1. கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

1. The Lord said to Moses,

2. பின்னும் நீ இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரோடே சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்; இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரிலும் இஸ்ரவேலில் வாசம்பண்ணுகிற அந்நியர்களிலும் எவனாகிலும் தன் சந்ததியில் ஒரு பிள்ளையை மோளேகுக்குக் கொடுத்தால், அவன் கொலைசெய்யப்படவேண்டும்; தேசத்தின் ஜனங்கள் அவன்மேல் கல்லெறியவேண்டும்.

2. You must also tell the Israelites these things: Anyone living in Israel who gives one of their children to the false god Molech must be killed! It doesn't matter if they are a citizen of Israel or a foreigner, you must throw stones at them and kill them.

3. I will be against them and separate them from their people, because they gave their children to Molech. They showed that they did not respect my holy name. And they made my holy place unclean.

4. அவன் தன் சந்ததியில் ஒரு பிள்ளையை மோளேகுக்குக் கொடுக்கும்போது, தேசத்தின் ஜனங்கள் அவனைக் கொலைசெய்யாதபடிக்குக் கண்சாடையாயிருந்தால்,

4. Maybe the common people will ignore them. Maybe they will not kill those who gave their children to Molech.

5. But I will be against these people and their families. I will separate them from their people. I will separate anyone who is unfaithful to me and chases after Molech.

6. I will be against anyone who goes to mediums and wizards for advice. Whoever does this is being unfaithful to me. So I will separate them from their people.

7. 'Be special. Make yourselves holy, because I am the Lord your God.

8. என் கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொண்டு நடவுங்கள்; நான் உங்களைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்குகிற கர்த்தர்.

8. Remember and obey my laws. I am the Lord. And I have made you my special people.

9. தன் தகப்பனையாவது தன் தாயையாவது சபிக்கிற எவனும் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவன்; அவன் தன் தகப்பனையும் தன் தாயையும் சபித்தான், அவன் இரத்தப்பழி அவன்மேல் இருப்பதாக.

9. Whoever curses their father or mother must be put to death. They cursed their father or mother, so they are responsible for their own death!

10. ஒருவன் பிறனுடைய மனைவியோடே விபசாரம் செய்தால், பிறன் மனைவியோடே விபசாரம் செய்த அந்த விபசாரனும் அந்த விபசாரியும் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவர்கள்.

10. If a man has sexual relations with his neighbor's wife, both the man and the woman are guilty of adultery and must be put to death!

11. தன் தகப்பன் மனைவியோடே சயனிக்கிறவன் தன் தகப்பனை நிர்வாணமாக்கினபடியால், இருவரும் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவர்கள்; அவர்கள் இரத்தப்பழி அவர்கள்மேல் இருப்பதாக.

11. If a man has sexual relations with his father's wife, both the man and the woman must be put to death. They are responsible for their own death. It is as if that man had sexual relations with his father!

12. ஒருவன் தன் மருமகளோடே சயனித்தால், இருவரும் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவர்கள்; அருவருப்பான தாறுமாறு பண்ணினார்கள்; அவர்கள் இரத்தப்பழி அவர்கள்மேல் இருப்பதாக.

12. 'If a man has sexual relations with his daughter-in-law, both of them must be put to death. They have done a very bad sexual sin! They are responsible for their own death.

13. ஒருவன் பெண்ணோடே சம்யோகம்பண்ணுகிறதுபோல ஆணோடே சம்யோகம்பண்ணினால், அருவருப்பான காரியம் செய்த அவ்விருவரும் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவர்கள்; அவர்கள் இரத்தப்பழி அவர்கள்மேல் இருப்பதாக.

13. 'If a man has sexual relations with another man as with a woman, they have done a terrible sin. They must be put to death. They are responsible for their own death.

14. ஒருவன் ஒரு ஸ்திரீயையும் அவள் தாயையும் படைத்தால், அது முறைகேடு; இவ்வித முறைகேடு உங்களுக்குள் இராதபடிக்கு, அவனையும் அவர்களையும் அக்கினியில் சுட்டெரிக்கவேண்டும்.

14. 'It is a sexual sin if a man has sexual relations with a woman and her mother. The people must burn that man and the two women in fire! Don't let this sexual sin happen among your people.

15. 'If a man has sexual relations with an animal, both the man and the animal must be put to death.

16. ஒரு ஸ்திரீ யாதொரு மிருகத்தோடே சேர்ந்து சயனித்தால், அந்த ஸ்திரீயையும் அந்த மிருகத்தையும் கொல்லக்கடவாய்; இருஜீவனும் கொலைசெய்யப்படவேண்டும்; அவைகளின் இரத்தப்பழி அவைகளின்மேல் இருப்பதாக.

16. If a woman has sexual relations with an animal, you must kill the woman and the animal. They must be put to death. They are responsible for their own death.

17. ஒருவன் தன் தகப்பனுக்காவது தன் தாய்க்காவது குமாரத்தியாயிருக்கிற தன் சகோதரியைச் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு, அவன் அவளுடைய நிர்வாணத்தையும், அவள் அவனுடைய நிர்வாணத்தையும் பார்த்தால், அது பாதகம்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் ஜனங்களின் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக அறுப்புண்டு போகக்கடவர்கள்; அவன் தன் சகோதரியை நிர்வாணப்படுத்தினான்; அவன் தன் அக்கிரமத்தைச் சுமப்பான்.

