1. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர்: பெருங்காற்றிலிருந்து யோபுக்கு உத்தரவாக:

1. Then aunswered the Lorde vnto Iob out of the whirle winde, and saide:

2. அறிவில்லாத வார்த்தைகளினால் ஆலோசனையை அந்தகாரப்படுத்துகிற இவன் யார்?

2. What is he that darkeneth his counsaile by wordes without knowledge?

3. இப்போதும் புருஷனைப்போல் இடைகட்டிக்கொள்; நான் உன்னைக்கேட்பேன்; நீ எனக்கு உத்தரவு சொல்லு.

3. Girde vp thy loynes lyke a man: for I wyl question with thee, see thou geue me a direct aunswere.

4. நான் பூமியை அஸ்திபாரப்படுத்துகிறபோது நீ எங்கேயிருந்தாய்? நீ அறிவாளியானால் அதை அறிவி.

4. Where wast thou when I layed the foundations of the earth? Tell playnely, if thou hast vnderstanding.

5. அதற்கு அளவு குறித்தவர் யார்? அதின்மேல் நூல்போட்டவர் யார்? இதை நீ அறிந்திருந்தால் சொல்லு.

5. Who hath measured it, knowest thou? or who hath spread the lyne vpon it?

6. அதின் ஆதாரங்கள் எதின்மேல் போடப்பட்டது? அதின் கோடிக்கல்லை வைத்தவர் யார்?

6. Whereupon are the foundations set? or who layed the corner stone thereof?

7. அப்பொழுது விடியற்காலத்து நட்சத்திரங்கள் ஏகமாய்ப்பாடி, தேவபுத்திரர் எல்லாரும் கெம்பீரித்தார்களே.

7. Where wast thou when the morning starres praysed me together, and all the children of God reioyced triumphantly?

8. கர்ப்பத்திலிருந்து உதிக்கிறதுபோல் சமுத்திரம் புரண்டுவந்தபோது, அதைக் கதவுகளால் அடைத்தவர் யார்?

8. Who shut the sea with doores, when it brake foorth as out of the wombe?

9. மேகத்தை அதற்கு வஸ்திரமாகவும், இருளை அதற்குப் புடவையாகவும் நான் உடுத்தினபோதும்,

9. When I made the cloudes [to be] a covering for it, and swadled it with the darke:

10. நான் அதற்கு எல்லையைக் குறித்து, அதற்குத் தாழ்ப்பாள்களையும் கதவுகளையும் போட்டு:

10. When I gaue it my commaundement, making doores and barres for it,

11. இம்மட்டும் வா, மிஞ்சி வராதே; உன் அலைகளின் பெருமை இங்கே அடங்கக்கடவது என்று நான் சொல்லுகிறபோதும் நீ எங்கேயிருந்தாய்?

11. Saying, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shalt thou laye downe thy proude and hie waues.

12. துஷ்டர்கள் பூமியிலிருந்து உதறிப்போடப்படும்படிக்கு, அதின் கடையாந்தரங்களைப் பிடிக்கும்பொருட்டு,

12. Hast thou geue the morning his charge since thy dayes, and shewed the day spring his place,

13. உன் ஜீவகாலத்தில் எப்போதாவது நீ விடியற்காலத்துக்குக் கட்டளை கொடுத்து, அருணோதயத்துக்கு அதின் இடத்தைக் காண்பித்ததுண்டோ?

13. That it might take holde of the corners of the earth, and that the vngodly might be shaken out of it.

14. பூமி முத்திரையிடப்பட்ட களிமண்போல் வேறே ரூபங்கொள்ளும்; சகலமும் வஸ்திரம் தரித்திருக்கிறது போல் காணப்படும்.

14. They are fashioned as is the clay with the seale, and all stand vp as a garment.

15. துன்மார்க்கரின் ஒளி அவர்களை விட்டு எடுபடும்; மேட்டிமையான புயம் முறிக்கப்படும்.

15. The vngodly shall be disapointed of their light, and the arme of the proude shalbe broken.

16. நீ சமுத்திரத்தின் அடித்தலங்கள்மட்டும் புகுந்து, ஆழத்தின் அடியில் உலாவினதுண்டோ?

16. Camest thou euer into the grounde of the sea, or walkedst in the lowe corners of the deepe?

17. மரணவாசல்கள் உனக்குத் திறந்ததுண்டோ? மரண இருளின் வாசல்களை நீ பார்த்ததுண்டோ?

17. Haue the gates of death ben opened vnto thee? or hast thou seene the doores of the shadowe of death?

18. நீ பூமியின் விசாலங்களை ஆராய்ந்து அறிந்ததுண்டோ? இவைகளையெல்லாம் நீ அறிந்திருந்தால் சொல்லு.

18. Hast thou also perceaued how brode the earth is? If thou hast knowledge of all this:

19. வெளிச்சம் வாசமாயிருக்கும் இடத்துக்கு வழியெங்கே? இருள் குடிகொண்டிருக்கும் ஸ்தானமெங்கே?

19. Then shewe me the way where light dwelleth, & where is the place of darkenesse?

20. அதின் எல்லை இன்னதென்று உனக்குத் தெரியுமோ? அதின் வீட்டுக்குப்போகிற பாதையை அறிந்திருக்கிறாயோ?

20. That thou shouldest receaue it in the boundes thereof, and know the pathes to their houses.

21. நீ அதை அறியும்படி அப்போது பிறந்திருந்தாயோ? உன் நாட்களின் தொகை அவ்வளவு பெரிதோ?

21. Knewest thou afore thou wast borne how olde thou shouldest be?

22. உறைந்த மழையின் பண்டசாலைகளுக்குள் நீ பிரவேசித்தாயோ? கல்மழையிலிருக்கிற பண்டசாலைகளைப் பார்த்தாயோ?

