1. அதன்பின்பு இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பஸ்காவை ஆசரிக்கும்படி, எருசலேமில் இருக்கிற கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்கு வாருங்கள் என்று எசேக்கியா இஸ்ரவேல் யூதா எங்கும் ஆட்களை அனுப்பினதும் அன்றி, எப்பிராயீம் மனாசே கோத்திரங்களுக்கும் நிருபங்களை எழுதியனுப்பினான்.

1. Then sent Hezekiah unto all Israel and Judah, moreover also, letters, wrote he unto Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come unto the house of Yahweh, in Jerusalem, to keep a passover unto Yahweh, God of Israel.

2. பஸ்காவை இரண்டாம் மாதத்தில் ஆசரிக்கும்படி, ராஜாவும் அவனுடைய பிரபுக்களும் எருசலேமிலுள்ள சபையார் யாவரும் யோசனைபண்ணியிருந்தார்கள்.

2. Yea, the king and his rulers and all the convocation in Jerusalem, had taken counsel, to keep the passover in the second month.

3. ஆசாரியர் போதுமானபேர் தங்களைப் பரிசுத்தம்பண்ணாமலும், ஜனங்கள் எருசலேமில் இன்னும் கூடிவராமலும் இருந்தபடியினால், அதின் காலத்தில் அதை ஆசரிக்கக்கூடாமற்போயிற்று.

3. For they were unable to keep it at that time, because, the priests, had not hallowed themselves in sufficient numbers, and, the people, had not gathered themselves unto Jerusalem.

4. இந்தக் காரியம் ராஜாவின் பார்வைக்கும் சமஸ்த சபையின் பார்வைக்கும் நியாயமாய்க் காணப்பட்டது.

4. And the thing was right, in the eyes of the king, and in the eyes of all the convocation.

5. எழுதியிருக்கிறபடி வெகுகாலமாய் அவர்கள் அதை ஆசரிக்கவில்லை; ஆகையால் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பஸ்காவை ஆசரிக்கும்படி எருசலேமுக்கு வாருங்கள் என்று பெயெர்செபாமுதல் தாண்மட்டுமுள்ள இஸ்ரவேல் தேசமெங்கும் பறைசாற்றுவிக்கத் தீர்மானம் பண்ணினார்கள்.

5. So they established a decree, to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beer-sheba even unto Dan, that they should come in to keep a passover unto Yahweh the God of Israel, in Jerusalem, for, not for a long time, had they kept it as written.

6. அப்படியே ராஜாவும் அவனுடைய பிரபுக்களும் கொடுத்த நிருபங்களை அஞ்சல்காரர் வாங்கி, ராஜாவுடைய கட்டளையின்படியே இஸ்ரவேல் யூதா எங்கும் போய்: இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரே, ஆபிரகாம் ஈசாக்கு இஸ்ரவேல் என்பவர்களுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்துக்குத் திரும்புங்கள்; அப்பொழுது அசீரியருடைய ராஜாக்களின் கைக்குத் தப்பியிருக்கிற மீதியான உங்களண்டைக்கு அவர் திரும்புவார்.

6. The runners, therefore, went with letters from the hand of the king and his rulers, throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, Ye sons of Israel, return ye unto Yahweh, God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, and he will return unto the remnant, that which is left to you, out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.

7. தங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குத் துரோகம்பண்ணின உங்கள் பிதாக்களைப்போலவும் உங்கள் சகோதரரைப்போலவும் இராதேயுங்கள்; அதற்காக, நீங்கள் காண்கிறபடியே, அவர்கள் பாழாய்ப்போகிறதற்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தாரே.

7. And be not ye like your fathers, or like your brethren, who acted unfaithfully with Yahweh, God of your fathers, who therefore delivered them up for an astonishment, as, ye yourselves, can see.

8. இப்போதும் உங்கள் பிதாக்களைப்போல உங்கள் கழுத்தைக் கடினப்படுத்தாதேயுங்கள்; நீங்கள் கர்த்தருக்கு உடன்பட்டு, அவர் சதாகாலத்துக்கும் பரிசுத்தம்பண்ணின அவருடைய பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திற்கு வந்து, உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரைச் சேவியுங்கள்; அப்பொழுது அவருடைய உக்கிரமான கோபம் உங்களை விட்டுத் திரும்பும்.

8. Now, do not stiffen your neck, like your fathers, stretch forth the hand unto Yahweh, and enter into his sanctuary which he hath hallowed unto times age-abiding, and serve Yahweh your God, that he may turn from you the glow of his anger.

