1. என் பெலனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, உம்மில் அன்புகூருவேன்.

1. To the chanter of David, servaunt of the LORD, which saide unto the LORD the words of this song, on the day in which the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul, and said: I will love thee, (O LORD) my strength.

2. கர்த்தர் என் கன்மலையும், என் கோட்டையும், என் இரட்சகரும், என் தேவனும், நான் அடைக்கலம் புகும் என் துருகமும், என் கேடகமும், என் இரட்சணியக் கொம்பும், என் உயர்ந்த அடைக்கலமுமாயிருக்கிறார்.

2. The LORD is my succor, my refuge, my Savior: my God, my helper, in whom I trust: my buckler, the horn of my health, and my protection.

3. துதிக்குப் பாத்திரராகிய கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுவேன்; அதனால் என் சத்துருக்களுக்கு நீங்கலாகி இரட்சிக்கப்படுவேன்.

3. I will praise the LORD, and call upon him, so shall I be save from mine enemies.

4. மரணக்கட்டுகள் என்னைச் சுற்றிக்கொண்டன; துர்ச்சனப்பிரவாகம் என்னைப் பயப்படுத்தினது.

4. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the brooks of ungodliness made me afraid.

5. பாதாளக்கட்டுகள் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டதன; மரணக் கண்ணிகள் என்மேல் விழுந்தன.

5. The pains of hell came about me, the snares of death took hold upon me.

6. எனக்கு உண்டான நெருக்கத்திலே கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டேன், என் தேவனை நோக்கி அபயமிட்டேன்; தமது ஆலயத்திலிருந்து என் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டார், என் கூப்பிடுதல் அவர் சந்நிதியில் போய், அவர் செவிகளில் ஏறிற்று.

6. Yet in my trouble I called upon the LORD, and complained unto my God. So he heard my voice out of his holy temple, and my complaint came before him, yea even into his ears.

7. அவர் கோபங்கொண்டபடியால் பூமி அசைந்து அதிர்ந்தது, பர்வதங்களின் அஸ்திபாரங்கள் குலுங்கி அசைந்தன.

7. Then the earth trembled and quaked, the very foundations of the hills shook and were removed, because he was wroth.

8. அவர் நாசியிலிருந்து புகை எழும்பிற்று, அவர் வாயிலிருந்து பட்சிக்கிற அக்கினி புறப்பட்டது; அதனால் தழல் மூண்டது.

8. There went a smoke out of his nostrils, and a consuming fire out of his mouth, so that coals were kindled at it.

9. வானங்களைத் தாழ்த்தி இறங்கினார்; அவர் பாதங்களின்கீழ் காரிருள் இருந்தது.

9. He bowed the heavens, and came down, and it was dark under his feet.

10. கேருபீன்மேல் ஏறி வேகமாய்ச் சென்றார்; காற்றின் செட்டைகளைக் கொண்டு பறந்தார்.

10. He rode upon the Cherub, and did fly: he came flying with the wings of the wind.

11. இருளைத் தமக்கு மறைவிடமாக்கினார்; நீர் கொண்டு கறுத்த கார்மேகங்களையும் தம்மைச்சூழக் கூடாரமாக்கினார்.

11. He made darkness his pavilion round about him, with dark waters and thick clouds to cover him.

12. அவருடைய சந்நிதிப் பிரகாசத்தினால் அவருடைய மேகங்கள், கல்மழையும் நெருப்புத்தழலையும் பொழிந்தன.

12. At the brightness of his presence the clouds removed, with hail stones and coals of fire.

13. கர்த்தர் வானங்களிலே குமுறினார், உன்னதமானவர் தமது சத்தத்தைத் தொனிக்கப்பண்ணினார்; கல்மழையும் நெருப்புத்தழலும் பொழிந்தன.

13. The LORD also thundered out of the heaven, and the height gave his thunder with hail stones and coals of fire.

14. தம்முடைய அம்புகளை எய்து, அவர்களைச் சிதறடித்தார்; மின்னல்களைப் பிரயோகித்து, அவர்களைக் கலங்கப்பண்ணினார்.

14. He sent out his arrows and scattered them, he cast sore lightnings, and destroyed them.

15. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய கண்டிதத்தினாலும் உம்முடைய நாசியின் சுவாசக்காற்றினாலும் தண்ணீர்களின் ஆழங்கள் தென்பட்டன, பூதலத்தின் அஸ்திபாரங்கள் வெளிப்பட்டன.

15. The springs of waters were seen, and the foundations of the round world were discovered at thy chiding (O LORD) at the blasting and breath of thy displeasures.

16. உயரத்திலிருந்து அவர் கைநீட்டி, என்னைப் பிடித்து, ஜலப்பிரவாகத்திலிருந்து என்னைத் தூக்கிவிட்டார்.

