1. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுக்கும் தேசத்தில் நீ போய்ச் சேர்ந்து, அதைக் கட்டிக்கொண்டு அதில் வாசம்பண்ணும்போது,

1. Now when you have come into the land which the Lord is giving you for your heritage, and you have made it yours and are living in it;

2. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குக் கொடுக்கும் உன் தேசத்தில் நீ பயிரிடும் நிலத்தின் கனிகளிலெல்லாம் முந்தின பலனை எடுத்து, ஒரு கூடையிலே வைத்து, உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் தமது நாமம் விளங்கும்படி தெரிந்துகொண்டிருக்கும் ஸ்தானத்திற்குப் போய்,

2. You are to take a part of the first-fruits of the earth, which you get from the land which the Lord your God is giving you, and put it in a basket, and go to the place marked out by the Lord your God, as the resting-place of his name.

3. அந்நாட்களில் இருக்கும் ஆசாரியனிடத்தில் சென்று, அவனை நோக்கி: கர்த்தர் எங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்க நம்முடைய பிதாக்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்ட தேசத்தில் வந்து சேர்ந்தேன் என்று இன்று உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அறிக்கையிடுகிறேன் என்பாயாக.

3. And you are to come to him who is priest at that time, and say to him, I give witness today before the Lord your God, that I have come into the land which the Lord made an oath to our fathers to give us.

4. அப்பொழுது ஆசாரியன் அந்தக் கூடையை உன் கையிலிருந்து வாங்கி, அதை உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் பலிபீடத்திற்கு முன்பாக வைக்கக்கடவன்.

4. Then the priest will take the basket from your hand and put it down in front of the altar of the Lord your God.

5. அப்பொழுது நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் நின்று வசனித்துச் சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: என் தகப்பன் அழிவுக்கு நேரான சீரியா தேசத்தானாயிருந்தான்; அவன் கொஞ்சம் ஜனங்களோடே எகிப்துக்குப் போய், அவ்விடத்தில் பரதேசியாய்ச் சஞ்சரித்து, அங்கே பெரிய பலத்த திரட்சியான ஜாதியானான்.

5. And these are the words which you will say before the Lord your God: My father was a wandering Aramaean, and he went down with a small number of people into Egypt; there he became a great and strong nation:

6. எகிப்தியர் எங்களை ஒடுக்கி, எங்களைச் சிறுமைப்படுத்தி, எங்கள்மேல் கடினமான வேலையைச் சுமத்தினபோது,

6. And the Egyptians were cruel to us, crushing us under a hard yoke:

7. எங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டோம்; கர்த்தர் எங்கள் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டு, எங்கள் சிறுமையையும் எங்கள் வருத்தத்தையும் எங்கள் ஒடுக்கத்தையும் பார்த்து,

7. And our cry went up to the Lord, the God of our fathers, and the Lord's ear was open to the voice of our cry, and his eyes took note of our grief and the crushing weight of our work:

8. எங்களைப் பலத்த கையினாலும், ஓங்கிய புயத்தினாலும், மகா பயங்கரங்களினாலும், அடையாளங்களினாலும், அற்புதங்களினாலும், எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணி,

8. And the Lord took us out of Egypt with a strong hand and a stretched-out arm, with works of power and signs and wonders:

9. எங்களை இவ்விடத்துக்கு அழைத்து வந்து, பாலும் தேனும் ஓடுகிற தேசமாகிய இந்தத் தேசத்தை எங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார்.

9. And he has been our guide to this place, and has given us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.

10. இப்பொழுதும், இதோ, கர்த்தாவே, தேவரீர் எனக்குக் கொடுத்த நிலத்தினுடைய கனிகளின் முதற்பலனைக் கொண்டு வந்தேன் என்று சொல்லி, அதை உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் வைத்து, உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் பணிந்து,

10. So now, I have come here with the first of the fruits of the earth which you, O Lord, have given me. Then you will put it down before the Lord your God and give him worship:

11. நீயும் லேவியனும், உன்னிடத்தில் இருக்கிற பரதேசியும் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்கும் உன் வீட்டாருக்கும் அநுக்கிரகம்பண்ணின சகல நன்மைகளினிமித்தமும் சந்தோஷப்படுவீர்களாக.

11. And you will have joy in every good thing which the Lord your God has given to you and to your family; and the Levite, and the man from a strange land who is with you, will take part in your joy.

