1. கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் நல்லவர், அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

1. Give thanks to Jehovah, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.

2. கர்த்தரால் சத்துருவின் கைக்கு நீங்கலாக்கி மீட்கப்பட்டு,

2. Let the redeemed of Jehovah say so, whom He redeemed from the hand of the foe;

3. கிழக்கிலும் மேற்கிலும் வடக்கிலும் தெற்கிலுமுள்ள பல தேசங்களிலுமிருந்து சேர்க்கப்பட்டவர்கள், அப்படிச் சொல்லக்கடவர்கள்.

3. and gathered them from the lands; from east and from west; from north and from south.

4. அவர்கள் தாபரிக்கும் ஊரைக்காணாமல், வனாந்தரத்திலே அவாந்தரவழியாய்,

4. They wandered in the wilderness, in a desert way; they found no city of dwelling;

5. பசியாகவும், தாகமாகவும், ஆத்துமா தொய்ந்ததாகவும் அலைந்து திரிந்தார்கள்.

5. hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them;

6. தங்கள் ஆபத்திலே கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டார்கள், அவர்கள் இக்கட்டுகளிலிருந்து அவர்களை விடுவித்தார்.

6. and they cried to Jehovah in their distress; He delivered them from their straits.

7. தாபரிக்கும் ஊருக்குப்போய்ச்சேர, அவர்களைச் செவ்வையான வழியிலே நடத்தினார்.

7. And He guided them in the right way; to go to a city of dwelling.

8. தவனமுள்ள ஆத்துமாவைக் கர்த்தர் திருப்தியாக்கி, பசியுள்ள ஆத்துமாவை நன்மையினால் நிரப்புகிறாரென்று,

8. Let them thank Jehovah for His mercy, and His wonders to the sons of man.

9. அவருடைய கிருபையினிமித்தமும், மனுபுத்திரருக்கு அவர் செய்கிற அதிசயங்களினிமித்தமும் அவரைத் துதிப்பார்களாக.

9. He satisfies the thirsty soul, and He fills the hungry soul with good.

10. தேவனுடைய வார்த்தைகளுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கலகம்பண்ணி, உன்னதமானவருடைய ஆலோசனையை அசட்டைபண்ணினவர்கள்,

10. Those who live in the darkness, and in the shadow of death, being prisoners in affliction and iron,

11. அந்தகாரத்திலும் மரண இருளிலும் வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்து, ஒடுக்கத்திலும் இரும்பிலும் கட்டுண்டு கிடந்தார்கள்.

11. because they rebelled against the Words of God, and despised the counsel of the Most High;

12. அவர்களுடைய இருதயத்தை அவர் வருத்தத்தால் தாழ்த்தினார்; சகாயரில்லாமல் விழுந்து போனார்கள்.

12. and He humbled their heart by toil; they stumbled, and none were helping;

13. தங்கள் ஆபத்திலே கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டார்கள்; அவர்கள் இக்கட்டுகளிலிருந்து அவர்களை நீங்கலாக்கி இரட்சித்தார்.

13. and they cried to Jehovah in their distress; He saved them out of their distresses;

14. அந்தகாரத்திலும் மரணஇருளிலுமிருந்து அவர்களை வெளிப்படப்பண்ணி, அவர்கள் கட்டுகளை அறுத்தார்.

14. He brought them out from darkness and the shadow of death; and He broke their bonds apart.

15. கர்த்தர் வெண்கலக் கதவுகளை உடைத்து, இருப்புத் தாழ்ப்பாள்களை முறித்தாரென்று,

15. Let them thank Jehovah for His mercy, and His wonders to the sons of man.

16. அவருடைய கிருபையினிமித்தமும், மனுபுத்திரருக்கு அவர் செய்கிற அதிசயங்களினிமித்தமும் அவரைத் துதிப்பார்களாக.

16. For He has broken the gates of bronze; and He cut bars of iron in two.

17. நிர்மூடர் தங்கள் பாதகமார்க்கத்தாலும் தங்கள் அக்கிரமங்களாலும் நோய்கொண்டு ஒடுங்கிப்போகிறார்கள்.

17. Fools are afflicted from the way of their rebellion, and from their iniquities;

18. அவர்கள் ஆத்துமா சகல போஜனத்தையும் அரோசிக்கிறது, அவர்கள் மரணவாசல்கள் பரியந்தம் சமீபிக்கிறார்கள்.

18. their soul hates every food; and they touch the gates of death;

19. தங்கள் ஆபத்திலே கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் இக்கட்டுகளுக்கு அவர்களை நீங்கலாக்கி இரட்சிக்கிறார்.

19. and they cried to Jehovah in their distress; He saved them from their straits;

20. அவர் தமது வசனத்தை அனுப்பி அவர்களைக் குணமாக்கி, அவர்களை அழிவுக்குத் தப்புவிக்கிறார்.

20. He sent His Word and healed them; and delivered them from all their pitfalls.

21. அவர்கள் கர்த்தரை அவருடைய கிருபையினிமித்தமும், மனுபுத்திரருக்கு அவர் செய்கிற அதிசயங்களினிமித்தமும் துதித்து,

21. Let them thank Jehovah for His mercy, and His wonders to the sons of man.

22. ஸ்தோத்திரபலிகளைச் செலுத்தி, அவருடைய கிரியைகளை ஆனந்த சத்தத்தோடே விவரிப்பார்களாக.

