1. கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைக்குறித்துச் சாலொமோனுக்கு உண்டாயிருந்த கீர்த்தி சேபாவின் ராஜஸ்திரீக்குக் கேள்வியானபோது, அவள் விடுகதைகளினால் அவனைச் சோதிக்கிறதற்காக,
மத்தேயு 6:29

1. And, when, the queen of Sheba, heard the report of Solomon, as pertaining to the Name of Yahweh, she came to prove him, with abstruse questions.

2. மிகுந்த பரிவாரத்தோடும், கந்தவர்க்கங்களையும், மிகுதியான பொன்னையும் இரத்தினங்களையும் சுமக்கிற ஒட்டகங்களோடும், எருசலேமுக்கு வந்தாள்; அவள் சாலோமோனிடத்தில் வந்தபோது, தன் மனதில் இருந்த எல்லாவற்றையுங்குறித்து அவனிடத்தில் சம்பாஷித்தாள்.

2. Yea she came to Jerusalem with a very heavily-laden train, of camels bearing spices, and gold in great abundance, and precious stones, and, when she was come to Solomon, she spake unto him all that was near her heart;

3. அப்பொழுது சாலொமோன் அவள் கேட்டவைகளையெல்லாம் விடுவித்தான். அவளுக்கு விடுவிக்கக்கூடாதபடிக்கு, ஒன்றாகிலும் ராஜாவுக்கு மறைபொருளாயிருக்கவில்லை.

3. and Solomon answered her all her questions, there was nothing hidden from the king, which he told her not.

4. சேபாவின் ராஜஸ்திரீ சாலொமோனுடைய சகல ஞானத்தையும், அவன் கட்டின அரமனையையும்,
லூக்கா 12:27

4. And, when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house which he had built;

5. அவன் பந்தியின் போஜனபதார்த்தங்களையும், அவன் ஊழியக்காரரின் வீடுகளையும், அவன் உத்தியோகஸ்தரின் வரிசையையும், அவன் வஸ்திரங்களையும், அவனுடைய பானபாத்திரக்காரரையும், அவன் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்துக்குள் பிரவேசிக்கும் நடைமண்டபத்தையும் கண்டபோது அவள் ஆச்சரியத்தால் பிரமைகொண்டு,

5. and the food of his table, and the seated assembly of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers with their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he ascended unto the house of Yahweh, there was in her no more spirit.

6. ராஜாவை நோக்கி: உம்முடைய வர்த்தமானங்களையும் உம்முடைய ஞானத்தையும் குறித்து நான் என் தேசத்தில் கேட்ட செய்தி மெய்யாயிற்று.

6. And she said unto the king, True, was the word which I heard in mine own land, concerning thine affairs, and concerning thy wisdom.

7. நான் வந்து அதை என் கண்களால் காணுமட்டும் அந்த வார்த்தைகளை நான் நம்பவில்லை; இவைகளில் பாதியாகிலும் எனக்கு அறிவிக்கப்படவில்லை என்று காண்கிறேன்; நான் கேள்விப்பட்ட பிரஸ்தாபத்தைப்பார்க்கிலும், உம்முடைய ஞானமும் செல்வமும் அதிகமாயிருக்கிறது.

7. Howbeit I believed not the words, until that I had come and mine own eyes had seen, and lo! there had not been told me, the half, thou dost exceed, in wisdom and prosperity, even the report which I heard!

8. உம்முடைய ஜனங்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்; எப்போதும் உமக்கு முன்பாக நின்று, உம்முடைய ஞானத்தைக் கேட்கிற உம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரரும் பாக்கியவான்கள்.

8. How happy, are thy wives, how happy, are these thy servants, who do stand before thee continually, who hear thy wisdom!

9. உம்மை இஸ்ரவேலின் சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் வைக்க, உம்மேல் பிரியங்கொண்ட உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்படுவாராக: கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலை என்றைக்கும் சிநேகிக்கிறபடியினால், நியாயமும் நீதியும் செய்கிறதற்கு உம்மை ராஜாவாக ஏற்படுத்தினார் என்றாள்.

9. Yahweh thy God be blessed, who delighted in thee, to set thee upon the throne of Israel, because Yahweh loveth Israel unto times age-abiding, therefore hath he appointed thee to be king, to execute justice and righteousness.

10. அவள் ராஜாவுக்கு நூற்றிருபது தாலந்து பொன்னையும், மிகுதியான கந்தவர்க்கங்களையும், இரத்தினங்களையும் கொடுத்தாள்; சேபாவின் ராஜஸ்திரீ ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோனுக்குக் கொடுத்த அவ்வளவு கந்தவர்க்கங்கள் பிற்பாடு ஒருக்காலும் வரவில்லை.

