1. நான் உனக்கு முன்பாக வைத்த ஆசீர்வாதமும் சாபமுமாகிய இந்தக் காரியங்களெல்லாம் உன்மேல் வரும்போது: நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரால் துரத்திவிடப்பட்டு, எல்லா ஜாதிகளிடத்திலும் போயிருக்கும்போது, நீ உன் இருதயத்திலே சிந்தனைசெய்து,

1. When all these wordes are come vpon thee, the blessyng and the curse whiche I haue set before thee, thou shalt turne vnto thine heart, among all the nations whyther the Lorde thy God hath dryuen thee,

2. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்துக்கே திரும்பி, இன்று நான் உனக்குக் கற்பிக்கிறபடியெல்லாம், நீயும் உன் பிள்ளைகளும் உங்கள் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் உங்கள் முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும் அவருடைய சத்தத்திற்குச் செவிகொடுத்தால்,

2. And come agayne vnto the Lorde thy God, and hearken vnto his voyce in all these thynges that I commaunde thee this day, thou, and thy children, with all thine heart, and all thy soule:

3. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன் சிறையிருப்பைத் திருப்பி, உனக்கு இரங்கி, உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னைச் சிதற அடித்த எல்லா ஜனங்களிடத்திலும் இருக்கிற உன்னைத் திரும்பச் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளுவார்.

3. And the Lorde thy God wyll turne thy captiuitie and haue compassion vpon thee, and wyll turne and fetche thee agayne from all the nations among which the Lord thy God had scattered thee.

4. உன்னுடையவர்கள் வானத்தின் கடையான திசைமட்டும் துரத்துண்டிருந்தாலும், உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அங்கே இருக்கிற உன்னைக்கூட்டி, அங்கேயிருந்து உன்னைக் கொண்டுவந்து,

4. Though thou wast cast vnto the extreme partes of heauen: euen from thence wyll the Lorde thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:

5. உன் பிதாக்கள் சுதந்தரித்திருந்த தேசத்தை நீ சுதந்தரிக்கும்படிக்கு, உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அதில் உன்னைச் சேர்த்து, உனக்கு நன்மைசெய்து, உன் பிதாக்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் உன்னைப் பெருகப்பண்ணுவார்.

5. And the Lorde thy God wyll bryng thee into the lande whiche thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt enioy it: And he wyll shewe thee kindnesse, and multiplie thee aboue thy fathers.

6. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரில் நீ உன் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் உன் முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும் அன்புகூர்ந்து பிழைக்கும்படி, உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன் இருதயத்தையும் உன் சந்ததியாரின் இருதயத்தையும் விருத்தசேதனம்பண்ணி,

6. And the Lorde thy God wyll circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seede, that thou mayest loue the Lorde thy God, with all thine heart, and all thy soule, that thou mayest lyue.

7. இந்தச் சாபங்களையெல்லாம் உன் சத்துருக்களின்மேலும் உன்னைத் துன்பப்படுத்தின உன் பகைஞர்மேலும் சுமரப்பண்ணுவார்.

7. And the Lorde thy God wyll put all these curses vpon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, and that persecute thee.

8. நீயோ மனந்திரும்பி, கர்த்தரின் சத்தத்திற்குச் செவிகொடுத்து, நான் இன்று உனக்குக் கற்பிக்கிற அவருடைய எல்லாக் கற்பனைகளின்படியும் செய்வாய்.

8. But thou shalt turne, and hearken vnto the voyce of the Lorde, and do all his commaundementes which I commaunde thee this day:

9. அப்பொழுது உனக்கு நன்மை உண்டாகும்படி உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன் கைகள் செய்யும் எல்லா வேலைகளிலும், உன் கர்ப்பத்தின் கனியிலும், உன் மிருகஜீவனின் பலனிலும், உன் நிலத்தின் கனியிலும் உனக்குப் பரிபூரணமுண்டாகச் செய்வார்.

9. (And the Lorde thy God wyll make thee plenteous in al the workes of thine hande, in the fruite of thy body, and in the fruite of thy cattell, and in the fruite of thy lande, for thy wealth: For the Lorde wyll turne agayne and reioyce ouer thee to do thee good, as he reioyced ouer thy fathers.

10. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சத்தத்திற்குச் செவிகொடுத்து, இந்த நியாயப்பிரமாண புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிற அவருடைய கற்பனைகளையும் அவருடைய கட்டளைகளையும் கைக்கொள்ளும்போதும், உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்தில் உன் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் உன் முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும் திரும்பும்போதும், கர்த்தர் உன் பிதாக்கள்மேல் சந்தோஷமாயிருந்ததுபோல, உன்மேலும் உனக்கு நன்மை உண்டாகத் திரும்பவும் சந்தோஷமாயிருப்பார்.

10. If thou hearken only vnto the voyce of the Lorde thy God, to kepe his commaundementes and his ordinaunces which are written in the booke of this lawe, and if thou turne vnto the Lorde thy God with all thine heart and all thy soule.)

