1. என் பெலனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, உம்மில் அன்புகூருவேன்.

1. To him that excelleth. A Psalme of Dauid the seruant of the Lord, which spake unto the Lord the wordes of this song (in the day that the Lord delivered him for the hande of all this enemies, and form the and of saul) and sayd, I will loue thee dearely, O Lord my strength.

2. கர்த்தர் என் கன்மலையும், என் கோட்டையும், என் இரட்சகரும், என் தேவனும், நான் அடைக்கலம் புகும் என் துருகமும், என் கேடகமும், என் இரட்சணியக் கொம்பும், என் உயர்ந்த அடைக்கலமுமாயிருக்கிறார்.

2. The Lord is my rocke, and my fortresse, and he that deliuereth me, my God and my strength: in him will I trust, my shield, the horne also of my saluation, and my refuge.

3. துதிக்குப் பாத்திரராகிய கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுவேன்; அதனால் என் சத்துருக்களுக்கு நீங்கலாகி இரட்சிக்கப்படுவேன்.

3. I will call vpon the Lord, which is worthie to be praysed: so shall I be safe from mine enemies.

4. மரணக்கட்டுகள் என்னைச் சுற்றிக்கொண்டன; துர்ச்சனப்பிரவாகம் என்னைப் பயப்படுத்தினது.

4. The sorowes of death compassed me, and the floods of wickednes made me afraide.

5. பாதாளக்கட்டுகள் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டதன; மரணக் கண்ணிகள் என்மேல் விழுந்தன.

5. The sorowes of the graue haue compassed me about: the snares of death ouertooke me.

6. எனக்கு உண்டான நெருக்கத்திலே கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டேன், என் தேவனை நோக்கி அபயமிட்டேன்; தமது ஆலயத்திலிருந்து என் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டார், என் கூப்பிடுதல் அவர் சந்நிதியில் போய், அவர் செவிகளில் ஏறிற்று.

6. But in my trouble did I call vpon the Lord, and cryed vnto my God: he heard my voyce out of his Temple, and my crye did come before him, euen into his eares.

7. அவர் கோபங்கொண்டபடியால் பூமி அசைந்து அதிர்ந்தது, பர்வதங்களின் அஸ்திபாரங்கள் குலுங்கி அசைந்தன.

7. Then the earth trembled, and quaked: the foundations also of the mountaines mooued and shooke, because he was angrie.

8. அவர் நாசியிலிருந்து புகை எழும்பிற்று, அவர் வாயிலிருந்து பட்சிக்கிற அக்கினி புறப்பட்டது; அதனால் தழல் மூண்டது.

8. Smoke went out at his nostrels, and a consuming fire out of his mouth: coales were kindled thereat.

9. வானங்களைத் தாழ்த்தி இறங்கினார்; அவர் பாதங்களின்கீழ் காரிருள் இருந்தது.

9. He bowed the heauens also and came downe, and darkenes was vnder his feete.

10. கேருபீன்மேல் ஏறி வேகமாய்ச் சென்றார்; காற்றின் செட்டைகளைக் கொண்டு பறந்தார்.

10. And he rode vpon Cherub and did flie, and he came flying vpon the wings of the winde.

11. இருளைத் தமக்கு மறைவிடமாக்கினார்; நீர் கொண்டு கறுத்த கார்மேகங்களையும் தம்மைச்சூழக் கூடாரமாக்கினார்.

11. He made darkenes his secrete place, and his pauilion round about him, euen darkenesse of waters, and cloudes of the ayre.

12. அவருடைய சந்நிதிப் பிரகாசத்தினால் அவருடைய மேகங்கள், கல்மழையும் நெருப்புத்தழலையும் பொழிந்தன.

12. At the brightnes of his presence his clouds passed, haylestones and coles of fire.

13. கர்த்தர் வானங்களிலே குமுறினார், உன்னதமானவர் தமது சத்தத்தைத் தொனிக்கப்பண்ணினார்; கல்மழையும் நெருப்புத்தழலும் பொழிந்தன.

13. The Lord also thundred in the heauen, and the Highest gaue his voyce, haylestones and coales of fire.

14. தம்முடைய அம்புகளை எய்து, அவர்களைச் சிதறடித்தார்; மின்னல்களைப் பிரயோகித்து, அவர்களைக் கலங்கப்பண்ணினார்.

14. Then hee sent out his arrowes and scattred them, and he increased lightnings and destroyed them.

15. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய கண்டிதத்தினாலும் உம்முடைய நாசியின் சுவாசக்காற்றினாலும் தண்ணீர்களின் ஆழங்கள் தென்பட்டன, பூதலத்தின் அஸ்திபாரங்கள் வெளிப்பட்டன.

15. And the chanels of waters were seene, and the foundations of the worlde were discouered at thy rebuking, O Lord, at the blasting of the breath of thy nostrels.

16. உயரத்திலிருந்து அவர் கைநீட்டி, என்னைப் பிடித்து, ஜலப்பிரவாகத்திலிருந்து என்னைத் தூக்கிவிட்டார்.