10. And she gave unto the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and spices in great abundance, and precious stones, there came in no more, such spice for abundance, as that which the queen of Sheba gave unto King Solomon.

11. ஓப்பீரிலிருந்து பொன்னைக்கொண்டுவருகிற ஈராமின் கப்பல்களும், ஓப்பீரிலிருந்து மிகுந்த வாசனைமரங்களையும் இரத்தினங்களையும் கொண்டுவந்தது.

11. Moreover also, the fleet of Hiram, which brought gold from Ophir, brought in, from Ophir sandal-wood in great abundance, and precious stones.

12. அந்த வாசனைமரங்களால் ராஜா கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்கும் ராஜ அரமனைக்கும் ஊன்றுகால்களையும், சங்கீதக்காரருக்குச் சுரமண்டலங்களையும் தம்புருகளையும் உண்டாக்கினான்; அப்படிப்பட்ட வாசனை மரங்கள் பிற்பாடு வந்ததுமில்லை, இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் காணப்படவுமில்லை.

12. So the king made of the sandal-wood a footpath to the house of Yahweh, and to the house of the king, lyres also and harps, for the singers, there hath neither come in such sandal-wood, nor been seen, unto this day.

13. ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் தானே சந்தோஷமாய்ச் சேபாவின் ராஜஸ்திரீக்கு வெகுமதிகள் கொடுத்ததும் அல்லாமல், அவள் விருப்பப்பட்டுக் கேட்டது எல்லாவற்றையும் அவளுக்குக் கொடுத்தான்; பின்பு அவள் தன் பரிவாரத்தோடே தன் தேசத்திற்குத் திரும்பிப்போனாள்.

13. And, when, King Solomon, had given unto the queen of Sheba, all her desire, which she asked, besides that which he gave her as the bounty of King Solomon, she turned, and went to her own land, she and her servants.

14. சாலொமோனுக்கு வியாபாரிகளாலும், சுகந்த திரவிய வர்த்தகராலும், அரபிதேசத்து சகல ராஜாக்களாலும், மாகாணங்களின் அதிபதிகளாலும் வந்த பொன்னையல்லாமல்,

14. And it came to pass that, the weight of the gold which came in unto Solomon in one year, was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold;

15. ஒவ்வொரு வருஷத்தில் அவனுக்கு வந்த பொன் அறுநூற்று அறுபத்தாறு தாலந்து நிறையாயிருந்தது.

15. besides the tribute of the subjugated, and of the travelling merchants, and of all the kings of Arabia, and the pashas of the land.

16. சாலொமோன் ராஜா, அடித்த பொன்தகட்டால் இருநூறு பரிசைகளைச் செய்வித்தான்; ஒவ்வொரு பரிசைக்கு அறுநூறு சேக்கல் நிறைபொன் சென்றது.

16. And King Solomon made two hundred shields, of beaten gold, six hundred shekels of gold, laid he upon one shield;

17. அடித்த பொன்தகட்டால் முந்நூறு கேடகங்களையும் செய்வித்தான்; ஒவ்வொரு கேடகத்திற்கு மூன்று இராத்தல் பொன் சென்றது; அவைகளை ராஜா லீபனோன் வனம் என்னும் மாளிகையிலே வைத்தான்.

17. and three hundred bucklers, of beaten gold, one hundred and fifty shekels of gold, laid he upon one buckler, and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.

18. ராஜா தந்தத்தினால் பெரிய ஒரு சிங்காசனத்தையும் செய்வித்து, அதைப் பசும்பொன்தகட்டால் மூடினான்.

18. And the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with gold from Uphaz.

19. அந்தச் சிங்காசனத்திற்கு ஆறு படிகள் இருந்தது; சிங்காசனத்தின் தலைப்பு பின்னாக வளைவாயிருந்தது; உட்காரும் இடத்திற்கு இருபுறமும் கைச்சாய்மானங்கள் இருந்தது; இரண்டு சிங்கங்கள் கைச்சாய்மானங்கள் அருகே நின்றது.

19. There were, six steps, to the throne, and there was, a circular top, to the throne, behind it, and there were supports on this side and on that, unto the place of the seat, with two lions standing beside the supports;

20. ஆறு படிகளின்மேலும், இரண்டு பக்கத்திலும், பன்னிரண்டு சிங்கங்கள் நின்றது; எந்த ராஜ்யத்திலும் இப்படிப் பண்ணப்படவில்லை.