16. He sent down from the height(heyth) to fetch me, and took me out of great waters.

17. என்னிலும் பலவான்களாயிருந்த என் பலத்த சத்துருவுக்கும் என்னைப் பகைக்கிறவர்களுக்கும் என்னை விடுவித்தார்.

17. He delivered me from my strong enemies, and from my foes which were to mighty for me.

18. என் ஆபத்துநாளில் எனக்கு எதிரிட்டு வந்தார்கள்; கர்த்தரோ எனக்கு ஆதரவாயிருந்தார்.

18. They prevented me in the time of my trouble, but the LORD was my defense.

19. என்மேல் அவர் பிரியமாயிருந்தபடியால்பிரியமாயிருந்தபடியால், விசாலமான இடத்திலே என்னைக் கொண்டுவந்து, என்னைத் தப்புவித்தார்.

19. He brought me forth also into liberty: and delivered me, because he had a favor unto me.

20. கர்த்தர் என் நீதிக்குத்தக்கதாக எனக்குப் பதிலளித்தார்; என் கைகளின் சுத்தத்திற்குத்தக்கதாக எனக்குச் சரிக்கட்டினார்.

20. The LORD shall reward me after my righteous dealing, and according to the cleanness of my hands shall he recompense me.

21. ஏனெனில் கர்த்தருடைய வழிகளைக் கைக்கொண்டுவந்தேன்; நான் என் தேவனைவிட்டுத் துன்மார்க்கமாய் விலகினதில்லை.

21. For I have kept the ways of the LORD: and have not behaved myself wickedly against my God.

22. அவருடைய நியாயங்களையெல்லாம் எனக்கு முன்பாக இருக்கின்றன; அவருடைய பிரமாணங்களை நான் தள்ளிப்போடவில்லை.

22. I have an eye unto all his laws, and cast not out his commandments from me.

23. அவர் முன்பாக நான் உத்தமனாயிருந்து, என் துர்க்குணத்துக்கு என்னை விலக்கிக் காத்துக்கொண்டேன்.

23. Uncorrupt will I be before him, and will eschew my own wickedness.

24. ஆகையால் கர்த்தர் என் நீதிக்குத் தக்கதாகவும், தம்முடைய கண்களுக்கு முன்னிருக்கிற என் கைகளின் சுத்தத்திற்கும் தக்கதாகவும் எனக்குப் பலனளித்தார்.

24. Therefore shall the LORD reward me after my righteous dealing, and according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.

25. தயவுள்ளவனுக்கு நீர் தயவுள்ளவராகவும், உத்தமனுக்கு நீர் உத்தமராகவும்;

25. With the holy thou shalt be holy, and with the innocent thou shalt be innocent.

26. புனிதனுக்கு நீர் புனிதராகவும், மாறுபாடுள்ளவனுக்கு நீர் மாறுபடுகிறவராகவும் தோன்றுவீர்.

26. With the clean thou shalt be clean, and with the froward thou shalt be froward.

27. தேவரீர் சிறுமைப்பட்ட ஜனத்தை இரட்சிப்பீர்; மேட்டிமையான கண்களைத் தாழ்த்துவீர்.

27. For thou shalt save the poor oppressed, and bring down the high looks of the proud.

28. தேவரீர் என் விளக்கை ஏற்றுவீர்; என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் என் இருளை வெளிச்சமாக்குவார்.

28. Thou lightest my candle, O LORD my God: thou makest my darkness to be light.

29. உம்மாலே ஒரு சேனைக்குள் பாய்ந்துபோவேன்; என் தேவனாலே ஒரு மதிலைத் தாண்டுவேன்.

29. For in thee I can discomfort an host of men: yea in my God I can leap over the wall.

30. தேவனுடைய வழி உத்தமமானது; கர்த்தருடைய வசனம் புடமிடப்பட்டது; தம்மை நம்புகிற அனைவருக்கும் அவர் கேடகமாயிருக்கிறார்.

30. The way of God is a perfect way: the words of the LORD are tried in the fire: he is a shield of defense, for all them that trust in him.

31. கர்த்தரை அல்லாமல் தேவன் யார்? நம்முடைய தேவனையன்றிக் கன்மலையும் யார்?

31. For who is God, but the LORD? Or, who hath any strength, but our God?

32. என்னைப் பலத்தால் இடைகட்டி, என் வழியைச் செவ்வைப்படுத்துகிறவர் தேவனே.

32. It is God that hath girded me with strength, and made my way uncorrupt.

33. அவர் என் கால்களை மான்களுடைய கால்களைப்போலாக்கி, என் உயர்தலங்களில் என்னை நிறுத்துகிறார்.

33. He hath made my feet like hart's feet, and set me up on high.(an hye)

34. வெண்கல வில்லும் என் புயங்களால் வளையும்படி, என் கைகளை யுத்தத்திற்குப் பழக்குவிக்கிறார்.

