1. I ask, then, has God rejected His people? Absolutely not! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin.

2. God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says in the Elijah section-- how he pleads with God against Israel?

3. Lord, they have killed Your prophets, torn down Your altars; and I am the only one left, and they are trying to take my life!

4. But what was God's reply to him? I have left 7,000 men for Myself who have not bowed down to Baal.

5. அப்படிப்போல இக்காலத்திலேயும் கிருபையினாலே உண்டாகும் தெரிந்துகொள்ளுதலின்படி ஒரு பங்கு மீதியாயிருக்கிறது.

5. In the same way, then, there is also at the present time a remnant chosen by grace.

6. அது கிருபையினாலே உண்டாயிருந்தால் கிரியைகளினாலே உண்டாயிராது; அப்படியல்லவென்றால், கிருபையானது கிருபையல்லவே. அன்றியும் அது கிரியைகளினாலே உண்டாயிருந்தால் அது கிருபையாயிராது; அப்படியல்லவென்றால் கிரியையானது கிரியையல்லவே.

6. Now if by grace, then it is not by works; otherwise grace ceases to be grace.

7. What then? Israel did not find what it was looking for, but the elect did find it. The rest were hardened,

8. as it is written: God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that cannot see and ears that cannot hear, to this day.

9. And David says: Let their feasting become a snare and a trap, a pitfall and a retribution to them.

10. Let their eyes be darkened so they cannot see, and their backs be bent continually.

11. I ask, then, have they stumbled so as to fall? Absolutely not! On the contrary, by their stumbling, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel jealous.

12. அவர்களுடைய தவறு உலகத்திற்கு ஐசுவரியமும், அவர்களுடைய குறைவு புறஜாதிகளுக்கு ஐசுவரியமுமாயிருக்க அவர்களுடைய நிறைவு எவ்வளவு அதிகமாய் அப்படியிருக்கும்.

12. Now if their stumbling brings riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full number bring!

13. Now I am speaking to you Gentiles. In view of the fact that I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry,

14. if I can somehow make my own people jealous and save some of them.

15. For if their being rejected is world reconciliation, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?

16. Now if the firstfruits offered up are holy, so is the whole batch. And if the root is holy, so are the branches.

17. Now if some of the branches were broken off, and you, though a wild olive branch, were grafted in among them, and have come to share in the rich root of the cultivated olive tree,

18. நீ அந்தக் கிளைகளுக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பெருமைபாராட்டாதே; பெருமைபாராட்டுவாயானால், நீ வேரைச் சுமக்காமல், வேர் உன்னைச் சுமக்கிறதென்று நினைத்துக்கொள்.

18. do not brag that you are better than those branches. But if you do brag-- you do not sustain the root, but the root sustains you.

19. நான் ஒட்டவைக்கப்படுவதற்கு அந்தக் கிளைகள் முறித்துப்போடப்பட்டதென்று சொல்லுகிறாயே.

19. Then you will say, 'Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.'

20. நல்லது, அவிசுவாசத்தினாலே அவைகள் முறித்துப்போடப்பட்டன, நீ விசுவாசத்தினாலே நிற்கிறாய்; மேட்டிமைச் சிந்தையாயிராமல் பயந்திரு.

20. True enough; they were broken off by unbelief, but you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid.

21. சுபாவக்கிளைகளை தேவன் தப்பவிடாதிருக்க, உன்னையும் தப்பவிடமாட்டார் என்று எச்சரிக்கையாயிரு.

21. For if God did not spare the natural branches, He will not spare you either.

22. ஆகையால், தேவனுடைய தயவையும் கண்டிப்பையும் பார்; விழுந்தவர்களிடத்திலே கண்டிப்பையும், உன்னிடத்திலே தயவையும் காண்பித்தார்; அந்தத் தயவிலே நிலைத்திருப்பாயானால் உனக்குத் தயவு கிடைக்கும்; நிலைத்திராவிட்டால் நீயும் வெட்டுண்டுபோவாய்.

22. Therefore, consider God's kindness and severity: severity toward those who have fallen, but God's kindness toward you-- if you remain in His kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off.

