1. கர்த்தாவே, நீர் என்னை ஆராய்ந்து, அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்.
ரோமர் 8:27

1. Unto the end, a psalm for David.

2. என் உட்காருதலையும் என் எழுந்திருக்குதலையும் நீர் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்; என் நினைவுகளைத் தூரத்திலிருந்து அறிகிறீர்.

2. Deliver me, O Lord, from the evil man: rescue me from the unjust man.

3. நான் நடந்தாலும் படுத்திருந்தாலும் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்திருக்கிறீர்; என் வழிகளெல்லாம் உமக்குத் தெரியும்.

3. Who have devised iniquities in their hearts: all the day long they designed battles.

4. என் நாவில் சொல் பிறவாததற்கு முன்னே, இதோ, கர்த்தாவே, அதையெல்லாம் நீர் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்.

4. They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent: the venom of saps is under their lips.

5. முற்புறத்திலும் பிற்புறத்திலும் நீர் என்னை நெருக்கி, உமது கரத்தை என்மேல் வைக்கிறீர்.

5. Keep me, O Lord, from the hand of the wicked: and from unjust men deliver me. Who have proposed to supplant my steps.

6. இந்த அறிவு எனக்கு மிகுந்த ஆச்சரியமும், எனக்கு எட்டாத உயரமுமாயிருக்கிறது.

6. The proud have hidden a net for me. And they have stretched out cords for a snare: they have laid for me a stumblingblock by the wayside.

7. உம்முடைய ஆவிக்கு மறைவாக எங்கே போவேன்? உம்முடைய சமுகத்தைவிட்டு எங்கே ஓடுவேன்?

7. I said to the Lord: Thou art my God: hear, O Lord, the voice of my supplication.

8. நான் வானத்திற்கு ஏறினாலும், நீர் அங்கே இருக்கிறீர்; நான் பாதாளத்தில் படுக்கை போட்டாலும், நீர் அங்கேயும் இருக்கிறீர்.

8. O Lord, Lord, the strength of my salvation: thou hast overshadowed my head in the day of battle.

9. நான் விடியற்காலத்துச் செட்டைகளை எடுத்து, சமுத்திரத்தின் கடையாந்தரங்களிலே போய்த் தங்கினாலும்,

9. Give me not up, O Lord, from my desire to the wicked: they have plotted against me; do not thou forsake me, lest they should triumph.

10. அங்கேயும் உமது கை என்னை நடத்தும், உமது வலதுகரம் என்னைப் பிடிக்கும்.

10. The head of them compassing me about: the labour of their lips shall overwhelm them.

11. இருள் என்னை மூடிக்கொள்ளுமென்றாலும், இரவும் என்னைச் சுற்றி வெளிச்சமாயிருக்கும்.

11. Burning coals shall fall upon them; thou wilt cast them down into the fire: in miseries they shall not be able to stand.

12. உமக்கு மறைவாக இருளும் அந்தகாரப்படுத்தாது; இரவும் பகலைப்போல வெளிச்சமாயிருக்கும்; உமக்கு இருளும் வெளிச்சமும் சரி.

12. A man full of tongue shall not be established in the earth: evil shall catch the unjust man unto destruction.

13. நீர் என் உள்ளிந்திரியங்களைக் கைக்கொண்டிருக்கிறீர்; என் தாயின் கர்ப்பத்தில் என்னைக் காப்பாற்றினீர்.

13. I know that the Lord will do justice to the needy, and will revenge the poor.

14. நான் பிரமிக்கத்தக்க அதிசயமாய் உண்டாக்கப்பட்டபடியால், உம்மைத் துதிப்பேன்; உமது கிரியைகள் அதிசயமானவைகள்; அது என் ஆத்துமாவுக்கு நன்றாய்த் தெரியும்.

14. But as for the just, they shall give glory to thy name: and the upright shall dwell with thy countenance.
