1. பின்னும் எலிகூ:

1. Then Elihu continued and said,

2. நான் பேசிமுடியுமட்டும் சற்றேபொறும்; இன்னும் தேவன் பட்சத்தில் நான் சொல்லவேண்டிய நியாயங்களை உமக்குச் சொல்லிக்காண்பிப்பேன்.

2. 'Wait for me a little, and I will show you That there is yet more to be said in God's behalf.

3. நான் தூரத்திலிருந்து என் ஞானத்தைக் கொண்டுவந்து, என்னை உண்டாக்கினவருடைய நீதியை விளங்கப்பண்ணுவேன்.

3. 'I will fetch my knowledge from afar, And I will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.

4. மெய்யாகவே என் வார்த்தைகள் பொய்யற்றிருக்கும்; உம்மோடே பேசுகிறவன் அறிவில் தேறினவன்.

4. 'For truly my words are not false; One who is perfect in knowledge is with you.

5. இதோ, தேவன் மகத்துவமுள்ளவர், அவர் ஒருவரையும் புறக்கணியார்; மன உருக்கத்திலும் அவர் மகத்துவமுள்ளவர்.

5. 'Behold, God is mighty but does not despise [any]; [He is] mighty in strength of understanding.

6. அவர் துன்மார்க்கரைப் பிழைக்க ஒட்டாதிருக்கிறார்; சிறுமையானவர்களின் நியாயத்தை விசாரிக்கிறார்.

6. 'He does not keep the wicked alive, But gives justice to the afflicted.

7. அவர் தம்முடைய கண்களை நீதிமான்களைவிட்டு விலக்காமல், அவர்களை ராஜாக்களோடே கூட சிங்காசனத்தில் ஏறவும், உயர்ந்த ஸ்தலத்தில் என்றைக்கும் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கவும் செய்கிறார்.

7. 'He does not withdraw His eyes from the righteous; But with kings on the throne He has seated them forever, and they are exalted.

8. அவர்கள் விலங்குகள் போடப்பட்டு, உபத்திரவத்தின் கயிறுகளால் கட்டப்பட்டிருந்தாலும்,

8. 'And if they are bound in fetters, And are caught in the cords of affliction,

9. அவர், அவர்கள் கிரியையையும், மிஞ்சிப்போன அவர்களுடைய மீறுதல்களையும் அவர்களுக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்தி,

9. Then He declares to them their work And their transgressions, that they have magnified themselves.

10. அக்கிரமத்தை விட்டுத் திரும்பும்படி அவர்கள் செவியைத் திறந்து கடிந்துகொள்ளுகிறார்.

10. 'He opens their ear to instruction, And commands that they return from evil.

11. அவர்கள் அடங்கி அவரைச் சேவித்தால், தங்கள் நாட்களை நன்மையாகவும், தங்கள் வருஷங்களைச் செல்வவாழ்வாகவும் போக்குவார்கள்.

11. 'If they hear and serve [Him], They will end their days in prosperity And their years in pleasures.

12. அடங்கார்களேயாகில் பட்டயத்துக்கு இரையாகி, ஞானம் அடையாமல் மாண்டுபோவார்கள்.

12. 'But if they do not hear, they shall perish by the sword And they will die without knowledge.

13. மாயமுள்ள இருதயத்தார் குரோதத்தைக் குவித்துக்கொள்ளுகிறார்கள்; அவர்களை அவர் கட்டிவைக்கும்போது கெஞ்சிக் கூப்பிடுவார்கள்.

13. 'But the godless in heart lay up anger; They do not cry for help when He binds them.

14. அவர்கள் வாலவயதிலே மாண்டுபோவார்கள்; இலச்சையானவர்களுக்குள்ளே அவர்கள் பிராணன் முடியும்.

14. 'They die in youth, And their life [perishes] among the cult prostitutes.

15. சிறுமைப்பட்டவர்களை அவர் சிறுமைக்கு நீங்கலாக்கி, அவர்கள் ஒடுக்கப்பட்டிருக்கையில் அவர்கள் செவியைத் திறக்கிறார்.

15. 'He delivers the afflicted in their affliction, And opens their ear in [time of] oppression.

16. அப்படியே அவர் உம்மையும் நெருக்கத்தினின்று விலக்கி, ஒடுக்கமில்லாத விசாலத்திலே வைப்பார்; உம்முடைய போஜனபந்தி கொழுமையான பதார்த்தங்களால் நிறைந்திருக்கும்.

16. 'Then indeed, He enticed you from the mouth of distress, Instead of it, a broad place with no constraint; And that which was set on your table was full of fatness.

