1. நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்தில் அன்புகூர்ந்து, அவருடைய பிரமாணங்களையும், அவருடைய கட்டளைகளையும், அவருடைய நியாயங்களையும், அவருடைய கற்பனைகளையும் எப்பொழுதும் கைக்கொள்வாயாக.

1. Therefore thou shall love LORD thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his ordinances, and his commandments, always.

2. உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் செய்த சிட்சையையும், அவருடைய மகத்துவத்தையும், அவருடைய பலத்த கையையும், அவருடைய ஓங்கிய புயத்தையும்,

2. And ye know this day, for it is not with your sons who have not known, and who have not seen the chastisement of LORD your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his outstretched arm,

3. அவர் எகிப்தின் நடுவிலே எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய பார்வோனுக்கும், அவன் தேசம் அனைத்திற்கும் செய்த அவருடைய அடையாளங்களையும், அவருடைய கிரியைகளையும்,

3. and his signs, and his works, which he did in the midst of Egypt to Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and to all his land,

4. எகிப்திய சேனையும் அவர்கள் குதிரைகளும் இரதங்களும் உங்களைப் பின் தொடர்ந்துவருகையில், கர்த்தர் சிவந்த சமுத்திரத்தின் ஜலத்தை அவர்கள்மேல் புரளப்பண்ணி, இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் இருக்கிறதுபோல, அவர்களை அழித்த அவருடைய செய்கையையும்,

4. and what he did to the army of Egypt, to their horses, and to their chariots, how he made the water of the Red Sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how LORD has destroyed them to this day,

5. and what he did to you in the wilderness, until ye came to this place,

6. பூமி தன் வாயைத் திறந்து, எலியாப் என்னும் ரூபன் குமாரனுடைய மக்களான தாத்தானையும் அபிராமையும், அவர்கள் குடும்பங்களையும், அவர்கள் கூடாரங்களையும், இஸ்ரவேலர் எல்லாருக்குள்ளும் அவர்களுக்கு இருந்த அவர்களுடைய சகல பொருள்களையும் விழுங்கும்படி செய்ததையும், அறியாமலும் காணாமலும் இருக்கிற உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளுடன் நான் பேசவில்லை; இன்று நீங்களே அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்.

6. and what he did to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben, how the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up, and their households, and their tents, and every living thing that followed them, in the midst of all Israel,

7. கர்த்தர் செய்த மகத்துவமான கிரியைகளையெல்லாம் உங்கள் கண்கள் அல்லவோ கண்டது.

7. but your eyes have seen all the great work of LORD which he did.

8. ஆகையால் நீங்கள் பலப்படும்படிக்கும்,

8. Therefore ye shall keep all the commandment which I command thee this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, where ye go over to possess it,

9. நீங்கள் சுதந்தரிக்கப்போகிற தேசத்துக்குள் பிரவேசித்து அதைச் சுதந்தரிக்கும்படிக்கும், கர்த்தர் உங்கள் பிதாக்களுக்கும் அவர்கள் சந்ததிக்கும் கொடுப்பேன் என்று அவர்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்ட பாலும் தேனும் ஓடுகிற தேசத்தில் நீங்கள் நீடித்து வாழும்படிக்கும், இன்று நான் உங்களுக்குக் கற்பிக்கிற கற்பனைகளையெல்லாம் கைக்கொள்வீர்களாக.

9. and that ye may prolong your days in the land, which LORD swore to your fathers to give to them and to their seed, a land flowing with milk and honey.

10. நீ சுதந்தரிக்கப்போகிற தேசம் நீ விட்டுவந்த எகிப்துதேசத்தைப்போல் இராது; அங்கே நீ விதையை விதைத்து, கீரைத்தோட்டத்திற்கு நீர்ப்பாய்ச்சுகிறதுபோல உன் காலால் நீர்ப்பாய்ச்சி வந்தாய்.