22. Wentest thou euer into the treasures of the snow, or hast thou seene the secrete places of the hayle,

23. ஆபத்து வருங்காலத்திலும், கலகமும் யுத்தமும் வருங்காலத்திலும், பிரயோகிக்கும்படி நான் அவைகளை வைத்துவைத்திருக்கிறேன்.

23. Which I haue prepared against the time of trouble, against the time of battaile and warre?

24. வெளிச்சம் பரவப்படுகிறதற்கும், கீழ்காற்று பூமியின்மேல் வீசுகிறதற்குமான வழி எங்கே?

24. By what way is the light parted? and into what land breaketh the east winde?

25. பாழும் அந்தரவெளியுமான தரையைத் திருப்தியாக்கி, இளம்பூண்டுகளின் முளைகளை முளைக்கப்பண்ணும்படி,

25. Who deuideth the waters into diuers chanels? or who maketh a way for the lightening and thunder,

26. பூமியெங்கும் மனுஷர் குடியில்லாத இடத்திலும், மனுஷசஞ்சாரமில்லாத வனாந்தரத்திலும் மழையை வருஷிக்கப்பண்ணி,

26. To cause it to rayne on the earth where no man is, and in the wildernesse where none inhabiteth?

27. வெள்ளத்துக்கு நீர்க்கால்களையும், இடிமுழக்கங்களோடு வரும் மின்னலுக்கு வழிகளையும் பகுத்தவர் யார்?

27. To satisfie the desolate and waste grounde, and to cause the budde of the hearbe to spring foorth.

28. மழைக்கு ஒரு தகப்பனுண்டோ? பனித்துளிகளை ஜநிப்பித்தவர் யார்?

28. Who is the father of the rayne? or who hath begotten the droppes of the deawe?

29. உறைந்த தண்ணீர் யாருடைய வயிற்றிலிருந்து புறப்படுகிறது? ஆகாயத்தினுடைய உறைந்த பனியைப் பெற்றவர் யார்?

29. Out of whose wombe came the yce? Who hath gendred the coldnesse of the ayre?

30. ஜலம் கல்லுருவங்கொண்டு மறைந்து, ஆழத்தின் முகம் கெட்டியாய் உறைந்திருக்கிறதே.

30. That the waters are hidde as [with] a stone, and lye congealed aboue the deepe.

31. அறுமீன் நட்சத்திரத்தின் சுகிர்த சம்பந்தத்தை நீ இணைக்கக்கூடுமோ? அல்லது மிருகசீரிஷத்தின் கட்டுகளை அவிழ்ப்பாயோ?

31. Wylt thou hinder the sweete influences of the seuen starres? or loose the bandes of Orion?

32. இராசிகளை அதினதின் காலத்திலே வரப்பண்ணுவாயோ? துருவச்சக்கர நட்சத்திரத்தையும் அதைச் சேர்ந்த நட்சத்திரங்களையும் வழிநடத்துவாயோ?

32. Canst thou bring foorth Mazzaroth in their time? canst thou also guide Arctutus with his sonnes?

33. வானத்தின் நியமங்களை நீ அறிவாயோ? அது பூமியையாளும் ஆளுகையை நீ திட்டம்பண்ணுவாயோ?

33. Knowest thou the course of heauen, that thou mayest set vp the ordinaunce thereof vpon the earth?

34. ஏராளமான தண்ணீர் உன்மேல் சொரியவேணும் என்று உன் சத்தத்தை மேகங்கள் பரியந்தம் உயர்த்துவாயோ?

34. Moreouer, canst thou lift vp thy voyce to the cloudes, that they may powre downe a great rayne vpon thee?

35. நீ மின்னல்களை அழைத்தனுப்பி, அவைகள் புறப்பட்டுவந்து: இதோ, இங்கேயிருக்கிறோம் என்று உனக்குச் சொல்லும்படி செய்வாயோ?

35. Canst thou send the lightninges also, that they may go their way, and be obedient vnto thee, saying, Lo here are we?

36. அந்தக்கரணங்களில் ஞானத்தை வைத்தவர் யார்? உள்ளத்தில் புத்தியைக் கொடுத்தவர் யார்?

36. Who hath put wysdome in the reynes? or who hath geuen the heart vnderstanding?

37. ஞானத்தினாலே கொடிமாசிகளை எண்ணுபவர் யார்?

37. Who numbreth the cloudes in wysdome? who stilleth the vehement waters of the heauen?

38. தூளானது ஏகபாளமாகவும், மண்கட்டிகள் ஒன்றோடொன்று ஒட்டிக்கொள்ளவும், ஆகாயத்துருத்திகளிலுள்ள தண்ணீரைப் பொழியப்பண்ணுகிறவர் யார்?

38. To cause the earth to grow into hardnesse, & the clots to cleaue fast together?

39. நீ சிங்கத்துக்கு இரையை வேட்டையாடி,

39. Wylt thou hunt the pray for the lion? or fill the appetite of the lions whelpes,

40. சிங்கக்குட்டிகள் தாங்கள் தங்கும் இடங்களிலே கிடந்து கெபியிலே பதிவிருக்கிறபோது, அவைகளின் ஆசையைத் திருப்தியாக்குவாயோ?

40. When they couche in their places, and tarie in the couert to lye in wayte?

41. காக்கைக்குஞ்சுகள் தேவனை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டு, ஆகாரமில்லாமல் பறந்து அலைகிறபோது, அவைகளுக்கு இரையைச் சவதரித்துக் கொடுக்கிறவர் யார்?

41. Who prouideth meate for the rauen, when his young ones crye vnto God, and flee about for lacke of meate?
