1. கர்த்தாவே, உமது தேசத்தின்மேல் பிரியம் வைத்து, யாக்கோபின் சிறையிருப்பைத் திருப்பினீர்.

1. To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. LORD, YOU have [at last] been favorable and have dealt graciously with Your land [of Canaan]; You have brought back [from Babylon] the captives of Jacob.

2. உமது ஜனத்தின் அக்கிரமத்தை மன்னித்து, அவர்கள் பாவத்தையெல்லாம் மூடினீர். (சேலா)

2. You have forgiven and taken away the iniquity of Your people, You have covered all their sin. Selah [pause, and calmly realize what that means]!

3. உமது உக்கிரத்தையெல்லாம் அடக்கிக்கொண்டு, உமது கோபத்தின் எரிச்சலைவிட்டுத் திரும்பினீர்.

3. You have withdrawn all Your wrath and indignation, You have turned away from the blazing anger [which You had let loose].

4. எங்கள் இரட்சிப்பின் தேவனே, நீர் எங்களைத் திருப்பிக் கொண்டுவாரும், எங்கள்மேலுள்ள உமது கோபத்தை ஆறப்பண்ணும்.

4. Restore us, O God of our salvation, and cause Your anger toward us to cease [forever].

5. என்றைக்கும் எங்கள்மேல் கோபமாயிருப்பீரோ? தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக உமது கோபத்தை நீடித்திருக்கப்பண்ணுவீரோ?

5. Will You be angry with us forever? Will You prolong Your anger [and disfavor] and spread it out to all generations?

6. உமது ஜனங்கள் உம்மில் மகிழ்ந்திருக்கும்படி நீர் எங்களைத் திரும்ப உயிர்ப்பிக்கமாட்டீரோ?

6. Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?

7. கர்த்தாவே, உமது கிருபையை எங்களுக்குக் காண்பித்து, உமது இரட்சிப்பை எங்களுக்கு அருளிச்செய்யும்.

7. Show us Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, and grant us Your salvation.

8. கர்த்தராகிய தேவன் விளம்புவதைக் கேட்பேன்; அவர் தம்முடைய ஜனங்களுக்கும் தம்முடைய பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்கும் சமாதானம் கூறுவார்; அவர்களோ மதிகேட்டுக்குத் திரும்பாதிருப்பார்களாக.

8. I will listen [with expectancy] to what God the Lord will say, for He will speak peace to His people, to His saints (those who are in right standing with Him)--but let them not turn again to [self-confident] folly.

9. நம்முடைய தேசத்தில் மகிமை வாசமாயிருக்கும்படி, அவருடைய இரட்சிப்பு அவருக்குப் பயந்தவர்களுக்குச் சமீபமாயிருக்கிறது.

9. Surely His salvation is near to those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him, [and is ready to be appropriated] that [the manifest presence of God, His] glory may tabernacle and abide in our land.

10. கிருபையும், சத்தியமும் ஒன்றையொன்று சந்திக்கும், நீதியும் சமாதானமும் ஒன்றையொன்று முத்தஞ்செய்யும்.

10. Mercy and loving-kindness and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

11. சத்தியம் பூமியிலிருந்து முளைக்கும், நீதி வானத்திலிருந்து தாழப்பார்க்கும்.

11. Truth shall spring up from the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

12. கர்த்தர் நன்மையானதைத் தருவார்; நம்முடைய தேசமும் தன் பலனைக் கொடுக்கும்.

12. Yes, the Lord will give what is good, and our land will yield its increase.

13. நீதி அவருக்கு முன்னாகச் சென்று, அவருடைய அடிச்சுவடுகளின் வழியிலே நம்மை நிறுத்தும்.

13. Righteousness shall go before Him and shall make His footsteps a way in which to walk.
