1. கர்த்தாவே, நீர் என் வழக்காளிகளோடே வழக்காடி, என்னோடு யுத்தம்பண்ணுகிறவர்களோடே யுத்தம் பண்ணும்.

1. Of David. Strive thou with them, O LORD, that strive with me, fight thou against them that fight against me.

2. நீர் கேடகத்தையும் பரிசையையும் பிடித்து, எனக்கு ஒத்தாசையாக எழுந்து நில்லும்.

2. Lay hand upon the shield and spear, and stand up to help me.

3. என்னைத் துன்பப்படுத்துகிறவர்களோடு எதிர்த்து நின்று, ஈட்டியையோங்கி அவர்களை மறித்து: நான் உன் இரட்சிப்பு என்று என் ஆத்துமாவுக்குச் சொல்லும்.

3. Draw out thy sword, and stop(stoppe) the way against them that persecute me, say unto my soul: I am thy help.

4. என் பிராணனை வாங்கத்தேடுகிறவர்கள் வெட்கப்பட்டுக் கலங்குவார்களாக; எனக்குத் தீங்குசெய்ய நினைக்கிறவர்கள் நாணமடைவார்களாக.

4. Let them be confounded and put to shame, that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion, that imagine mischief for me.

5. அவர்கள் காற்றுமுகத்தில் பறக்கும் பதரைப்போலாவார்களாக; கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் அவர்களைத் துரத்துவானாக.

5. Let them be as the dust before the wind, and the angel of the LORD scattering them.

6. அவர்களுடைய வழி இருளும் சறுக்கலுமாயிருப்பதாக; கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் அவர்களைப் பின்தொடருவானாக.

6. Let their way be dark and slippery, and the angel of the LORD to persecute them.

7. முகாந்தரமில்லாமல் எனக்காகத் தங்கள் வலையைக் குழியில் ஒளித்துவைத்தார்கள்; முகாந்தரமில்லாமல் என் ஆத்துமாவுக்குப் படுகுழி வெட்டினார்கள்.

7. For they have privily laid their net to destroy me without cause, yea, and made a pit for my soul, which I never deserved.

8. அவன் நினையாத அழிவு அவனுக்கு வரவும், அவன் மறைவாய் வைத்த வலை அவனையே பிடிக்கவுங்கடவது; அவனே அந்தக் குழியில் விழுந்து அழிவானாக.

8. Let a sudden destruction come upon him unawares, and the net that he hath laid privily, catch himself, that he may fall into his own mischief.

9. என் ஆத்துமா கர்த்தரில் களிகூர்ந்து, அவருடைய இரட்சிப்பில் மகிழ்ந்திருக்கும்.

9. But let my soul be joyful in the LORD, and rejoice in his help.

10. சிறுமைப்பட்டவனை அவனிலும் பலவானுடைய கைக்கும், சிறுமையும் எளிமையுமானவனைக் கொள்ளையிடுகிறவனுடைய கைக்கும் தப்புவிக்கிற உமக்கொப்பானவர் யார் கர்த்தாவே, என்று என் எலும்புகளெல்லாம் சொல்லும்.

10. All my bones shall say: LORD, who is like unto thee? which deliverest the poor from those that are too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from his robbers.

11. கொடுமையான சாட்சிகள் எழும்பி, நான் அறியாததை என்னிடத்தில் கேட்கிறார்கள்.

11. False witnesses are risen up, and lay to my charge things that I know not.

12. நான் செய்த நன்மைக்குப் பதிலாகத் தீமைசெய்கிறார்கள்; என் ஆத்துமா திக்கற்றுப்போகப் பார்க்கிறார்கள்.

12. They reward me evil for good, to the great discomforth of my soul.

13. அவர்கள் வியாதியாயிருந்தபோது இரட்டு என் உடுப்பாயிருந்தது; நான் உபவாசத்தால் என் ஆத்துமாவை உபத்திரவப்படுத்தினேன்; என் ஜெபமும் என் மடியிலே திரும்பவந்தது.

13. Nevertheless, when they were sick, I put on a sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting, and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.

14. நான் அவனை என் சிநேகிதனாகவும் சகோதரனாகவும் பாவித்து நடந்துகொண்டேன்; தாய்க்காகத் துக்கிக்கிறவனைப்போல் துக்கவஸ்திரம் தரித்துத் தலைகவிழ்த்து நடந்தேன்.

14. I behaved myself as though it had been my friend or my brother, I went heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.

