1. அதன்பின்பு இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பஸ்காவை ஆசரிக்கும்படி, எருசலேமில் இருக்கிற கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்கு வாருங்கள் என்று எசேக்கியா இஸ்ரவேல் யூதா எங்கும் ஆட்களை அனுப்பினதும் அன்றி, எப்பிராயீம் மனாசே கோத்திரங்களுக்கும் நிருபங்களை எழுதியனுப்பினான்.

1. HEZEKIAH SENT to all Israel [as well as] Judah and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh to come to the Lord's house at Jerusalem to keep the Passover to the Lord, the God of Israel.

2. பஸ்காவை இரண்டாம் மாதத்தில் ஆசரிக்கும்படி, ராஜாவும் அவனுடைய பிரபுக்களும் எருசலேமிலுள்ள சபையார் யாவரும் யோசனைபண்ணியிருந்தார்கள்.

2. For the king and his princes and all the assembly in Jerusalem took counsel to keep the Passover in the second month. [Num. 9:10, 11.]

3. For they could not keep it at the set time because not enough priests had sanctified themselves, neither had the people assembled in Jerusalem.

4. The new time pleased the king and all the assembly.

5. So they decreed to make a proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba to Dan, that the people should come to keep the Passover to the Lord, the God of Israel, at Jerusalem. For they had not kept it collectively as prescribed for a long time.

6. அப்படியே ராஜாவும் அவனுடைய பிரபுக்களும் கொடுத்த நிருபங்களை அஞ்சல்காரர் வாங்கி, ராஜாவுடைய கட்டளையின்படியே இஸ்ரவேல் யூதா எங்கும் போய்: இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரே, ஆபிரகாம் ஈசாக்கு இஸ்ரவேல் என்பவர்களுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்துக்குத் திரும்புங்கள்; அப்பொழுது அசீரியருடைய ராஜாக்களின் கைக்குத் தப்பியிருக்கிற மீதியான உங்களண்டைக்கு அவர் திரும்புவார்.

6. So the posts went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, as the king commanded, saying, O Israelites, return to the Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, that He may return to those left of you who escaped out of the hands of the kings of Assyria.

7. தங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குத் துரோகம்பண்ணின உங்கள் பிதாக்களைப்போலவும் உங்கள் சகோதரரைப்போலவும் இராதேயுங்கள்; அதற்காக, நீங்கள் காண்கிறபடியே, அவர்கள் பாழாய்ப்போகிறதற்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தாரே.

7. Do not be like your fathers and brethren, who were unfaithful to the Lord, the God of their fathers, so that He gave them up to desolation [to be an astonishment], as you see.

8. Now be not stiff-necked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to the Lord and come to His sanctuary, which He has sanctified forever, and serve the Lord your God, that His fierce anger may turn away from you.

9. நீங்கள் கர்த்தரிடத்துக்குத் திரும்பினால், உங்கள் சகோதரரும் உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளும் தங்களைச் சிறைபிடித்தவர்களுக்கு முன்பாக இரக்கம் பெறுகிறதற்கும், இந்த தேசத்திற்குத் திரும்புகிறதற்கும் அது ஏதுவாகும்; உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் கிருபையும் இரக்கமுமுள்ளவர்; நீங்கள் அவரிடத்திற்குத் திரும்பினால், அவர் தம்முடைய முகத்தை உங்களைவிட்டு விலக்குவதில்லை என்றார்கள்.

9. For if you return to the Lord, your brethren and your children shall find compassion with their captors and return to this land. For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and He will not turn away His face from you if you return to Him.

10. அப்படி அந்த அஞ்சல்காரர் எப்பிராயீம் மனாசே தேசங்களில் செபுலோன்மட்டுக்கும் ஊரூராகத் திரிந்தார்கள்; ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் இவர்களைப்பார்த்து நகைத்துப் பரிகாசம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

10. So the posts passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh, even to Zebulun, but the people laughed them to scorn and mocked them.