9. நீங்கள் கர்த்தரிடத்துக்குத் திரும்பினால், உங்கள் சகோதரரும் உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளும் தங்களைச் சிறைபிடித்தவர்களுக்கு முன்பாக இரக்கம் பெறுகிறதற்கும், இந்த தேசத்திற்குத் திரும்புகிறதற்கும் அது ஏதுவாகும்; உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் கிருபையும் இரக்கமுமுள்ளவர்; நீங்கள் அவரிடத்திற்குத் திரும்பினால், அவர் தம்முடைய முகத்தை உங்களைவிட்டு விலக்குவதில்லை என்றார்கள்.

9. For, by your returning unto Yahweh, your brethren and your children, shall find compassion before their captors, so as to return unto this land. For, gracious and compassionate, is Yahweh your God, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye will return unto him.

10. அப்படி அந்த அஞ்சல்காரர் எப்பிராயீம் மனாசே தேசங்களில் செபுலோன்மட்டுக்கும் ஊரூராகத் திரிந்தார்கள்; ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் இவர்களைப்பார்த்து நகைத்துப் பரிகாசம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

10. So the runners were passing from city to city throughout the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, even unto Zebulun, -but they were laughing them to scorn, and mocking them.

11. ஆகிலும், ஆசேரிலும், மனாசேயிலும், செபுலோனிலும், சிலர் மனத்தாழ்மையாகி எருசலேமுக்கு வந்தார்கள்.

11. Howbeit, some, out of Asher and Manasseh and out of Zebulun, humbled themselves, and came to Jerusalem.

12. யூதாவிலும் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையின்படியே, ராஜாவும் பிரபுக்களும், கட்டளையிட்ட பிரகாரம் செய்கிறதற்கு, தேவனுடைய கரம் அவர்களை ஒருமனப்படுத்திற்று.

12. Also, upon Judah, came the hand of God, to give them one heart, to keep the commandment of the king and the rulers, as the word of Yahweh.

13. அப்படியே இரண்டாம் மாதத்தில் புளிப்பில்லாத அப்பப்பண்டிகையை ஆசரிக்க வெகு ஜனங்கள் எருசலேமில் மகாபெரிய சபையாய்க் கூடினார்கள்.

13. And there gathered themselves unto Jerusalem much people, to keep the festival of unleavened cakes, in the second month, an exceeding large convocation.

14. அவர்கள் எழும்பி, எருசலேமில் உண்டான பலிபீடங்களையும், தூபபீடங்களையும் அகற்றிக் கீதரோன் ஆற்றிலே போட்டார்கள்.

14. Then rose they up, and removed the altars, which were in Jerusalem, and, all the censers, removed they, and cast them into the Kidron ravine.

15. பின்பு இந்த இரண்டாம் மாதம் பதினாலாந்தேதியில் பஸ்காவின் ஆட்டுக் குட்டிகளை அடித்தார்கள்' ஆசாரியரும் லேவியரும் வெட்கி, தங்களைச் சுத்தம்பண்ணி, சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளைக் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்குக் கொண்டுவந்து,

15. Then slaughtered they the passover, on the fourteenth of the second month, and, the priests and the Levites, were put to shame, and hallowed themselves, and brought in the ascending-sacrifices of the house of Yahweh.

16. தேவனுடைய மனுஷனாகிய மோசேயின் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்கு ஏற்ற தங்கள் முறைமையின்படியே தங்கள் ஸ்தானத்திலே நின்றார்கள்; ஆசாரியர் லேவியரின் கையிலிருந்து இரத்தத்தை வாங்கித்தெளித்தார்கள்.

16. And they stood in their place, according to their regulation, according to the law of Moses the man of God, the priests, dashing the blood, which they received at the hand of the Levites.

17. சபையிலே அநேகர் தங்களைப் பரிசுத்தம்பண்ணிக்கொள்ளாதிருந்தார்கள்; ஆகையால் சுத்தமில்லாத எல்லாரையும் கர்த்தருக்குப் பரிசுத்தம்பண்ண, லேவியர் அவர்களுக்காகப் பஸ்காவின் ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளை அடிக்கும் காரியத்தை விசாரித்தார்கள்.

17. For there were many in the convocation, who had not hallowed themselves, but, the Levites, were over the slaughtering of the passover-lambs, for every one who was, not pure, to hallow him unto Yahweh.

18. அதேனென்றால் எப்பிராயீம், மனாசே, இசக்கார், செபுலோன் மனுஷரில் ஏராளமான அநேகம் ஜனங்கள் தங்களைச் சுத்தம்பண்ணிக்கொள்ளாதிருந்தும், எழுதியிராத பிரகாரமாகப் பஸ்காவைச் சாப்பிட்டார்கள்.