15. ஆனாலும் எனக்கு ஆபத்துண்டானபோது அவர்கள் சந்தோஷப்பட்டுக் கூட்டங்கூடினார்கள்; நீசரும் நான் அறியாதவர்களும் எனக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கூட்டங்கூடி, ஓயாமல் என்னை நிந்தித்தார்கள்.

15. But in mine adversity they rejoice, and gather them together: Yea, the very lame come together against me unawares, making mowes at me, and cease not.

16. அப்பத்திற்காக இச்சகம் பேசுகிற பரியாசக்காரரோடே சேர்ந்துகொண்டு என்பேரில் பற்கடிக்கிறார்கள்.

16. With the greedy and scornful hypocrites, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.

17. ஆண்டவரே, எதுவரைக்கும் இதைப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருப்பீர்? என் ஆத்துமாவை அழிவுக்கும், எனக்கு அருமையானதைச் சிங்கக்குட்டிகளுக்கும் தப்புவியும்.

17. Lord,(LORDE) when wilt thou look upon this? O restore my soul from the wicked rumour of them, my darling from the lions.

18. மகா சபையிலே உம்மைத் துதிப்பேன், திரளான ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளே உம்மைப் புகழுவேன்.

18. So will I give thee thanks in the great congregation, and praise thee among much people.

19. வீணாய் எனக்குச் சத்துருக்களானவர்கள் என்னிமித்தம் சந்தோஷியாமலும், முகாந்தரமில்லாமல் என்னைப் பகைக்கிறவர்கள் கண் சிமிட்டாமலும் இருப்பார்களாக.

19. O let them not triumph over me, that are mine enemies for naught: O let them not wink with their eyes, that hate me without a cause.

20. அவர்கள் சமாதானமாய்ப் பேசாமல், தேசத்திலே அமைதலாயிருக்கிறவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாய் வஞ்சகமான காரியங்களைக் கருதுகிறார்கள்.

20. And why? their communing(comoning) is not for peace, but they imagine false words against the outcasts of the land.

21. எனக்கு விரோதமாகத் தங்கள் வாயை விரிவாய்த் திறந்து, ஆ ஆ, ஆ ஆ, எங்கள் கண் கண்டது என்கிறார்கள்.

21. They gape upon me with their mouths, saying: there there: we see it with our eyes.

22. கர்த்தாவே, நீர் இதைக் கண்டீர், மவுனமாயிராதேயும்; ஆண்டவரே, எனக்குத் தூரமாகாதேயும்.

22. This thou seest, O LORD: hold not thy tongue then, go not far from me, O Lord.(LORDE)

23. என் தேவனே, என் ஆண்டவரே, எனக்கு நியாயஞ்செய்யவும் என் வழக்கைத் தீர்க்கவும் விழித்துக்கொண்டு எழுந்தருளும்.

23. Awake Lord,(LORDE) and stand up: avenge thou my cause, my God, and my Lord.(LORDE)

24. என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய நீதியின்படி என்னை நியாயம் விசாரியும், என்னைக்குறித்து அவர்களை மகிழவொட்டாதிரும்.

24. Judge me, O LORD my God, according to thy righteousness, that they triumph not over me.

25. அவர்கள் தங்கள் இருதயத்திலே: ஆ ஆ, இதுவே நாங்கள் விரும்பினது என்று சொல்லாதபடிக்கும், அவனை விழுங்கிவிட்டோம் என்று பேசாதபடிக்கும் செய்யும்.

25. O let them not say in their hearts: there there, so would we have it: O let them not say: we have overcome him.

26. எனக்கு நேரிட்ட ஆபத்துக்காகச் சந்தோஷிக்கிறவர்கள் ஏகமாய் வெட்கி நாணி, எனக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பெருமைபாராட்டுகிறவர்கள் வெட்கத்தாலும் இலச்சையாலும் மூடப்படக்கடவர்கள்.

26. Let them be put to confusion and shame, that rejoice at my trouble: let them be clothed with rebuke and dishonour, that boast themselves against me.

27. என் நீதிவிளங்க விரும்புகிறவர்கள் கெம்பீரித்து மகிழ்ந்து, தமது ஊழியக்காரனுடைய சுகத்தை விரும்புகிற கர்த்தருக்கு மகிமை உண்டாவதாக என்று எப்போதும் சொல்லக்கடவர்கள்.

27. Let them also be glad and rejoice, that favour my righteous dealing: yea let them say alway: blessed be the LORD, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

28. என் நாவு உமது நீதியையும், நாள்முழுவதும் உமது துதியையும் சொல்லிக்கொண்டிருக்கும்.

28. And as for my tongue, it shall be talking of thy righteousness and of thy praise, all the day long.
