,' They did burn all the meeting-places of God in the land.

9. எங்களுக்கு இருந்த அடையாளங்களைக் காணோம்; தீர்க்கதரிசியும் இல்லை; இது எதுவரைக்கும் என்று அறிகிறவனும் எங்களிடத்தில் இல்லை.

9. Our ensigns we have not seen, There is no more a prophet, Nor with us is one knowing how long.

10. தேவனே, எதுவரைக்கும் சத்துரு நிந்திப்பான்? பகைவன் உமது நாமத்தை எப்பொழுதும் தூஷிப்பானோ?

10. Till when, O God, doth an adversary reproach? Doth an enemy despise thy name for ever?

11. உமது வலதுகரத்தை என் முடக்கிக்கொள்ளுகிறீர்; அதை உமது மடியிலிருந்து எடுத்து ஓங்கி நிர்மூலமாக்கும்.

11. Why dost Thou turn back Thy hand, Even Thy right hand? From the midst of Thy bosom remove [it].

12. பூமியின் நடுவில் இரட்சிப்புகளைச் செய்துவருகிற தேவன் பூர்வகாலமுதல் என்னுடைய ராஜா.

12. And God [is] my king of old, Working salvation in the midst of the earth.

13. தேவரீர் உமது வல்லமையினால் சமுத்திரத்தை இரண்டாகப் பிளந்து, ஜலத்திலுள்ள வலுசர்ப்பங்களின் தலைகளை உடைத்தீர்.

13. Thou hast broken by Thy strength a sea -[monster], Thou hast shivered Heads of dragons by the waters,

14. தேவரீர் முதலைகளின் தலைகளை நருக்கிப்போட்டு, அதை வனாந்தரத்து ஜனங்களுக்கு உணவாகக் கொடுத்தீர்.

14. Thou hast broken the heads of leviathan, Thou makest him food, For the people of the dry places.

15. ஊற்றையும் ஆற்றையும் பிளந்துவிட்டீர்; மகா நதிகளையும் வற்றிப்போகப்பண்ணினீர்.

15. Thou hast cleaved a fountain and a stream, Thou hast dried up perennial flowings.

16. பகலும் உம்முடையது, இரவும் உம்முடையது; தேவரீர் ஒளியையும் சூரியனையும் படைத்தீர்.

16. Thine [is] the day, also Thine [is] the night, Thou hast prepared a light giver -- the sun.

17. பூமியின் எல்லைகளையெல்லாம் திட்டம்பண்ணினீர்; கோடைகாலத்தையும் மாரிகாலத்தையும் உண்டாக்கினீர்.

17. Thou hast set up all the borders of earth, Summer and winter Thou hast formed them.

18. கர்த்தாவே, சத்துரு உம்மை நிந்தித்ததையும், மதியீன ஜனங்கள் உமது நாமத்தைத் தூஷித்ததையும் நினைத்துக்கொள்ளும்.

18. Remember this -- an enemy reproached Jehovah, And a foolish people have despised Thy name.

19. உமது காட்டுப்புறாவின் ஆத்துமாவைத் துஷ்டருடைய கூட்டத்திற்கு ஒப்புக்கொடாதேயும்; உமது ஏழைகளின் கூட்டத்தை என்றைக்கும் மறவாதேயும்.

19. Give not up to a company, The soul of Thy turtle-dove, The company of Thy poor ones forget not for ever.

20. உம்முடைய உடன்படிக்கையை நினைத்தருளும்; பூமியின் இருளான இடங்கள் கொடுமையுள்ள குடியிருப்புகளால் நிறைந்திருக்கிறதே.

20. Look attentively to the covenant, For the dark places of earth, Have been full of habitations of violence.

21. துன்பப்பட்டவன் வெட்கத்தோடே திரும்பவிடாதிரும்; சிறுமையும் எளிமையுமானவன் உமது நாமத்தைத் துதிக்கும்படி செய்யும்.

21. Let not the oppressed turn back ashamed, Let the poor and needy praise Thy name,

22. தேவனே, எழுந்தருளும், உமக்காக நீரே வழக்காடும்; மதியீனனாலே நாடோறும் உமக்கு வரும் நிந்தையை நினைத்துக்கொள்ளும்.

22. Arise, O God, plead Thy plea, Remember Thy reproach from a fool all the day.

23. உம்முடைய சத்துருக்களின் ஆரவாரத்தை மறவாதேயும்; உமக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்புகிறவர்களின் அமளி எப்பொழுதும் அதிகரிக்கிறது.

23. Forget not the voice of Thine adversaries, The noise of Thy withstanders is going up continually!