11. ஆகிலும், ஆசேரிலும், மனாசேயிலும், செபுலோனிலும், சிலர் மனத்தாழ்மையாகி எருசலேமுக்கு வந்தார்கள்.

11. Yet, a few of Asher, Manasseh, and Zebulun humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem.

12. யூதாவிலும் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையின்படியே, ராஜாவும் பிரபுக்களும், கட்டளையிட்ட பிரகாரம் செய்கிறதற்கு, தேவனுடைய கரம் அவர்களை ஒருமனப்படுத்திற்று.

12. Also the hand of God came upon Judah to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the Lord.

13. அப்படியே இரண்டாம் மாதத்தில் புளிப்பில்லாத அப்பப்பண்டிகையை ஆசரிக்க வெகு ஜனங்கள் எருசலேமில் மகாபெரிய சபையாய்க் கூடினார்கள்.

13. And many people came to Jerusalem to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread in the second month, a very great assembly.

14. அவர்கள் எழும்பி, எருசலேமில் உண்டான பலிபீடங்களையும், தூபபீடங்களையும் அகற்றிக் கீதரோன் ஆற்றிலே போட்டார்கள்.

14. They rose up and took away the altars [to idols] that were in Jerusalem, and all the altars and utensils for incense [to the gods] they took away and threw into the Kidron Valley [dumping place for the ashes of such abominations].

15. பின்பு இந்த இரண்டாம் மாதம் பதினாலாந்தேதியில் பஸ்காவின் ஆட்டுக் குட்டிகளை அடித்தார்கள்' ஆசாரியரும் லேவியரும் வெட்கி, தங்களைச் சுத்தம்பண்ணி, சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளைக் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்குக் கொண்டுவந்து,

15. Then they killed the Passover lamb on the fourteenth day of the second month. And the priests and the Levites were ashamed and sanctified themselves and brought burnt offerings to the Lord's house.

16. தேவனுடைய மனுஷனாகிய மோசேயின் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்கு ஏற்ற தங்கள் முறைமையின்படியே தங்கள் ஸ்தானத்திலே நின்றார்கள்; ஆசாரியர் லேவியரின் கையிலிருந்து இரத்தத்தை வாங்கித்தெளித்தார்கள்.

16. They stood in their accustomed places, as directed in the Law of Moses the man of God. The priests threw [against the altar] the blood they received from the hand of the Levites.

17. சபையிலே அநேகர் தங்களைப் பரிசுத்தம்பண்ணிக்கொள்ளாதிருந்தார்கள்; ஆகையால் சுத்தமில்லாத எல்லாரையும் கர்த்தருக்குப் பரிசுத்தம்பண்ண, லேவியர் அவர்களுக்காகப் பஸ்காவின் ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளை அடிக்கும் காரியத்தை விசாரித்தார்கள்.

17. For many were in the assembly who had not sanctified themselves [become clean and free from all sin]. So the Levites had to kill the Passover lambs for all who were not clean, in order to make them holy to the Lord.

18. அதேனென்றால் எப்பிராயீம், மனாசே, இசக்கார், செபுலோன் மனுஷரில் ஏராளமான அநேகம் ஜனங்கள் தங்களைச் சுத்தம்பண்ணிக்கொள்ளாதிருந்தும், எழுதியிராத பிரகாரமாகப் பஸ்காவைச் சாப்பிட்டார்கள்.

18. For a multitude of the people, many from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover otherwise than Moses directed. For Hezekiah had prayed for them, saying, May the good Lord pardon everyone

19. எசேக்கியா அவர்களுக்காக விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணி, தங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரான தேவனைத் தேடும்படிக்கு, தங்கள் இருதயத்தை நேராக்கினவர்கள் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திற்கேற்ற சுத்தாங்கம் அடையாதிருந்தாலும், கிருபையுள்ள கர்த்தர் அவர்கள் எல்லாருக்கும் மன்னிப்பாராக என்றான்.

19. Who sets his heart to seek and yearn for God--the Lord, the God of his fathers--even though not complying with the purification regulations of the sanctuary.