17. ஆகாதவன்மேல் வரும் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு நிறைவேறப் பார்ப்பீர்; நியாயமும் நீதியும் உம்மை ஆதரிக்கும்.

17. 'But you were full of judgment on the wicked; Judgment and justice take hold [of you].

18. உக்கிரமுண்டாயிருக்கிறதினால் அவர் உம்மை ஒரு அடியினால் வாரிக்கொண்டுபோகாதபடிக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாயிரும்; அப்பொழுது மீட்கும் பொருளை மிகுதியாய்க் கொடுத்தாலும் அதற்கு நீர் நீங்கலாகமாட்டீர்.

18. '[Beware] that wrath does not entice you to scoffing; And do not let the greatness of the ransom turn you aside.

19. உம்முடைய செல்வத்தை அவர் மதிப்பாரோ? உம்முடைய பொன்னையும், பூரண பராக்கிரமத்தையும் அவர் மதிக்கமாட்டாரே.

19. 'Will your riches keep you from distress, Or all the forces of [your] strength?

20. ஜனங்கள் தங்கள் இடத்தைவிட்டு வாரிக்கொள்ளப்படப்போகிற இரவை வாஞ்சிக்காதிரும்.

20. 'Do not long for the night, When people vanish in their place.

21. அக்கிரமத்துக்குத் திரும்பாதபடிக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாயிரும்; உபத்திரவத்தைப்பார்க்கிலும் அக்கிரமத்தைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டீரே.

21. 'Be careful, do not turn to evil, For you have preferred this to affliction.

22. இதோ, தேவன் தம்முடைய வல்லமையில் உயர்ந்திருக்கிறார்; அவரைப் போல் போதிக்கிறவர் யார்?

22. 'Behold, God is exalted in His power; Who is a teacher like Him?

23. அவருடைய வழியின் நியாயத்தை விசாரிக்கத்தக்கவன் யார்? நீர் அநியாயம் செய்தீர் என்று சொல்லத்தக்கவன் யார்?

23. 'Who has appointed Him His way, And who has said, 'You have done wrong '?

24. மனுஷர் நோக்கிப்பார்க்கிற அவருடைய கிரியையை நீர் மகிமைப்படுத்த நினையும்.

24. 'Remember that you should exalt His work, Of which men have sung.

25. எல்லா மனுஷரும் அதைக் காண்கிறார்களே; தூரத்திலிருந்து அது மனுஷருக்கு வெளிப்படுகிறது.

25. 'All men have seen it; Man beholds from afar.

26. இதோ, தேவன் மகத்துவமுள்ளவர்; நாம் அவரை அறிய முடியாது; அவருடைய வருஷங்களின் இலக்கம் ஆராய்ந்து முடியாதது.

26. 'Behold, God is exalted, and we do not know [Him]; The number of His years is unsearchable.

27. அவர் நீர்த்துளிகளை அணுவைப்போல ஏறப்பண்ணுகிறார்; அவைகள் மேகத்திலிருந்து மழையாய்ச் சொரிகிறது.

27. 'For He draws up the drops of water, They distill rain from the mist,

28. அதை மேகங்கள் பெய்து, மனுஷர்மேல் மிகுதியாய்ப் பொழிகிறது.

28. Which the clouds pour down, They drip upon man abundantly.

29. மேகங்களின் பரவுதலையும், அவருடைய கூடாரத்திலிருந்து எழும்பும் குமுறல்களையும் அறியமுடியுமோ?

29. 'Can anyone understand the spreading of the clouds, The thundering of His pavilion?

30. இதோ, அதின்மேல் தம்முடைய மின்னலின் ஒளியை விரிக்கிறார்; சமுத்திரத்தின் ஆழங்களையும் மூடுகிறார்.

30. 'Behold, He spreads His lightning about Him, And He covers the depths of the sea.

31. அவைகளால் ஜனங்களை தண்டிக்கிறவரும், ஆகாரங்கொடுத்து இரட்சிக்கிறவருமாயிருக்கிறார்.

31. 'For by these He judges peoples; He gives food in abundance.

32. அவர் மின்னலின் ஒளியைத் தமது கைக்குள்ளே மூடி, அது இன்னின்னதை அடிக்கவேண்டுமென்று கட்டளையிடுகிறார்.

32. 'He covers [His] hands with the lightning, And commands it to strike the mark.

33. அதினால், அவர் செய்ய நினைக்கிறதையும், மந்தாரம் எழும்பப்போகிறதையும், ஆடுமாடுகள் அறியப்படுத்தும்.

33. 'Its noise declares His presence; The cattle also, concerning what is coming up.
