1. கர்த்தாவே, நீர் என்னை ஆராய்ந்து, அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்.
ரோமர் 8:27

1. To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. O LORD, you have searched me [thoroughly] and have known me.

2. என் உட்காருதலையும் என் எழுந்திருக்குதலையும் நீர் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்; என் நினைவுகளைத் தூரத்திலிருந்து அறிகிறீர்.

2. You know my downsitting and my uprising; You understand my thought afar off. [Matt. 9:4; John 2:24, 25.]

3. நான் நடந்தாலும் படுத்திருந்தாலும் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்திருக்கிறீர்; என் வழிகளெல்லாம் உமக்குத் தெரியும்.

3. You sift and search out my path and my lying down, and You are acquainted with all my ways.

4. என் நாவில் சொல் பிறவாததற்கு முன்னே, இதோ, கர்த்தாவே, அதையெல்லாம் நீர் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்.

4. For there is not a word in my tongue [still unuttered], but, behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. [Heb. 4:13.]

5. முற்புறத்திலும் பிற்புறத்திலும் நீர் என்னை நெருக்கி, உமது கரத்தை என்மேல் வைக்கிறீர்.

5. You have beset me and shut me in--behind and before, and You have laid Your hand upon me.

6. இந்த அறிவு எனக்கு மிகுந்த ஆச்சரியமும், எனக்கு எட்டாத உயரமுமாயிருக்கிறது.

6. Your [infinite] knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high above me, I cannot reach it.

7. உம்முடைய ஆவிக்கு மறைவாக எங்கே போவேன்? உம்முடைய சமுகத்தைவிட்டு எங்கே ஓடுவேன்?

7. Where could I go from Your Spirit? Or where could I flee from Your presence?

8. நான் வானத்திற்கு ஏறினாலும், நீர் அங்கே இருக்கிறீர்; நான் பாதாளத்தில் படுக்கை போட்டாலும், நீர் அங்கேயும் இருக்கிறீர்.

8. If I ascend up into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol (the place of the dead), behold, You are there. [Rom. 11:33.]

9. நான் விடியற்காலத்துச் செட்டைகளை எடுத்து, சமுத்திரத்தின் கடையாந்தரங்களிலே போய்த் தங்கினாலும்,

9. If I take the wings of the morning or dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,

10. அங்கேயும் உமது கை என்னை நடத்தும், உமது வலதுகரம் என்னைப் பிடிக்கும்.

10. Even there shall Your hand lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.

11. இருள் என்னை மூடிக்கொள்ளுமென்றாலும், இரவும் என்னைச் சுற்றி வெளிச்சமாயிருக்கும்.

11. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me and the night shall be [the only] light about me,

12. உமக்கு மறைவாக இருளும் அந்தகாரப்படுத்தாது; இரவும் பகலைப்போல வெளிச்சமாயிருக்கும்; உமக்கு இருளும் வெளிச்சமும் சரி.

12. Even the darkness hides nothing from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You. [Dan. 2:22.]

13. நீர் என் உள்ளிந்திரியங்களைக் கைக்கொண்டிருக்கிறீர்; என் தாயின் கர்ப்பத்தில் என்னைக் காப்பாற்றினீர்.

13. For You did form my inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother's womb.

14. நான் பிரமிக்கத்தக்க அதிசயமாய் உண்டாக்கப்பட்டபடியால், உம்மைத் துதிப்பேன்; உமது கிரியைகள் அதிசயமானவைகள்; அது என் ஆத்துமாவுக்கு நன்றாய்த் தெரியும்.

14. I will confess and praise You for You are fearful and wonderful and for the awful wonder of my birth! Wonderful are Your works, and that my inner self knows right well.

15. நான் ஒளிப்பிடத்திலே உண்டாக்கப்பட்டு, பூமியின் தாழ்விடங்களிலே விசித்திர விநோதமாய் உருவாக்கப்பட்டபோது, என் எலும்புகள் உமக்கு மறைவாயிருக்கவில்லை.

15. My frame was not hidden from You when I was being formed in secret [and] intricately and curiously wrought [as if embroidered with various colors] in the depths of the earth [a region of darkness and mystery].

16. என் கருவை உம்முடைய கண்கள் கண்டது; என் அவயவங்களில் ஒன்றாகிலும் இல்லாதபோதே அவைகள் அனைத்தும், அவைகள் உருவேற்படும் நாட்களும், உமது புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருந்தது.

16. Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days [of my life] were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them.

17. தேவனே, உமது ஆலோசனைகள் எனக்கு எத்தனை அருமையானவைகள்; அவைகளின் தொகை எவ்வளவு அதிகம்.

17. How precious and weighty also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! [Ps. 40:5.]

18. அவைகளை நான் எண்ணப்போனால், மணலைப்பார்க்கிலும் அதிகமாம்; நான் விழிக்கும்போது இன்னும் உம்மண்டையில் இருக்கிறேன்.

18. If I could count them, they would be more in number than the sand. When I awoke, [could I count to the end] I would still be with You.

19. தேவனே, நீர் துன்மார்க்கனை அழித்தீரானால் நலமாயிருக்கும்; இரத்தப்பிரியரே, நீங்கள் என்னை விட்டு அகன்றுபோங்கள்.

19. If You would [only] slay the wicked, O God, and the men of blood depart from me--[Isa. 11:4.]

20. அவர்கள் உம்மைக் குறித்துத் துன்மார்க்கமாய்ப் பேசுகிறார்கள்; உம்முடைய சத்துருக்கள் உமது நாமத்தை வீணாய் வழங்குகிறார்கள்.

20. Who speak against You wickedly, Your enemies who take Your name in vain! [Jude 15.]

21. கர்த்தாவே, உம்மைப் பகைக்கிறவர்களை நான் பகையாமலும், உமக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்புகிறவர்களை அருவருக்காமலும் இருப்பேனோ?

21. Do I not hate them, O Lord, who hate You? And am I not grieved and do I not loathe those who rise up against You?

22. முழுப்பகையாய் அவர்களைப் பகைக்கிறேன்; அவர்களை எனக்குப் பகைஞராக எண்ணுகிறேன்.

22. I hate them with perfect hatred; they have become my enemies.

23. தேவனே, என்னை ஆராய்ந்து, என் இருதயத்தை அறிந்துகொள்ளும்; என்னைச் சோதித்து, என் சிந்தனைகளை அறிந்துகொள்ளும்.

23. Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!

24. வேதனை உண்டாக்கும் வழி என்னிடத்தில் உண்டோ என்று பார்த்து, நித்திய வழியிலே என்னை நடத்தும்.

24. And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