16. He hath sent downe from aboue and taken mee: hee hath drawen mee out of many waters.

17. என்னிலும் பலவான்களாயிருந்த என் பலத்த சத்துருவுக்கும் என்னைப் பகைக்கிறவர்களுக்கும் என்னை விடுவித்தார்.

17. He hath deliuered mee from my strong enemie, and from them which hate me: for they were too strong for me.

18. என் ஆபத்துநாளில் எனக்கு எதிரிட்டு வந்தார்கள்; கர்த்தரோ எனக்கு ஆதரவாயிருந்தார்.

18. They preuented me in the day of my calamitie: but the Lord was my stay.

19. என்மேல் அவர் பிரியமாயிருந்தபடியால்பிரியமாயிருந்தபடியால், விசாலமான இடத்திலே என்னைக் கொண்டுவந்து, என்னைத் தப்புவித்தார்.

19. Hee brought mee foorth also into a large place: hee deliuered mee because hee fauoured me.

20. கர்த்தர் என் நீதிக்குத்தக்கதாக எனக்குப் பதிலளித்தார்; என் கைகளின் சுத்தத்திற்குத்தக்கதாக எனக்குச் சரிக்கட்டினார்.

20. The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousnes: according to the purenes of mine hands he recompensed me:

21. ஏனெனில் கர்த்தருடைய வழிகளைக் கைக்கொண்டுவந்தேன்; நான் என் தேவனைவிட்டுத் துன்மார்க்கமாய் விலகினதில்லை.

21. Because I kept the wayes of the Lord, and did not wickedly against my God.

22. அவருடைய நியாயங்களையெல்லாம் எனக்கு முன்பாக இருக்கின்றன; அவருடைய பிரமாணங்களை நான் தள்ளிப்போடவில்லை.

22. For all his Lawes were before mee, and I did not cast away his commandements from mee.

23. அவர் முன்பாக நான் உத்தமனாயிருந்து, என் துர்க்குணத்துக்கு என்னை விலக்கிக் காத்துக்கொண்டேன்.

23. I was vpright also with him, and haue kept me from my wickednes.

24. ஆகையால் கர்த்தர் என் நீதிக்குத் தக்கதாகவும், தம்முடைய கண்களுக்கு முன்னிருக்கிற என் கைகளின் சுத்தத்திற்கும் தக்கதாகவும் எனக்குப் பலனளித்தார்.

24. Therefore the Lord rewarded me according to my righteousnesse, and according to the purenes of mine hands in his sight.

25. தயவுள்ளவனுக்கு நீர் தயவுள்ளவராகவும், உத்தமனுக்கு நீர் உத்தமராகவும்;

25. With the godly thou wilt shewe thy selfe godly: with the vpright man thou wilt shew thy selfe vpright.

26. புனிதனுக்கு நீர் புனிதராகவும், மாறுபாடுள்ளவனுக்கு நீர் மாறுபடுகிறவராகவும் தோன்றுவீர்.

26. With the pure thou wilt shewe thy selfe pure, and with the froward thou wilt shewe thy selfe froward.

27. தேவரீர் சிறுமைப்பட்ட ஜனத்தை இரட்சிப்பீர்; மேட்டிமையான கண்களைத் தாழ்த்துவீர்.

27. Thus thou wilt saue the poore people, and wilt cast downe the proude lookes.

28. தேவரீர் என் விளக்கை ஏற்றுவீர்; என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் என் இருளை வெளிச்சமாக்குவார்.

28. Surely thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God wil lighten my darkenes.

29. உம்மாலே ஒரு சேனைக்குள் பாய்ந்துபோவேன்; என் தேவனாலே ஒரு மதிலைத் தாண்டுவேன்.

29. For by thee I haue broken through an hoste, and by my God I haue leaped ouer a wall.

30. தேவனுடைய வழி உத்தமமானது; கர்த்தருடைய வசனம் புடமிடப்பட்டது; தம்மை நம்புகிற அனைவருக்கும் அவர் கேடகமாயிருக்கிறார்.

30. The way of God is vncorrupt: the worde of the Lord is tried in the fire: he is a shield to all that trust in him.

31. கர்த்தரை அல்லாமல் தேவன் யார்? நம்முடைய தேவனையன்றிக் கன்மலையும் யார்?

31. For who is God besides the Lord? and who is mightie saue our God?

32. என்னைப் பலத்தால் இடைகட்டி, என் வழியைச் செவ்வைப்படுத்துகிறவர் தேவனே.

32. God girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way vpright.

33. அவர் என் கால்களை மான்களுடைய கால்களைப்போலாக்கி, என் உயர்தலங்களில் என்னை நிறுத்துகிறார்.

33. He maketh my feete like hindes feete, and setteth me vpon mine high places.

34. வெண்கல வில்லும் என் புயங்களால் வளையும்படி, என் கைகளை யுத்தத்திற்குப் பழக்குவிக்கிறார்.