17. It is a shameful thing for a brother and his sister or half-sister to marry each other and have sexual relations with each other. They must be punished in public. They must be separated from their people. The man who has sexual relations with his sister must be punished for his sin.

18. ஒருவன் சூதகஸ்திரீயோடே சயனித்து, அவளை நிர்வாணமாக்கினால், அவன் அவளுடைய உதிர ஊற்றைத் திறந்து, அவளும் தன் உதிர ஊற்றை வெளிப்படுத்தினபடியால், இருவரும் தங்கள் ஜனத்தில் இராதபடிக்கு அறுப்புண்டுபோகவேண்டும்.

18. 'If a man has sexual relations with a woman during her monthly time of bleeding, both the woman and the man must be separated from their people. They sinned because they exposed her source of blood.

19. உன் தாயினுடைய சகோதரியையும் உன் தகப்பனுடைய சகோதரியையும் நிர்வாணமாக்காயாக, அப்படிப்பட்டவன் தன் நெருங்கிய இனத்தை அவமானமாக்கினான்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் அக்கிரமத்தைச் சுமப்பார்கள்.

19. 'You must not have sexual relations with your mother's sister or your father's sister. That is a sin of incest. You must be punished for your sins.

20. ஒருவன் தன் தகப்பனின் சகோதரனுடைய மனைவியோடே சயனித்தால், அவன் தன் தகப்பனின் சகோதரனை நிர்வாணமாக்கினான்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் பாவத்தைச் சுமப்பார்கள், சந்தானமில்லாமல் சாவார்கள்.

20. 'A man must not have sexual relations with his uncle's wife. It would be like having sexual relations with his uncle. That man and his uncle's wife will be punished for their sins. They will die without children.

21. ஒருவன் தன் சகோதரன் மனைவியை விவாகம்பண்ணினால், அது அசுத்தம்; தன் சகோதரனை நிர்வாணமாக்கினான், அவர்கள் சந்தானமற்றிருப்பார்கள்.

21. It is wrong for a man to take his brother's wife. It would be like having sexual relations with his brother! They will have no children.

22. ஆகையால் நீங்கள் குடியிருப்பதற்காக நான் உங்களைக் கொண்டுபோகிற தேசம் உங்களைக் கக்கிப்போடாதபடிக்கு, நீங்கள் என் கட்டளைகள் யாவையும் என்னுடைய நியாயங்கள் யாவையும் கைக்கொண்டு நடவுங்கள்.

22. 'You must remember all my laws and rules. And you must obey them. I am leading you to your land. You will live in that country. If you obey my laws and rules, that land will not vomit you out.

23. நான் உங்களுக்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்திவிடுகிற ஜனத்தினுடைய வழிபாடுகளில் நடவாதிருங்கள்; அவர்கள் இப்படிப்பட்ட காரியங்களையெல்லாம் செய்தபடியால் நான் அவர்களை அரோசித்தேன்.

23. I am forcing other people to leave that country because they committed all those sins. I hate those sins! So don't live the way those people lived.

24. நீங்கள் அவர்கள் தேசத்தைச் சுதந்தரிப்பீர்கள் என்று உங்களோடே சொன்னேன்; பாலும் தேனும் ஒடுகிற அந்த தேசத்தை உங்களுக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுப்பேன்; உங்களை மற்ற ஜனங்களை விட்டுப் பிரித்தெடுத்த உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நானே.

24. But I have told you that you will get their land. I will give their land to you. It will be your land! It is a land filled with many good things. I am the Lord your God. 'I have treated you differently from other people.

25. ஆகையால் சுத்தமான மிருகங்களுக்கும் அசுத்தமான மிருகங்களுக்கும், சுத்தமான பறவைகளுக்கும் அசுத்தமான பறவைகளுக்கும் நீங்கள் வித்தியாசம்பண்ணி, நான் உங்களுக்குத் தீட்டாக எண்ணச்சொல்லி விலக்கின மிருகங்களாலும் பறவைகளாலும் தரையிலே ஊருகிற யாதொரு பிராணிகளாலும் உங்களை அருவருப்பாக்காதிருப்பீர்களாக.

25. So you must treat clean animals differently from unclean animals. You must also treat clean birds differently from unclean birds. Don't eat any of these unclean birds or animals or things that crawl on the ground. I have made these things unclean.

26. கர்த்தராகிய நான் பரிசுத்தராயிருக்கிறபடியினாலே நீங்களும் எனக்கேற்ற பரிசுத்தவான்களாயிருப்பீர்களாக; நீங்கள் என்னுடையவர்களாயிருக்கும்படிக்கு, உங்களை மற்ற ஜனங்களைவிட்டுப் பிரித்தெடுத்தேன்.

26. I have made you my special people. So you must be holy because I am the Lord, and I am holy.

27. அஞ்சனம் பார்க்கிறவர்களும் குறிசொல்லுகிறவர்களுமாயிருக்கிற புருஷனாகிலும் ஸ்திரீயாகிலும் கொலைசெய்யப்படவேண்டும்; அவர்கள்மேல் கல்லெறிவார்களாக; அவர்கள் இரத்தப்பழி அவர்கள்மேல் இருக்கக்கடவது என்று சொல் என்றார்.

27. 'A man or a woman who is a medium or a wizard must be put to death. The people must kill them with stones. They are responsible for their own death.'
