1. Now faith is the assurance of [things] hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

3. By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.

14. For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own.

39. And all these, having gained approval through their faith, did not receive what was promised,

40. அவர்கள் நம்மையல்லாமல் பூரணராகாதபடிக்கு விசேஷித்த நன்மையானதொன்றை தேவன் நமக்கென்று முன்னதாக நியமித்திருந்தார்.

40. because God had provided something better for us, so that apart from us they would not be made perfect.
