1. கர்த்தாவே, நீர் என் வழக்காளிகளோடே வழக்காடி, என்னோடு யுத்தம்பண்ணுகிறவர்களோடே யுத்தம் பண்ணும்.

1. A Psalme of Dauid. Pleade thou my cause, O Lord, with them that striue with me: fight thou against them, that fight against me.

2. நீர் கேடகத்தையும் பரிசையையும் பிடித்து, எனக்கு ஒத்தாசையாக எழுந்து நில்லும்.

2. Lay hand vpon the shielde and buckler, and stand vp for mine helpe.

3. என்னைத் துன்பப்படுத்துகிறவர்களோடு எதிர்த்து நின்று, ஈட்டியையோங்கி அவர்களை மறித்து: நான் உன் இரட்சிப்பு என்று என் ஆத்துமாவுக்குச் சொல்லும்.

3. Bring out also the speare and stop the way against them, that persecute me: say vnto my soule, I am thy saluation.

4. என் பிராணனை வாங்கத்தேடுகிறவர்கள் வெட்கப்பட்டுக் கலங்குவார்களாக; எனக்குத் தீங்குசெய்ய நினைக்கிறவர்கள் நாணமடைவார்களாக.

4. Let them be confounded and put to shame, that seeke after my soule: let them be turned backe, and brought to confusion, that imagine mine hurt.

5. அவர்கள் காற்றுமுகத்தில் பறக்கும் பதரைப்போலாவார்களாக; கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் அவர்களைத் துரத்துவானாக.

5. Let them be as chaffe before the winde, and let the Angel of the Lord scatter them.

6. அவர்களுடைய வழி இருளும் சறுக்கலுமாயிருப்பதாக; கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் அவர்களைப் பின்தொடருவானாக.

6. Let their way be darke and slipperie: and let the Angel of the Lord persecute them.

7. முகாந்தரமில்லாமல் எனக்காகத் தங்கள் வலையைக் குழியில் ஒளித்துவைத்தார்கள்; முகாந்தரமில்லாமல் என் ஆத்துமாவுக்குப் படுகுழி வெட்டினார்கள்.

7. For without cause they haue hid the pit and their net for me: without cause haue they digged a pit for my soule.

8. அவன் நினையாத அழிவு அவனுக்கு வரவும், அவன் மறைவாய் வைத்த வலை அவனையே பிடிக்கவுங்கடவது; அவனே அந்தக் குழியில் விழுந்து அழிவானாக.

8. Let destruction come vpon him at vnwares, and let his net, that he hath laid priuilie, take him: let him fall into the same destruction.

9. என் ஆத்துமா கர்த்தரில் களிகூர்ந்து, அவருடைய இரட்சிப்பில் மகிழ்ந்திருக்கும்.

9. Then my soule shalbe ioyfull in the Lord: it shall reioyce in his saluation.

10. சிறுமைப்பட்டவனை அவனிலும் பலவானுடைய கைக்கும், சிறுமையும் எளிமையுமானவனைக் கொள்ளையிடுகிறவனுடைய கைக்கும் தப்புவிக்கிற உமக்கொப்பானவர் யார் கர்த்தாவே, என்று என் எலும்புகளெல்லாம் சொல்லும்.

10. All my bones shall say, Lord, who is like vnto thee, which deliuerest the poore from him, that is too strong for him! yea, the poore and him that is in miserie, from him that spoyleth him!

11. கொடுமையான சாட்சிகள் எழும்பி, நான் அறியாததை என்னிடத்தில் கேட்கிறார்கள்.

11. Cruell witnesses did rise vp: they asked of me things that I knewe not.

12. நான் செய்த நன்மைக்குப் பதிலாகத் தீமைசெய்கிறார்கள்; என் ஆத்துமா திக்கற்றுப்போகப் பார்க்கிறார்கள்.

12. They rewarded me euill for good, to haue spoyled my soule.

13. அவர்கள் வியாதியாயிருந்தபோது இரட்டு என் உடுப்பாயிருந்தது; நான் உபவாசத்தால் என் ஆத்துமாவை உபத்திரவப்படுத்தினேன்; என் ஜெபமும் என் மடியிலே திரும்பவந்தது.

13. Yet I, when they were sicke, I was clothed with a sacke: I humbled my soule with fasting: and my praier was turned vpon my bosome.

14. நான் அவனை என் சிநேகிதனாகவும் சகோதரனாகவும் பாவித்து நடந்துகொண்டேன்; தாய்க்காகத் துக்கிக்கிறவனைப்போல் துக்கவஸ்திரம் தரித்துத் தலைகவிழ்த்து நடந்தேன்.

14. I behaued my selfe as to my friend, or as to my brother: I humbled my selfe, mourning as one that bewaileth his mother.