22. And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and recount His works with rejoicing.

23. கப்பலேறி, கடல்யாத்திரைபண்ணி, திரளான தண்ணீர்களிலே தொழில் செய்கிறார்களே,

23. They who go down to the sea in ships, who work in the great waters;

24. அவர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய கிரியைகளையும், ஆழத்திலே அவருடைய அதிசயங்களையும் காண்கிறார்கள்.

24. these see the works of Jehovah, and His wonders in the deep.

25. அவர் கட்டளையிட பெருங்காற்று எழும்பி, அதின் அலைகளைக் கொந்தளிக்கப்பண்ணும்.

25. For He speaks, and He raises stormy wind, and makes its waves high;

26. அவர்கள் ஆகாயத்தில் ஏறி, ஆழங்களில் இறங்குகிறார்கள், அவர்கள் ஆத்துமா கிலேசத்தினால் கரைந்துபோகிறது.

26. they go up to the heavens; they go down to the depths; their soul is melted because they are in evil;

27. வெறித்தவனைப்போல் அலைந்து தடுமாறுகிறார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய ஞானமெல்லாம் முழுகிப்போகிறது.

27. they reel and stagger like a drunken man, and all their wisdom is swallowed up;

28. அப்பொழுது தங்கள் ஆபத்திலே அவர்கள் கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறார்கள், அவர்கள் இக்கட்டுகளுக்கு அவர்களை நீங்கலாக்கி விடுவிக்கிறார்.

28. and they cry to Jehovah in their distress, and He saves them out of their straits.

29. கொந்தளிப்பை அமர்த்துகிறார், அதின் அலைகள் அடங்குகின்றது.

29. He settles the storm to a whisper, so that its waves are still;

30. அமைதலுண்டானதினிமித்தம் அவர்கள் சந்தோஷப்படுகிறார்கள்; தாங்கள் நாடின துறைமுகத்தில் அவர்களைக் கொண்டுவந்து சேர்க்கிறார்.

30. and they are glad, because they are quiet; and He led them to their desired haven.

31. அவர்கள் கர்த்தரை அவருடைய கிருபையினிமித்தமும், மனுபுத்திரருக்கு அவர் செய்கிற அதியசயங்களினிமித்தமும் துதித்து,

31. Let them thank Jehovah for His mercy, and His wonders to the sons of mankind;

32. ஜனங்களின் சபையிலே அவரை உயர்த்தி, மூப்பர்களின் சங்கத்திலே அவரைப் போற்றுவார்களாக.

32. and exalt Him in the congregation of the people; and praise Him in the seat of the elders.

33. அவர் ஆறுகளை அவாந்தரவெளியாகவும், நீரூற்றுகளை வறண்ட ஸ்தலமாகவும்,

33. He sets rivers to a wilderness, and watersprings to thirsty ground;

34. குடிகளுடைய பொல்லாப்பினிமித்தம் செழிப்பான தேசத்தை உவர் நிலமாகவும் மாற்றுகிறார்.

34. a fruitful land to a salty desert; because of the wickedness of those who live in it.

35. அவர் அவாந்தரவெளியைத் தண்ணீர்த்தடாகமாகவும், வறண்ட நிலத்தை நீரூற்றுகளாகவும் மாற்றி,

35. He puts the wilderness into pools of water; and dry land into water-springs;

36. பசித்தவர்களை அங்கே குடியேற்றுகிறார்; அங்கே அவர்கள் குடியிருக்கும் நகரத்தைக் கட்டி,

36. and He makes the hungry live there, and they may prepare a city of dwelling.

37. வயல்களை உண்டாக்கி விதைத்து, திராட்சத்தோட்டங்களை நாட்டுகிறார்கள், அவைகள் வரத்துள்ள பலனைத் தரும்.

37. And they sow the fields, and plant vineyards, and make fruits of produce.

38. அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதிக்கிறார், மிகுதியும் பெருகுகிறார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய மிருகஜீவன்கள் குறையாதிருக்கப்பண்ணுகிறார்.

38. He also blesses them, so that they multiply greatly; and He does not allow their cattle to diminish;

39. பின்பு அவர்கள் இடுக்கத்தினாலும், ஆபத்தினாலும், துயரத்தினாலும் குறைவுபட்டுத் தாழ்வடைகிறார்கள்.

39. but they are diminished and bowed down from coercion, evil and grief.

40. அவர் பிரபுக்களின்மேல் இகழ்ச்சிவரப்பண்ணி, வழியில்லாத அவாந்தர வெளியிலே அவர்களைத் திரியச்செய்து,

40. He pours scorn on nobles, and causes them to wander in a desert; there is no path.

41. எளியவனையோ சிறுமையினின்று எடுத்து, உயர்ந்த அடைக்கலத்திலே வைத்து, அவன் வம்சங்களை மந்தையைப்போலாக்குகிறார்.

41. But He raises the poor up from affliction, and He sets families like a flock.

42. உத்தமர்கள் அதைக்கண்டு மகிழுவார்கள்; நியாயக்கேடெல்லாம் தன் வாயை மூடும்.

42. The upright shall see and be glad; and all iniquity shuts its mouth.

43. எவன் ஞானமுள்ளவனோ அவன் இவைகளைக் கவனிக்கக்கடவன்; ஞானவான்கள் கர்த்தருடைய கிருபைகளை உணர்ந்துகொள்வார்கள்.

43. Whoever is wise and will observe these things, they shall discern the mercies of Jehovah.