20. கர்த்தர் எசேக்கியாவின் விண்ணப்பத்தைக்கேட்டு, ஜனங்களுக்கு அநுகூலஞ் செய்தார்.

20. And the Lord hearkened to Hezekiah and healed the people.

21. அப்படியே எருசலேமிலே காணப்பட்ட இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் புளிப்பில்லாத அப்பப்பண்டிகையை ஏழுநாளளவும் மகா ஆனந்தத்தோடே ஆசரித்தார்கள்; லேவியரும் ஆசாரியரும் தினந்தினம் கர்த்தருக்கென்று பேரோசையாய்த் தொனிக்கும் கீதவாத்தியங்களால் கர்த்தரைத் துதித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.

21. And the Israelites who were in Jerusalem kept the Feast of Unleavened Bread for seven days with great joy. The Levites and priests praised the Lord day by day, singing with instruments of much volume to the Lord.

22. கர்த்தருக்கு அடுத்த காரியத்தில் நல்ல உணர்வுள்ள எல்லா லேவியரோடும் எசேக்கியா பட்சமாய்ப் பேசினான்; இப்படி அவர்கள் பண்டிகையின் ஏழு நாள் அளவும் புசித்து, ஸ்தோத்திரபலிகளைச் செலுத்தி, தங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரைத் துதித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.

22. Hezekiah spoke encouragingly to all the Levites who had good understanding in the Lord's work. So the people ate the seven-day appointed feast, offering peace offerings, making confession [and giving thanks] to the Lord, the God of their fathers.

23. பின்பு வேறே ஏழுநாளளவும் ஆசரிக்கச் சபையார் எல்லாரும் யோசனைபண்ணி, அந்த ஏழுநாளும் ஆனந்தத்தோடே ஆசரித்தார்கள்.

23. And the whole assembly took counsel to prolong the feast another seven days; and they kept it another seven days with joy.

24. யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய எசேக்கியா சபைக்கு ஆயிரம் காளைகளையும் ஏழாயிரம் ஆடுகளையும் கொடுத்தான்; பிரபுக்களும் சபைக்கு ஆயிரம் காளைகளையும் பதினாயிரம் ஆடுகளையும் கொடுத்தார்கள்; ஆசாரியரில் அநேகம்பேர் தங்களைச் சுத்தம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

24. For Hezekiah king of Judah gave to the assembly 1,000 young bulls and 7,000 sheep, and the princes gave 1,000 young bulls and 10,000 sheep. And a great number of priests sanctified themselves [for service].

25. யூதாவின் சபையனைத்தும், ஆசாரியரும், லேவியரும், இஸ்ரவேலிலிருந்து வந்தவர்களுடைய சபையனைத்துமாகிய இஸ்ரவேல் தேசத்திலிருந்து வந்த அந்நியரும், யூதாவில் குடியிருந்தவர்களும் மகிழ்ச்சியாயிருந்தார்கள்.

25. All the assembly of Judah, with the priests, the Levites, and all the assembly who with the sojourners came from the land of Israel to dwell in Judah, rejoiced.

26. அப்படியே எருசலேமில் மகா சந்தோஷம் உண்டாயிருந்தது; தாவீதின் குமாரனாகிய சாலொமோன் என்னும் இஸ்ரவேலுடைய ராஜாவின் நாட்கள் முதற்கொண்டு இப்படி எருசலேமில் நடந்ததில்லை.

26. So there was great joy in Jerusalem, for since the time of Solomon son of David king of Israel there was nothing like this in Jerusalem.

27. லேவியரான ஆசாரியர்கள் எழுந்து நின்று, ஜனத்தை ஆசீர்வதித்தார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய சத்தம் கேட்கப்பட்டு, அவர்களுடைய விண்ணப்பம் அவருடைய பரிசுத்த வாசஸ்தலமாகிய பரலோகத்தில் வந்து எட்டினது.

27. Then the priests and Levites arose and blessed the people; and their voice was heard and their prayer came up to [God's] holy habitation in heaven.