18. For, the multitude of the people, many out of Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun, had not purified themselves, for they did eat the passover, otherwise than as was written, for Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, May Yahweh the Good, put a propitiatory-covering about

19. எசேக்கியா அவர்களுக்காக விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணி, தங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரான தேவனைத் தேடும்படிக்கு, தங்கள் இருதயத்தை நேராக்கினவர்கள் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திற்கேற்ற சுத்தாங்கம் அடையாதிருந்தாலும், கிருபையுள்ள கர்த்தர் அவர்கள் எல்லாருக்கும் மன்னிப்பாராக என்றான்.

19. every one who hath prepared, his heart, to seek God, even Yahweh, God of his fathers, though not according to the purification of the sanctuary!

20. கர்த்தர் எசேக்கியாவின் விண்ணப்பத்தைக்கேட்டு, ஜனங்களுக்கு அநுகூலஞ் செய்தார்.

20. And Yahweh hearkened unto Hezekiah, and healed the people.

21. அப்படியே எருசலேமிலே காணப்பட்ட இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் புளிப்பில்லாத அப்பப்பண்டிகையை ஏழுநாளளவும் மகா ஆனந்தத்தோடே ஆசரித்தார்கள்; லேவியரும் ஆசாரியரும் தினந்தினம் கர்த்தருக்கென்று பேரோசையாய்த் தொனிக்கும் கீதவாத்தியங்களால் கர்த்தரைத் துதித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.

21. And so the sons of Israel who were found in Jerusalem kept the festival of unleavened cakes seven days, with great rejoicing, and the Levites and the priests, were offering praise unto Yahweh day by day, with loud instruments, unto Yahweh.

22. கர்த்தருக்கு அடுத்த காரியத்தில் நல்ல உணர்வுள்ள எல்லா லேவியரோடும் எசேக்கியா பட்சமாய்ப் பேசினான்; இப்படி அவர்கள் பண்டிகையின் ஏழு நாள் அளவும் புசித்து, ஸ்தோத்திரபலிகளைச் செலுத்தி, தங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரைத் துதித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.

22. And Hezekiah spake unto the heart of all the Levites who were giving good instruction respecting Yahweh, and they did eat the appointed feast seven days, sacrificing the peace-offerings, and offering praise unto Yahweh, God of their fathers.

23. பின்பு வேறே ஏழுநாளளவும் ஆசரிக்கச் சபையார் எல்லாரும் யோசனைபண்ணி, அந்த ஏழுநாளும் ஆனந்தத்தோடே ஆசரித்தார்கள்.

23. Then all the convocation took counsel, to keep seven days more, and they kept seven days, with rejoicing.

24. யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய எசேக்கியா சபைக்கு ஆயிரம் காளைகளையும் ஏழாயிரம் ஆடுகளையும் கொடுத்தான்; பிரபுக்களும் சபைக்கு ஆயிரம் காளைகளையும் பதினாயிரம் ஆடுகளையும் கொடுத்தார்கள்; ஆசாரியரில் அநேகம்பேர் தங்களைச் சுத்தம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

24. For, Hezekiah king of Judah, presented to the convocation, a thousand bullocks and seven thousand sheep, and, the rulers, presented to the convocation, a thousand bullocks and ten thousand sheep, and, priests in great numbers, hallowed themselves.

25. யூதாவின் சபையனைத்தும், ஆசாரியரும், லேவியரும், இஸ்ரவேலிலிருந்து வந்தவர்களுடைய சபையனைத்துமாகிய இஸ்ரவேல் தேசத்திலிருந்து வந்த அந்நியரும், யூதாவில் குடியிருந்தவர்களும் மகிழ்ச்சியாயிருந்தார்கள்.

25. So all the convocation of Judah, and the priests and the Levites, and all the convocation that came in out of Israel, rejoiced, also the sojourners who were coming in out of the land of Israel, and the dwellers in Judah.

26. அப்படியே எருசலேமில் மகா சந்தோஷம் உண்டாயிருந்தது; தாவீதின் குமாரனாகிய சாலொமோன் என்னும் இஸ்ரவேலுடைய ராஜாவின் நாட்கள் முதற்கொண்டு இப்படி எருசலேமில் நடந்ததில்லை.

26. Thus was there great rejoicing, in Jerusalem, for, since the days of Solomon son of David king of Israel, there had not been the like of this, in Jerusalem.

27. லேவியரான ஆசாரியர்கள் எழுந்து நின்று, ஜனத்தை ஆசீர்வதித்தார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய சத்தம் கேட்கப்பட்டு, அவர்களுடைய விண்ணப்பம் அவருடைய பரிசுத்த வாசஸ்தலமாகிய பரலோகத்தில் வந்து எட்டினது.

27. Then rose up the priests the Levites, and blessed the people, and there was a hearkening unto their voice, and their prayer entered into his holy dwelling-place, even into the heavens.
