1. கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைக்குறித்துச் சாலொமோனுக்கு உண்டாயிருந்த கீர்த்தி சேபாவின் ராஜஸ்திரீக்குக் கேள்வியானபோது, அவள் விடுகதைகளினால் அவனைச் சோதிக்கிறதற்காக,
மத்தேயு 6:29

1. And the queen of Sheba is hearing of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of Jehovah, and cometh to try him with enigmas,

2. மிகுந்த பரிவாரத்தோடும், கந்தவர்க்கங்களையும், மிகுதியான பொன்னையும் இரத்தினங்களையும் சுமக்கிற ஒட்டகங்களோடும், எருசலேமுக்கு வந்தாள்; அவள் சாலோமோனிடத்தில் வந்தபோது, தன் மனதில் இருந்த எல்லாவற்றையுங்குறித்து அவனிடத்தில் சம்பாஷித்தாள்.

2. and she cometh to Jerusalem, with a very great company, camels bearing spices, and very much gold, and precious stone, and she cometh unto Solomon, and speaketh unto him all that hath been with her heart.

3. அப்பொழுது சாலொமோன் அவள் கேட்டவைகளையெல்லாம் விடுவித்தான். அவளுக்கு விடுவிக்கக்கூடாதபடிக்கு, ஒன்றாகிலும் ராஜாவுக்கு மறைபொருளாயிருக்கவில்லை.

3. And Solomon declareth to her all her matters -- there hath not been a thing hid from the king that he hath not declared to her.

4. சேபாவின் ராஜஸ்திரீ சாலொமோனுடைய சகல ஞானத்தையும், அவன் கட்டின அரமனையையும்,

4. And the queen of Sheba seeth all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he built,

5. அவன் பந்தியின் போஜனபதார்த்தங்களையும், அவன் ஊழியக்காரரின் வீடுகளையும், அவன் உத்தியோகஸ்தரின் வரிசையையும், அவன் வஸ்திரங்களையும், அவனுடைய பானபாத்திரக்காரரையும், அவன் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்துக்குள் பிரவேசிக்கும் நடைமண்டபத்தையும் கண்டபோது அவள் ஆச்சரியத்தால் பிரமைகொண்டு,

5. and the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the standing of his ministers, and their clothing, and his butlers, and his burnt-offering that he causeth to ascend in the house of Jehovah, and there hath not been in her any more spirit.

6. ராஜாவை நோக்கி: உம்முடைய வர்த்தமானங்களையும் உம்முடைய ஞானத்தையும் குறித்து நான் என் தேசத்தில் கேட்ட செய்தி மெய்யாயிற்று.

6. And she saith unto the king, 'True hath been the word that I heard in my land, concerning thy matters and thy wisdom;

7. நான் வந்து அதை என் கண்களால் காணுமட்டும் அந்த வார்த்தைகளை நான் நம்பவில்லை; இவைகளில் பாதியாகிலும் எனக்கு அறிவிக்கப்படவில்லை என்று காண்கிறேன்; நான் கேள்விப்பட்ட பிரஸ்தாபத்தைப்பார்க்கிலும், உம்முடைய ஞானமும் செல்வமும் அதிகமாயிருக்கிறது.

7. and I gave no credence to the words till that I have come, and my eyes see, and lo, it was not declared to me -- the half; thou hast added wisdom and goodness unto the report that I heard.

8. உம்முடைய ஜனங்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்; எப்போதும் உமக்கு முன்பாக நின்று, உம்முடைய ஞானத்தைக் கேட்கிற உம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரரும் பாக்கியவான்கள்.

8. O the happiness of thy men, O the happiness of thy servants -- these -- who are standing before thee continually, who are hearing thy wisdom!

9. உம்மை இஸ்ரவேலின் சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் வைக்க, உம்மேல் பிரியங்கொண்ட உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்படுவாராக: கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலை என்றைக்கும் சிநேகிக்கிறபடியினால், நியாயமும் நீதியும் செய்கிறதற்கு உம்மை ராஜாவாக ஏற்படுத்தினார் என்றாள்.

9. Jehovah thy God is blessed who delighted in thee, to put thee on the throne of Israel; in Jehovah's loving Israel to the age He doth set thee for king, to do judgment and righteousness.

10. அவள் ராஜாவுக்கு நூற்றிருபது தாலந்து பொன்னையும், மிகுதியான கந்தவர்க்கங்களையும், இரத்தினங்களையும் கொடுத்தாள்; சேபாவின் ராஜஸ்திரீ ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோனுக்குக் கொடுத்த அவ்வளவு கந்தவர்க்கங்கள் பிற்பாடு ஒருக்காலும் வரவில்லை.