10. For the land, where thou go in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from where ye came out, where thou sowed thy seed, and watered it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs,

11. நீங்கள் சுதந்தரிக்கப்போகிற தேசமோ, மலைகளும் பள்ளத்தாக்குகளுமுள்ள தேசம்; அது வானத்தின் மழைத்தண்ணீரைக் குடிக்கும் தேசம்;

11. but the land, where ye go over to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinks water from the rain of heaven,

12. அது உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் விசாரிக்கிற தேசம், வருஷத்தின் துவக்கமுதல் வருஷத்தின் முடிவுமட்டும் எப்பொழுதும் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் கண்கள் அதின்மேல் வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும்.

12. a land which LORD thy God cares for. The eyes of LORD thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even to the end of the year.

13. நீங்கள் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்தில் உங்கள் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் உங்கள் முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும் அன்புகூர்ந்து, அவரைச் சேவிக்கும்படி, நான் இன்று உங்களுக்குக் கற்பிக்கிற என் கற்பனைகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்தால்,

13. And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently to my commandments which I command you this day, to love LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,

14. நீ உன் தானியத்தையும் உன் திராட்சரசத்தையும் உன் எண்ணெயையும் சேர்க்கும்படிக்கு, நான் ஏற்றகாலத்தில் உங்கள் தேசத்தில் முன்மாரியையும் பின்மாரியையும் பெய்யப்பண்ணி,

14. that I will give the rain of your land in its season, the former rain and the latter rain, that thou may gather in thy grain, and thy new wine, and thine oil.

15. மிருகஜீவன்களுக்காக உன் வெளிகளிலே புல் முளைக்கும்படி செய்வேன், நீ சாப்பிட்டுத் திருப்தியடைவாய் என்கிறார்.

15. And I will give grass in thy fields for thy cattle, and thou shall eat and be full.

16. உங்கள் இருதயம் வஞ்சிக்கப்படாமலும், நீங்கள் வழிவிலகி அந்நிய தேவர்களைச் சேவித்து அவர்களை நமஸ்கரியாமலும் இருக்கும்படி எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள்.

16. Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them,

17. இல்லாவிடில் கர்த்தருடைய கோபம் உங்கள்மேல் மூண்டு, மழை பெய்யாமற்போகவும், தேசம் தன் பலனைக் கொடாமலிருக்கவும் வானத்தை அடைத்துப்போடுவார்; கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த நல்ல தேசத்திலிருந்து நீங்கள் சீக்கிரத்தில் அழிந்துபோவீர்கள்.

17. and the anger of LORD be kindled against you, and he shut up the heavens, so that there shall be no rain, and the land shall not yield its fruit, and ye perish quickly from off the good land which LORD gives you.

18. ஆகையால் கர்த்தர் உங்கள் பிதாக்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று அவர்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்ட தேசத்தில் உங்கள் நாட்களும், உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளின் நாட்களும், பூமியின்மேல் வானம் இருக்கும் நாட்களைப்போல அநேகமாயிருக்கும்படிக்கு,

18. Therefore ye shall lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul. And ye shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes.

19. நீங்கள் என் வார்த்தைகளை உங்கள் இருதயத்திலும் உங்கள் ஆத்துமாவிலும் பதித்து, அவைகளை உங்கள் கையின்மேல் அடையாளமாகக் கட்டி, உங்கள் கண்களின் நடுவே ஞாபகக்குறியாக வைத்து,

19. And ye shall teach them to your sons, talking of them when thou sit in thy house, and when thou walk by the way, and when thou lay down, and when thou rise up.

20. அவைகளை உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு உபதேசித்து, நீங்கள் வீட்டில் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கிறபோதும், வழியிலே நடக்கிறபோதும், படுத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறபோதும், எழுந்திருக்கிறபோதும் அவைகளைக் குறித்துப் பேசுவீர்களாக.

20. And thou shall write them upon the door-posts of thy house, and upon thy gates,

21. அவைகளை உங்கள் வீட்டு நிலைகளிலும் உங்கள் வாசல்களிலும் எழுதுவீர்களாக.

21. that your days may be multiplied, and the days of your sons, in the land which LORD swore to your fathers to give them, as the days of the heavens above the earth.