11. நான் இன்று உனக்கு விதிக்கிற கட்டளை உனக்கு மறைபொருளும் அல்ல, அது உனக்குத் தூரமானதும் அல்ல.

11. For the commaundement which I comaunde thee this day, is not hidden from thee, neither farre of.

12. நாங்கள் அதைக் கேட்டு, அதின்படி செய்யும்பொருட்டு, எங்கள் நிமித்தம் வானத்துக்கு ஏறி, அதை எங்களுக்குக் கொண்டுவருகிறவன் யாரென்று நீ சொல்லத்தக்கதாக, அது வானத்திலுள்ளதும் அல்ல;

12. It is not in heauen, that thou needest to say: Who shall go vp for vs to heauen, and bryng it vnto vs, that we may heare it, and do it?

13. நாங்கள் அதைக் கேட்டு, அதின்படி செய்யும்பொருட்டு, எங்கள் நிமித்தம் சமுத்திரத்தைக் கடந்து, அதைக்கொண்டுவருகிறவன் யார் என்று நீ சொல்லத்தக்கதாக, அது சமுத்திரத்திற்கு அப்புறத்திலுள்ளதும் அல்ல;

13. Neither is it beyonde the sea, that thou shouldest say: Who shall go ouer the sea for vs, and bryng it vnto vs, that we may heare it, and do it?

14. நீ அந்த வார்த்தையின்படியே செய்யும்பொருட்டு, அது உனக்கு மிகவும் சமீபமாய் உன் வாயிலும் உன் இருதயத்திலும் இருக்கிறது.

14. But the worde is very nye vnto thee, euen in thy mouth, and in thine heart, that thou do it.

15. இதோ, ஜீவனையும் நன்மையையும், மரணத்தையும் தீமையையும் இன்று உனக்கு முன்னே வைத்தேன்.

15. Beholde I haue set before thee this day, lyfe and good, death and euyll:

16. நீ பிழைத்துப் பெருகும்படிக்கும், நீ சுதந்தரிக்கப்போகிற தேசத்தில் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதிக்கும்படிக்கும், நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரில் அன்புகூரவும், அவர் வழிகளில் நடக்கவும், அவர் கற்பனைகளையும் கட்டளைகளையும் நியாயங்களையும் கைக்கொள்ளவும், நான் இன்று உனக்குக் கற்பிக்கிறேன்.

16. For where as I commaunde thee this day, to loue the Lorde thy God, to walke in his wayes, and to kepe his commaundementes, his ordinaunces, and his lawes, [yf thou so do] thou shalt lyue and multiplie, and the Lorde thy God shall blesse thee in the lande whyther thou goest to possesse it.

17. நீ கேளாதபடிக்கு, மனம் பேதித்து, இழுப்புண்டுபோய், வேறே தேவர்களைப் பணிந்து, அவர்களைச் சேவிப்பாயானால்,

17. But and yf thine heart turne away, so that thou wylt not heare, but shalt go astray and worship straunge gods, and serue them:

18. நீங்கள் சுதந்தரிக்கிறதற்கு யோர்தானைக் கடந்துபோகிற தேசத்தில் நெடுநாள் வாழாமல், நிச்சயமாய் அழிந்துபோவீர்கள் என்பதை இன்று உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கிறேன்.

18. I pronounce vnto you also this day, that ye shall surely perishe, and that ye shall not prolong your dayes vpon the lande whyther thou passest ouer Iordane to go and possesse it.

19. நான் ஜீவனையும் மரணத்தையும், ஆசீர்வாதத்தையும், சாபத்தையும் உனக்கு முன் வைத்தேன் என்று உங்கள்மேல் வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் இன்று சாட்சி வைக்கிறேன்; ஆகையால், நீயும் உன் சந்ததியும் பிழைக்கும்படிக்கு, நீ ஜீவனைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு,

19. I call heauen and earth to recorde this day agaynst you, that I haue set before you, lyfe and death, blessyng and cursyng: Therfore choose lyfe, that both thou and thy seede may lyue:

20. கர்த்தர் உன் பிதாக்களாகிய ஆபிரகாமுக்கும், ஈசாக்குக்கும், யாக்கோபுக்கும் கொடுப்பேன் என்று அவர்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்டுக் கொடுத்த தேசத்திலே குடியிருக்கும்படிக்கு, உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரில் அன்புகூர்ந்து, அவர் சத்தத்திற்குச் செவிகொடுத்து, அவரைப் பற்றிக்கொள்வாயாக; அவரே உனக்கு ஜீவனும் தீர்க்காயுசுமானவர் என்றான்.

20. That thou mayest loue the Lord thy God, and be obedient to his voyce, and cleaue vnto hym: For he is thy life, & the length of thy dayes, that thou mayest dwell vpon the earth, which the Lord sware vnto thy fathers, Abraham, Isahac, and Iacob, to geue them.