10. And she giveth to the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and spices very many, and precious stone; there came not like that spice any more for abundance that the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.

11. ஓப்பீரிலிருந்து பொன்னைக்கொண்டுவருகிற ஈராமின் கப்பல்களும், ஓப்பீரிலிருந்து மிகுந்த வாசனைமரங்களையும் இரத்தினங்களையும் கொண்டுவந்தது.

11. And also, the navy of Hiram that bore gold from Ophir, brought in from Ophir almug-trees very many, and precious stone;

12. அந்த வாசனைமரங்களால் ராஜா கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்கும் ராஜ அரமனைக்கும் ஊன்றுகால்களையும், சங்கீதக்காரருக்குச் சுரமண்டலங்களையும் தம்புருகளையும் உண்டாக்கினான்; அப்படிப்பட்ட வாசனை மரங்கள் பிற்பாடு வந்ததுமில்லை, இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் காணப்படவுமில்லை.

12. and the king maketh the almug-trees a support for the house of Jehovah, and for the house of the king, and harps and psalteries for singers; there have not come such almug-trees, nor have there been seen [such] unto this day.

13. ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் தானே சந்தோஷமாய்ச் சேபாவின் ராஜஸ்திரீக்கு வெகுமதிகள் கொடுத்ததும் அல்லாமல், அவள் விருப்பப்பட்டுக் கேட்டது எல்லாவற்றையும் அவளுக்குக் கொடுத்தான்; பின்பு அவள் தன் பரிவாரத்தோடே தன் தேசத்திற்குத் திரும்பிப்போனாள்.

13. And king Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire that she asked, apart from that which he gave to her as a memorial of king Solomon, and she turneth and goeth to her land, she and her servants.

14. சாலொமோனுக்கு வியாபாரிகளாலும், சுகந்த திரவிய வர்த்தகராலும், அரபிதேசத்து சகல ராஜாக்களாலும், மாகாணங்களின் அதிபதிகளாலும் வந்த பொன்னையல்லாமல்,

14. And the weight of the gold that hath come to Solomon in one year is six hundred sixty and six talents of gold,

15. ஒவ்வொரு வருஷத்தில் அவனுக்கு வந்த பொன் அறுநூற்று அறுபத்தாறு தாலந்து நிறையாயிருந்தது.

15. apart from [that of] the tourists, and of the traffic of the merchants, and of all the kings of Arabia, and of the governors of the land.

16. சாலொமோன் ராஜா, அடித்த பொன்தகட்டால் இருநூறு பரிசைகளைச் செய்வித்தான்; ஒவ்வொரு பரிசைக்கு அறுநூறு சேக்கல் நிறைபொன் சென்றது.

16. And king Solomon maketh two hundred targets of alloyed gold -- six hundred of gold go up on the one target;

17. அடித்த பொன்தகட்டால் முந்நூறு கேடகங்களையும் செய்வித்தான்; ஒவ்வொரு கேடகத்திற்கு மூன்று இராத்தல் பொன் சென்றது; அவைகளை ராஜா லீபனோன் வனம் என்னும் மாளிகையிலே வைத்தான்.

17. and three hundred shields of alloyed gold -- three pounds of gold go up on the one shield; and the king putteth them [in] the house of the forest of Lebanon.

18. ராஜா தந்தத்தினால் பெரிய ஒரு சிங்காசனத்தையும் செய்வித்து, அதைப் பசும்பொன்தகட்டால் மூடினான்.

18. And the king maketh a great throne of ivory, and overlayeth it with refined gold;

19. அந்தச் சிங்காசனத்திற்கு ஆறு படிகள் இருந்தது; சிங்காசனத்தின் தலைப்பு பின்னாக வளைவாயிருந்தது; உட்காரும் இடத்திற்கு இருபுறமும் கைச்சாய்மானங்கள் இருந்தது; இரண்டு சிங்கங்கள் கைச்சாய்மானங்கள் அருகே நின்றது.

19. six steps hath the throne, and a round top [is] to the throne behind it, and hands [are] on this [side] and on that, unto the place of the sitting, and two lions are standing near the hands,

20. ஆறு படிகளின்மேலும், இரண்டு பக்கத்திலும், பன்னிரண்டு சிங்கங்கள் நின்றது; எந்த ராஜ்யத்திலும் இப்படிப் பண்ணப்படவில்லை.