22. நீங்கள் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்தில் அன்புகூர்ந்து, அவர் வழிகளிலெல்லாம் நடந்து, அவரைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டிருக்கும்படி, நான் உங்களுக்குச் செய்யக் கற்பிக்கிற இந்தக் கற்பனைகளையெல்லாம் ஜாக்கிரதையாய்க் கைக்கொள்வீர்களானால்,

22. For if ye shall diligently keep all this commandment which I command you, to do it, to love LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cling to him,

23. கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்கு முன்பாக அந்த ஜாதிகளையெல்லாம் துரத்திவிடுவார்; உங்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் ஜனம் பெருத்த பலத்த ஜாதிகளை நீங்கள் துரத்துவீர்கள்.

23. then will LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourselves.

24. உங்கள் உள்ளங்கால் மிதிக்கும் இடமெல்லாம் உங்களுடையதாயிருக்கும்; வனாந்தரத்தையும் லீபனோனையும் தொடங்கி, ஐபிராத்து நதியையும் தொடங்கி, கடைசிச் சமுத்திரம் வரைக்கும் உங்கள் எல்லையாயிருக்கும்.

24. Every place on which the sole of your foot shall tread shall be yours, from the wilderness, and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even to the hinder sea shall be your border.

25. உங்கள்முன் ஒருவரும் எதிர்த்து நிற்பதில்லை; உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னபடி உங்களால் உண்டாகும் பயமும் கெடியும் நீங்கள் மிதிக்கும் பூமியின்மேலெல்லாம் வரப்பண்ணுவார்.

25. There shall no man be able to stand before you. LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he has spoken to you.

26. இதோ, இன்று நான் உங்களுக்கு முன்பாக ஆசீர்வாதத்தையும் சாபத்தையும் வைக்கிறேன்.

26. Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse:

27. இன்று நான் உங்களுக்குக் கற்பிக்கிற உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் கற்பனைகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்தீர்களானால் ஆசீர்வாதமும்,

27. the blessing, if ye shall hearken to the commandments of LORD your God, which I command you this day,

28. எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் கற்பனைகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாமல், இன்று நான் உங்களுக்கு விதிக்கிற வழியைவிட்டு விலகி, நீங்கள் அறியாத வேறே தேவர்களைப் பின்பற்றுவீர்களானால் சாபமும் வரும்.

28. and the curse, if ye shall not hearken to the commandments of LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

29. நீ சுதந்தரிக்கப்போகிற தேசத்தில் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னைப் பிரவேசிக்கப்பண்ணும்போது, கெரிசீம் மலையின்மேல் ஆசீர்வாதத்தையும் ஏபால் மலையின்மேல் சாபத்தையும் கூறக்கடவாய்.
யோவான் 4:20

29. And it shall come to pass, when LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land where thou go to possess it, that thou shall set the blessing upon mount Gerizim, and the curse upon mount Ebal.

30. அவைகள் யோர்தானுக்கு அப்புறத்திலே சூரியன் அஸ்தமிக்கிற மேற்குவழியாய்க் கானானியர் குடியிருக்கிற நாட்டு வெளியிலே கில்காலுக்கு எதிரான மோரே என்னும் சமபூமியின் அருகேயல்லவோ இருக்கிறது?

30. Are they not beyond the Jordan, behind the way of the going down of the sun, in the land of the Canaanites who dwell in the Arabah, opposite Gilgal, beside the oaks of Moreh?

31. உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கிற தேசத்தைச் சுதந்தரிப்பதற்கு, நீங்கள் யோர்தானைக் கடந்துபோய், அதைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொண்டு, அதிலே குடியிருப்பீர்கள்.

31. For ye are to pass over the Jordan to go in to possess the land which LORD your God gives you, and ye shall possess it, and dwell in it.

32. ஆகையால் உங்களுக்கு இன்று நான் ஏற்படுத்துகிற சகல கட்டளைகளையும், நியாயங்களையும் கைக்கொண்டு நடக்கக்கடவீர்கள்.

32. And ye shall observe to do all the statutes and the ordinances which I set before you this day.