34. He teacheth my hands to fight, and maketh mine arms to break even a bow of steel.

35. உம்முடைய இரட்சிப்பின் கேடகத்தையும் எனக்குத் தந்தீர்; உம்முடைய வலதுகரம் என்னைத் தாங்குகிறது; உம்முடைய காருணியம் என்னைப் பெரியவனாக்கும்.

35. Thou hast given me the defense of thy health, thy right hand upholdeth me, and thy loving correction maketh me great.

36. என் கால்கள் வழுவாதபடிக்கு, நான் நடக்கிற வழியை அகலமாக்கினீர்.

36. Thou hast made room enough under me for to go, that my foot steps should not slide.

37. என் சத்துருக்களைப் பின்தொடர்ந்து, அவர்களைப் பிடித்தேன்; அவர்களை நிர்மூலமாக்கும் வரைக்கும் நான் திரும்பவில்லை.

37. I will follow upon mine enemies, and take them: I will not turn till they be discomfited.

38. அவர்கள் எழுந்திருக்க முடியாதபடி அவர்களை வெட்டினேன்.

38. I will smite them, they shall not be able to stand, but fall under my feet.

39. யுத்தத்திற்கு நீர் என்னைப் பலத்தால் இடைகட்டி, என்மேல் எழும்பினவர்களை என் கீழ் மடங்கப்பண்ணினீர்.

39. Thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle, thou hast thrown them all down under me, that rose up against me.

40. நான் என் பகைஞரைச் சங்கரிக்கும்படியாக, என் சத்துருக்களின் பிடரியை எனக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தீர்.

40. Thou hast made mine enemies to turn their backs upon me, thou hast destroyed them that hated me.

41. அவர்கள் கூப்பிடுகிறார்கள், அவர்களை இரட்சிப்பார் ஒருவருமில்லை; கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறார்கள், அவர்களுக்கு அவர் பதிலளிக்கிறதில்லை.

41. They cried, but there was none to help them: yea even unto the LORD, but he heard them not.

42. நான் அவர்களைக் காற்றுமுகத்திலே பறக்கிற தூளாக இடித்து, தெருக்களிலுள்ள சேற்றைப்போல் அவர்களை எறிந்துபோடுகிறேன்.

42. I will beat them as small as the dust clay in(before) the wind, I will cast them out as the clay in the streets.

43. ஜனங்களின் கலகங்களுக்கு நீர் என்னைத் தப்புவித்தீர், ஜாதிகளுக்கு என்னைத் தலைவனாக்குகிறீர்; நான் அறியாத ஜனங்கள் என்னைச் சேவிக்கிறார்கள்.

43. Thou shalt deliver me from the strivings of the people, thou shalt make me the head of the Heathen. A people whom I have not known shall serve me.

44. அவர்கள் என் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டவுடனே எனக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகிறார்கள்; அந்நியரும் என்னிடம் கூனிக் குறுகுகிறார்கள்.

44. As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me, but the strange children dissemble with me.

45. அந்நியர் மனமடிந்து, தங்கள் அரண்களிலிருந்து தத்தளிப்பாய்ப் புறப்படுகிறார்கள்.

45. The strange children are waxen old, and go halting out of their paths.

46. கர்த்தர் ஜீவனுள்ளவர்; என் கன்மலையானவர் ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்படுவாராக; என் இரட்சிப்பின் தேவன் உயர்ந்திருப்பாராக.

46. The LORD liveth: and blessed be my helper, praised be the God of my health.

47. அவர் எனக்காகப் பழிக்குப் பழிவாங்குகிற தேவன். அவர் ஜனங்களை எனக்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்துகிறவர்.

47. Even the God which seeth that I be avenged, and subdueth the people unto me.

48. அவரே என் சத்துருக்களுக்கு என்னை விலக்கி விடுவிக்கிறவர்; எனக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்புகிறவர்களைவிட என்னை நீர் உயர்த்தி, கொடுமையான மனுஷனுக்கு என்னைத் தப்புவிக்கிறீர்.

48. It is he that delivereth me from my cruel enemies: thou shalt lift me up from them that rise against me, thou shalt rid me from the wicked man.

49. இதினிமித்தம் கர்த்தாவே, ஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளே உம்மைத் துதித்து, உம்முடைய நாமத்திற்குச் சங்கீதம் பாடுவேன்.
ரோமர் 15:9

49. For this cause I will give thanks unto thee (O LORD) among the gentiles, and sing praises unto thy name.

50. தாம் ஏற்படுத்தின இராஜாவுக்கு மகத்தான இரட்சிப்பை அளித்து, தாம் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணின தாவீதுக்கும் அவன் சந்ததிக்கும் சதாகாலமும் கிருபை செய்கிறார்.

50. Great prosperity giveth he unto his king, and sheweth loving-kindness unto David his anointed, yea and to his seed for evermore.