20. and twelve lions are standing there on the six steps, on this [side] and on that; it hath not been made so for any kingdom.

21. ராஜாவாகிய சாலோமோனுக்கு இருந்த பானபாத்திரங்களெல்லாம் பொன்னும், லீபனோன் வனம் என்கிற மாளிகையின் பணிமுட்டுகளெல்லாம் பசும்பொன்னுமாயிருந்தது; ஒன்றும் வெள்ளியினால் செய்யப்படவில்லை; சாலொமோனின் நாட்களில் வெள்ளி ஒரு பொருளாய் எண்ணப்படவில்லை.

21. And all the drinking vessels of king Solomon [are] of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon [are] of refined gold -- there are none of silver; it was not reckoned in the days of Solomon for anything,

22. ராஜாவுக்குச் சமுத்திரத்திலே ஈராமின் கப்பல்களோடேகூடத் தர்ஷீசின் கப்பல்களும் இருந்தது; தர்ஷீசின் கப்பல்கள் மூன்று வருஷத்துக்கு ஒருதரம் பொன்னையும், வெள்ளியையும், யானைத்தந்தங்களையும், குரங்குகளையும், மயில்களையும் கொண்டுவரும்.

22. for a navy of Tarshish hath the king at sea with a navy of Hiram; once in three years cometh the navy of Tarshish, bearing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.

23. பூமியின் சகல ராஜாக்களைப்பார்க்கிலும், ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் ஐசுவரியத்திலும் ஞானத்திலும் சிறந்தவனாயிருந்தான்.

23. And king Solomon is greater than any of the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom,

24. சாலொமோனின் இருதயத்திலே தேவன் அருளிய ஞானத்தைக் கேட்கிறதற்காக, சகல தேசத்தாரும் அவன் முகதரிசனத்தைத் தேடினார்கள்.

24. and all the earth is seeking the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom that God hath put into his heart,

25. வருஷாவருஷம் அவரவர் தங்கள் காணிக்கையாகிய வெள்ளிப்பாத்திரங்களையும், பொற்பாத்திரங்களையும், வஸ்திரங்களையும், ஆயுதங்களையும், கந்தவர்க்கங்களையும், குதிரைகளையும், கோவேறு கழுதைகளையும் கொண்டு வருவார்கள்.

25. and they are bringing each his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armour, and spices, horses, and mules, the matter of a year in a year.

26. சாலொமோன் இரதங்களையும் குதிரைவீரரையும் சேர்த்தான்; அவனுக்கு ஆயிரத்துநானூறு இரதங்கள் இருந்தது, பன்னீராயிரம் குதிரைவீரரும் இருந்தார்கள்; அவைகளை இரதங்கள் வைக்கும் பட்டணங்களிலும், அவர்களை எருசலேமில் தன்னிடத்திலும் வைத்திருந்தான்.

26. And Solomon gathereth chariots, and horsemen, and he hath a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, and he placeth them in the cities of the chariot, and with the king in Jerusalem.

27. எருசலேமிலே ராஜா வெள்ளியைக் கற்கள் போலவும், கேதுருமரங்களைப் பள்ளத்தாக்குகளில் இருக்கும் காட்டத்திமரங்கள்போலவும் அதிகமாக்கினான்.

27. And the king maketh the silver in Jerusalem as stones, and the cedars he hath made as the sycamores that [are] in the low country, for abundance.

28. சாலொமோன் தனக்குக் குதிரைகளையும் புடவைகளையும் எகிப்திலிருந்து அழைப்பித்தான்; ராஜாவின் வர்த்தகர் புடவைகளை ஒப்பந்த விலைக்கிரயத்திற்கு வாங்கினார்கள்.

28. And the outgoing of the horses that king Solomon hath [is] from Egypt, and from Keveh; merchants of the king take from Keveh at a price;

29. எகிப்திலிருந்து வந்த ஒவ்வொரு இரதத்தின் விலை அறுநூறு வெள்ளிக்காசும், ஒவ்வொரு குதிரையின் விலை நூற்றைம்பது வெள்ளிக் காசுமாயிருந்தது; இந்தப்பிரகாரம் ஏத்தியரின் ராஜாக்களெல்லாருக்கும், சீரியாவின் ராஜாக்களுக்கும், அவர்கள் மூலமாய்க் கொண்டுவரப்பட்டது.

29. and a chariot cometh up and cometh out of Egypt for six hundred silverlings, and a horse for fifty and a hundred, and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Aram; by their hand they bring out.