15. ஆனாலும் எனக்கு ஆபத்துண்டானபோது அவர்கள் சந்தோஷப்பட்டுக் கூட்டங்கூடினார்கள்; நீசரும் நான் அறியாதவர்களும் எனக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கூட்டங்கூடி, ஓயாமல் என்னை நிந்தித்தார்கள்.

15. But in mine aduersitie they reioyced, and gathered them selues together: the abiects assembled themselues against me, and knewe not: they tare me and ceased not,

16. அப்பத்திற்காக இச்சகம் பேசுகிற பரியாசக்காரரோடே சேர்ந்துகொண்டு என்பேரில் பற்கடிக்கிறார்கள்.

16. With the false skoffers at bankets, gnashing their teeth against me.

17. ஆண்டவரே, எதுவரைக்கும் இதைப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருப்பீர்? என் ஆத்துமாவை அழிவுக்கும், எனக்கு அருமையானதைச் சிங்கக்குட்டிகளுக்கும் தப்புவியும்.

17. Lord, how long wilt thou beholde this? deliuer my soule from their tumult, euen my desolate soule from the lions.

18. மகா சபையிலே உம்மைத் துதிப்பேன், திரளான ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளே உம்மைப் புகழுவேன்.

18. So will I giue thee thankes in a great Congregation: I will praise thee among much people.

19. வீணாய் எனக்குச் சத்துருக்களானவர்கள் என்னிமித்தம் சந்தோஷியாமலும், முகாந்தரமில்லாமல் என்னைப் பகைக்கிறவர்கள் கண் சிமிட்டாமலும் இருப்பார்களாக.

19. Let not them that are mine enemies, vniustly reioyce ouer mee, neyther let them winke with the eye, that hate mee without a cause.

20. அவர்கள் சமாதானமாய்ப் பேசாமல், தேசத்திலே அமைதலாயிருக்கிறவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாய் வஞ்சகமான காரியங்களைக் கருதுகிறார்கள்.

20. For they speake not as friendes: but they imagine deceitfull woordes against the quiet of the lande.

21. எனக்கு விரோதமாகத் தங்கள் வாயை விரிவாய்த் திறந்து, ஆ ஆ, ஆ ஆ, எங்கள் கண் கண்டது என்கிறார்கள்.

21. And they gaped on mee with their mouthes, saying, Aha, aha, our eye hath seene.

22. கர்த்தாவே, நீர் இதைக் கண்டீர், மவுனமாயிராதேயும்; ஆண்டவரே, எனக்குத் தூரமாகாதேயும்.

22. Thou hast seene it, O Lord: keepe not silence: be not farre from me, O Lord.

23. என் தேவனே, என் ஆண்டவரே, எனக்கு நியாயஞ்செய்யவும் என் வழக்கைத் தீர்க்கவும் விழித்துக்கொண்டு எழுந்தருளும்.

23. Arise and wake to my iudgement, euen to my cause, my God, and my Lord.

24. என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய நீதியின்படி என்னை நியாயம் விசாரியும், என்னைக்குறித்து அவர்களை மகிழவொட்டாதிரும்.

24. Iudge me, O Lord my God, according to thy righteousnesse, and let them not reioyce ouer mee.

25. அவர்கள் தங்கள் இருதயத்திலே: ஆ ஆ, இதுவே நாங்கள் விரும்பினது என்று சொல்லாதபடிக்கும், அவனை விழுங்கிவிட்டோம் என்று பேசாதபடிக்கும் செய்யும்.

25. Let them not say in their hearts, O our soule reioyce: neither let them say, We haue deuoured him.

26. எனக்கு நேரிட்ட ஆபத்துக்காகச் சந்தோஷிக்கிறவர்கள் ஏகமாய் வெட்கி நாணி, எனக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பெருமைபாராட்டுகிறவர்கள் வெட்கத்தாலும் இலச்சையாலும் மூடப்படக்கடவர்கள்.

26. Let them bee confounded, and put to shame together, that reioyce at mine hurt: let them bee clothed with confusion and shame, that lift vp themselues against me.

27. என் நீதிவிளங்க விரும்புகிறவர்கள் கெம்பீரித்து மகிழ்ந்து, தமது ஊழியக்காரனுடைய சுகத்தை விரும்புகிற கர்த்தருக்கு மகிமை உண்டாவதாக என்று எப்போதும் சொல்லக்கடவர்கள்.

27. But let them be ioyful and glad, that loue my righteousnesse: yea, let them say alway, Let the Lord be magnified, which loueth the prosperitie of his seruant.

28. என் நாவு உமது நீதியையும், நாள்முழுவதும் உமது துதியையும் சொல்லிக்கொண்டிருக்கும்.

28. And my tongue shall vtter thy righteousnesse, and thy praise euery day.