34. He teacheth mine hands to fight: so that a bowe of brasse is broken with mine armes.

35. உம்முடைய இரட்சிப்பின் கேடகத்தையும் எனக்குத் தந்தீர்; உம்முடைய வலதுகரம் என்னைத் தாங்குகிறது; உம்முடைய காருணியம் என்னைப் பெரியவனாக்கும்.

35. Thou hast also giuen me the shield of thy saluation, and thy right hand hath stayed me, and thy louing kindenes hath caused me to increase.

36. என் கால்கள் வழுவாதபடிக்கு, நான் நடக்கிற வழியை அகலமாக்கினீர்.

36. Thou hast enlarged my steps vnder mee, and mine heeles haue not slid.

37. என் சத்துருக்களைப் பின்தொடர்ந்து, அவர்களைப் பிடித்தேன்; அவர்களை நிர்மூலமாக்கும் வரைக்கும் நான் திரும்பவில்லை.

37. I haue pursued mine enemies, and taken them, and haue not turned againe till I had consumed them.

38. அவர்கள் எழுந்திருக்க முடியாதபடி அவர்களை வெட்டினேன்.

38. I haue wounded them, that they were not able to rise: they are fallen vnder my feete.

39. யுத்தத்திற்கு நீர் என்னைப் பலத்தால் இடைகட்டி, என்மேல் எழும்பினவர்களை என் கீழ் மடங்கப்பண்ணினீர்.

39. For thou hast girded me with strength to battell: them, that rose against me, thou hast subdued vnder me.

40. நான் என் பகைஞரைச் சங்கரிக்கும்படியாக, என் சத்துருக்களின் பிடரியை எனக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தீர்.

40. And thou hast giuen me the neckes of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.

41. அவர்கள் கூப்பிடுகிறார்கள், அவர்களை இரட்சிப்பார் ஒருவருமில்லை; கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறார்கள், அவர்களுக்கு அவர் பதிலளிக்கிறதில்லை.

41. They cryed but there was none to saue them, euen vnto the Lord, but hee answered them not.

42. நான் அவர்களைக் காற்றுமுகத்திலே பறக்கிற தூளாக இடித்து, தெருக்களிலுள்ள சேற்றைப்போல் அவர்களை எறிந்துபோடுகிறேன்.

42. Then I did beate them small as the dust before the winde: I did treade them flat as the clay in the streetes.

43. ஜனங்களின் கலகங்களுக்கு நீர் என்னைத் தப்புவித்தீர், ஜாதிகளுக்கு என்னைத் தலைவனாக்குகிறீர்; நான் அறியாத ஜனங்கள் என்னைச் சேவிக்கிறார்கள்.

43. Thou hast deliuered me from the contentions of the people: thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people, whom I haue not knowen, shall serue me.

44. அவர்கள் என் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டவுடனே எனக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகிறார்கள்; அந்நியரும் என்னிடம் கூனிக் குறுகுகிறார்கள்.

44. As soone as they heare, they shall obey me: the strangers shall be in subiection to me.

45. அந்நியர் மனமடிந்து, தங்கள் அரண்களிலிருந்து தத்தளிப்பாய்ப் புறப்படுகிறார்கள்.

45. Strangers shall shrinke away, and feare in their priuie chambers.

46. கர்த்தர் ஜீவனுள்ளவர்; என் கன்மலையானவர் ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்படுவாராக; என் இரட்சிப்பின் தேவன் உயர்ந்திருப்பாராக.

46. Let the Lord liue, and blessed be my strength, and the God of my saluation be exalted.

47. அவர் எனக்காகப் பழிக்குப் பழிவாங்குகிற தேவன். அவர் ஜனங்களை எனக்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்துகிறவர்.

47. It is God that giueth me power to auenge me, and subdueth the people vnder me.

48. அவரே என் சத்துருக்களுக்கு என்னை விலக்கி விடுவிக்கிறவர்; எனக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்புகிறவர்களைவிட என்னை நீர் உயர்த்தி, கொடுமையான மனுஷனுக்கு என்னைத் தப்புவிக்கிறீர்.

48. O my deliuerer from mine enemies, euen thou hast set mee vp from them, that rose against me: thou hast deliuered mee from the cruell man.

49. இதினிமித்தம் கர்த்தாவே, ஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளே உம்மைத் துதித்து, உம்முடைய நாமத்திற்குச் சங்கீதம் பாடுவேன்.
ரோமர் 15:9

49. Therefore I will prayse thee, O Lord, among the nations, and wil sing vnto thy Name.

50. தாம் ஏற்படுத்தின இராஜாவுக்கு மகத்தான இரட்சிப்பை அளித்து, தாம் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணின தாவீதுக்கும் அவன் சந்ததிக்கும் சதாகாலமும் கிருபை செய்கிறார்.

50. Great deliuerances giueth hee vnto his King, and sheweth mercie to his anoynted, euen to Dauid, and to his seede for euer.