23. அன்றியும், அவர்கள் அவிசுவாசத்திலே நிலைத்திராதிருந்தால் அவர்களும் ஒட்டவைக்கப்படுவார்கள்; அவர்களை மறுபடியும் ஒட்டவைக்கிறதற்கு தேவன் வல்லவராயிருக்கிறாரே.

23. And even they, if they do not remain in unbelief, will be grafted in, because God has the power to graft them in again.

24. சுபாவத்தின்படி காட்டொலிவமரத்திலிருந்து நீ வெட்டப்பட்டு, சுபாவத்திற்கு விரோதமாய் நல்ல ஒலிவமரத்திலே ஒட்டவைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தால், சுபாவக்கிளைகளாகிய அவர்கள் தங்கள் சுய ஒலிவமரத்திலே ஒட்டவைக்கப்படுவது அதிக நிச்சயமல்லவா?

24. For if you were cut off from your native wild olive, and against nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these-- the natural branches-- be grafted into their own olive tree?

25. மேலும், சகோதரரே, நீங்கள் உங்களையே புத்திமான்களென்று எண்ணாதபடிக்கு ஒரு இரகசியத்தை நீங்கள் அறியவேண்டுமென்றிருக்கிறேன்; அதென்னவெனில், புறஜாதியாருடைய நிறைவு உண்டாகும்வரைக்கும் இஸ்ரவேலரில் ஒரு பங்குக்குக் கடினமான மனதுண்டாயிருக்கும்.

25. So that you will not be conceited, brothers, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery: a partial hardening has come to Israel until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.

26. இந்தப்பிரகாரம் இஸ்ரவேலரெல்லாரும் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவார்கள். மீட்கிறவர் சீயோனிலிருந்து வந்து, அவபக்தியை யாக்கோபைவிட்டு விலக்குவார் என்றும்;

26. And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written: The Liberator will come from Zion; He will turn away godlessness from Jacob.

27. And this will be My covenant with them, when I take away their sins.

28. Regarding the gospel, they are enemies for your advantage, but regarding election, they are loved because of their forefathers,

29. தேவனுடைய கிருபைவரங்களும், அவர்களை அழைத்த அழைப்பும் மாறாதவைகளே.

29. since God's gracious gifts and calling are irrevocable.

30. ஆதலால், நீங்கள் முற்காலத்திலே தேவனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாதிருந்து, இப்பொழுது அவர்களுடைய கீழ்ப்படியாமையினாலே இரக்கம் பெற்றிருக்கிறதுபோல,

30. As you once disobeyed God, but now have received mercy through their disobedience,

31. அவர்களும் இப்பொழுது கீழ்ப்படியாமலிருந்தும், பின்பு உங்களுக்குக் கிடைத்த இரக்கத்தினாலே இரக்கம் பெறுவார்கள்.

31. so they too have now disobeyed, [resulting] in mercy to you, so that they also now may receive mercy.

32. எல்லார்மேலும் இரக்கமாயிருக்கத்தக்கதாக, தேவன் எல்லாரையும் கீழ்ப்படியாமைக்குள்ளே அடைத்துப்போட்டார்.

32. For God has imprisoned all in disobedience, so that He may have mercy on all.

33. ஆ! தேவனுடைய ஐசுவரியம், ஞானம், அறிவு என்பவைகளின் ஆழம் எவ்வளவாயிருக்கிறது! அவருடைய நியாயத்தீர்ப்புகள் அளவிடப்படாதவைகள், அவருடைய வழிகள் ஆராயப்படாதவைகள்!

33. Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable His judgments and untraceable His ways!

34. கர்த்தருடைய சிந்தையை அறிந்தவன் யார்? அவருக்கு ஆலோசனைக்காரனாயிருந்தவன் யார்?

34. For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor?

35. தனக்குப் பதில்கிடைக்கும்படிக்கு முந்தி அவருக்கு ஒன்றைக் கொடுத்தவன் யார்?

35. Or who has ever first given to Him, and has to be repaid?

36. சகலமும் அவராலும் அவர் மூலமாயும் அவருக்காகவும் இருக்கிறது; அவருக்கே என்றென்றைக்கும் மகிமையுண்டாவதாக. ஆமென்.

36. For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.