12. தசமபாகம் செலுத்தும் வருஷமாகிய மூன்றாம் வருஷத்திலே, நீ உன் வரத்திலெல்லாம் பத்தில் ஒன்றை எடுத்து, லேவியனும் பரதேசியும் திக்கற்ற பிள்ளையும் விதவையும் உன் வாசல்களில் புசித்துத் திருப்தியாகும்படி அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்துத் தீர்ந்தபின்பு,

12. When you have taken out a tenth from the tenth of all your produce in the third year, which is the year when this has to be done, give it to the Levite, and the man from a strange land, and the child without a father, and the widow, so that they may have food in your towns and be full;

13. நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் போய் அவரை நோக்கி: தேவரீர் எனக்குக் கொடுத்த எல்லாக் கட்டளைகளின்படியும், நான் பரிசுத்தமான பொருள்களை என் வீட்டிலிருந்து எடுத்து வந்து, லேவியனுக்கும், பரதேசிக்கும், திக்கற்ற பிள்ளைக்கும், விதவைக்கும் கொடுத்தேன்; உம்முடைய கட்டளைகளில் ஒன்றையும் நான் மீறவும் இல்லை மறக்கவும் இல்லை.

13. And say before the Lord your God, I have taken all the holy things out of my house and have given them to the Levite, and the man from a strange land, and him who has no father, and the widow, as you have given me orders: I have kept in mind all your orders, in nothing have I gone against them:

14. நான் துக்கங்கொண்டாடும்போது அதில் புசிக்கவும் இல்லை, தீட்டான காரியத்துக்கு அதில் ஒன்றும் எடுக்கவும் இல்லை; இழவுக்காரியத்துக்காக அதில் ஒன்றும் படைக்கவும் இல்லை; நான் என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் சத்தத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து, தேவரீர் எனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடி சகலமும் செய்தேன்.

14. No part of these things has been used for food in a time of weeping, or put away when I was unclean, or given for the dead: I have given ear to the voice of the Lord my God, and have done all you have given me orders to do.

15. நீர் உமது பரிசுத்த வாசஸ்தலமாகிய பரலோகத்திலிருந்து நோக்கிப் பார்த்து, உமது ஜனங்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலரையும், நீர் எங்கள் பிதாக்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்டபடியே, எங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த பாலும் தேனும் ஓடுகிற தேசத்தையும் ஆசீர்வதியும் என்று சொல்வாயாக.

15. So, looking down from your holy place in heaven, send your blessing on your people Israel and on the land which you have given us, as you said in your oath to our fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.

16. இந்தக் கட்டளைகளின்படியும் நியாயங்களின்படியும் நீ செய்யும் பொருட்டு, இன்று உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குக் கட்டைளையிடுகிறார்; ஆகையால் உன் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் உன் முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும் அவைகளைக் காத்து நடக்கக்கடவாய்.

16. Today the Lord your God gives you orders to keep all these laws and decisions: so then keep and do them with all your heart and all your soul.

17. கர்த்தர் எனக்கு தேவனாயிருப்பார் என்றும், நான் அவர் வழிகளில் நடந்து, அவர் கட்டளைகளையும், அவர் கற்பனைகளையும், அவர் நியாயங்களையும் கைக்கொண்டு, அவர் சத்தத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிவேன் என்றும் நீ இன்று அவருக்கு வாக்குக்கொடுத்தாய்.

17. Today you have given witness that the Lord is your God, and that you will go in his ways and keep his laws and his orders and his decisions and give ear to his voice:

18. கர்த்தரும் உனக்கு வாக்குக்கொடுத்து உனக்குச் சொல்லியிருக்கிறபடி: நீ என்னுடைய கட்டளைகளையெல்லாம் கைக்கொண்டால், எனக்குச் சொந்த ஜனமாயிருப்பாய் என்றும்,

18. And the Lord has made it clear this day that you are a special people to him, as he gave you his word; and that you are to keep all his orders;

19. நான் உண்டுபண்ணின எல்லா ஜாதிகளைப்பார்க்கிலும், புகழ்ச்சியிலும், கீர்த்தியிலும், மகிமையிலும் உன்னைச் சிறந்திருக்கும்படி செய்வேன் என்றும், நான் சொன்னபடியே, நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரான எனக்குப் பரிசுத்த ஜனமாயிருப்பாய் என்றும், அவர் இன்று உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றான்.

19. And that he will make you high over all the nations he has made, in praise, in name, and in honour, and that you are to be a holy people to the Lord your God as he has said.
