1. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுக்கும் தேசத்தில் நீ போய்ச் சேர்ந்து, அதைக் கட்டிக்கொண்டு அதில் வாசம்பண்ணும்போது,

1. And it shall be, when you have entered into the land which the Lord your God gives you to inherit, and you have inherited it, and you have dwelt upon it,

2. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குக் கொடுக்கும் உன் தேசத்தில் நீ பயிரிடும் நிலத்தின் கனிகளிலெல்லாம் முந்தின பலனை எடுத்து, ஒரு கூடையிலே வைத்து, உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் தமது நாமம் விளங்கும்படி தெரிந்துகொண்டிருக்கும் ஸ்தானத்திற்குப் போய்,

2. that you shall take of the first of the fruits of your land, which the Lord your God gives you, and you shall put them into a basket, and you shall go to the place which the Lord your God shall choose to have His name called there.

3. அந்நாட்களில் இருக்கும் ஆசாரியனிடத்தில் சென்று, அவனை நோக்கி: கர்த்தர் எங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்க நம்முடைய பிதாக்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்ட தேசத்தில் வந்து சேர்ந்தேன் என்று இன்று உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அறிக்கையிடுகிறேன் என்பாயாக.

3. And you shall come to the priest who shall be in those days, and you shall say to him, I testify this day to the Lord my God, that I have come into the land which the Lord swore to our fathers to give to us.

4. அப்பொழுது ஆசாரியன் அந்தக் கூடையை உன் கையிலிருந்து வாங்கி, அதை உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் பலிபீடத்திற்கு முன்பாக வைக்கக்கடவன்.

4. And the priest shall take the basket out of your hands, and shall set it before the altar of the Lord your God;

5. அப்பொழுது நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் நின்று வசனித்துச் சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: என் தகப்பன் அழிவுக்கு நேரான சீரியா தேசத்தானாயிருந்தான்; அவன் கொஞ்சம் ஜனங்களோடே எகிப்துக்குப் போய், அவ்விடத்தில் பரதேசியாய்ச் சஞ்சரித்து, அங்கே பெரிய பலத்த திரட்சியான ஜாதியானான்.

5. and he shall answer and say before the Lord your God, My father abandoned Syria, and went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a small number, and became there a mighty nation and a great multitude.

6. எகிப்தியர் எங்களை ஒடுக்கி, எங்களைச் சிறுமைப்படுத்தி, எங்கள்மேல் கடினமான வேலையைச் சுமத்தினபோது,

6. And the Egyptians afflicted us, and humbled us, and imposed hard tasks on us,

7. எங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டோம்; கர்த்தர் எங்கள் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டு, எங்கள் சிறுமையையும் எங்கள் வருத்தத்தையும் எங்கள் ஒடுக்கத்தையும் பார்த்து,

7. and we cried to the Lord our God, and the Lord heard our voice, and saw our humiliation, and our labor, and our affliction.

8. எங்களைப் பலத்த கையினாலும், ஓங்கிய புயத்தினாலும், மகா பயங்கரங்களினாலும், அடையாளங்களினாலும், அற்புதங்களினாலும், எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணி,

8. And the Lord brought us out of Egypt Himself with His great strength, and His mighty hand, and His outstretched arm, and with great visions, and with signs, and with wonders.

9. எங்களை இவ்விடத்துக்கு அழைத்து வந்து, பாலும் தேனும் ஓடுகிற தேசமாகிய இந்தத் தேசத்தை எங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார்.

9. And He brought us into this place, and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.

10. இப்பொழுதும், இதோ, கர்த்தாவே, தேவரீர் எனக்குக் கொடுத்த நிலத்தினுடைய கனிகளின் முதற்பலனைக் கொண்டு வந்தேன் என்று சொல்லி, அதை உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் வைத்து, உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் பணிந்து,

10. And now behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which you gave me, O Lord, a land flowing with milk and honey; and you shall leave it before the Lord your God, and you shall worship before the Lord your God;

11. நீயும் லேவியனும், உன்னிடத்தில் இருக்கிற பரதேசியும் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்கும் உன் வீட்டாருக்கும் அநுக்கிரகம்பண்ணின சகல நன்மைகளினிமித்தமும் சந்தோஷப்படுவீர்களாக.

11. and you shall rejoice in all the good [things] which the Lord your God has given you, [you] and your family, and the Levite, and the stranger that is within you.