20. and, twelve lions, were standing there, upon the six steps, on this side and on that, there had never been made the like, for any of the kingdoms.

21. ராஜாவாகிய சாலோமோனுக்கு இருந்த பானபாத்திரங்களெல்லாம் பொன்னும், லீபனோன் வனம் என்கிற மாளிகையின் பணிமுட்டுகளெல்லாம் பசும்பொன்னுமாயிருந்தது; ஒன்றும் வெள்ளியினால் செய்யப்படவில்லை; சாலொமோனின் நாட்களில் வெள்ளி ஒரு பொருளாய் எண்ணப்படவில்லை.

21. And, all the drinking vessels of King Solomon, were of gold, and, all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon, were of pure gold, none was of silver, it was accounted in the days of Solomon, as nothing.

22. ராஜாவுக்குச் சமுத்திரத்திலே ஈராமின் கப்பல்களோடேகூடத் தர்ஷீசின் கப்பல்களும் இருந்தது; தர்ஷீசின் கப்பல்கள் மூன்று வருஷத்துக்கு ஒருதரம் பொன்னையும், வெள்ளியையும், யானைத்தந்தங்களையும், குரங்குகளையும், மயில்களையும் கொண்டுவரும்.

22. For, a fleet of Tarshish, had the king, at sea, with the fleet of Hiram, once in three years, came in the fleet of Tarshish, bringing gold and silver, ivory and apes, and peacocks.

23. பூமியின் சகல ராஜாக்களைப்பார்க்கிலும், ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் ஐசுவரியத்திலும் ஞானத்திலும் சிறந்தவனாயிருந்தான்.

23. So King Solomon became greater than any of the kings of the earth, for riches and for wisdom.

24. சாலொமோனின் இருதயத்திலே தேவன் அருளிய ஞானத்தைக் கேட்கிறதற்காக, சகல தேசத்தாரும் அவன் முகதரிசனத்தைத் தேடினார்கள்.

24. And, all the earth, did seek the face of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

25. வருஷாவருஷம் அவரவர் தங்கள் காணிக்கையாகிய வெள்ளிப்பாத்திரங்களையும், பொற்பாத்திரங்களையும், வஸ்திரங்களையும், ஆயுதங்களையும், கந்தவர்க்கங்களையும், குதிரைகளையும், கோவேறு கழுதைகளையும் கொண்டு வருவார்கள்.

25. And, they, did bring every man his present vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armour, and spices, horses and mules, a rate of a year in a year.

26. சாலொமோன் இரதங்களையும் குதிரைவீரரையும் சேர்த்தான்; அவனுக்கு ஆயிரத்துநானூறு இரதங்கள் இருந்தது, பன்னீராயிரம் குதிரைவீரரும் இருந்தார்கள்; அவைகளை இரதங்கள் வைக்கும் பட்டணங்களிலும், அவர்களை எருசலேமில் தன்னிடத்திலும் வைத்திருந்தான்.

26. And Solomon gathered together chariots and horsemen, and so it was that he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, for whom he found place in the chariot cities, and near the king, in Jerusalem.

27. எருசலேமிலே ராஜா வெள்ளியைக் கற்கள் போலவும், கேதுருமரங்களைப் பள்ளத்தாக்குகளில் இருக்கும் காட்டத்திமரங்கள்போலவும் அதிகமாக்கினான்.

27. And the king caused silver in Jerusalem to be as stones, cedars also, caused he to be as the sycamores that are in the lowlands, for abundance.

28. சாலொமோன் தனக்குக் குதிரைகளையும் புடவைகளையும் எகிப்திலிருந்து அழைப்பித்தான்; ராஜாவின் வர்த்தகர் புடவைகளை ஒப்பந்த விலைக்கிரயத்திற்கு வாங்கினார்கள்.

28. And the horses that Solomon had were, an export, out of Egypt, and, a company of the merchants of the king, used to fetch, a drove, at a price,

29. எகிப்திலிருந்து வந்த ஒவ்வொரு இரதத்தின் விலை அறுநூறு வெள்ளிக்காசும், ஒவ்வொரு குதிரையின் விலை நூற்றைம்பது வெள்ளிக் காசுமாயிருந்தது; இந்தப்பிரகாரம் ஏத்தியரின் ராஜாக்களெல்லாருக்கும், சீரியாவின் ராஜாக்களுக்கும், அவர்கள் மூலமாய்க் கொண்டுவரப்பட்டது.

29. And a chariot came up and forth out of Egypt, for six hundred shekels of silver and a horse for a hundred and fifty, and, so, for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, by their means, came they forth.
