1. I say then, Did not God thrust away His people? Let it not be! For I also am an Israelite, out of Abraham's seed, of the tribe of Benjamin.

2. God did not thrust away His people' whom He foreknew. Psa. 94:14 Or do you not know what the Scripture said in Elijah, how he pleaded with God against Israel, saying,

4. But what does the Divine answer say to him, 'I reserved to Myself seven thousand men who did not bow a knee to Baal.' 1 Kg. 19:18

5. அப்படிப்போல இக்காலத்திலேயும் கிருபையினாலே உண்டாகும் தெரிந்துகொள்ளுதலின்படி ஒரு பங்கு மீதியாயிருக்கிறது.

5. So then, also in the present time a remnant according to election of grace has come into being.

6. அது கிருபையினாலே உண்டாயிருந்தால் கிரியைகளினாலே உண்டாயிராது; அப்படியல்லவென்றால், கிருபையானது கிருபையல்லவே. அன்றியும் அது கிரியைகளினாலே உண்டாயிருந்தால் அது கிருபையாயிராது; அப்படியல்லவென்றால் கிரியையானது கிரியையல்லவே.

6. But if by grace, no longer is it of works; else grace no longer becomes grace. But if of works, it is no longer grace; else work is no longer work.

7. What then? What Israel seeks, this it did not obtain, but the election obtained it, and the rest were hardened;

11. I say, then, Did not they stumble that they fall? Let it not be! But by their slipping away came salvation to the nations, to provoke them to jealousy.

12. But if their slipping away is the riches of the world, and their default the riches of the nations, how much more their fullness?

13. For I speak to you, the nations, since I am an apostle of the nations, (I glorify my ministry),

14. if somehow I may provoke to jealousy my flesh, and may save some of them.

15. For if their casting away is the reconciliation of the world, what is the reception, except life from the dead?

16. Now if the firstfruit is holy, so also the lump. And if the root is holy, so also the branches.

17. But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree were grafted in among them, and became a sharer of the root and the fatness of the olive tree,

18. நீ அந்தக் கிளைகளுக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பெருமைபாராட்டாதே; பெருமைபாராட்டுவாயானால், நீ வேரைச் சுமக்காமல், வேர் உன்னைச் சுமக்கிறதென்று நினைத்துக்கொள்.

18. do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, it is not you that bears the root, but the root bears you.

19. நான் ஒட்டவைக்கப்படுவதற்கு அந்தக் கிளைகள் முறித்துப்போடப்பட்டதென்று சொல்லுகிறாயே.

19. You will say then, The branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.

20. நல்லது, அவிசுவாசத்தினாலே அவைகள் முறித்துப்போடப்பட்டன, நீ விசுவாசத்தினாலே நிற்கிறாய்; மேட்டிமைச் சிந்தையாயிராமல் பயந்திரு.

20. Well! For unbelief they were broken off. And you stand by faith. Do not be highminded, but fear.

21. சுபாவக்கிளைகளை தேவன் தப்பவிடாதிருக்க, உன்னையும் தப்பவிடமாட்டார் என்று எச்சரிக்கையாயிரு.

21. For if God did not spare the natural branches, fear that it may be He will not spare you either.

22. ஆகையால், தேவனுடைய தயவையும் கண்டிப்பையும் பார்; விழுந்தவர்களிடத்திலே கண்டிப்பையும், உன்னிடத்திலே தயவையும் காண்பித்தார்; அந்தத் தயவிலே நிலைத்திருப்பாயானால் உனக்குத் தயவு கிடைக்கும்; நிலைத்திராவிட்டால் நீயும் வெட்டுண்டுபோவாய்.

22. Behold, then, the kindness and severity of God: On those having fallen, severity. But on you, kindness, if you continue in the kindness. Otherwise, you will also be cut off.

23. அன்றியும், அவர்கள் அவிசுவாசத்திலே நிலைத்திராதிருந்தால் அவர்களும் ஒட்டவைக்கப்படுவார்கள்; அவர்களை மறுபடியும் ஒட்டவைக்கிறதற்கு தேவன் வல்லவராயிருக்கிறாரே.

23. And those also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in. For God is able to graft them in again.

24. சுபாவத்தின்படி காட்டொலிவமரத்திலிருந்து நீ வெட்டப்பட்டு, சுபாவத்திற்கு விரோதமாய் நல்ல ஒலிவமரத்திலே ஒட்டவைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தால், சுபாவக்கிளைகளாகிய அவர்கள் தங்கள் சுய ஒலிவமரத்திலே ஒட்டவைக்கப்படுவது அதிக நிச்சயமல்லவா?

24. For if you were cut out of the natural wild olive tree, and against nature were grafted into a good olive tree, how much more these being according to nature will be grafted into their own olive tree?

25. மேலும், சகோதரரே, நீங்கள் உங்களையே புத்திமான்களென்று எண்ணாதபடிக்கு ஒரு இரகசியத்தை நீங்கள் அறியவேண்டுமென்றிருக்கிறேன்; அதென்னவெனில், புறஜாதியாருடைய நிறைவு உண்டாகும்வரைக்கும் இஸ்ரவேலரில் ஒரு பங்குக்குக் கடினமான மனதுண்டாயிருக்கும்.

25. For I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be wise within yourselves, that hardness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the nations comes in;

26. இந்தப்பிரகாரம் இஸ்ரவேலரெல்லாரும் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவார்கள். மீட்கிறவர் சீயோனிலிருந்து வந்து, அவபக்தியை யாக்கோபைவிட்டு விலக்குவார் என்றும்;

26. and so all Israel will be saved, even as it has been written, 'The Deliverer will come out of Zion, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob.

28. Indeed, as regards the gospel, ones hostile toward you, but as regards the election, beloved for the sake of the fathers.

29. தேவனுடைய கிருபைவரங்களும், அவர்களை அழைத்த அழைப்பும் மாறாதவைகளே.

29. For the free gifts and the calling of God are unregrettable.

30. ஆதலால், நீங்கள் முற்காலத்திலே தேவனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாதிருந்து, இப்பொழுது அவர்களுடைய கீழ்ப்படியாமையினாலே இரக்கம் பெற்றிருக்கிறதுபோல,

30. For as you then also disobeyed God, but now have obtained mercy by the disobedience of these,

31. அவர்களும் இப்பொழுது கீழ்ப்படியாமலிருந்தும், பின்பு உங்களுக்குக் கிடைத்த இரக்கத்தினாலே இரக்கம் பெறுவார்கள்.

31. so also these now have disobeyed, so that they also may obtain mercy by your mercy.

32. எல்லார்மேலும் இரக்கமாயிருக்கத்தக்கதாக, தேவன் எல்லாரையும் கீழ்ப்படியாமைக்குள்ளே அடைத்துப்போட்டார்.

32. For God shut up all into disobedience, that He may show mercy to all.

33. ஆ! தேவனுடைய ஐசுவரியம், ஞானம், அறிவு என்பவைகளின் ஆழம் எவ்வளவாயிருக்கிறது! அவருடைய நியாயத்தீர்ப்புகள் அளவிடப்படாதவைகள், அவருடைய வழிகள் ஆராயப்படாதவைகள்!

33. O the depth of the riches and of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!

35. 'Or who first gave to Him, and it will be repaid to him?' Job 41:11

36. சகலமும் அவராலும் அவர் மூலமாயும் அவருக்காகவும் இருக்கிறது; அவருக்கே என்றென்றைக்கும் மகிமையுண்டாவதாக. ஆமென்.

36. Because of Him, and through Him, and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.