12. தசமபாகம் செலுத்தும் வருஷமாகிய மூன்றாம் வருஷத்திலே, நீ உன் வரத்திலெல்லாம் பத்தில் ஒன்றை எடுத்து, லேவியனும் பரதேசியும் திக்கற்ற பிள்ளையும் விதவையும் உன் வாசல்களில் புசித்துத் திருப்தியாகும்படி அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்துத் தீர்ந்தபின்பு,

12. And when you have completed all the tithing of your fruits in the third year, you shall give the second tenth to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow; and they shall eat it in your cities, and be merry.

13. நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் போய் அவரை நோக்கி: தேவரீர் எனக்குக் கொடுத்த எல்லாக் கட்டளைகளின்படியும், நான் பரிசுத்தமான பொருள்களை என் வீட்டிலிருந்து எடுத்து வந்து, லேவியனுக்கும், பரதேசிக்கும், திக்கற்ற பிள்ளைக்கும், விதவைக்கும் கொடுத்தேன்; உம்முடைய கட்டளைகளில் ஒன்றையும் நான் மீறவும் இல்லை மறக்கவும் இல்லை.

13. And you shall say before the Lord your God, I have fully collected the holy things out of my house, and I have given them to the Levite, the stranger, the orphan, and the widow, according to all commands which You have commanded me: I did not transgress Your command, and I did not forget it.

14. நான் துக்கங்கொண்டாடும்போது அதில் புசிக்கவும் இல்லை, தீட்டான காரியத்துக்கு அதில் ஒன்றும் எடுக்கவும் இல்லை; இழவுக்காரியத்துக்காக அதில் ஒன்றும் படைக்கவும் இல்லை; நான் என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் சத்தத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து, தேவரீர் எனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடி சகலமும் செய்தேன்.

14. And in my distress I did not eat of them, I have not gathered of them for an unclean purpose, I have not given of them to the dead; I have hearkened to the voice of the Lord our God, I have done as You have commanded me.

15. நீர் உமது பரிசுத்த வாசஸ்தலமாகிய பரலோகத்திலிருந்து நோக்கிப் பார்த்து, உமது ஜனங்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலரையும், நீர் எங்கள் பிதாக்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்டபடியே, எங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த பாலும் தேனும் ஓடுகிற தேசத்தையும் ஆசீர்வதியும் என்று சொல்வாயாக.

15. Look down from Your holy house, from heaven, and bless Your people Israel, and the land which You have given them, as You swore to our fathers, to give to us a land flowing with milk and honey.

16. இந்தக் கட்டளைகளின்படியும் நியாயங்களின்படியும் நீ செய்யும் பொருட்டு, இன்று உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குக் கட்டைளையிடுகிறார்; ஆகையால் உன் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் உன் முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும் அவைகளைக் காத்து நடக்கக்கடவாய்.

16. On this day the Lord your God charged you to keep all the statutes and judgments; and you shall observe and do them, with all your heart, and with all your soul.

17. கர்த்தர் எனக்கு தேவனாயிருப்பார் என்றும், நான் அவர் வழிகளில் நடந்து, அவர் கட்டளைகளையும், அவர் கற்பனைகளையும், அவர் நியாயங்களையும் கைக்கொண்டு, அவர் சத்தத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிவேன் என்றும் நீ இன்று அவருக்கு வாக்குக்கொடுத்தாய்.

17. You have chosen God this day to be your God, and to walk in all His ways, and to observe His statutes and judgments, and to hearken to His voice.

18. கர்த்தரும் உனக்கு வாக்குக்கொடுத்து உனக்குச் சொல்லியிருக்கிறபடி: நீ என்னுடைய கட்டளைகளையெல்லாம் கைக்கொண்டால், எனக்குச் சொந்த ஜனமாயிருப்பாய் என்றும்,

18. And the Lord has chosen you this day, that you should be to Him a peculiar people, as He said, to keep His commands;

19. நான் உண்டுபண்ணின எல்லா ஜாதிகளைப்பார்க்கிலும், புகழ்ச்சியிலும், கீர்த்தியிலும், மகிமையிலும் உன்னைச் சிறந்திருக்கும்படி செய்வேன் என்றும், நான் சொன்னபடியே, நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரான எனக்குப் பரிசுத்த ஜனமாயிருப்பாய் என்றும், அவர் இன்று உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றான்.

19. and that you should be above all nations, as He has made you renowned, and a boast, and glorious, that you should be a holy people to the Lord your God, as He has spoken.
